I have been using Flower's Marine for all my maintenance work on my '90 Bayliner Trophy. I bought…read morethe boat 4 yrs ago and the previous owner had used Flower's Marine for all of his work. Since I bought the boat a variety of issues have come up and some required replacement parts others just maintenance work. It has been my experience that Flower's does good work at a very fair price. Joe, the owner, is one of the more enjoyable people to deal with. He is patient and will explain what they are doing in a manner that is easy to understand. He and his mechanic are also VERY willing to give advice on work that you might undertake yourself and avoid a trip to the shop. All in all, a great business to do work with.

Not a lot of people know about this place on Lake Union, but it's very cool. You can learn all…read moreabout boating and the history of boating in Seattle. You can even take lessons or join one of their sales. The museum is free and it's not huge, but it's really nice. There's a "sister museum " on Camano Island but it's currently closed. I recommend Center For Wooden Boats if you're in the Lake Union area and are looking for a fun way to spend a few hours. The downside to this place is that, despite the parking lot right out front, the parking comes with a fee and the spaces fill up quickly. The streetcar stops right in front, but as a former volunteer it's inconvenient for me due to the time and amount of transfers it takes to get here using public transportation. But it's a fun place so if you don't mind the lack of free (and sometimes even paid parking is non existent) parking, this place is worth a visit

There is no better view of South Lake Union than the CWB piers and it is fun to take the kids for the boats as well as to watch the sea planes from Kingfisher Air take off. Kids LOVE sea planes. The have free weekend sails and the summer festival is a great way to spend a warm sunny day in the city. This is SUCH a gem in the middle of the city. Walking the piers is fantastic, the boats and the boat shop will make you want to pick up a mallet and chisel. The park that sits between the CWB and MoHAI is great in the summer. Parking can be sketchy right in front, but it is serviced by tram.

We started off with the 90 min ride in a group and plan on scheduling the 2 hour private ride for later this summer. Elizabeth was very friendly. I really appreciated how we got there, quickly signed up, got equipment and we were off after a introduction. She rode ahead and was always there to answer any questions but my daughter and I were close enough to comfortably talk the entire time. I highly recommend this place, it was both mine and my daughters favorite.

Our horses were very sweet and took good care of us especially on the rocky terrain. They were very surefooted and even though my husband is a very beginner rider he was able to feel confident and relaxed throughout the ride. Our trail guide was friendly and knowledgeable. She even let us do some trotting since she knew I had experience. It was definitely worth the price and I would highly recommend to anyone whether you've ridden before or not at all! 2 hours felt like just the right amount of time. They also offer a military discount!

The word of the day, Communication. sadly Sea Marine hasn't gotten around on that one…read more The phrase of the day "Get it in writing" I will commend them for availability but outside that Not impressed. To start, my rudder had sheered from the post so got towed into point hudson, I had scheduled a haul out for that Monday so spent the weekend on it, Monday comes and Jeremy tells me "oh I thought we said Wednesday" shrugged then went back to the computer, Generally, a Confirmation email and /or phone call with the scheduled haul out would've been sent. Wednesday, June 10th comes, get the boat to the haul-out station and half way up both owners Jeremy and Chris tell me "oh yeah, we require a $6000 deposit in case you abandon the boat" Really got me by the short ones here; My boat/home is in the air needing repairs and you decide NOW to tell me $6000 is owed before it's even up? Not to mention scratching the HELL out of my hull paint. I ask for the 2 week bottom paint package......6DAYS LATER they got it sanded and painted. I opted to repair the rudder myself because I was quoted a minimum of $5,000 but luckily years of sailing and working on ships, yachts and sailboats; I know my capabilities. With rudder repaired and back on I knoticed some paint was flaking and they swore they did 2 coats but ODDLY out of the 3 gallons of bottom paint I gave them only 1 was used and it wasn't fully empty. Again, YEARS of doing this work I know a 40 foot sailboat needs 2 gallons of bottom paint so the mystery is either, Sea Marine is pulling the sails over my eyes, my years of doing this work and math are liars OR we discovered a Bottom paint equivalent of Hanukkah oil that only One gallon was able to do 480 square feet TWICE. I'm sadly going to choose option one because After showing both Owners the blister and chipped paint that wasn't sanded well or feathered I go inside to fix a few things and over hear Jeremy tell his painter "Just throw some paint on it, I'm tired of this". Are you? Because I'm pretty tired of Having No communication through this whole thing, the bullshit excuse "we tried calling but straight to voicemail", I can get signal 30 nautical miles off the coast, pretty sure you can reach me out on Marrowstone. Safe assumption, I won't return here for work to get done which sucks cause they were convenient and that's really about it save yourself the hassle, go to the main Marina/boat yard, they'll allow you to do your own bottom work cause apparently can't even trust contractors. So I will bite the almost $5000 tab for shoddy bottom work and Not contacting me until "Oh we're done" with the blister still open and not even sanded, but I'll make that back the first week of sailing so they can have that but my Review remains Permanently.
