Amazing day of golf!! Beautiful course, fantastic greens! Definitely worth the trip. We will be back to golf this amazing course. Love the pro shop and lunch at the turn for the back 9 holes. Incredible Ocean views from most every hole. !!!

This was an incredibly fun, challenging, Pebble Beach vibe golf course. $60 for an ocean side course that was every bit of golf if you could ever want. The fairways need a little work, but the greens were spectacular and some of the ocean views were amazing. today was the only nice day that we had while we were here so I took advantage of it went out and played at 8 AM and had the entire course to myself.

Want to play golf on a Scottish links style course with dramatic ocean views? Skip the uber expensive courses down in Carmel and come up to the Sea Ranch. Dramatic views and abundant wildlife to either distract you and complement your round, depending on how well you play. Is it difficult? The way I play golf every golf course is difficult. But either way you won't be disappointed. Recommds playing early in the day when the wind is not as active as it can get pretty active along this stretch of coast as the day goes on.

What a cliff hanger drive to this beautiful gem of a golf course! It was a rainy day on 12-27-22 but I was able to be the first one off at 8am...constant wet conditions but was able to play amazingly from the white tees ...lots of natures animals like deer, cranes, ducks and other habitats throughout the round. Great staff...was very warm and hospitable to the end. Highly recommend this course and feel privileged to be able to finish 18 in less than three hours on this stormy day......Can't wait to come back next time with the fiancé!

Sea Ranch Golf Links will always hold a special place in my heart as the first place I played nine holes of golf. Was this the best place to learn how to play, yes and no. The positives are it's a hard course so you can't be too hard on yourself because it's hard on everyone. The negatives are its a hard course! The positives are even during peak times it's never too crowded, so you can take your time learning the game and no one is watching you swing. The positives are it's utterly beautiful! The holes back up to many of the architecturally interesting Sea Ranch houses and hole 8 overlooks the ocean. The negatives are roughs are just that, rough. If you come to play here, bring plenty of extra balls. You can find plenty if you look but don't get too attached to yours. I appreciate the layout of the course. Each hole leads into the next which makes walking the front nine really accessible. All and all, this course is exciting, challenging, frustrating, but relaxing all at the same time.

For a first timer like me, who has never walked onto a golf course...hold a golf club, let alone swing one and actually drive a ball... This place is pretty cool and really made me feel comfortable. I visited this golf course with absolutely no expectations seeing that I have never been to one before, but I was worried that they were going to have silly rules, like I can only golf with proper golf shoes or something...This public golf course is far from being the typical private bOoShy facility. The workers here are very nice and even offered me pointers. The driving range section is pretty big. We went during the day when there weren't as many people so it wasn't crowded (between noon-2pm). After hitting a few on the driving range we then found ourselves on the putting green. Again, there weren't many people at this time of day so it felt as if we had the practice area to ourselves. Overall the golf course is very beautiful and has very nice, helpful workers. If you're ever in the Sea Ranch area, I recommend this course! *Awesome views of the Pacific Ocean with a few deers that sometimes roam the course...

Hidden gem along the Sonoma Coast. One of the best designed courses. Amazing views. Fast and true greens. Truly a special place and must play for any avid golfer!

Nice course but fairways are dead grass and dirt. Not worth the high price. Nice views of ocean and nobody on the course.

Poorly ran facility. Bad management. For the cost of this place weather golfing or the resort side you would expect better.

They were serving Starbucks coffee and I grabbed a drip coffee - it wasn't anything special but gave me the energy I needed. I was just along for the ride this time, so I can't speak much about the difficulty of the course. That said, the conditions of the course were great, and the views are even better. Our group finished all 18 holes in about 3 hours and 45 minutes. About two thirds of the way through the front 9, an employee brought us a new cart saying that ours was running low on battery. I appreciate that they were on top of that, as it would have been a bummer to get stuck with a dead cart. If you're looking for a scenic round of golf on the coast, this course is definitely worth a stop.

There is never a shot where the combination of your lie, elevation change and the wind factor hugely in your club selection. But getting to the green is only 1/2 the problem. The greens ( although somewhat smooth) are impossible to have success in putting. The greens are loaded with grain and there is absolutely zero consistency as to where it exists on the green. Zoom in on the last photo and you'll see what I am referring to. The darker areas are not wet or damp spots. That's how severe the grain is. Literally, you can have a 20 foot putt and have 3 maybe even 4 grain changes from ball to hole!!! The superintendent should get the vertical mower going asap.

I started playing here two months ago after I decided to get back into golfing after a 35 year break. The staff are friendly, the pro shop is well stocked. Even during the height of tourist season it's been easy to get a day-of tee time. The course itself is well- maintained for a $30/$45 per round course. It's also relatively hilly and tight. Two restrictions to note are that the driving range is a little short. I think the back fence is just shy of 200yds. And there's not enough space around the practice green to practice chipping from more than a few yards out. So it's tough to get a comprehensive practice session in. Not a big deal if you're traveling through.

It had a nice little driving range and practice putting green. The pro shop is well-stocked, and they have a couple of beers on tap, including local Scrimshaw Pilsner. The layout is definitely strange, and they have back to back par 5's, so this is not just a little pitch and put nine holer. They have alternate tees on a few holes, so you can play it twice for 18. The people in the pro shop are really nice. Fun spot to hang out if you're in the area. They also give you a discount if you're staying at the Inn.

No sooner had we ordered than our food arrived--within about five minutes. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and we enjoyed a beautiful view of the golf course from our table by the window. The pancake was bigger than our heads, so we ordered just one and shared it. It was absolutely delectable! Because we enjoyed our breakfast experience so much, we decided to return that evening for dinner. Unfortunately, our dinner experience could not have been more different. When we arrived, we were told to choose any table we liked, which was fine. However, once we sat down, we were completely ignored. Eventually, I waved a waitress over. She brought us silverware and a couple of menus, and that was the last we saw of her for quite some time. Meanwhile, other guests were arriving and being seated at tables adjacent to ours, and they were served almost immediately. I watched as their orders were taken while we continued waiting without even being acknowledged. My cousin eventually got up and went to the bar to order a drink. He was told that it would be better to order from our table because we would receive faster service that way. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. I watched the table next to us receive their soup while we still had not even been able to order a drink. I finally waved another waitress down. She told me she would find the waitress who had originally been assigned to us. We continued to wait. When the other waitress finally returned, she said she would take our order herself. We both ordered steak and baked potatoes, and she asked if we wanted our potatoes "loaded," which we did. She also took our drink order. Another 15-20 minutes passed, and we still had not received our drinks. At this point, the situation had become extremely frustrating, and we could not help but feel that we were being treated differently because of our race. Eventually, another waiter came over and apologized for the long wait. He went over our order with us and explained that they had been out of baked potatoes for about two hours. He asked what drinks we had ordered. We told him, and he again profusely apologized. He acknowledged how long we had been waiting and said he would get our drinks immediately and put in our food order. I have traveled all over the world and have visited countless restaurants and businesses, but I have never experienced this kind of treatment. This was the first time in my life that I genuinely felt I was experiencing racism. I sincerely hope that this was not the reason we were treated the way we were, but based on everything that happened that evening, it is difficult not to feel that way. The contrast between our breakfast and dinner experiences was astonishing. During breakfast, we felt welcomed, respected, and valued. That evening, we felt completely ignored and unwelcome. If this is truly what we experienced, I cannot see myself returning to Northwood Golf Club. I hope management takes this experience seriously and looks into how guests are being treated, because no customer should leave an establishment feeling the way we did. It is especially disappointing because we had such a wonderful breakfast experience that we actually chose to come back for dinner. Unfortunately, that second visit left us with a completely different impression of the establishment.
