This place is a hidden gem. It's small with about a dozen sites with some actually on the beach! Brenda was amazing to work with and even allowed me to move a picknick table to better orient my small trailer. The views from my site (bluff10) were stunning. Restroom and shower were right behind my site. It was perfect. Harbor seals were hanging out on a rock just down from my site. The private beach cove is about a 2 minute walk up and down a fairly steep road. Again....the views! I'll be back for sure. read more

Weird....just freaken weird. Ok, so our party consisted of 8 people and we booked two camp sites and both sites were down by the beach. WARNING! The beach is tiny so don't expect too much. The camp sites are very small and it may be too cramped for some people, so just a heads up. ANYWAYS, so everything was fine till the end. We had packed up our gear and were ready to load our cars. We had our trash ready to toss. We go up to toss the trash only to find out she can't take our trash BUT was willing to take our recyclables. So we were expected to sift through our trash and separate it. We all decided we weren't gonna do that and ended up taking our trash home with us. The real issue here is the lack communication. Why didn't the owner ever communicate with us during booking or prior to us setting up to keep the trash separated? We would've easily done that from the beginning. Also, why do you not have the capacity to handle the trash from campers? You have 9 campsites so possibly up to 40 people staying at your campground. Did you not expect any trash from the campers? So my warning to large parties who are considering this camp ground, consider the real possibility that you may be taking your trash home with you. Cause we did. read more

Awesome host, great camp site and very well priced. We enjoyed our stay here. We stayed at the beach and we had it for ourselves during the entire stay. Nice beach and waterfall (yes there's a small water fall you can camp right next to it too). Thanks Brenda! read more

If I can give zero stars, I would have. Worst camping trip ever! The website and its description of the campground is misleading. When I booked over the phone, I booked a total of 6 sites. She said the campgrounds were called Fish Camp and it was secluded so my family and I will have the whole area. When we got there, it was a dumpster fire. The property is worn down and you are right next to the highway. She expected us to put up our tents right next to the highway where cars coming the highway in high speed could crash into the tents. Additionally, it was clear that she overbooked. Out of the 6 sites we reserved, we only got 4 sites spread out with one sites already being occupied by an RV, so we "shared" it. We got scammed! She even had the audacity to ask one camper to pack up and move quoting "he wasn't suppose to be there" but it was obvious she overbooked it. She also continued to harass us throughout our stay. She would storm over to the site and accuse us for leaving the bathroom light on, demand that we pick up something that was on the floor, etc. even though there were probably 20 other campers out there. Brenda is rude and disrespectful and probably bi polar. The bathrooms are disgusting and sites are also old and disgusting. I will never go back to this place again read more

Great place, right along the ocean! Stayed on the peninsula, and the campsite was beautiful and right next to the ocean! And Brenda was super helpful. The only downsides are that this place is kinda pricy for camping, and you're packed in pretty close to other campsites, but the sound of the ocean is loud enough that you won't hear them. read more

From Beauty to the Beast Brenda: Beach Camping Gone Wrong The view at the site is stunning and the beach itself is the kind of place that makes you believe you've found a perfect escape. Fellow campers were generally friendly, and the scenery is undeniably beautiful. But the experience quickly soured, and there are some serious red flags to consider before booking. What went wrong Early-morning chaos: At about 5:20 am, random vehicles tried to navigate a steep, narrow access road with barely any room. Debris and dust flew into the air as tires slipped on rock, making sleep nearly impossible and posing a real risk to anyone camped nearby. Unstable tent placement: The host, referred to here as the "Beast," forced us to move our tents three times and pressured guests to relocate to spots far closer to the waves. This felt unsafe given rising tides and nighttime weather shifts. Safety and tides ignored: Several tents ended up dangerously close to the edge where waves and rising water could reach them. It's hard to feel secure when tides can change the landscape so quickly. Rude, inconsistent management: The host was blunt and rude, talking to guests as if they were children. There was no calm, helpful guidance--just orders and dismissiveness. Poor logistics and transparency: No clear campsite map or layout was provided. Payments appeared cash-only, and there were hints of tax/reporting dodges, which adds to the sense of unreliability and lack of accountability. Profit over safety: The push to cram more tents into limited space, even at the expense of guest safety, felt exploitative rather than respectful of guests' wellbeing. Neighbor discomfort: A nearby tent ended up getting wet from the ocean, underscoring how planning and site allocation were poorly handled. Bottom line If you're looking for a calm, family-friendly beach camping trip with clear guidelines, reliable logistics, and a safety-first approach, this place is not it. The combination of unsafe access, forced tent relocations, poor communication, and a dismissive host makes the risk not worth the reward. Better options exist: seek sites with transparent maps, posted tide information, stewarded by attentive staff, and where safety is prioritized over occupancy. If you still decide to go, do so with extreme caution, bring your own tide knowledge and camping gear, and be prepared to relocate emergency-ward tents yourself. read more

Views were pretty but Brenda was shitty. By far one of the worst individuals I've interacted with.... also a boat launch!? This is not a boat launch. We paid for our spot, and then once night fell, Brenda told us that we had to consolidate and move as we were taking up two spaces. She was upset and asked if we could read... to which she then responded with "most people can't" and proceeded to show us the lot number which was behind a bush and the paint was faded. Before she left us, we had asked about the kayak launch as there was a chain blocking the entrance. She said that it's free for your first time but $10 kayak launch fee for every additional time. She also mentioned we can't drive a vehicle down. We move spots in the dark, and then the next morning she comes out aggravated that we moved, even though she told us to do so last night. She proceeds to say that the spot is going to cost us $85 + $10 for water/electricity if we want to stay. She also mentions that this spot is reserved and that we would need to be packed up and out of the spot by 12 tomorrow. We agree to stay and she goes separate ways. Not maybe two hours later we get informed from on the water. that we need to pack up and leave even though we still had 2 nights. once back to shore, I was informed by my friend that Brenda had said, she spoke to me earlier and that I was drunk and she told me that we had to be out of the spot by noon today... Even though we literally just spoke with her two hours ago. We spoke to some other campers and it appears that this wasn't just happening to us either. They told us that Brenda changed them $100 extra for having a pop-up tent on the beach, and wouldn't let them drive down, but other campers could.... We left. And the boat launch is a 70° slope with loose gravel and concrete pads sticking together. read more

The worst experience I've ever had at a camp site. The host Brenda is the most rudest person I have ever encountered. We booked 6 sites and ended up with 4 because she over booked. Brenda kept on coming over and complaining about everything under the sun. Granted we had kids and they can get a bit messy but we explained to her that we will clean it up like we always do but she was not understanding. I typically don't complain but this experience has left me extremely angry at the way my family was treated. From the constant interruptions from her complaints to the misleading information about her campsites, this person should not be in business. Our sites were literally 10 feet away from the highway. We where promised a secluded meadow camp site and got a highway side walk with a Cal-Tran station across the 2 lane highway. The site had no barriers from the cliff on our site. DANGEROUS! Especially for families with kids. The host (Brenda) was trash, the sites were trash, the whole experience was trash. I highly don't recommend this site for anybody. read more

Called Brenda a month ago that my lady and I were making a trip to the coast. She told us the beach camping is limited to two vehicles. I was very clear we would be using a ground tent next to the truck and there is plenty of room to spread out. I paid the fee and traveled 3 hours to the destination. The property was rundown and right along the road but the views spectacular. We met Brenda and drove to our site and began to set up. She came back down and told us we had to move the truck because of 5 other tents that would be down there the same night and there is a "truck length limitation". Our truck would also be blocked in by other campers. We left to find another place to camp. I disputed the charge and want to warn people of the terrible experience read more

Not sure what the fuss is all about. I've fished here many times and Brenda has always been kind to me/us. Our last trip, it was a group outing and rented the group sites, Brenda was fair, kind and even checked up on us from time to time to make sure we were ok. Even gave us some graham crackers, chocolate and marshmallows for Smores. Bathrooms were clean, hot showers and clean toilets. read more

Beautiful spot! We came here on a Friday afternoon (8/8/14) after our original spot (Russian River Campground) fell through. We had tried a few sites nearby but with little to no campsites to chose from. We were pointed to Timber Cove by the Sonoma County State Beach ranger. Since this is private property, the rules at many state run sites do not apply -- alcohol, open fires, etc. What a find! When we arrived, we were greeted by the owner. She was very helpful in finding us a site. There is a peninsula spot off the side of the highway -- it offered beautiful views of the beach, far enough away from the highway that the noise shouldn't be a problem, and secluded enough that other campers will not be a problem. There is a spot off the driveway on the way down to the beach -- nice and secluded I would be concerned of cars pulling into the beach late at night. My favorite spot there was a small-ish site right along the water. It's slightly elevated so you're surrounded by water on three sides during high tide but the rocks in the area keeps you nice and dry. The first spot we camped at was right near the driveway where fishers can pull their boats in to launch. This caused a scare in the morning when we hear the reverse beeping of a truck and men yelling over the sound of their engine to guide their boat down in the morning. We were safe but it did startle us. We also discovered that the site was at a slight incline so it was a bit uncomfortable to sleep on. It was nice at night, though when we had our campfire going and late arrival campers were making their way down. We were the first site they walked by so we got to talk to a few other campers. Our second night was spent on the waterside site described above. It was fantastic! The only downside was the cliffside next to the site blocked out the sun in the late afternoon/early evening so it got chilly early on. It was $45 a night per site and $8 per bundle of wood, cash only. The closest ATM is about 30 minutes north but there is a convenience store about two miles north that will give you up to $40 back on debit purchases. No cell reception so it's pretty off the grid, research things to do before getting here so you're not just aimlessly searching. read more

I heard about Timber Cove through a friend that loves coming here to spearfish and camp. Great small private campground. We were lucky enough to come at a time when there was not much people and the weather was nice (in May!) Booked the waterfall campsite, absolutely gorgeous. Saw lots of great wildlife, birds, seals and lots of sea kayaks out fishing. They have nice bathrooms (I only know of what the womens look like) and showers (to pay). It is a small campground and is next to a small mobile home park and a beautiful resort you can walk to and explore the grounds. Brenda is very nice and was very helpful when I called to book the site and day of when I checked in! Plenty of picnic tables and firepit rings for all your camping needs. Views are amazing, not expensive, not your usual camping which I like! read more

My husband said, "that was the worst camping I have ever experienced." We only stayed there because we had to change plans 11th hour due to fires near our reserved campsite inland; and, nothing else was available. You are better off staying home, or camping in your car. We had to put up our tent in a small area wedged between the highway, a bathroom, and two other campsites. "Wedged" as in people from the adjacent campsites were inadvertently bumping against our tent as they moved around in the night; and, the bathroom light was shining directly into our tent. Between our "campsite" and the highway, there was just enough space to park our car. It was overpriced to begin with ($40, when the going rate for much larger, and set-back campgrounds is between $20 and $30 per vehicle); and, she charged us extra for each person. There was No View of the ocean from this spot. The "campsites" on the other side of the restroom offer a view; however, they also offer a steep drop off with nothing to stop a wandering child or pet from falling over the edge. Fortunately, we found a much better spot in the same area the following night that was not only a much better spot, it was cheaper. And, the other location was walking distance from trails along the coast. read more

More like a 2.5 star review but no matter. There's camping on the beach (rocky, loud, and cold!) but pretty. It seems this place is private property and can charge whatever for what they offer. It's $40 a night, and truly only one spot was out of wind and worth taking - the spot by the driveway off to the right OFF the beach. Tucked away and private. Nice. The other spots were down by the water, and since people go out on boats and kayaks early (5am?) it can get loud by the beach. This place would is ok if you need last minute camp sites - otherwise I would consider the star parks. The bathrooms were, hmmm, under stocked? No curtains on mens showers, and it took forever to get hot water to the sinks. Guess we will smell like campfire for the ride home. Firewood: $8 a bundle for fast burning wood with kindling - each bundle probably gets you 3 hours of fire. Parking: down by the beach or up by the highway - it can be quite the schlep to bathrooms from beach, btw. Host: Brenda (?) was gracious and offered suggestions for whatever you needed, and was pleasant, polite, and checked on us twice! The 2 star rating is really for the bathroom facilities and the loud driveway near the beach camping. read more

What a weird experience. We were looking for a place to camp in the area and called this place a week ahead of time to see if we could make a reservation. She said the place is "practically empty" this time of year and to just come by. So that's what we did. Came by at 2pm that Saturday (after calling in the morning to confirm there would be availability) and no one was in the office. Left $45 to camp and a note to ask her to hold us one of the beach spots like we had discussed. Come back a couple hours later to have her tell us the beach was full but there was a "nice spot" on the "peninsula" at the end of the property and to take a look at it. We looked at this spot which was also occupied by some other campers on a cliff (apparently it was 3 campsites but in my opinion it was better suited for 1) but the available space was also right next to the freeway. There was no real place to set up our very small tent. We were feeling desperate at this point so we went back to the office to ask if this weird spot next to the freeway was the same space she was talking about. She started getting a major attitude when I asked for clarity on the location of the available site (she made it sound a lot nicer than a dirt patch next to the highway, which is exactly what it was) and we reluctantly agreed to pay the $35 for the site. When we got back to the site we agreed it was not the experience we hoped for, so we made a last minute decision to drive north to see if there were any first come first serve sites available in Salt Point State Park (the Woodside campground). Lo and behold there were several very nice sites available with water and flushing toilets nestled in a beautiful redwood forest (and you couldn't even hear the freeway). We considered going back to ask for a refund but decided she would likely come unhinged based on our earlier experience and $35 wasn't worth the trouble to deal with that. Avoid this place. Support the local park system instead and snag a spot at Woodside. And definitely check out the day use area at Gerstle Cove across the highway. It was incredible!!! We watched whales as the sun set. Our weekend was saved! read more

3.5 stars I have to say this place has tons of potential. The orange, white, red flowers, the mint, the trees whom remind me of the trees that are all over Monterey, the cliffside camping spots, the short walk down to the ocean, the awe inspiring building-tall rocks that surround the cove..so much potential this place can have, that I really don't believe the owner, who is nice but seems overwhelmed, maximizes on. The lady owner seemed very nice at first, but seemed as someone else mentioned, short in responses as the day wore on. Over the phone she seemed to try to be very helpful, but would get impatient with her answers. At the camp I wasn't bothered too much at the cliff site occupants whose 2 trailers had like, maybe 10 or more kids, and multiple sets of parents. I suppose since we paid $35 for 3 people, & $10 per head after that, why would she mind? The huge families who stayed there seemingly ran the weekend & camp & played football, catch & Frisbee & blocked the walkway for most of the weekend. They accidentally threw their flying objects in our camp once. Their dog ran free off leash twice & peed & pood on my "little meadow". I was concerned about not so much what the dogs did, but more so, the rules not being enforced. But, it wasn't really that that ticked me off..the dogs, the incessant playing flying object catch & the loud shrieks of glee that accompanies catch with kids of differing ages during all hours of the day. What REALLY bothered me the most was what she was not doing at the night time. You have to consider the size of this camp. It's small, in the upper area. Very small. I felt sorry for the cliff side campers, SOOOO glad we didn't choose that in our first come first serve choice. And at night, those two campsites that held maybe 15 people, had kids in tents that stayed up arguing, yelling at each other & playing till amost 11 at night. I was soooo irritated!! Finally, I said loudly, "SSSSHHH!!!!" No one seemed to notice. Except my Hubby that kicked me in the leg for doing that. Finally, a break in the clouds.. one of the Dads had enough & he yelled at them & they all hushed. But not after maybe 10 minutes more of their loud bickering. UGH!!! Seriously..I can't do campgrounds that allow this to their patrons. For that alone, I wouldn't want to come here again. I would try Ocean Cove instead that is also located in Jenner. There are other reasons I would doubt coming here again. And a reason I really couldn't ask my friends or fam to stay here, cuz they would think I am nuts. THE BATHROOMS. Seriously, another reviewer said the mens bathrooms have no curtain. For me, it's not the curtain I am worried about in the ladies bathroom. It's the holes in the walls that look like someone got into a fight in the there & no one bothered spackling it up! I really wish I took a picture of these holes, cuz these holes are straight startling. I'm talking like holes that look like someone punched them or slammed chairs in them. Was the water pressure too low? Someone was seriously pi**ed whomever laid their hands on this place. I mean, the office/house is nice..why not spread the niceness to the one paying your bills..US the campers? So we would wanna come back & continue to pay the bills? Makes sense right? There are actually 2 showers, but the other one has no dials, so you can't shower there. And the floors are like, from a jail cell. It's seriously up for demolition. No joke. Again, wish I took pix, never thought I'd see that in a campground. The biggest reason I would never stay at the cliff spots with kids are simply..it's a death trap. At the site that's straight to the back when you drive in has a broken fence...and if you look down past that broken fence, you're basically looking at an uninhibited drop of a length of..I don't know...a 4 story house? Your body, or a dog or anyone say, playing tag ran too close to the bluff can easily fall down on rocks and rocks & more rocks where the ocean campground & fish cleaning are. This is appalling carelessness on the owner's behalf. I kept thinking...um,who can i call to report this to?? The campground police!! Is there even such a thing? Where the hexx is the yellow caution tape, cuz anyone with some sense & care for their customers would make sure no one would fall, right? Did the tape blow away with that ocean wind?? The ancient fence, or what is left of that rotting thing is actually just sticks that have huge gaps & it appears a balcony had already broken off. I hope no one died standing on it & plummeted to their death! Crazy!! And I am so not exaggerating! With all that being said, I did adore the little meadow where we stayed. If you must stay there with little kids this may be the one I would highly suggest. It still has a panoramic ocean view, it's far enough from the bluff/cliff that the kids didn't go there & it's a distance far enough so I don't feel like my neighbors and I are bumping shoulders. Ran outta rant space. The end! read more

This is the place for you if you're optimizing around camping in very close (25 yds?) proximity to great abalone diving and fishing, and if you are banking on essentially zero campground infrastructure. It's not the place for you if you're looking for any sort of managed experience (eg being assigned a camp number and a clear spot), solid infrastructure, or a quiet and private camping experience. That said, there is a decent porta potty and a fish cleaning station at the beach camp site, and good plumbed toilets in the main RV area. There are also coin operated shower ($2 in quarters!!) that I didn't use. If you go, make sure you bring: + quarters if you want to take a hot shower (there is no change machine- I must admit the lack of any notification the showers were coin op and no change machine was the biggest wtf moment of the weekend for me) + camping table and chairs- there are no picnic tables or any infrastructure beyond the fish cleaning station and porta potty in the beach camping area + flashlight for going to the bathroom at night + air mattress or cot- the beach is very rocky, a thermarest is not sufficient if you want a smooth sleeping surface + of course a lot of layers- it's cold on the coast! The owner seems nice, but an updated website and implementation of an electronic reservation system would go a loooooong way in improving organization and customer experience. read more

I was absolutely amazed at the new Timber Cove boat landing. It is at the same location but very much improved. As a kid in the 60's we'd come up to dive, back then and early 70's it was an ok spot to go, easy beach access and boat launch. Back then the proprietor was Dave Verno. Now it is run by Daves daughter Brenda. Brenda has very much cleaned up the place and made it much more inviting. Brenda is a very welcoming hostess that seems to know the names and needs of all her campers. Amazing. Very friendly and attentive not only to guests but to strangers seeking information on the beautiful Sonoma coast. A very welcome surprise. read more

This place is not really worth the price. The little beach camping area is nice and the views are spectacular which is where we stayed. But the whole place is a bit of a mess. It's as if among all the junk, old trailers, cars, etc., the owner decided to carve out a "campground". The bathrooms were under repair when we got there, but there was a half decent porta-potty that leaned so far over that the door would not stay shut located down by the beach where we camped. Brenda is fairly nice, but my wife and I found out quickly that something small could set her off. The office is actually her house, so depending on where you step she may yell at you to take your shoes off. She yelled at us because we somehow slightly stepped out of the office and into the living room?? Where was the demarcation line? A sign perhaps? She sells super dry and fast burning firewood for 8 bucks a bundle. You might get one hour's worth of burn time. Maybe. She takes cash only. NO checks and NO credit cards. She also takes NO information from the campers (name, ID, License plate numbers, etc.) so I imagine this place is a safe bet for those of the criminal persuasion or those who may have recently robbed a bank and need a quiet place to chill and lay low for a while. This is definitely NOT AN RV park, so keep on driving past if you are looking for a full or even partial hookup. The campsites are not safe on the topside overlooking the ocean. Broken fences means a wandering child could meet their fate in a matter of seconds. It was not terrible staying here, but it was not worth 45 dollars and the accommodations could be vastly improved. Otherwise the views are beautiful and its fairly quiet. If you head north down the PCH for 2.5 miles there is a much nicer campground that is safe, clean and has better accommodations and actually has a full service general store across the street called Ocean Cove Store. Next time we will skip this place for an actual campground! I'm giving it 2 stars but only for the location. read more

Been coming here for years to launch my kayak and fish the cove. Personally, I like the simplicity and quaint beach area. However, the cost to stay has increased (not sure when, but I camped here last year) from $25 per night to $45 PER PERSON. And then I was told that vehicles were not permitted to park in the launch area, so I had to unload all of my equipment and drive my car back up to park on the highway which increased my workload considerably in the morning, having to neatly pack everything up before launch, and drive the vehicle back up to the highway. BTW, after I was told that I was not allowed to park next to the beach, 3 more vehicles pulled in and parked there overnight and were still parked there at 1pm when I returned from fishing. In addition to that, the owner/manager wasn't even pleasant. I used to really love this spot, but it's lost it's charm. There are far better spots to camp (and more affordable) just a few miles north or south. read more

Beautiful view but our RV was only about 6 feet away from hwy 1 kinda rough at night to sleep with the RV getting blown side to side by the truckers taking the road all night and the front the the RV door opened up to a cliff. Great beach tent camping though! Not so awesome for larger RV really tight spots. What a great place!! My wife and I happened to stumble on this place by accident a couple of years ago on our anniversary as we were driving up the coast in our motor home, and now we come here as often as possible. To have a campsite on the edge of a cliff overlooking the ocean is breath taking and a rarity. Hearing the crashing of the waves against the rocks and beach at night is wonderful and soothing. The bathrooms and showers and clean, the Owner "Brenda" is wonderful and she knows all the hidden treasures, hiking trails, historical areas and restaurants to go too. I'm giving this place a 1 star because the views were amazing! However, if you have small kids this is not the place for you, there are no gates up and she has a couple of big piles of rock that kids will want to play on that simply aren't safe. The cliffs make it a death trap. The views are amazing, but the campsite is seriously trailer park trash. Women's showers did not work and frankly old park bathrooms compare to the ones there. The owner Brenda is horrific and she is very very rude. As campers we leave the City to get away from people like Brenda. We will not be going back and will never recommend this place. If you do end up going just beware her personality switches in a nano sec and its pretty scary. read more

I didn't want to write this review for fear that you yelp suckers will pounce on our secret camping spot. We decided to camp here for the night on the recommendation of the rangers at Salt Point state park. There were no campsites available at the park so we had to adapt and I think things turned out pretty well. Our campsite was freaking awesome. It was somewhat isolated on a peninsula with a great ocean view. You could also choose to camp on the cliffs or the beach. The cliffs aren't so much cliffs as they are a parking lot. We came across a couple that drove a few hours to camp out here and they ended up with a campsite right next to the highway with no ocean view, which is kind of awful, so the other campsites at the facility are pretty hit or miss. The beach campsites were also kind of...anticlimactic. I had some high hopes for the beach sites but I was a bit disappointed. The beach itself is not that wide so if you're trying to camp and a douchebag couple has "claimed" half of the beach, like when we checked out the campsite, then you're not going to have much space. Brenda, the owner, told us that we were free to tell them to make some room, but I really didn't want to do that and risk there being tension between two neighboring campsites. Doesn't seem like a good idea, does it? Anyway, other than our specific campsite, the facilities are..okay. There's not much else to do within walking distance so you'll have to drive to salt point eventually. All in all, we walked in with no reservations and got a great camp site. Not a RV PARK!!!!!! After having some discussions with the woman who owns this place, we decided to take a two hour detour on our trip to stay there. Upon arrival we found that this place is not suitable for any RV. We pulled in and the RV spots offered were barely big enough for a 19 foot trailer. The Place is completely, completely rundown and not safe for children or even elderly people. The woman was extremely nice on the phone, but in the end she is a liar and wasted our families time and money. We had to head back down the hill to bodega Bay to find an RV spot. read more

Spent a weekend here kayaking the coats enjoying the beautiful scenery Timber Cove has to offer. Multiple options for camping on the Beach, Rv, tent, and a few locations for even throwing up the hammock and lounging. Highly recommend this place for a quick getaway. read more

Timber Cove Boat Landing is a family friendly camp ground for your children and dogs with a million dollar view! Brenda, the owner, is friendly and helpful with everything you need. Cellphone reception is intermittent but not a problem since they have WiFi. the Boat Launch has a small beach that's like your own private heaven. They have many decks with a view of their million dollar view. They have clean bathrooms with showers. There's a store close by with a gas station. We found many hiking trails to the beach and we found an amazing trail that was about 300 yards from the road that had a creek that lead to a pond which ended at a waterfall that empties into the ocean. That view was one of the most amazing views that I have seen in Norther California! We went fishing and caught our limit of Rock Cod and a few crabs at Timber Cove Landing. Five stars ***** all the way with this place! I highly recommend this place to everyone. read more

We stayed here because my boyfriend and I drove 3 hours to try to get a spot at Ocean Cove campground up the road, but it was full so this was our next best option. The owner Brenda was seemed a little impatient to the questions we asked upon checking in. We paid her for 2 nights, she came over and showed us where we could camp and put our things. A few hours later as we are sleeping, a man comes and shines a light in our tent saying we are in the spot they previously reserved. The family was very upset, and went to the main house to wake up Brenda. She was less than pleased, and scolded US saying we needed to move and we were in the wrong spot (after she had already seen where we had set up...). We had to moved our tent to sleep in the gavel parking spot next to our car, this place is a weak excuse for a campground. Over priced as well. read more
