I ordered the Pad See Yu with chicken! As well as a Thai milk tea and it was all delicious! Definitely recommend

Second time here. Nice Asian fusion / Thai / Chinese restaurant. I had the Thai Curry- that coconut milk is tasty! I had tofu and veggies in mine. The wife had beef and mushrooms and ginger dish. Hers was good- but I liked mine better! Very inexpensive- nothing fancy here- but the food is very good. We had dinner on the outdoor patio in the summer- which was a nice and pleasant space. I'll be back.

Really reasonable prices for what you get!! Cute spot in village gate. We ordered takeout and it was ready within 20 minutes. The order came with the wrong soup (it was still good but not what we wanted). The curry was VERY mild, and that's coming from someone that usually prefers mild. I was really wanting more heat and vegetables in the curry. It was all chicken with a few green peppers but that was it. Mango sticky rice was absolutely delicious!

Had a really nice lunch here, would definitely return. Ordered ahead for pick up, food was ready on time. Sat in there outside seating which was nice. Food was seasoned well, decent portion for a lunch special. The ingredients felt like good quality, overall quite delicious.

Ordered takeout from here during Covid... It was good and we used Uber eats which got it to the house while it was still warm. Tasty although not the best that we've had in Rochester.

We were working and had our dinner break. We came over to this foodie area. Wanted to eat across the hall but too busy so we opted for here. I didn't want to think so I just ordered Pad Thai and so did Bf. He thought it was great! I thought meh.. have had better. But it was hot and filling. He also has Tom Ka soup. It was tasty.

Stopped in to try some appetizers while our daughter did Sweet Poison Cupcake. Seafood soup (squid & shrimp in a Spicy broth) Chicken & Beef Satay. We munched on them in the car while she shopped. We liked it so much I went back inside and ordered dinners to go. The proprietor was very nice and we all enjoyed the food. The restaurant looked clean and contemporary. I look forward to repeat orders to go AND to be able to sit down dining some day when Covid is behind us.

I had an hour to kill and needed coffee. For some reason all the obvious coffee places in the building were closed. So I went into Shui. I had coffee and the sticky rice with mango which was really good.

This was a nice mom and pop Asian cuisine restaurant. It has a lot of the staple Thai choices on the menu. I started with Tum Yum soup with chicken and spring rolls. The soup was good, but I'd would have liked it a bit spicier but I'm sure that if I do go back that I can ask for more kick. I also got a side of sticky rice to dip in my soup, but unfortunately it was more soggy than sticky, so I don't finish most of it. The spring rolls were good, crispy and not greasy. For the main course I chose Pad thai noodles with chicken and they were really good. Not too sweet, a good amount of chicken and they actually put a lot of crushed peanuts on top and I absolutely love peanuts on my thai food. The service was prompt and kind, the tables, utensils and floors were very clean. I spent no more than $25 bucks for the whole meal which is a win in my book. If you're in the area you should check the place out.

I visited Shui a few weeks ago with a friend. Somehow, he heard about this new Asian fusion restaurant and we decided to check it out. One of our favorite restaurants in town is Chakara, a similarly Asian Fusion themed restaurant. We were hoping that Shui would be a good and closer alternative to the Fairport restaurant. Shui is awkwardly situated just inside the Inner Loop along Main Street. It's very easy to miss as the restaurant has no clear outer signage. It also looks like Shui's location was a former fast food restaurant, which was a little disheartening initially. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find a nicely renovated interior. We ordered the Beef Satay and Thai Spring Rolls to start. The beef was more on the well-done side and ended up being a little chewy. The accompanying peanut sauce was good with just the right amount of sweetness. The Spring Rolls were the highlight of the meal for me. Tightly rolled and perfectly deep fried, they were delicious! Not one bit greasy either. I also ordered the Green Papaya Salad which was a huge letdown. The papaya itself was okay, but the sugary dressing that came with it almost made the dish inedible. No amount of lime juice could cut the sweetness. Shui would be better off using 1/4 of the sugar or maybe even leaving it out altogether, It was also missing a depth of flavor that I could not pinpoint. Maybe a little more fish sauce or chili? For my main course, I ordered the Mee Gar-Thi and my buddy got the Chicken Pad Thai. My dish was advertised as spicy Coconut noodles served with mixed vegetables, shrimp and chicken. It came recommended by the waiter. Unfortunately, this dish was also a disappointment. It was more edible than the papaya salad, but still overbearingly sweet. I could not taste much coconut either, which also threw me off. The sweetness overpowered the taste of the individual elements, including the protein (shrimp and chicken) and also the vegetables (green & red peppers, onions, carrots and mushrooms). The noodles were cooked nicely though with good springiness in each bite. There was also a good amount of heat to the dish. The portions are good-sized and the prices are affordable. The service was pretty average considering we were pretty much the only ones there. Overall, Shui's dishes were too sweet for me. It was very one-note and there was no subtlety in flavor. I'm not sure if the chef that day was heavy-handed on the sugar or if it was just an off-day. It seems like their definition of fusion means adding sugar. Regrettably, I don't think I will be back.

Thai tea. Po pia (spring rolls). Chicken Thai dumplings. Pad Thai.

We always order the chicken pad thai, and it's consistently delicious--full of flavor, perfectly cooked, and exactly what we're craving every time. One thing we really appreciate is that they use fresh peppers to spice it up, which makes a huge difference and gives it that authentic, fresh heat we love. The service is just as great as the food. The young ladies who serve here are always friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which makes the experience even better. It's comforting to find a place that feels familiar and hits the mark on both food and service. Thai Bistro is a gem, and we're so glad to have it nearby. We'll definitely be regulars!

The staff were very friendly and the service was prompt for only having one server. We ordered the Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles. The taste profile was not the same as the other location. It seemed almost too sweet and not well balanced. It is too bad the recipe or preparation isn't the same across both locations. I rated it 3 stars because of the difference in the food items as well as the conditions in the restaurant itself. The restrooms were not clean and there were boxes stacked along the back of the restaurant and hallway leading back to the bathrooms of what appeared to be supplies for the kitchen and restaurant that should be stored out of sight. It was not what you'd like to see as a patron.

I honestly thought if I went behind the bar right now not one person who worked here would notice. We were on vacation and sat at the bar. There was a manager doing computer work at the bar too. She did everything but tell us to leave. For 15 minutes, no one came over to us. Manager sees us many times, doesnt say let me get someone. Not a smile. Not a, here's a glass of water while I find the bar tender. Then when we did get someone it was clear that if we had questions they would be avoided like the plague. I asked a few times about the mayo--hate it. Id prefer to taste the fish. I was assured there wasnt mayo. It came drenched in mayo. $16 dollar roll that we didnt touch. However, the sushimi and nigiri was really fresh and rhe rice was perfect. Mackerel is one of my favorites and it was briney, bright, and sweet at the same time--excellent! But id never ever go here again. You can read my other reviews. I only dog on places when it's truly bad. My spouse was also a long time server (some at Uchiko) so we tip too much and bend over backwards to give servers our best attitudes. This felt very much like a manager/owner issue. Shame.
