I came across this nail salon on a whim, last minute appointment the day before my vacation back in November 2024. It is very close to my office. It's under new ownership and there are some changes in progress. Tina is amazing, very talented and creative. After the first appointment I knew I would be back for Tina's services. I normally go here but my experience two days was extremely disappointing. These are what my brand new gel x nails look like two days after application??? The woman doing my nails had no idea what she was doing and it was very obvious. She burned my skin numerous times with the gel while curing and when I told her it hurt she told it's fine. Hello? I've had gel x done dozens of times and this was not even close to normal. She went back and forth with me about the color I chose for a good five minutes and wouldn't look for it until the owner found it. (It was a foot away from her the whole time) half of them are already popping off while the others are completely lifted. mind you this was $120 with a pedicure. This is actually insane. read more

One and Done -- Never Again If you're looking to get your nails done in a place that looks like the sea threw up, this might be the spot for you. From the moment I walked in, it was clear this wasn't going to be a relaxing experience. The nail technician who helped me looked completely overworked and couldn't communicate clearly, so I couldn't even explain what I wanted. I asked for pink roses--simple enough--and somehow ended up with purple. Yes, purple. When I pointed it out, they just said, "Next time we will make the roses pink." To top it off, the nails looked sloppy and rushed. When I expressed my disappointment, the owner told me to "come back next time" and they'd get it right. Let me be clear: there will be NO next time. I don't think I could have felt less welcome. All communication was initiated by me or my daughter. After waiting 10 minutes in foot soak my daughter asked very politely if they might be able to warm the water. Even after saying they would they simply never did. We felt pretty much invisible. To be fair as technicians their work product was good. So if you don't care about feeling welcomed or comfortable this is the place for you. read more

My sister and I bought a Groupon, we walked in to use voucher in person which we were wrong there because you need to make an appointment, but every appointment we tried making he had a new rule / rebuttal of why we can't and kept trying to get us to do it today for 25% off instead of using our Groupon. He said because he will only make $9 off us if we use our voucher. Who even says that!? Also there wasn't 1 customer in the whole place but there were 6 employees. They could have accommodated us. I would not recommend the Gel-X full set service here to anyone who likes their nail design long, appreciates carefully considered detail or simply prefers customer service that does not feel hostile. I went in for a Gel-X full set TWICE this weekend, BOTH TIMES it ended up being POORLY done. This is inexcusable for the prices they are charging for a full set especially for a new customer which by the way, may I advise you to CAREFULLY disclose what it guarantees how a 1st time customer will receive the '20% off before 1 PM', this a warning to everyone booking: even if you checked in way before 1, but your appointment takes longer (even though they do an extreme job of rushing your services) you'll be met with some unrelated excuse as to why they can't honor that, and provide you a gift card for not even a quarter of what their full sets are priced. I have to emphasize how rushed the services are, I am surprised my pedicure came out alright, however the quality of the Gel-X french tips I had asked for, dried bumpy, with a lot of glue underneath my nails, and no real consideration for how I wanted my nails shaped. Every time I would speak up and express what I wanted fixed it was met with a hostile attitude and half ass job. It felt like I was being rushed out of the hair by the end of my FIRST appointment. I was going to let it go, but the texture of my nails really bothered me after almost paying nearly $200 dollars for both pedicure and manicure that I got that day. I felt the need to go back the next day, very respectfully and expressed if I could please have the polish/Gel on my nails fixed as well as the shaping, when the hostile manager sent me to some second location known as Royal Nails & Spa on Mendocino Ave. where he didn't even bother to communicate with his staff before hand that I was being sent there by him, for whatever reason despite having the work done there at Sea Spa Nail Salon, I still with no real complaints made my way all the way over to Royal Nails & Spa and was turned away by 3 hostile staff, and was told to go back to Sea Spa Nail Salon since that is where I originally got my set done. Which made sense to me, but when I arrived back to Sea Spa Nail Salon the manager became more irritable, hostile and unprofessional telling me in a very disapproving tone I was to 'call him' before coming back because he has an expectation for the staff over at Royal Nails Salon, he demanded I let him know what staff turned me away and made me point them out on his security camera system on his phone and finally had me sit down in a chair to supposedly get a better job done but left with a worse job done than I had to begin with. I was sat down with the most hostile and passive aggressive woman ever who was filing down my nails and cuticle down to the flesh making me bleed really bad, misshaping my nails and an extremely poor done polish and french tip. To top it off, when I had left the appointment, I sat in my parked car, in disbelief with how messed up she had left my cuticles and nails, and carefully examined them. Before I could even turn my car on, the same lady who sloppily did my nail set swung her back door open with no care, hit my car with it and denied it and left inconsiderately. Getting my nails done is therapeutic and I thought I was truly going somewhere good when I came across this establishment online, but when I tell you I have never been met with such hostile and poor service in my life, I truly felt the need to make this review so anyone new or already going is warned about the service especially if you like, french tip, Gel X and attention to detail. read more

I visited your salon this evening and was very happy with how my nails turned out -- the nail technicians did a great job, and I tipped them $56 because I truly appreciated their work. However, I was extremely uncomfortable with how the manager spoke to me at the register. As I was deciding which card to use, he repeatedly asked me how I wanted to tip, which felt pushy and inappropriate. Sea Spa nail salon is the best salon experience I've ever had. Ashley does my dip powder nails and the detailing/art. She's absolutely masterful and so so so gentle. I cannot emphasize this enough. Both Ashley and Helen are so kind, gentle and amazing at what they do. After a year of going to another nail salon in town, my nails were hurting really badly from being filed down over and over. Ashley fixed my nails right up and now they're stronger and beautiful! One thing I also love about the salon is that they do not take more clients than they can handle. They don't over book and really take their time which I deeply appreciate. For this reason I highly suggest booking an appointment. I had a gel pedicure with Johnny on 7/23/24. He was very distracted even though I was the only one in the shop at 8 am. He was very unprofessional and kept referring to me as 'sweetheart' and it seemed like this was the first time he'd ever done a pedicure. 3 of my toes looked infected (see photo attached) and I needed to consult a doctor for advice. It cost $65 + tip and they said I would be reimbursed for the pedicure but they never did reimburse me. I would not recommend going there!! read more

I had thought I was having an amazing experience at this salon, all the ladies were so nice and accommodating! Unfortunately I didn't feel this way towards the man in office, his name was journey and he was being disrespectful to me and my friend, including him changing his interaction with us once I requested a female to work on my feet due to his lack of respect. This was our first and last trip to this salon! Journey had stopped me when I asked him a question and made me feel bad for asking questions when the prices were not posted or them having a menu available, he was being pushy to get me and my friend to get up and move around, I felt like he didn't take his clients seriously. As well as I thought it was unprofessional to make us pay before we had received a complete service, as well as especially with the understanding that he was not treating anyone else in this matter, and only acted this way when I mention a boundary of him not touching my feet.
