Went in for a pedicure. The place was clean and everyone was friendly. Nice selection of nail polish colors. But, I was super disappointed with the actual pedicure. After waiting 10-15 mins for a very basic pedicure (only took about 25-30 minutes). Most pedicures take 45 mins. to an hour. Minimal foot scrubbing, no leg massage, more like just a repolish and foot soak. I was super disappointed. When I got home I had to put lotion on my feet because they were really dry. I'm bummed to say that I was disappointed when I came in for my wedding nails. I've come here for gel pedicure before and they are great! But I got Gel X nails for my wedding and they came out awful and the gal kept getting annoyed when I would ask for them to be shorter. I left feeling really bummed about my nails and have been debating writing a review and have brought myself to do so. The flower work was... awful.... My cuticles were left awful... and the gel did not transition smoothly. There were also huge bubbles under both my thumbs when I got them redone elsewhere. If you are going to get Gel X nails done, only request Tina as she is the most skilled. read more

I walked in, they accepted my request for a gel pedicure. Waiting about 10-15 min until Diane was able to help me. She did really good work. A lot of attention to detail. We had moments of conversation as I don't like to be in my phone the entire time and it was nice to chat a bit. Diane wasn't judgmental as I cringe a little from having ticklish feet when they scrub. I also have a flare of plantar fasciitis and the foot massage was quite lovely. The salon was clean, new tools were utilized, Diane wore gloves the entire time. I'm looking working to coming back. I was in the area and decided to try Aqua and get a refill for my current gel builder set. They took me in right away which was awesome. However, the end result was sloppy and 8 out of my 10 nails were not filed evenly. I pointed it out to the nail tech and she offered to fix them, unfortunately I had already been there for over an hour and didn't have anymore time to waste on a service that usually only takes 45 mins. That being said I will stick to my nail place and will not be back to Aqua. read more

They gave me the best early birthday nails! But they also helped me manage my POTS episode and the end of my visit. I could barely sense it coming. They helped me lower my heart rate, reduce my temperature, keep me hydrated, and gave me something to eat to distract my body the pain it feels from a POTS episode. I can't thank them enough for their fast acting because I would be in the hospital battling another episode. They are so friendly and helpful a thank you isn't enough. Thank you so much! I last minute decided I wanted to get a mani pedi on a Sunday morning. Called a few places in Bennett Valley and they were all booked up for hours. I called Aqua Nail Spa and they had availabilities right away. The person who did my nails and everyone else working stayed in gloves and masks the entire time and had everyone hand sanitize before coming in. It all felt very clean and Covid safe. The pedicure was fine, 9/10, they needed to fix one toenail because the gel had not cured completely and looked bad. But, they did fix it. Here comes the really bad part, I came in with healthy long finger nails and left with a lot of damage!!! The older woman working on my hands was rough and careless! She filed my nails so thin and then had the audacity to say my nails were already thin!! I ignored the snide comment. Not only was the filing traumatic, she was so careless with the gel polish it got all over my fingers and hands! My nails look messy and are very brittle now. This is a good place for a very pedestrian mani pedi. But this week we went in w our adult daughter. She was getting a gel pedi and the attendant clearly did not have much experience and put a lumpy 1/4" coating of gel on her toe that had to be removed by a more experienced attendant manager.She was also incapable of coloring within the lines. For a pedi, they will rub your legs with cream but don't massage the feet it all. Nor do they work on calluses. They need to Make sure everyone of their attendants are thoroughly training before putting them on customers handsome feet. This place is close to my house and I'm sad that they are not better at what they do. read more

If I could do zero stars I would. Poor quality nails, two nails broke a day after getting my set done here along with the paint chipped. Came back next day to then be charged to have them fixed and the fix was an extremely poor job... nails look completely different than the rest of the set. Customer service is just as bad. I found my new nail spa! I just had my first pedicure here. They were amazing. Very detail oriented. She didn't just throw on the polish and call it good. She made sure that it was evenly applied. She also took her time massaging my legs and feet. The best part in my opinion. They also adhered to the covid safety guidelines. Hand sanitizer at the door, mask required, they were wearing masks over nose and mouth, temperature taken, plastic shields at stations, and name records. I'm very cautious and refuse to support businesses that aren't. I definitely felt safe here. read more

So, I am new to getting my nails done in a salon and when I called Aqua nails to ask about an appointment the woman I spoke with was pretty rude even though I expressed to her that this is all new to me and I don't know very much. I had the first acrylic set done and the paint job wasn't very good but because they're right across the street from where I live I went to get another set. She ripped off every old acrylic nail and it was painful at times and basically took off the top layer of my nail. Well, one broke the very next day so I went in to have it fixed. She treated me horribly and knew I didn't want a hump in my nail when she did them the first time and left me with a huge bump after fixing one nail! The very next day, another nail broke. I asked them when I could come in to have both fixed and they said they had no available times even though the salon hardly has anyone in it. It's almost as if they just don't respect me as a paying customer. Maybe it's my eccentric appearance or the fact that I had my gas station uniform on...who knows. Well, I won't be going back there which is unfortunate because it is so much more convenient for me but I don't appreciate being treated the way they have treated me. read more

This is a peaceful oasis in the often noisy and uncomfortable world of strip-mall nail salons. Props to the owner for the soft music, cool colors and elegant decor. Tina is the star of the show - always friendly and accomodating with walk-in clients. Very hit or miss service here. Sometimes they do alright, but on the opposite end of the spectrum I've had a pedicure service in which they burned my skin not only once, but TWICE (first with lotion and then with the overly hot towels)...I am a massage therapist and was trained to ALWAYS check the temperature of things before placing them directly on the client in order to avoid exactly this. Their open sign and posted hours are not indicative of if they are actually open and they may refuse to serve you just because they want to leave early for the day. Frequently the open sign doesn't get turned around and the window lighting makes it difficult to read the posted hours. read more
