I was a customer for years, but I'll never go again. Here's why: When the new owner took over last fall, the salon declined rapidly. He bought out the prior owner (Ashley), ran out the other pedicurist (Helen), and brought in all new people. I was appalled listening to the new owner speak to his employees in such an aggressive manner, but was even more offended when I witnessed him speak rudely to customers, too. After I'd experienced the new owner three times, I couldn't take it anymore, and I stopped going to Sea Spa. This is where it gets bad. I wrote a one-star review on another platform [starts with G] with my honest review of the salon under its new ownership. The owner *called me repeatedly at 4:30am the next day* and immediately began aggressively texting me with multiple threatening messages. He later fabricated several fake reviews on the same platform. My review on the other platform is still live (and my account remains in good standing), despite his efforts to have me warned or punished (which he will undoubtedly do again here). There are a lot of talented nail techs in Santa Rosa, and you might be able to find one you like at Sea Spa, but I don't recommend you give this rude owner your money. If he treated me this way, I can only imagine how horribly he treats his employees. Update: the owner has edited his reply, which was originally rude and condescending. I recently started coming to this nail spa, but unfortunately, my experience has been disappointing, and I won't be returning. During my first visit, I got gel acrylics, and one of the nails on my pointer finger was applied crookedly. As it grew out, the misalignment became even more noticeable--my finger isn't crooked, so it was clear the nail was placed incorrectly. I decided to give them a second chance and returned to have it fixed, as it was also starting to lift. While the technician did adjust the nail to make it look straighter, the overall quality of the service was still lacking. The polish was applied unevenly, leaving noticeable bumps and gaps with missing paint. Additionally, the underside of my nail wasn't properly corrected, and I even watched the technician apply children's superglue to the bottom, which did absolutely nothing to improve the stability of the nail on top of my actual nail and only made it look worse. Also, this second time I got them done, the technician nicked my cuticle--it hurt, bled, and I never received an apology. Both times I visited, I felt that the work was rushed, which was confusing because the photos and reviews I had seen beforehand made the nails look beautiful. I can't help but feel that those who pay more money get better service, but at the end of the day, even a standard $50 manicure should be worth the price. No matter what you're paying, the quality should reflect the cost, and unfortunately, that wasn't the case here. After seeing previous low-star reviews and the responses--which I'm assuming are from the owner--I'd also recommend learning how to take constructive criticism and applying it to improve your practice for future appointments, rather than mistreating clientele who are simply sharing their honest experiences. I did not change shape. A $5 difference in price isn't much, it is the principle. You say 45-50 although there is no 45 acrylic fill with gel polish- which is exactly what I asked on phone- 45 was quoted by a man. In the salon I was told there is no $45 fill yet you confirm there is. So there seems to be confusion as to what can be quoted on phone to bring clients in and what is charged. How often does this actually happen? Unfortunately I will tell friends and family not to visit your business. read more

Not a fancy nail salon, but Bee did a fabulous French tip, Gel manicure. It lasted a long time other than my own nail growth. The tip was a little thicker than I expected but in the long run it worked. I like the light blue tips, clear coat, but they do everything you request and they make suggestions too. Bee got the job done and my nails were good to go within 30 minutes and super durable. They are open all hours of the day and weekends too. I'd call to make an appointment. They have discount cards for repeat visits/services and cash discounts. read more

I don't post a lot of reviews, but I'm upset enough so that says a lot. I asked for builder gel and got a tip extension until they grew out. I also asked for short almond and as you can see in the picture, maybe one of the nails is what I asked. I had to ask multiple times for filing as there was so many jagged edges and it got to a point where they are so short, I couldn't keep saying something. The edges are flat in areas, long on some sides and sharp.. I couldn't believe he was done filing when I had to say something. He was also extremely sloppy, filing after polish, painting over dust, lump areas, glue stuck to my fingers, paint missing in areas. I'm so upset with what I got that I cannot even think straight. $60 for this. The place was filthy and I should have walked out immediately. They don't trim cuticles, they don't bother with oil either. I've been getting my nails done for over 20 years and this is hands down, the worst experience I have ever had. I had to go home to file my own nails and the more I look at them, the more upset I get. I can't fix this and cannot afford to go to another spot to get them re done. She did not like how they massage her legs. I didn't either. They stared at her uncomfortably also talking about us in their language (all men). So my friend bought a Groupon for 2 people to treat me for my birthday (man/pedi) Unbeknownst to me, I bought a single mani/pedi Groupon for myself. So we go together and she was hassled by reception about using her Groupon. Not wanting to take two people. They finally did (we had appt booked for over 2 weeks). Service was excellent and I loved Trey who did my manicure. Fast forward to today. I called to book 3 of us for next week. Myself with my Groupon, a different friend with her Groupon and my 3rd friend who would pay regular. So no problem booking, but once I said we had 2 individual Groupons. Suddenly it was no, he needed to check with boss. Within a few minutes he called back, no longer honoring Groupons. Just get refund and have a nice day! Wow! Very rude and poor customer service. And I really liked the mani pedi but will get refund and not return! We tipped very generously the first time since we did get a discount from Groupon and figured give it to the staff. The boss was called in, immediately upon his arrival he was extremely hostile towards me, threatened to have me arrested. He explained he hates Groupon yet he was offering his services there when I bought it. His English was good so he could have explained what I missed in the small print instead he chose to become extremely aggressive. I won't do business with this merchant and you should not either. I never thought I would have such a negative follow-up experience at Sea Spa, but I will not be going back there anymore. The previous time I went to get my nails done, after telling the owner I was happy with my nails, I was told to come back next time for a promo on my upcoming full set. I was also messaged another promo code to celebrate the hiring of the new nail technicians. During this visit, the woman who did my nails went to the back room and came back to tell me a price that's somehow even higher than what's listed on the website. After asking her to check in with the owner, she stated that he had "left", which was quite convenient. Also, the open-ended promo was apparently only available for 3 days. While the employees do a good job with the services, the management and professionalism is lacking. Had they been upfront with me about the prices or kept their word, I would have no issue. However this left a very sour taste in my mouth, and as I look through the recent reviews, I am realizing that I am not the only person who was shocked by some of the things said. I am already expecting harassment as a response to my honest opinion, however, I can not endorse a business that swindles their customers out of both reviews and money. It's under new ownership and there are some changes in progress. Tina is amazing, very talented and creative. After the first appointment I knew I would be back for Tina's services. Now the exterior is kind of hard to see, very easy to pass if you're not paying attention. The interior is a small cozy salon with a nautical theme. I have been to Sea Spa a few times, the first couple times no complaints, great service and nails, but this last time not as good. The lady who did my nail cut them way too short and my toe bed is exposed/ sensitive because it's so short I can feel it in my shoes. My fingers just look bad. She couldn't find either color I picked and picked similar colors. my nails naturally grow very long and strong and she was telling me they were too long and that long they get thin and break but my nails were fine. I agreed to make them shorter but she took the whole nail. My toe bled when she cut it. it seemed like they were in a rush because it was the end of the day. I think i'll look for another salon, the other workers were great but I don't want to have the same worker again. read more

I didn't know what to expect but the staff was very kind and the woman who did my nails (didn't get her name) didn't seem to be rushing at all and was very detail oriented.
