Seafood Heaven! OMG the best location. On a recent vacation in Weekapaug I came here 4 times for lobster, tuna, swordfish, clams, etc. They had amazing looking snapper, sea bass, salmon, shrimp but my belly only hold so much haha The can get out of stock randomly....for example one day they were out of 2-3 lb lobsters but had 3-4 pounders, the next trip the opposite was true. Both times, they had the big boys, 6+ pounds.....seems to be a trend this summer to get those. So advice - call ahead or go around 10-11AM as that is when they are more likely to be fully stocked. But they have enough variety that you can be flexible, they didn't have 2 pounders so I got a 1.8 pounder and filled the gap with fresh clams! read more

Stopped into Sea Well from the beach. I couldn't pass up the $5 a pound price on lobsters. While there I picked up a couple of local favorites. The lobster bisque- excellent, full of lump lobster meat with a great stock. Easily serves two as an appetizer. Got a couple stuffed clams and crab cakes, all were superb. The star of the show of course was the lobster, perfect size, as fresh as can be and utterly delish. Best dinner I have had in a long time for an unbelievable price. read more

Sea Well Seafood has another location in Mystic that I we usually go to and we are very happy with the quality of fresh seafood which is why we go there for all our seafood needs; lobster, shrimp, oysters, clams, salmon, swordfish and the like. While in the area, I stopped by the Pawcatuck location to pick up shrimp for a scampi dinner and my daughter and I decided to try the warm lobster roll. We took it home and it was still warm! The lobster was heaping and the butter was perfect. One can not get a fresher lobster roll than at Sea Well! The price was $18.99 and it came with a bag of chips. Next time I hope to peek in the fridge where there are some seafood inspired ready to eat items. There is also a soup station with chowders and bisques. So if you are craving some seafood this is the place to go. Staff was friendly, smiling and greeted us. We shared some friendly, natural banter which is indicative of a small town mom and pop shop. read more

Not the first time, but surely the last time, my Christmas fish order was deliberately overloaded, so my requested two salmon filets for ten people turned out to be $177 and easily enough for twice as many. My preorder was not ready when I arrived so after waiting for fifteen minutes, a fishy, wet bag was plopped on the counter. I asked the young lady to repeat my order, just to be sure, and she said "A bunch of fish". I asked her "was it the two salmon filets for ten people" and she thought and said "Yes", not checking my order. With a long line behind me, I foolishly accepted it and left, feeling quite disrespected and knowing that this Person didn't give a darn about my meal needs nor my financial needs. Do not get the "hot lobster roll" it is cold lobster meat and they put hot butter in it! I called because we drove to the beach to eat and it was cold! Young girl on the phone said that is how they serve it they have no way to heat up lobster meat! I said you should tell people that the term hot buttered lobster roll implies hot lobster meat! She did not want to know about it ! Too bad the seafood is amazing but I will think twice before going back after spending 39.00 on lobster rolls that were cold and had hot butter on them! For many years, we have been going the Sea Well on Mason's Island. The quality of product and customer service has always been great. Unfortunately, they are temporarily closed. We needed lobsters for New Year's Eve so we called Sea Well in Pawcatuck. What a disaster!! We called at 3:02 to order the steamed lobsters to be picked up about 4:30. I arrived shortly before that time, gave my name to the manager, and was handed an order which I paid for. When I got home we realized that it was the wrong order - about 5 lbs of lobster instead of the 4 we had ordered. So, we paid for a pound of lobster we didn't want nor need. She could have easily avoided this mistake by simply asking me to confirm my phone number. It would have been obvious that she was giving me the wrong order. I called the market and AFTER A WHILE was conveniently told by the manager that we had never placed an order. This is despite the fact there was a record of our call to Sea Well on our phone at 3:02 and the number was CORRECT! She claimed she had not received an order from us. She seemed more concerned about defending herself than concerned about us as customers. She said she had worked there for 10 years and doesn't make that kind of mistake. Yet, she didn't process the order we had given her on the phone AND she had sold us an order intended for someone else! If those weren't mistakes, am I supposed to assume she did it deliberately?!? This was absolutely terrible customer service! If we need seafood items before the market in Mason's Island re-opens we will go elsewhere. We will not be returning to the Pawcatuck market - ever - at least as long as the current manager is still working there! read more

Stumbled on this cute little seafood market. Got the Day Boat Scallops for $14.99/lb. Grilled them with lemon pepper and citrus sea salt. Amazing! So fresh! All the fish looked great, had to drive back home to Greenwich, otherwise I would have stocked up! Next time I'll be sure to bring my cooler with ice!! read more

The attitude you will get if you take any of their precious ice is over the top. I just purchased 7 dozen clams and 5 lobsters and added a little ice to the top of bag (less than a handful). No smile, no thank you, just a major league attitude. I'm glad business is so good they can afford to lose customers. A quick google/yelp search landed us here in our quest for some fresh/local scallops and we were not done wrong! Amazingly friendly staff who helped my wife pick out exactly what she wanted. The scallops, only picked up 4 to try, were very large and tasted incredible (only $16.99/lb). The lady that helped my wife also answered some questions for her about the extensive live lobster selection. I have never seen lobsters that large before, the claw was bigger than my 3 year old (almost kidding)! They also had a selection of 2-3 pounders at a reasonable price. I will definitely make the drive to this location for our first clam bake. read more

Living in NJ. I never had a Lobster Roll and I remember seeing this establishment in July and was unable to stop by so I was determined to go there this November to try one. And I'm glad I did. The Lobster was so fresh and the leek and just a small amount of hot butter were a perfect blend. I added black pepper and lemon juice to taste and I was in heaven. If I want to buy cherry stones to eat raw this is the only place I'll go to other than raking them myself. Excellent quahogs, mussels and steamers all self serve on ice. The fish is always looking fresh and smelling sweet. They know what they are doing and try their hardest. Excellent product. They have branched out to some prepared food. I'm a nut about good sea food. I don't just go in to buy fish, I grill the purveyors. I have been to every store in the area, and this is my favorite. They are honest, and they really know their product. They convinced me to try John Dory, a fish that has now become an obsession for me. I called other shops and basically got "What's John Dory" as a response. They also have some odd stuff like alligator meat which I tried and really liked. They have a great working relationship with local fishermen and they state they origin of the fish right in the case. read more
