This review is for the place in Pawcatuck not the one in North Stonington which I believe is closed. The Pawcatuck location is wonderful. Daily specials and great food at a reasonable price. A little difficult parking as it is behind the restaurant but off the street. Cooked to order so there is a small wait but plenty of coffee or tea while you wait. Cash only, but there is an ATM right in the restaurant. I'm definitely going back. Don't miss it. read more

Great place with an even greater woman running it her hard work and determination make everything about this place worth it don't let the elm tree deter you away this is a hidden gem with excellent food let's support our small businesses in town. the owner built this business from scratch in honor of her beloved late brother I would love to see her get all the support she deserves. It's a one-man show so expect a little bit of a wait more than average I wouldnt go if you're expecting extremely fast service on a busy day.because like I said there's only one cook but if your patient it is worth your while like no other place trust me on this one! Following the advice of my fellow Yelpers, we stopped by Little Man's Diner on the way home from Foxwoods. And I'm so glad we did! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The dining areas and bathrooms were clean. And the food! I had the Mexican burrito with sausage and cheddar cheese. It was grilled to perfection and its steaming contents were a delectable balance of sweet and savory flavors that popped in my mouth. The burrito was crammed full of delicious sausage, perfectly scrambled eggs (not too wet or too dry) and tasty cheddar cheese. It hit the spot! And I kid you not, my companion's corned beef hash four egg omelette looked like something straight out of Gourmet Magazine. He is a foodie so he is not easy to please - and he was delighted. These folks sure know how to cook! The coffee was delicious and hot and the waitress was efficient, effective and very friendly. And the prices were more than reasonable, which was so refreshing in today's economy. We are definitely storing this place in our GPS so we will remember to come back on another trip south. Took my parents out to breakfast. We all ordered omelets. They were HUGE! And delicious. All the ingredients tasted fresh and were cooked perfectly. Our waitress was patient and nice. She kept our coffee mugs full and was very attentive. This is a great place to take picky eaters. There is something on the menu for everyone. The thing I like about this menu is that it is extensive but not overwhelming with choice. Some diners have menus as thick as a small encyclopedias! They also have RI Guys Donuts available at this location. RI Guys Donuts are the best!!! Love it here! I will definitely be back. read more

Went for the first time here in Pawcatuck. I was a little tentative going here as it's behind the Elm Tree and the space used to be a bar. I walked in and was one of only 4 people there. The negatives - a gentleman was in there talking politics the whole time. I didn't necessarily disagree with him but I didn't want to engage in it and be left alone. Luckily, he had a couple of other people to talk to while he didn't touch his food. Secondly, an order of 2 eggs, bacon, toast and home fries should not take more than 10 minutes especially when I had the only order in the kitchen. The place was empty and I wasn't sure why there wasnt a sense of urgency. The good - the food was fine for breakfast fare just a LOT of it. I believe they are trying to make it work but the clientele may close this place. It's unfortunate. read more

Just left Foxwoods...feeling a little depressed because my pockets were empty and stopped in this diner. MIND BLOWN! Everything was absolutely perfect. The home fries with onions were dynamite. The omelettes were gorgeous.. perfectly cooked...not a burn mark to be found. The veggies inside were sauteed to perfection. The waitress was an absolute doll AND an amazing baker. We brought home a homemade cinnamon roll and this cookie sandwich that our granddaughter (and my hubby) went crazy for. This is a great place to stop early in the morning (it opens at 6 am) heading back from Foxwoods for breakfast. It serves real food and the service was great. Although it looked like mainly counter service, after we ordered, we sat down and the very friendly guy behind the counter came out with a fresh pot of coffee and cream to drink while we waited for our food. I had a breakfast sandwich with two eggs, ham and cheese on a bagel and it was just great. The slice of ham was nice and thick and the cheese was perfectly melted. read more

What a terrific little diner! Bright and cheerful and a great value. The waitresses were overloaded with work but still managed to be efficient and welcoming. We had basic eggs and omelets and were very satisfied with breakfast. And the coffee is quite good! Jakes restaurant next door had a full hour wait so we walked over here and sat right away. I have had breakfast sandwiches from here a few times... Its not Mcdonalds, but made to order, it takes a few minutes, but well worth it. Nice thick slices of what appeared to be hand cut ham. I have been struck also by the apparent overall cleanliness of the dining area. Hopefully Little Mans can develop a larger following, and stick around a while.
