The area around here was very empty and quiet. The views are nice. My mom enjoyed her salmon salad. Everything else was simple and good.

The staff coming in here was very welcoming and helpful and pointing out where to park. I made a difference interior is very long and narrow, but everybody gets a seat by the window, looking at all the boats in the marina. What a beautiful view. The area around here is under a lot of construction and so there's a lot of streets that are blocked off and it makes it sort of difficult to weave your way around here and figure out where everything is. But once you get down here, you know that it's famous for this area for a long time for being a place where people enjoy food and like to hang out and listen to good music. Walking by the tables, I looked down and everybody was really enjoying their foods and the platters are just loaded with it. Everything looked delicious. It'd be interesting if they have a combo platter. I also like that they do this crispy, giant prawns, man they look good. I'm chopping at the bit to get myself a first bite. Our server Austin was amazing so helpful and so patient while we were trying to figure out what to order. Everybody that works here actually was awesome. I started with a bowl of chowder. It's just like I make it at home and it was flawless. I loved it. I'd come here and have a big bowl of it with crusty bread for sure. That was followed by me having some of the best crispy shrimp that comes along with a side of garlic, french fries and you have your choices several types of fries. Unbeknownst to me until someone told me is by get one beer get one free so I enjoy the double beer. And my wife had the lobster Sando with the Home potato chips. Again another hit hit hit hit. Everything that came out of here you have to go to like five different places to find it and let you know the same thing in one location. I will definitely come back. I love this place.

Was gifted a gift card here - we decided to try this spot out on a warm Saturday afternoon. Located right near the water in Jack London Square. Parking is a bit difficult but we managed to find street parking a block away. Wasn't too crowded and there was plenty of seating inside. You order first and you find a table to sit, and they bring out the food to you. Self serve water is available. The food came out pretty quick! Thoughts: - Lobster roll (classic) was delicious! Generous amount of lobster. Would definitely get this again. Chips weren't too great though. - Fried shrimp basket was nice. Shrimp was crispy and tasty. Fries were also very crispy and flavorful. The sauces go well with the shrimp/fries. Coleslaw isn't the best though. - The crab nachos were surprisingly good. A nice cheese sauce combo with pico/avocado crema and a good amount of crab. - Garlic noodles were fine, nothing standout about them. - Mix and match basket with catfish, cod, and calamari (not pictured): Catfish was solid (would highly recommend, one of the favorites of the meal!), but would pass on the cod and calamari - a bit dry/fishy. Would recommend for a casual spot for seafood and a nice view!

Just wanted to add I still come here. It's still delicious. It is a really nice place to sit near the water. The mango margarita is great it's pricey, but it's delicious unique food.

It's been years since I have been to Jack London but we headed here on t is perfect Fall day and decided to stop at Seabreeze for lunch - it was a good choice! Food was fantastic- one of the best ceviche's I have ever had, fresh and flavorful! We also had the grilled oysters which are on par with Hog Island's who are the standard for me and delicious lobster nachos! Great service, great views, great food!! Loved it!

Fish and chips one of worst I've had, burnt, dry, on par with frozen, but sadly maybe even worse. On the other hand Lobster roll was great, lots of meat, tasty, cold, sweet.

Was randomly scrolling on yelp and saw this place. I don't remember it ever existing tbh. I usually go to the city or Marin area for lobster rolls and garlic noodles so I'm glad there's on nearby now! I just did take out and wanted to try the garlic noodles before committing myself to a lobster roll. There's street parking across the railroads or you can park in the loading zone for 10 minutes. There's a few chairs outside and lots of indoor seating. The view is pretty nice and overlooks the water. To order, it just checkout and goes pretty fast. I went on a slower day so I'm not sure how packed this place is on the weekend. They made my garlic noodles pretty fast and I went home to try it. Kinda just wish I ordered a lobster roll and enjoyed it there but meh. The noodles were soooooo goood! It was a pretty good portion for one and the price point is within reason. There's a few garlic noodles around the area that's too greasy or just filled with junk. Will definitely come back to sit down and enjoy the birds next time.

Seabreeze on the Dock is a waterfront dog-friendly gem for lunch or dinner. They have a pretty extensive menu with everything seafood: crab rolls, lobster rolls, seafood tacos, lobster nachos, Po Boys, Garlic Noodles, fried seafood baskets, seafood boils, soups, salads, burgers and desserts, along with a few non-seafood options like chicken and burgers. They also serve beer, wine and frozen margaritas. The menu is kid friendly with $10 options like chicken tenders, a burger, or cod and fries. During our visit we had lobster rolls with waffle fries ($33.95) and fish tacos ($16.95). The portions are large and reasonable for the quality. Tacos had large pieces of fresh fish topped with flavorful guacamole and salsa. The lobster rolls were large, with a large portion of lobster inside and no fillers. The rolls were soft and just the right size for the lobster inside. The waffle fries that accompanied it were also delicious. There is a decent amount of outdoor seating (about 8 tables of varying size), most of them shaded, and they have an outdoor heat lamp. There was plenty of room for my dog to stretch out, and although the food was upscale the place was casual. Service was friendly and we didn't have to wait very long for our food. The accompanying green space along Jack London is a great place to go for a walk or relax afterward, and if you want to take your food to go, they often offer a discount for ordering online.

Had not been to this restaurant for some time, wine that was served did not seem right. Although I questioned it was confirmed that's the amount served. Not impressed with the food either.

This place has been bookmarked for some time now. There was a short wait you order then you can have a seat. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I love the large windows and being able to look out. I wanted to sit by the window but the tables werent clean. I ordered a coconut water probably the best one ive ever had. They have some good drink options. I started with the lobster bisque which was really good. To eat I tried the hawaiian shrimp with garlic noodles it was pretty good. I also had the crab with the mixture sauce their sauce is really good. I would definitely be back to try more.

A huge punch of garlic, which I really enjoy, so wings were 4.9/5. The vegetarian sandwich I ordered was so delicious, the pesto and garlic aioli really added flavor and the fresh warm bread really set it apart 4.8/9, only because the jalapeño was more spicy than pickled. I'm forever grateful for that recommendation because they make some of the best sandwiches I've ever had. I've tried a few items on the menu, but the one I always recommend is the Hot Italian. Everything about this sandwich is incredible. It's packed with flavor, and you can honestly tell it was made with care. I usually pair it with a bag of chips, and the total comes to around $18. It's absolutely worth every penny and always leaves me full and satisfied. The shop is consistently clean, and the customer service is always friendly and welcoming. I find myself going back over and over again, then telling myself I need to take a break--only to end up back there a few weeks later. That's how good it is. A couple of things to keep in mind before you visit: there's only limited street parking, so you may have to circle the block to find a spot. There's also not much room to wait inside, although they do have a bench or two where you can sit while your sandwich is being prepared. In my experience, the wait is usually around 15 minutes. I've honestly never been here when it wasn't busy, so expect a crowd. But once you take that first bite, you'll understand why. Great food, great atmosphere, and great customer service. The sandwiches are hefty, with lots of great meats and fillings, and for the price, very decent! I wish my bread were a bit more toasted and crunchier, but that's my preference. I went there today for the first time in a couple of years, ordered a regular size basic ruben sandwich (no add-ons) and was ok paying nearly $18 dollars for just the sandwich until they handed it to me. what I got was a small 6" sub. When did their subs shrink?? in this economy we are all struggling. I get it, things cost more but Craves' owner is not doing his patrons a service by charging them premiums while cutting back on the meals. If you're ok paying that much for a shrunken sub, more power to you. I l, however, will not be going back there.

It's a cute delicatessen/restaurant. You order at the counter and they bring your food to you. Immediately the staff was so friendly and welcoming. The woman at the register was very nice and asked if we had any questions. My mom and I shared a pastrami sandwich, Brussels sprouts, fries, and slaw. It was reasonably priced for the Bay Area. When they brought the food to the table I was shocked. Everything looked amazing and very appetizing, and the portions were much bigger than expected. Before she brought the sandwich over, she asked if we were sharing it and was so nice to split it into 2 plates for us. That was very kind for her to do. Let's start with the French fries. Omg they were perfectly crisp but still fluffy on the inside. They had so much flavor probably because of the beef tallow and had just the right amount of salt on them. There was a side of mayonnaise with the fries, and it tasted homemade. I meant to ask them if it was. It was very good lol I couldn't get enough. The poppyseed slaw was very refreshing and it was tangy and sweet. We loved that the cabbage remained crispy and it was great for a warm day. The fried Brussels sprouts were full of flavor. They were a nice balance of sweet and salty. I loved the bacon on them. The hot pastrami sandwich definitely satisfied my pastrami craving! There was just the right ratio of meat-cheese-sauerkraut-mustard-dressing. The bread tasted freshly baked as well. It was full of flavor. And the side salad that came with the sandwich was excellent. We loved the tanginess of the dressing. We were shocked that there wasn't more people inside, but also for 2pm on a Monday, it probably was just an off hour. We had so many leftovers as we both don't eat very much, but lol as soon as I got home I started eating some more of the slaw and salad. Can't wait to eat the rest for lunch tomorrow. We are already planning on coming back to try the meatballs next time and definitely trying their Indian cuisine! I'll have to bring my husband here next. Thank you guys for an amazing lunch!

(I'm sure it's still good, it's just *better* if you can eat it when it's fresh.) I swear one of these days I'll try something else on the menu.

Awhile back, I tried to bring as much business to Star Meat as I could because 1. it's a small business and 2. it's inside Star Grocery (which I LOVE, so it's convenient). When I would go there, there would often be 2 or 3 people behind the counter and oftentimes I would be the only customer. I felt like I had to stand there forever before anyone even acknowledged I existed. Each person would be busy doing something, but there was no "I'll be with you in 2 minutes." Finally, I went one day and there were 3 workers behind the counter chatting with each other. I was the only customer and was standing around 6 feet away from them, looking right at them. They went on with there conversation (not doing any other work) for a full 5 minutes. Finally I thought, "OK, they really don't seem to want my business, so I can go to any one of 4 other places and get what I want." That was a year or two ago. So, today I thought, why not give it another try, it's certainly convenient. Again, I'm the only customer at the counter. One guy is washing equipment and two guys are making sandwiches. I know that they know that I'm there, there are mirrors all along the back wall exactly for the purpose of seeing the customers. After around 4 minutes I think, who knows how long I'm going to be standing here. Maybe they have to make 20 sandwiches and I'll be here for a half hour. So, I left. I don't have anything like this experience at the 4 other meat counters I go to in the area. I'm totally fine waiting if I have some sense that I'm waiting for a purpose and that the worker will get to me as soon as they can. But at Star Meat, it feels like I'm more of an inconvenience than a customer. "Hi, I'll be with you as soon as I can," goes a long way.

There are many things on the menu, but what stands out for me is the Pastrami. I've been a couple times in the past a couple months and have tried their OG Sandwich (Pyro's Pastrami, vinaigrette coleslaw, swiss , 1000 island, mustard on rye) and their Pastrami Hash Breakfast Burrito (Pastrami bacon, eggs, potatoes, mozzarella, pico, Baja sauce). Both were good, and not greasier than you'd expect, the Pastrami was lean but not too lean. Good place to get a hot pastrami sandwich or burrito.

A 7-year old video happened to pop up on my YouTube feed about Oakland's best kept secret Pastrami, and Pyro's Pastrami came up on my radar. We were so happy to see that they have set up shop so close to us! Before heading in, know that there will be just a bit of a wait because every sandwich is made fresh to order. But trust me, it's 100% with it. I ordered the OG sandwich and I was impressed by how the flavors were so balanced out between the toasted, buttered rye, the slaw, the dressing, the cheese, and of course, the meat. I sometimes find rye too overpowering but it was perfect! On first bite, I immediately found what the fuss was about: the pastrami was so flavorful and melt-in-your-mouth tender, you can tell it was made with a lot of love and attention to detail. To top it all off, it's a proud, local business! Krispy Joe's and Pyro's Pastrami will now be a staple for my husband and I. Seriously, if you like/love pastrami, you have to give them a try. If you don't, give them a try, anyway... this is the one that could get you converted. Chef Cash: you've done it. A+++++++

We ordered via DoorDash, and I wouldn't call our experience "heroic."…read more The pinsa was very good. We got the Calabrian shrimp. We found it very tasty, but paying over $25 for this on DoorDash--certainly not worth the price even though we really enjoyed it. The spicy chicken parm sandwiches were not good. The chicken breast was flabby, and came across like it was one of those frozen cooked Tyson jobs. I would be very surprised if they actually breaded chicken breast, fried it, and made the sandwich with that. It was mushy, and the breading was like paste on the chicken. Pretty awful. They charge extra for sauce, which is a little much, given that we paid $21 for each sandwich. But we figured out pretty quickly why they do this: there was hardly any sauce on the sandwiches. And precious little cheese. We each ate half of our sandwich and figured we doctor the leftovers up the next day with a jar of Rao's and a bag of shredded Italian cheese. That helped, but nothing could save that chicken. The meatballs. We paid $15 for four, and we had high hopes, but they were so mushy that they fell apart in the sauce, and I couldn't tell what was sauce and what was meatballs. The only flavor that came across was fennel. Why any meatball should be so fennel-forward strikes me as bizarre. We got what we thought were pretty basic things, and they were fails. If an Italian place can't make a decent chicken parm sandwich nor a decent meatball, that says something. If you go, try the pinsa.
