    Beef taco and chicken empanadas
    Frances C.

Right portion for light eater The chicken empanadas is crispy and filled with chicken rip it off with a slice of tomato and a citrus taste very complementary to the empanadas when eaten in whole. The beef taco is Delors soft shredded beef. Great breakfast and lunch place next to the Oakland farmers market

I met a friend for lunch at a food court that has several dining options. The seating is shared, and we ordered food from two different restaurants--this was one of them. The ingredients tasted very fresh and the flavors were great. I'd definitely come back next time to try other dishes.

So good!! I had the passion fruit which was refreshing and the chicken tacos, which were sooo good! It came with a side of beans and it was nice and filling. I nearly devoured the entire plate before I realized I didn't snap a plate - oops! Btw, the lines are always long, but the staff work quickly, so you won't be waiting to order or waiting to receive your food long at all. So glad I was finally able to try this place! Check it out!

Veggie Mole Rojo was sooooo good. Love that they have this as a vegan plant based option.

Service was good. Cute little place in the public market. The girl at the register was friendly and patient as we figured out what we wanted. We were there before the rush. We got chips and guacamole, coconut pescao ceviche, vegetarian mole, and beef barbacoa. The mole and barbacoa each came with a side of rice, beans, and 3 tortillas. The tortillas were nice and hot. Coconut ceviche was good but could kinda wish it had a little more seasoning. Chips and guac are standard.

Came during lunch time on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy. Plenty of seating in the food court but I guess each vendor has designated tables so staff will redirect you to new tables if you sit in areas that aren't "theirs". The empanada was delicious and the cocktail was too, I do forget the name of the cocktail I ordered.

We came here during a weekday for lunch and this place was packed. There was line going out the door and it's odd that this place attracts so many different folks. We came as a party of 4 and ordered plenty of food. One friend got the enchiladas verdes, which they thought was pretty good. Another got the seafood in a cup (which they said was too spicy). I got a lot of vegetarian dishes - the cheese and raja tamales, the patano con mole taco, and the veggie empanadas. I thought the empanada was a little more on the plain side. And the platano mole taco didn't have a ton of mole on it. The taco was not my favorite - also more plain. The beans were a little too grounded for my taste. The guacamole and chips were generous and tasted really fresh. I'm glad they have vegetarian offerings but thought the dishes could have been better.

Lovely restaurant inside of the Sean's Market building. I ordered the shrimp empanada special, which was a fried empanada filled with shrimp guisado. It was topped with guacamole, roasted salsa Verde, caggabe, onions, and tomato. It had a nice heat to it without being overpowering. I also ordered the pollo asado taco, which was grilled chicken topped with guacamole, pico de gallo, and a mild salsa Verde. While it looked small, there was a second tortilla underneath it so I separated the grilled chicken and toppings between the two tortillas which turned out to be the perfect amount of food. There was also a side of guacamole on the plate to enjoy. The restaurant offers both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. There is inside and outside seating. You order at the counter and they give you a pager to let you know when your order is ready. Once you're done eating, just leave your dishes on the table and they will come by and pick them up. I would definitely return because the food was very delicious. I got there a little after 1 PM and there was still a short line in front of me to order food. It seems to be a very popular place to eat.

I came here by accident. I was stopping by another place which disappointed me once again with their lack of food and as I was turning to walk out I spotted this place. My sister saw a news article about them so I decided to go. Boy am I glad that I did. The cashier was very nice and patient as she took our order. The place was nice and clean and I got some cool pictures. I ordered two tacos - the pork with pineapple and the birria. They were both wonderful. They had two tortillas and were full of filling. If I had a fork I would have used it to reduce the amount of filling. It came with perfectly sliced radishes and a lime wedge. I ate the slices with my meal. I doused my tacos in lime juice before eating. I have been thinking about that pork taco since. It was that good. I wanted a third taco, but didn't want to pay for parking and wait. It took a while for the food to come. But when it arrived it was happy times. My husband ordered the birria taco and a chicken asado. Again, they were fantastic and he's hard to please. He had a beer with his and liked it. We had a nice seat by the window and they ask us to leave the dishes on the table so that they can bus them which is cool. I will definitely come back.

What's not to like about Las Guerrera's?! I've been here a few times for lunch and they consistently serve up some of the best Mexican food downtown. Their plates are big enough to keep you full through dinner and food is tastes homemade which means quality ingredients! The Beef Barbacoa plate is perfect, it's not too fatty and not too lean. Topped with the salsa and served with warm tortillas, the combination of flavors is perfect. The barbacoa had a slight kick but wasn't spicy at all and had the taste of fresh chiles. Make sure you get here a little bit early or after the lunch rush though because the line fills up quick.

I visited this restaurant for the first time last Thursday for a lunch and I purchased one off and one hard shell fish taco chips and salsa. Tacos are six dollars each and the chips and salsa also are six dollars. The soft taco comes with like a pico de gallo and there's some cabbage, but the hardshell come with like a aïoli spicy sauce And that was my favorite. The space that this restaurant is located is in the Swan's marketplace downtown OaklNd. The customer service was very pleasant, welcoming , and is open air and a lovely place to visit because there's lots of little restaurants and shops around. I then visited the shop again on the following day on Friday ordering two hard shell tacos because they are Amazing! I also had a shrimp empanada, which was the special that day and it was very good.

Great seating and amazing tacos! Food: each tacos was around $5.5 and we felt like they were good! Service: workers was fast and kind! Ambiance: love an indoor marketing seating!

From the outside, it looks like a straightforward taco truck, but wow was I surprised. I ordered the Carnitas Super Taco, which came loaded with lettuce, cheese, cilantro, onions, sour cream, and guacamole. Everything was fresh, well seasoned, and packed with flavor. My only complaint? You only get one taco per order because I definitely could've eaten another. The Kid ordered the Carne Asada Super Taco and before we even pulled away, she was asking for a second one. That's usually a pretty good sign. We also tried the horchata and jamaica, and both were delicious. The horchata was creamy and flavorful, while the jamaica was refreshing and not overly sweet. What surprised me most was how quickly they got the food out, especially considering how popular this spot seems to be. A few things to know: * Cash or Venmo only * Parking can be a challenge, but it's worth it * Keep an eye out for the new speed cameras in the area Their hours are another plus: Open daily, 9:30am- midnight Overall, this was one of those pleasant surprises that reminds you not to judge a place by appearances. We called to let them know the order was incorrect and the guy who answered insisted that we ordered chicken. We most definitely didn't. He said he would replace them and he asked that we bring the chicken burritos back. This was already an inconvenience because we live 15 minutes away, so gas was wasted getting all the way over there and back. When they were picked up, instead of owning up to his mistake, the guy still insisted that we ordered chicken. Again, we did not. While we finally had what we ordered, the steak burritos were smaller and barely had any meat in them, while the incorrect order were chock full of chicken. So, needless to say, we will not be back.

I'd thought the place had lost its touch, but maybe it was just an off day. Today in May of 2026 I've managed to visit while it's a slow day, and I was pleasantly satisfied with my food. I ordered a Carnitas burrito, and it was just as delicious as I'd remembered it one decade ago. While I was eating the first half of my burrito I was thinking "this is good, but burritos are good.. is it better than other burritos I've had, and why?" Something is different about burritos at Tacos Sinaloa, the food reflects that of some regional tacos trucks scattered throughout the East bay, but they're very distinct in how well they're capable of doing this style of Mexican food. As I said earlier- burritos are good. I think they are good because everything tastes good together, but not all burritos are created equal. The first thing that stood out to me about my burrito was the tortilla. It's not your standard tortilla, and it's nothing extravagant, but it seemed intentional. The tortilla is softer, thinner, and it holds up, but it's not chewy. It's there and it soaks up the oils and it doesn't take away from anything. In my experience, a bad tortilla can make a burrito less enjoyable. This tortilla adds in that it's barely there and it's pleasant because it soaks up the flavors without detracting. On the insides, the beans and rice can give or take away depending on where you get your burrito from. At Tacos Sinaloa on this particular day, the beans and rice did not take away from the burrito. The pinto beans were plum and creamy, and tasted like pintos. No nonsense- they added because they didn't subtract, I could go on about grainy beans or starchy over seasoned bean liquid, but NONE OF THAT HERE. The rice had perfect texture. It almost like 'al dente', but not in a chewy way, it had just enough rice texture and didn't get in the way of the other ingredients. It was mildly seasoned with your classic Mexican rice (aromatic tomato broth like flavor). No nonsense, no unnecessary spices, not over saturated in liquid, or turned to mush. Just good simply season rice. Cheese and sour cream- Salty Mexican cheese, presumably Oaxaca or something similar. Adds little salty flavor explosions throughout the burrito. Sour cream, added tangy acidity that cuts through the fatty ness making it taste more lively. Of coarse, the lovely creaminess. If you're not having your burrito with these I'm very sorry for you. The star of the show- The Carnitas here is just done right. It's not over seasoned with anything, it just tastes like melty delicious braised pork shoulder, then fried to accentuate it with crispy mallard bits that surprise you throughout the burrito. Towards the end of my experience I came to the conclusion that what makes a Tacos Sinaloa burrito good is that its ingredients forward- each ingredient tastes good on its own, and that can't be said for all burritos. It's not a burrito for the sake of being a burrito. All the ingredients seem intentionally chosen so that none get in the way of one another. I want to say they make the meat the star of the show, but even if you were to have a bean and rice and cheese + sour crème burrito here it would be an exceptional burrito, which is a testament to their culinary philosophy. Last but not least- yes they have salsa, and of coarse it's good, and I love that they give lemon slices with your food - it's another small intentional detail that they offer lemon instead of lime. Carnitas burrito 5/5. Sinaloa overall 4/5 because of inconsistency.

The main reason I never went before was the parking situation, which honestly can be a little challenging, but for this visit we found parking down the block and around the corner. The short walk after dinner ended up being nice anyway. We had reservations, although we did wait about 15 extra minutes while another party finished their meal. My family member pointed out they were enjoying drinks, so that probably added some time. The waiter was very friendly, attentive, and clearly trying to get us seated as quickly as possible. Water was brought to the table right away, and our drink order was taken promptly. I ordered the chicken salad and was pleasantly surprised to learn the mango vinaigrette dressing did not contain oils, since I personally avoid seed oils. The salad was fresh and delicious. Some of my family members ordered the buffet, which looked incredible. At first it seemed like too much food for me that day, but once I saw everything included, I started thinking maybe I should have ordered it too since it was only about seven dollars more. They brought complimentary chips, guacamole, and salsa to the table, and everything was so flavorful. The guacamole was especially delicious, and they happily refilled the chips several times. I finally understood why the restaurant is called "Los Moles" because their mole sauces are outstanding. I got to try some from my son's plate, and it definitely made me want to come back and explore more of the different mole options. They also offer vegetarian choices, which is great. Although I am very particular about cooking surfaces, my food is cooked on and in, the Mexican coffee which was heated in some type of who knows what metal, had a good flavor. It inspired me to re-create it at home. Another standout for me was the freshly made corn tortillas served with the meals. They were soft, warm, and incredibly good. I also tried the beans, which were full of flavor. Overall, this restaurant really stood out in my memory, and I definitely want to return someday to try more moles.

And suddenly a pattern emerged: stale chips, stale tacos, food making people sick, delivery orders arriving wrong or poorly made, hostile service interactions, customers being spoken to aggressively, and an overall sense that quality control has completely collapsed. One reviewer even described an employee asking if they "wanted to fight." Another described disputing charges over incorrect orders because the food quality was so poor. What makes this especially disappointing is that the restaurant presents itself as a serious modern Bay Area Mexican concept tied to an admired culinary name. Instead, the actual execution feels careless, inconsistent, and deeply below the standards the restaurant markets itself on. Restaurants can survive a bad night. What they cannot survive is the perception that nobody cares anymore. Right now, that is exactly the impression Todos Cantina gives off. Frankly, this is an embarrassment to the legacy and reputation associated with the Martinez name. I truly hope someone steps in and turns this place around, because based on my experience (and many others here) things have gone badly off the rails.
