    Beef taco and chicken empanadas
    Frances C.

Right portion for light eater The chicken empanadas is crispy and filled with chicken rip it off with a slice of tomato and a citrus taste very complementary to the empanadas when eaten in whole. The beef taco is Delors soft shredded beef. Great breakfast and lunch place next to the Oakland farmers market

Pescado taco and puerco enchilado & pineapple taco

Stopped in for a quick lunch during conference weekend. Considering the length of the line- they moved at a pretty efficient pace. I ordered the Pescado taco and puerco enchilado & pineapple taco. While both were good, the puerco enchilado (al pastor essentially) was really dang good. Perfectly seasoned and filling. I'm hoping to try other new spots this weekend but may find myself back here for another.

Where to start...first off, we only came here to attend the little pop up they had along with a Dj from Los Angeles. We told ourselves it's only an hour away, so we went. The food, was Amazing!!! The lines were long, but they were super fast and efficient. I had the Chilaquiles and my wife had the Carnitas Platter. We also tried the fired plantains. When it comes to flavor, presentation, portion size, everything was Perfect.u wife had a cucumber lime aqua fresca, it was pretty good. I tried the Paloma, it's made with wine, not tequila, wasn't a fan of it. But I should have know it wouldn't taste the same. Along with the food and service, the restaurant is located inside a location where there are other restaurants/meat markets around there. With the event today it was cool to have the Dj playing music, all the people smiling and dancing, will definitely have to come back.

I met a friend for lunch at a food court that has several dining options. The seating is shared, and we ordered food from two different restaurants--this was one of them. The ingredients tasted very fresh and the flavors were great. I'd definitely come back next time to try other dishes.

Service was good. Cute little place in the public market. The girl at the register was friendly and patient as we figured out what we wanted. We were there before the rush. We got chips and guacamole, coconut pescao ceviche, vegetarian mole, and beef barbacoa. The mole and barbacoa each came with a side of rice, beans, and 3 tortillas. The tortillas were nice and hot. Coconut ceviche was good but could kinda wish it had a little more seasoning. Chips and guac are standard.

So good!! I had the passion fruit which was refreshing and the chicken tacos, which were sooo good! It came with a side of beans and it was nice and filling. I nearly devoured the entire plate before I realized I didn't snap a plate - oops! Btw, the lines are always long, but the staff work quickly, so you won't be waiting to order or waiting to receive your food long at all. So glad I was finally able to try this place! Check it out!

We came here during a weekday for lunch and this place was packed. There was line going out the door and it's odd that this place attracts so many different folks. We came as a party of 4 and ordered plenty of food. One friend got the enchiladas verdes, which they thought was pretty good. Another got the seafood in a cup (which they said was too spicy). I got a lot of vegetarian dishes - the cheese and raja tamales, the patano con mole taco, and the veggie empanadas. I thought the empanada was a little more on the plain side. And the platano mole taco didn't have a ton of mole on it. The taco was not my favorite - also more plain. The beans were a little too grounded for my taste. The guacamole and chips were generous and tasted really fresh. I'm glad they have vegetarian offerings but thought the dishes could have been better.

Green Chicken Empanada, Fish Taco, Mango Shrimp Ceviche (oysters are from another vendor)

Came during lunch time on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy. Plenty of seating in the food court but I guess each vendor has designated tables so staff will redirect you to new tables if you sit in areas that aren't "theirs". The empanada was delicious and the cocktail was too, I do forget the name of the cocktail I ordered.

Lovely restaurant inside of the Sean's Market building. I ordered the shrimp empanada special, which was a fried empanada filled with shrimp guisado. It was topped with guacamole, roasted salsa Verde, caggabe, onions, and tomato. It had a nice heat to it without being overpowering. I also ordered the pollo asado taco, which was grilled chicken topped with guacamole, pico de gallo, and a mild salsa Verde. While it looked small, there was a second tortilla underneath it so I separated the grilled chicken and toppings between the two tortillas which turned out to be the perfect amount of food. There was also a side of guacamole on the plate to enjoy. The restaurant offers both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. There is inside and outside seating. You order at the counter and they give you a pager to let you know when your order is ready. Once you're done eating, just leave your dishes on the table and they will come by and pick them up. I would definitely return because the food was very delicious. I got there a little after 1 PM and there was still a short line in front of me to order food. It seems to be a very popular place to eat.

Veggie Mole Rojo was sooooo good. Love that they have this as a vegan plant based option.

I came here by accident. I was stopping by another place which disappointed me once again with their lack of food and as I was turning to walk out I spotted this place. My sister saw a news article about them so I decided to go. Boy am I glad that I did. The cashier was very nice and patient as she took our order. The place was nice and clean and I got some cool pictures. I ordered two tacos - the pork with pineapple and the birria. They were both wonderful. They had two tortillas and were full of filling. If I had a fork I would have used it to reduce the amount of filling. It came with perfectly sliced radishes and a lime wedge. I ate the slices with my meal. I doused my tacos in lime juice before eating. I have been thinking about that pork taco since. It was that good. I wanted a third taco, but didn't want to pay for parking and wait. It took a while for the food to come. But when it arrived it was happy times. My husband ordered the birria taco and a chicken asado. Again, they were fantastic and he's hard to please. He had a beer with his and liked it. We had a nice seat by the window and they ask us to leave the dishes on the table so that they can bus them which is cool. I will definitely come back.

What's not to like about Las Guerrera's?! I've been here a few times for lunch and they consistently serve up some of the best Mexican food downtown. Their plates are big enough to keep you full through dinner and food is tastes homemade which means quality ingredients! The Beef Barbacoa plate is perfect, it's not too fatty and not too lean. Topped with the salsa and served with warm tortillas, the combination of flavors is perfect. The barbacoa had a slight kick but wasn't spicy at all and had the taste of fresh chiles. Make sure you get here a little bit early or after the lunch rush though because the line fills up quick.

I visited this restaurant for the first time last Thursday for a lunch and I purchased one off and one hard shell fish taco chips and salsa. Tacos are six dollars each and the chips and salsa also are six dollars. The soft taco comes with like a pico de gallo and there's some cabbage, but the hardshell come with like a aïoli spicy sauce And that was my favorite. The space that this restaurant is located is in the Swan's marketplace downtown OaklNd. The customer service was very pleasant, welcoming , and is open air and a lovely place to visit because there's lots of little restaurants and shops around. I then visited the shop again on the following day on Friday ordering two hard shell tacos because they are Amazing! I also had a shrimp empanada, which was the special that day and it was very good.

From the outside, it looks like a straightforward taco truck, but wow was I surprised. I ordered the Carnitas Super Taco, which came loaded with lettuce, cheese, cilantro, onions, sour cream, and guacamole. Everything was fresh, well seasoned, and packed with flavor. My only complaint? You only get one taco per order because I definitely could've eaten another. The Kid ordered the Carne Asada Super Taco and before we even pulled away, she was asking for a second one. That's usually a pretty good sign. We also tried the horchata and jamaica, and both were delicious. The horchata was creamy and flavorful, while the jamaica was refreshing and not overly sweet. What surprised me most was how quickly they got the food out, especially considering how popular this spot seems to be. A few things to know: * Cash or Venmo only * Parking can be a challenge, but it's worth it * Keep an eye out for the new speed cameras in the area Their hours are another plus: Open daily, 9:30am- midnight Overall, this was one of those pleasant surprises that reminds you not to judge a place by appearances. Reason why I'd give 3 stars instead of 5 is because 1) almost $5 for one tiny taco is already absurd, and 2) half of the time they charge me for super taco prices just so i can go home and find out they gave me regular tacos - NO cheese, NO guac, NO sour cream. I even asked the dude on the phone how many bags of chips they give for my order so i know if I need to order more, he literally said two bags of chips, and end up giving me just one bag for a total of 4 "super" tacos and one "super" burrito. We are in search of a Baja fish taco that is satisfying since both of the places we loved either closed or stopped serving the baja style. We went to Mersea earlier for the views and to check out TI and it was uninspiring so we rambled back to the east bay and decided to try Mercado. Reviews looked good (thanks y'all, I appreciate you) and despite a few misses on the baja taco (according to some reviews) we decided to take a run at it. The man was feeling jaded after the am stop and wasn't going for the fish, I stayed neutral...no one wants their little taco loving heart broken twice in one day...ultimately, he decided to try the fish taco plate with 1 baja and one grilled. I had the poblano mole tacos w/chicken. We shared the guacamole with chips. I had cafe de olla (it is called something else here) and he had the mocktail with the ginger beer. The ordering at the counter wasn't my favorite but the spot was pretty quiet for a Friday midday and the service was still exceptional. They were attentive and responsive. I would definitely go back at the same time cuz I don't like crowds. On to the food. Dayum! Everything was good. Well seasoned, beautifully plated, and sufficient serving size. I pigged out. For real...I waddled out of that joint. Brought every drop of the leftovers home so I could have the chocolate custard (DAYUM) for dessert with the remnants of my coffee. Him: he preferred the baja style to the grilled fish. As some others have said, it can fall apart (really stuffed with goodness) but he didn't want his fixins on the side. VERDICT: he'll be back for that taco. Me: I enjoyed the mole but the chicken in chunks didn't work for me. I would have preferred it shredded. I'll try something else next time and there will be a next time. Oh, and the black beans and green rice were flavorful as well. Standing order: guacamole and chips Cafe Chocolate custard... What? No pics? Come on now. I wasn't thinking 'bout y'all when my food came. Go take your own pics.

We got the crispy rice pork salad, this is served with lettuce leaves and herbs and a wedge of lime. I loved this dish - the crispy rice and ground pork combination was balanced and the squeeze of lime juice made for a perfect bite wrapped in a lettuce leaf with mint and cilantro. Next was the Bird & Buffalo Chicken wings, perfectly crispy and tossed in salt and pepper. Good for folks who don't enjoy the spice. We also got the grilled pork spare ribs to share, which folks enjoyed. For entrees we had the drunken noodles with pork, green curry with rice and massaman curry with rice.
