The best sushi ever!! Server was super sweet and came just before sunset right when they opened. We sat on the patio and the ambiance was so nice after a long day. We had the Tuna Shishito, Hot Night, Sunset and Crispy Albacore rolls. if you're a fan of toro, we had the most buttery, fatty piece of toro that was fresh and out of this world. Quality of the fish is definitely there but their food overall lacks flavor. We started with the miso soup and right away it tasted watered down. The rolls we ordered were: dragon, 911, shiso, and salmon supreme. Dragon was the best by far. The other rolls just fall off in taste. However the fish in every roll was soft and tender so it definitely lives up to the name. I suggest coming here if you prefer nigiri or sashimi not the stereotypical sushi roll. What a finding!!! Made a last beach trip before summer ends. We found a new sushi place "seabutter" I already had a food feeling about it when i entered the store. The cute hostess asked me whether i made a reservation or not. I said "no". But she gave me warm smile then lead us ocean view seating patio. Another wow factor. Even though there is little lack of deco you cant beat the beauty of nature. Then, our server came to the table and recommended some dishes which are fabulous. I exactly did not remember the name. It looked like rectangular sushi i never seen before. But, when i bite a piece, i realized why this restaurant called "Seabutter ". Just melted in mouth. I usually have to carry out because my husband won't eat sushi, and is never happy even with non-sushi items . He had a sea bass that was very good. Instagram got me. The photos and videos looked so delicious, but what we actually got was a mixed bag. We ordered vegetable tempura and miso soup to start. The miso soup was perfect. The vegetable tempura was not good. It came with sweet potatoes, onion, zucchini and broccoli. The piece of broccoli was huge and when I bit into it, the dough was raw. We ordered three rolls of sushi...spicy tuna, salmon supreme and dragon. The dragon was great, spicy tiny was average and the salmon supreme was subpar. The salmon supreme comes with lemon on top and they were huge chunks that were very ripe, so the lemon flavor was overpowering and very tart. The first bite literally made me pucker and blew out my pallet. We took the lemon slices off the top, which helped, but I would not recommend. Service wise, it was very confusing. They were overstaffed, which isn't normally a bad thing, but we weren't sure who our actual waiter was because we had someone different ask us if we were okay every 5 minutes. It was a bit overwhelming. And despite how "on top of it" the staff seemed, when we complained about the tempura they glazed over the issue. We let the server pick our rolls - the first one came out and it was super fresh via some sort of citrus juice. then other rolls hit and we noticed they put this juice on most of them. that was disappointing, but I suppose that was our fault for not ordering variation.
