Hubby and I got some chicken tenders with sweet chili and smash potatoes which is something I had never heard of. The tenders were crispy and the sauce very good. The meal was excellent. I had the seafood platter and everything was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere left a little to be desired. I would have thought that if you're designing a new building they would have designed a better dining room. The entrance door goes right from the dining room to the parking lot so if you sit by the door in the winter time you better keep your jacket on. I went to Seafood & Cones last week and the food was nothing short of incredible. I highly recommend the chowder, smashed potatoes, boom boom/coconut/and baked stuffed shrimp (YES- all three). We had the pleasure of having Tim as our sever who turned out to be the owner -- not only was the service great but he kept my table laughing all night long. We loved being able to have FRESH seafood and end our meal with a sweet treat! It was definitely a five star night! I have eaten seafood 2x and it has been superior. Service was fantastic. But the ice cream is not worth it. I got a 2 scoop sundae for $8. First the service is not the best. I was 3rd in line (with 1 person waiting for their order) and the girls seemed completely overwhelmed. The scoops must be done with teaspoons - they were minimal and the hot fudge serving was even smaller. I ordered toasted marshmallow and there were enough of those, but only 4-5 were toasted. Very disappointing. I said it was to go, but the sundae came with no top. I had to ask again. And all of this was $8 with tax. So their food seems to be well worth it. My wife and I were trying decide on a lunch venue and I had read a number of reviews and wanted to check it out. We arrived around noon on 6-27-2024. The building had a pleasant rustic appearance with plenty of parking. There are takeout windows on the right side of the building, covered picnic tables in the rear and very clean restrooms on the rear of the building. Interior seating was modest but sufficient with comfortable seats accommodating 2, 4 and 6 with the ability to reposition tables for larger groups. The menu covered seafood, sandwiches and grilled items with very good choices. My wife chose the Fried Shrimp Plate which came with 8 large shrimp, choice of fries, cole slaw, and tartar sauce and she chose Onion Rings. I went with the Steamed Clam boil which included 1# of clams (2 was available), broth for rinsing and melted clarified butter, Corn on the Cob, Linguica, Hot Dogs and Potatoes. My wife and I both found the shrimp to be cooked perfectly with good flavor and texture and the Rings with the right amount of crunch without over powering the consistency of the onion. I had not had Steamers for many years mainly because it can sometimes be a crapshoot as to the quality and the level of grit. These were perfect! Not was with even a hint of grit, very tender, not overly cooked, good size and excellent flavor. I would definitely order again but I really want to try the PEI Mussels! The waitress was very friendly and welcoming without being overly so with the right balance of attentiveness and answered all of our questions. Halfway through the meal Dave, one of the owners visited our table and showed a genuine interest in us and our opinion of our meals. He was a nice guy! We really enjoyed our experience and will return (we live in Plymouth, MA so it not around the block for us) we highly recommend this place! read more

Just tried Seafood and Cones for the first time tonight. Probably the best fried fish I've ever had. It was so fresh, lightly battered, and not greasy at all. Had an enjoyable lunch today with friends. I was impressed with the portion sizes and really enjoyed some fried scallops and shrimp. I usually get fried scallops out on the Cape and these were big and tasted great. We finished off with one of their new s'mores sundaes - very yummy. It's not a formal place at all, and that's okay. The food is worth the trip for this place with the "neighbor owner" feel. The food is the focus, and if you love seafood and/or simply want a place to go that has great food, friendly, excellent service, and prices that are not off the charts...this is the place. Amazing gluten free seafood. It is awesome to be able to have it again. They do have a dedicated fryer for the GF items. I opted for the fish & chips, but I'll have to get the whole belly clams another time, as I couldn't make up my mind. They have many other GF options, too. The portion was huge. We've been needing a good seafood place in the area and this place is unfortunately NOT IT. Way to expensive for what u get. Minimal variety. And no taste--does that cover it all? Clam cakes are overcooked but would improve in taste if u drizzled the clam juice from the can over them. Dont be surprised if one bounces off the floor if u drop it.. French fries look like sections of broken onion rings but taste closer to warmed raw potatoes. They cant cook the way they are cut. ... Fish batter came off in one solid piece when my fork was inserted. Was it just placed on top after being fried. Result was a fish scented piece of white mush. Can someone open a decent fried seafood joint please. {I lived on the north shore for 30 yearsand Richardson's ice cream is just a knock off of the many excellent homemade ice cream joints up there.} read more

Great lunch today. The clam chowder was delicious. The fried fish was not greasy at all. I thought the breaded fish was fabulous, while others at the table enjoyed the beer-battered fish. The fish portions were huge, even in the fish tacos. Sidewinder fries were excellent! We ate indoors and had terrific service. My husband and I slept on this restaurant. We passed by it a few times but didn't give it a try until last night. As Catholics, we don't eat meat on Fridays. We are therefore always on the lookout for a good seafood joint. Found it! I got the beer battered fish and chips. Nice and crispy. My husband got the seafood platter (which, by the way, is enough for two people). We topped it off with ice cream which was also good. We sat inside but apparently there is an outdoor seating area as well. The waitress (Kaitlyn) was great- friendly, attentive, great conversationalist. Also talked with the co-owner who understands the importance of interacting with the customer base (restaurants often lose that personal touch when they grow too much). Went here last minute and what a tasty spot! Not only great seafood it had something for the whole family to choose from! It has corn hole for kids to play while you wait for food, but it comes out so fast that can't get a full game in! Also tables and outdoor bathrooms....I hope this is here to stay !! read more

For a new upstart it is doing fine. The fish is definitely fresh and the servings are huge. They need to do more with the little things: ketchup in packets?! Note there is very minimal indoor seating BUT the outdoor seating is adorable, clean and plentiful. We brought little ones and dogs, the grassy area and outdoor games kept everyone entertained. It's a shame actually. The fact that I can only muster up three stars. The location is sweet, lots of traffic. Service great the owner/manager hits every table to talk to the guest. So what the issue? PEOPLE EAT WITH THEIR EYES FIRST. The food of course. The potion sizes are good but the presentation is abysmal to put it mildly. Anyone in the business for any time soon learns that you can't just fry stuff and pile it on a plate! First of all, after expensive seafood is fried it become a very delicate item to handle. Grabbing it with tongs or just dumping the basket on the plate is not the way to go. Sad part is, most customers don't know that themselves. When I order the seafood platter to share with my wife it was impossible to differentiate between the different types of seafood we where looking at, as it was intertwined with the broken pieces of fried batter bits. So basically the 3 stars are for service and attitude. If I was to rate it on just the food presentation it would be lower. My hope is that they can figure out their presentation shortcomings and grow from there. read more

I moved from MA to Colorado almost 6 yrs ago and have missed fried clams and seafood more than I can say!! Came back to MA for the first time in 3 years this week to see family & friends, and was searching for fried clams as the FOMO was all to real by this point Lol... We usually go to Home Plate when we visit, but all they had were the clam strips, so we took a chance on Seafood & Cones & boy am I glad we did!! My fiance and I got the fried clams and his friend & his wife got clam chowdah (lol), fried scallops and the chicken tossed in chile sauce. Everything was beyond delicious!!!! We also had the pleasure of speaking with the owner and other staff & they were beyond courteous and helpful! He asked what brought us out here and how he had been stuck in PA while traveling once for 8 hrs in traffic due to an accident. It felt less like a restaurant and more like you were eating with family!! I can't recommend them enough!! Will definitely be trying to go back before we leave!! A+++++ all around!!! read more
