So I USE to love this place but the new girl that works there is very rude. She acts like she hates being there. She was rude in seating us then would not accept the yelp deal that is clearly still up as of 11/19/17 free drink upon check in. I told her since it was still up she had to honor it. She went back to speak with some then rudely said "what kind of drink do you want" like she was so mad that she had to honor this coupon that is clearly still valid. Then when my sister and I ordered our drinks she said only 1 per table I told her I was just here last week and the other girl honored both our check ins. Me and the wife been living in riverside for 5 years. Transplants from LA and have been missing the fried fish joints. Came here and I was skeptical...HOWEVER, the fried catfish platter was absolutely incredible. The fries were fresh and crispy, washed it all down with a cold fresh brewski. Just had the best meal from Seafood and Crawfish. Several friends told me it was the bomb and they were not wrong. The customer service was very pleasant and the young lady helped me order. I ordered the lobster, Crab, and shrimp in a delicious spicy sauce. Oh and the corn and potatoes were delicious. We could not eat in but it was well worth ordering and taking it home. Upon arriving at the location we saw that is was super busy. We were 5th in line and surprisingly didnt have to wait very long. They sat us down and we got bibs and proceeded to order our drinks. The staff was super friendly and when we let her know it was our first time here she was super nice and walked us through the menu and made suggestions on what to try, or what was most popular. The food and the seasoning was super delicious and let me tell you the mild is a bit spicy, so unless you can really handle spicy foods i wouldnt get anything hotter than mild. The beer selection was okay, the only down side for me was they didnt offer girly fruity drinks (but thats just me). Otherwise the place is delicious and would strongly reccomend trying it if you havent yet. Did seem to have many locals, and right next to a lotions and lace . The hubby and I have really been wanting some delicious fried fish - since we've relocated to Riverside in August we have not found any good fish fry places (we love the "You Buy, We Fry" places in the hood (LA county) and can't seem to find one nearby - so when I stumbled across this local spot on Yelp and saw that it had fried fish + cajun style (and great reviews) we decided to give it a try. We ordered the 2 corns, catfish basket, shrimp basket, and filet of sole basket with 2 regular fries and 1 cajun french fry. The food came out really hot, which was great (make sure you let it cool down so you can enjoy). The corn on the cob was hot but lacked flavor - a little butter would have gone a long way. The batter on the fish was great but the fish and batter didn't have much flavor or seasoning - when I asked for seasoning salt they said that they didn't have any, which along with the bland flavor confirmed to me that they don't really season the fish prior to frying. (Keep in mind that I was expecting the great fried fish flavors we are used to at the "You Buy, We Fry" because they season the fish and the batter, which makes a huge difference in taste.) The shrimp were delicious but I'm not sure if they de-vein the fish or not, thought I saw some when I bit into one of the shrimps - I would try this again. The filet of sole was a lot thicker than I normally see and looked and tasted just like the catfish - not sure if they accidentally made to orders of catfish or their filet of sole is just really thick but that is a mystery to me. The tartar sauce was not my favorite so I ended up using ketchup. The french fries were ok - needed some salt or seasoning - the ranch tasted weird to me, like it was missing an ingredient. The cajun fries - don't waste your time on ordering - spicy but super bland (they should add some salt/seasoning salt to it) and it's definitely not worth the $2.75 up-charge, which I didn't notice until we got the bill! My hubby had 2 beers and the total for this meal was $38, which I thought was a little on the pricey side for the quality. On the positive side, the venue's outside appearance in a strip mall doesn't do the inside justice as I thought the place was nice inside and a decent size. Service was ok. All in all it was just an ok experience, I'm very picky and I like what I like so I most likely will not be returning, but my hubby who is not as picky liked it and said he would return. If you've never had "You Buy, We Fry" then you don't know what you are missing and you'll most likely enjoy this place. I can't speak on the quality and taste of anything other than what we ordered, so the other stuff could be delicious. Definitely go check it out and form your own opinion. read more

Well I'm came here from for the first time tonight for my best friend birthday on a whim. I was lucky to get a parking space right in the front because the place was packed and so was the parking lot. Coming in I wasn't expecting such a small place but it was nice. No one will greet you, you just sign in with the number of parties. Took about 20 minutes to get seated. No prob. Gave us time to think about what we want. Our waitress was Dawn, she was nice to go over the menu with us since we told her it was our first time here and she made a few good suggestions on food choice which we took. Cool. Our food took about 20-25 minutes. Got our food, but had a mix up with the fries. We ordered Cajun season (which Dawn highly suggested) but got regular ones. I tried to call her back politely "excuse miss" but was ignored. Got another waitress to let her know we received the wrong fries and tried to to let Dawn know but I guess she didn't hear me. Ok cool. Waitress said no prob I'll let her know. We watch the other waitress tell Dawn what happened and she came over about 5 minutes later. She apologized for the mix up and said she forgot to add Cajun. We could add it but it will cost extra and take 5 or more minutes to cook. Wanted us to know before we decided to change it. Best Fran said that's okay with a sad face and kept the regular fries. Due to it being already so busy in there. She never offered to take it off the order (strike 1). Ok maybe she can redeem herself. We were running out of napkins as they were already low when we were seated. Politely requested her, she came over, told her we needed more napkins. Well about 10 minutes went by and since the place is so small we saw her just standing there at times, walking to her designated tables and pass by our table 3x. When she came back, she asked if my best friend would like more water, she said yes and napkins too. Dawn, our waitress totally forgot about the napkins and she apologized...okaaayy (strike 2). No problem, as we were finishing up our food best friend said hey Dawn just left. I asked are you sure? She said yeah, she had her bag and purse in her hands and left. Wow...ummm...no waitress/waiter told us that she was leaving and they would be taking over (strike 3). At that point weren't sure who was going to finish serving our table. About 20 minutes later another waitress looked at our table (not sure her name) gave us our check and said whenever we're ready. Looking at the receipt, it was a fair price for what we got and Dawn did take the fries off. Thanks Dawn. So I couldn't leave a small generous tip for her and I wasn't going to leave it for the another one. So that pretty sums it up for me. Probably won't be going back for a while. The sauce the boil comes in, is awesome! The fried snapper was good too but needed a little more seasoning. Overall I would come back but no time soon. Especially on a Saturday night. read more

Out waitress was one of the best and you can tell she likes her job. The food was fresh, fast and tasty. Seated and not given any bibs. Given the rice before even getting the appetizers or main food. When asked to take back the rice and bring it with the main food, it was brought out again in two minutes with this confused look of the correlation between wanting hot rice with the food. Then the server brings out garlic bread when we ordered garlic noodles. When told this is incorrect, we are given a blank stare. A different server brings out the fries and appetizers, when asked for bibs he states "who the heck sat your guys" jokingly because obviously that was their job. I simply point and he laughs "oh the boss, Seth" not even surprised by this. Food is brought out. The mild is ridiculously hot, my mother couldn't eat it. When told to bring it back, you can over hear a waiter telling their boss this is probably the "eight or ninth time today" that the mild is just too hot. The garlic noodles are more like pepper noodles with how much black pepper is on it. Oh and the waiter that took our order never came back to be our wait staff after it was brought up that our order was incorrect on a multitude of levels. Ooohhh Emmmm Geeeee!! This place is soooooooooo delicious! (Yes all the extra ooooooo's are absolutely necessary). We ordered the 1 1/2 lb shrimp 'All' seasoning which is a combo of their buttery garlic, cajun, and lemon pepper seasoning, we did mild for spicy level. We also added sausage, potato, and corn. The flavor was crazy!!!! I love lemon, black pepper and garlic and the 'sauce' was packed with all three. The shrimp are a great size, the corn and potato were cooked perfectly as was the shrimp and sausage. Omg. We wished we had ordered 1 1/2 EACH! The sauce was thick and full of pieces of garlic, we couldn't get enough. You have to try this place!!! Customer service was great, friendly and attentive. The play list they have going is also on point. At the end they bring you an awesome soap dry ice to wash up at the table, pretty cool!
