Let's just start off by saying that it was on Mother's Day that we came here. It was busy but not as crazy as we thought! We lucked out and found parking since the restaurant shares a parking lot in a shopping plaza. The restaurant itself was very clean and the service was pretty good for it being busy. We were very fortunate that we made reservations almost a month in advance! There were people waiting for 1 to 2 hours just to get a spot. The ambiance was casual and there were plenty of booths, which was awesome! We didn't feel squeezed in at all. Our service professional was very sweet and nice, but you can really tell that she was swamped and overwhelmed. We had to ask for things more than once, but are main service professional had sent her colleagues over to assist us as well. Really great teamwork! Rating from 1:00 to 5:00, with five being the best, please see the following: 4 Filet mignon and lobster combination was a four. We ordered the steak as medium rare and it came out a little bit medium well, but it was pretty nicely seasoned. The lobster was a little rubbery and seemed to be overcooked. The mashed potatoes were amazing! 3 The grilled sea bass was pretty good and lightly seasoned. I asked for more lemon to be put on the sea bass which made a great difference. Definitely flaky, but really on the small side. If it wasn't for the vegetables, I think I would still be starving. The brussel sprout said it was supposed to be made with bacon, it definitely did not have any bacon. Some of them were cooked and the others were not. The spinach however had a nice garlic leaf flavor and really enjoyed it. 4 The strip loin dinner order with a side of scallops was pretty good. The steak was cooked medium rare as requested and the scallops were a decent size. Again the vegetables were probably the best of the dish. 3.5-4 The shrimp bucatini was probably the best dish. But you definitely do need to add lemon and a little bit more salt and pepper. I would ask for some Parmesan cheese. It came out a little bland but after we added stuff to it it was pretty good. The shrimp was a great size! 4 The sushi platter was probably one of the better dishes. The seafood tasted fresh and the sushi rice was definitely soft and not dried. It paired perfectly with the wasabi and soy sauce. 4 The creme brulee was pretty yummy, but it didn't seem like it was made with vanilla bean. It seems as though it was made more with vanilla extract and it was a little runny. 4 Butter Cake was actually one of the better ones. Definitely moist and flavorful. Would have loved to have it a little more buttery unless sweet. It came already on raspberry fillings, but it would taste it so much better without it. Overall, we would definitely come back and we are pretty confident that if it's not on a holiday that the food and service would be amazing! read more

King's Fish House (Corona) is a 10/10! I've been to other locations before, but the Corona location truly stands out. The restaurant was very clean (as it should be), but what really made our experience exceptional was our server, Daniel; he seriously deserves a raise! He was attentive, knowledgeable, and offered great suggestions for our meal, all of which we loved. The bread served at the table was fresh and soft, such a great start. We began with the New England clam chowder (10/10), which was absolutely delicious. For drinks, we ordered a Moscow Mule and a spicy margarita. The Moscow Mule was perfectly made. The spicy margarita wasn't as sweet as we expected, but when we mentioned it, Daniel suggested adding a bit of extra syrup before replacing it, and it worked perfectly! For our entrees, we ordered the King's Combo Platter (10/10) and the New England Lobster Roll with browned butter (also 10/10). Everything from the food to the drinks to the service was excellent. I've been going to the location in Laguna Hills for years and love it, and was excited to take my family to this one in Corona since it's closer. I always get a dozen oysters and I like to sit by the Oyster Bar just to watch them shuck. In Laguna Hills it's in a prime location of the restaurant but here it's just a little area kind of tucked away. It was so empty, I thought maybe the restaurant closed for a few hours and reopened at dinner (it was 3:30 on a Wednesday). Probably should have moved to a table because the bartender didn't look too thrilled to serve us. The oysters were great, the clam chowder was great, but I think I'll stick to Laguna Hills where the staff actually tries to be friendly. read more

We came on a Thursday evening and it was slow. Perfect night for good service. We ordered calamari, raw scallops, clam chowder which came with fresh, hot sourdough bread and butter and a few drinks. With this re-review, not too much to add that I have not included in my multiple prior reviews - we still really enjoy and appreciate King's Fish House - Corona. On recent visits, we have noticed that nearly 1/2 to 3/4 of the restaurant is full of empty tables (perhaps this is due to the fact that we try to come here during non "rush hour" times); just an observation. On this visit, I tried the tuna melt sandwich. Although it tasted good and was true tuna fish pieces (obviously not from a can), it would not be something I would get again (I found myself thinking that I prefer the "canned tuna" tuna melts from other places. My wife however, had the Seabass and the (long neck) clams and was so very pleased. The service was absolutely great - making us feel like valued customers, and the cocktails were, as always, top-notch. read more

You can depend on quality and good service here. There were four of us this time. We all had special requests and our waiter came through. My wife had the sea bass and the portions were good sized. She loved the heirloom carrots but gave the meh to the cauliflower. I went with the grilled talipia, heirloom carrots and grilled zucchini. Everything was on point and delicious. I've actually been to King's Fish House in Corona quite a few times, and every visit has been consistently great. The food is so good that I usually forget to take pictures for Yelp, and I almost forgot again this time, so please excuse the photo of the half-eaten tuna melt! I ordered the "World Class" tuna melt, which is generously stuffed with albacore tuna on grilled New York rye bread, with just the right amount of cheese. For my side, I had the macaroni and cheese, which was rich and comforting. I wasn't able to finish everything because I filled up on the house bread that's served before the meal, always hard to resist. I've always loved the atmosphere here, along with the decor. It's comfortable, welcoming, and a great place to enjoy a good meal. This is definitely one of my favorite spots to go out and eat, and I'll keep coming back. read more

Great restaurant, excellent customer service, went to order my favorite dish, Cioppino, the server suggested the special of the day, soft Shell Blue Crab, I had this dish in South Carolina, which I really enjoyed, this night. I did not particularly enjoy my meal. I found the crab to be slightly mushy for my taste. I let the server know of my displeasure when she inquired how I enjoyed the meal, I advised her was a bit mushy for my taste, and would not order again. Lesson learned.' read more

I received a gift card for Christmas and decided I would take my gf to Kings. I was really looking forward to it and I was not let down. VICTORIA! Wonderful waitress, knew the menu like the back of her hand. I had to ask, "what would a girlfriend get that's really not into fish or crab?" We got the bucatini with chicken substitute, delicious. Dined here for solo lunch. First visit at this location. No wait and got seated right away. Host seated me in a huge booth by the bar. It was super comfy. Server was really nice and helped me decide on a small oyster order. It was lunch so I just got an appetizer size Nawlin's bbq shrimp. I order it practically every visit. Food arrived & thoroughly enjoyed it! I have been to several King Fish locations and I always order their Nawlin's bbq shrimp. This one was one of the best I have had. On the spicy side but I loved it! I finished only 1/2 and took home the rest. I'll probably make some rice to go with it for dinner tonight. My experience at this location was great and would return with family next time. Lots of parking available. There's a nice waiting area outside of the restaurant that has trees and is shaded. We go here often, and usually really good experience. This Saturday evening, but so much. Food was on the verge of cold, but I was too hungry to have redone. My wife's plate cane out with mashed potatoes and a baked potato as the sides, missing the veggie.. who orders to sides of potatoes. Go to pack up, and was asked if he could do it for us, we said sure...see pic. That's the fully eaten baked potato, and just threw everything together... looks like was in a hurry. When: Saturday at noon Parking: massive parking lot as there are plenty of businesses in this strip mall area. It wasn't hard to find a spot nearby. Ambience: Inside was a little dark with dark wood furniture and booths. I opted to dine outside but it did get hot as it was mid day in July. They should have some fans out there for the heat and the incessant flies that came to bother us. Service: Great service! We were served with a smile and a cheerful attitude. Our food and drinks came out promptly. What I tasted: the free bread and butter was delicious! I arrived starving and loved that they provided this right away. The fried calamari was a miss for me. Many of the bites I had was just fried batter instead of the calamari I craved! A little disappointing but I managed. The gin drink (I forget what it's called!) was so good, I ordered 2. Very easy to drink and refreshing. The wild caught cedar salmon was flaky, buttery and tender. The veggies and rice it was served with was good but nothing out of this world. The lemon nut crusted sea bass was also cooked well. I wanted more of a lemon flavor but maybe it wasn't in the 1 bite I took. The portion size was very large- this meal kept me full all day! The bread pudding for dessert was a showstopper. I've never had bread pudding before and was shocked by how good it was. The flavors were balanced and it wasn't too sweet. The ice cream on top was perfect for the hot afternoon. Overall thoughts: Kings fish house is a great spot for families to dine at. I will probably choose to dine indoors as the flies and heat outside was a little too invasive. The portions are large and the ingredients are generally good. Reservations were acknowledged right away. No waiting. Host staff were very courteous. Staff overall were very attentive. Pacing of dishes was very good. Started with oysters then soup. Bread service was hot and fresh. Entrees were halibut, Chilean sea bass and whole sea bream. All very good portions and cooked perfectly. Since it was a birthday we were treated to dessert. When she was gonna have a short break, she would let us know that we would be served by other people. She introduced the difference between different oysters, and also recommended pacific oyster to my wife. The restroom is clean and the atmosphere is classic and American style.
