Shoutiut to chimetime. My favorite food critic on youtube. He had this place on one of his shorts. And it looks so damn good. So I came in town to see a concert and I had to check them out. I like Greensboro it's a nice little town. I don't know what the Special Sauce is. But it is life-changing. It's the red sauce that come in little cups. But what you see in their pictures is exactly what your taste buds get. It seems not to be regular deep fried food. I can't put my fingers on it, it's either the seasoning or the breading but it is totally different than what I'm used to. It is perfectly seasoned with the perfect crunch to it. It really comes out on the fried whiting. please do yourself a favor and stop by. Even if you go out to eat somewhere else for dinner and you're in town, just grab a few things for a late night snack. If you're a seafood lover, they definitely have treats for you. wings are awesome. I thoroughly enjoyed the fried oysters. And the crab legs were perfect. When you walk in, it smells like fresh seafood from the door. I love that smell. I wish someone can encapsulate it in perfume one day. I wish we had more time. This is some place I will want to come for dinner. This was an in and out trip. Be safe out there. And be kind to people, you have no idea what people are going through. Love you.

Food is outstanding. Prices are fair. Variety has something for everyone. Anthony is a great cook and comes out to visit with customers when he has a minute.. Everyone is friendly! Easy parking. Clean and convenient! Coming back soon for the Oysters.

I saw a couple reviews on social media and read the Yelp comments so I decided to take the 90 minute drive from Charlotte for the "soul" purpose of trying this restaurant. It wasn't a huge place but it has a welcoming appearance. Not a lot of seating so you may want to get it to go and have a picnic somewhere. I arrived right at noon on Saturday when they opened So I ate there. My thought process was to get in early before they start running out of stuff; and also, I may need the rest of the day to burn those calories. I was not disappointed. The food was phenomenal and the service was stellar. Great value for the money. A huge step up from all the steambag seafood places popping up in Charlotte for no reason. Everything was seasoned beautifully. The owner came out and introduced himself and we had a pleasant conversation. If you're either on a budget or want to splurge like I did you will have a great dining experience. Fried clams, hush puppies, lobster, shrimp Mac n cheese, fried crab cake, cabbage (not yet on the menu), fried shrimp, steamed shrimp, turkey sausage (thank you!) all 10 out of 10. Perfectly cooked collards but also not on the menu yet. Maybe too much vinegar for my taste but otherwise seasoned great. 8 Make an effort to get to this place... Great job to the team over there!

In an effort to break up our drive between Durham and Charlotte, we decided to eat dinner in Greensboro. I looked for places on yelp, door dash and Google. It was destiny that we decided to try this place. The commercial seafood boil places that have over saturated the market literally make me sick. I can't digest the food. We were wanting seafood and our hunger would have accepted average tastes, but fortunately for us, average does not apply here. The feeling and energy as soon as you open the door is, you at your favorite cousin's house that throws DOWN!! The staff and owner were so welcoming, fun and full of personality. The food was epic from the first bite. Real crab with real lump meat. And that erethang sauce that you can put on erethang is something worth ordering a bottle to take home. The shrimp were cooked to perfection, plump and juicy! Not over saturated with oils and fats, just perfectly seasoned! The owner, Anthony, came to our table a sat with us for a short while. He shared that his secret ingredient is love. I told him I could taste it! Y'all come out here and support Anthony at Seafood Destiny and feed your palate its dreams!

    George's Seafood Hoagie

Once a rarity in Greensboro, the seafood boil concept has taken off during the past two years, and Seafood Destiny is a good exemplar thereof. An outgrowth of owner Anthony Knotts's backyard boils, the restaurant offers various combinations of crab, shrimp, corn, turkey sausage, lobster, and potatoes. Many of these items are also available a la carte, as are shrimp mac and cheese and green beans, and there are a few fish and pasta offerings as well. There's even a George Floyd Boil, whose proceeds partially go toward a college scholarship for African-American men. As tempting as a full-blown boil was, I opted for something better-suited for one person: the George's Seafood Hoagie. A lunch-only offering, its price tag seemed ridiculous ($18.95 for a sandwich?!), but the pictures shared via the restaurant's social media made it too tempting to pass up. While Seafood Destiny does offer online ordering, it doesn't operate in the way that you'd expect. Instead of selecting a pick-up time, you select a check-in time, and your food is made-to-order upon your arrival. While this ensures freshness, it is also likely to try the patience of the hungry, and I can only imagine what the wait times are without the order-ahead option. Fortunately, I didn't have a particularly long wait (maybe fifteen minutes after arrival), and the sandwich that I was handed by the friendly, hard-working counter staff was worth every penny. The best way to describe George's Seafood Hoagie is a po boy on steroids. It's a roll generously stuffed with shrimp and crab and lobster and pickles and slathered with spicy-sweet house-made red "Errythang" sauce. It comes with an equally ample portion of thinly sliced herbed potatoes. Hyperbolic as it sounds, every bite was bursting with flavor. This is not an easy sandwich to eat - you'll need two hands and several napkins - but it is well worth the endeavor. When you'll actually get your food is a guessing game best not played when hungry, and cheap eats these are not, but for the seafood connoisseur, Seafood Destiny is a must-try.

By far...The Best Seafood in Greensboro!!! Yesterday they offered Free Food for 1st Responders! This was a great event!! Mind you...I've eaten here before prior to this event and the food is Magnificent!! It was my first time trying Broiled Fish. Yes - I would get this again!! It was even better reheated for dinner. Everything melted in my mouth!! Thank You Seafood Destiny for what you do for the community...and for providing home tasting food.

I had the Seafood Shrimp Broil, and Hush Puppies.

I'm from Ohio and down here on business. I like to try different places with more of the mom and pop style atmosphere. Going in I wasn't sure what to think, but we hit the jackpot! The food was excellent, I had the Shrimp Broil. The staff/owner was great, very friendly and after finishing our meal we had a pleasant conversation. It is definitely a must try!

I really enjoyed the customer service here. We were greeted from the door and given the full breakdown of the menu. The owners and staff are very polite. I ordered a crab cake and unfortunately this was the last one bc it was truly delicious! It was flavorful, flaky and packed with crab meat. They have combined with another local lemonade entrepreneur and they sell that lemonade here. I went with the mango lemonade. It was delicious. All the food here was really good.Try the sauces here, they really pair well with the seafood. I d return even though it was a bit expensive. Portions are great though. More than enough for 2 meals.

The food at Seafood Destiny is 5 stars all the way! I've had the pleasure of experiencing their food twice in the past two months and both times have been fantastic. The first time I enjoyed the George Floyd Broil; 2 snow crab clusters, 8 shrimp, two pieces of corn, turkey sausage, and potatoes. It was a hit and we loved it. This evening I had the Waddell's Crab Cake Broil; 2 crab cakes, 8 shrimp, two pieces of corn, turkey sausage, and potatoes. The crab cakes were good, I absolutely love the shrimp and the sausage (tastes like a mild kielbasa) and the corn is cooked perfectly. The red skinned potatoes are sliced, seasoned nicely and were cooked well. This time around we ordered some yeast rolls and they were so soft and very salty; we thought they were delicious. We also sampled the shrimp mac & cheese; the seasoning was good, almost like a Cajun spice and the topping was tasty. We all enjoyed picking at it. I really like this place, I'm looking forward to my next experience. Thank you!

Best crab cakes in Greensboro. All meat and well seasoned. Good flavor alternative to the other seafood restaurants in Greensboro. Milder non salty garlic flavors with a variety of dipping sauces if you want. I'm not a fan of the lobster tail. They bake it and it comes out tough and dry. But I enjoy the sliced potatoes and sausage. Asparagus and/or green beans perfectly seasoned and cooked. They are slow on service. I called in an order for one lunch special 30 mins ahead of time and still had to wait 20 mins after my expected time for my food. I don't know if they had multiple call in orders but I was the only customer in the restaurant. I will go back, however I will plan my time accordingly.

The shrimp cocktail was tasty but the shrimp are extremely small and only 6 so definitely not a shareable. I had the chargrilled oysters and they had great potential. All the flavors were there but they were left a bit too long to cook and half my order was burnt. The soup was phenomenal, as was the peel and eat shrimp. I would love to go back on a day that isn't as hectic and hope for better oyster. The potato salad did make up for a couple of the black shells.

This is not only my top seafood boil bag place in the city butttt this is also where I go when I'm craving raw oysters like tonight. My hands are always messy here so I'm never able to get photos but I don't think I need evidence of the glutinous activities I divulge in here. Tonight I had a dozen and a half of oysters for my starter with garlic butter and lemon pepper boil sauce on the side & extra extra lemons and let me tell you they did not disappoint. They're usually bigger but it is winter so I won't complain. The bar is always hit or miss hence the missing star and tonight it was a miss for me. I order the gone fishing fish bowl and asked for extra sour it was extremely flat and felt like it was missing something. They definitely didn't add the extra sour either. I gave the drink to my companion as not to waste but it wasn't worth it. For my boil bar I had craw fish and green mussels in Gallic butter and Cajun hot with a side of rice and eggs. It was phenomenal per usual. Very consistent and delicious. The restaurant was great tonight. Friday. On the weekends it can get extremely loud when they are doing live music. Those are my least favorite nights. You have to yell over the music to hear the person right next to you. But tonight the music was at an appropriate volume. Between excellent service, from the host to the kitchen staff, and being a bright, cheery place decorated in a modern farmhouse feel (only complaint is the HARD seating), we love this place. The food is always delicious and seasoned perfectly with FLAVOR. For the appetizer, the Salad Pizza is absolutely scrumptious and was recommended by our server our first visit here last year. Honestly, it keeps bringing us back. The flavors are incredible. It has feta, mozzarella, topped with organic greens, shaved onions, tossed in a lemon/dijon dressing with shaved parmesan. It's a flavor bomb in the mouth. The meatloaf, is to die for. If you're a meatloaf eater this is for you. It's so tender and juicy and perfectly seasoned. Melts in your mouth and the sauce on top is the perfect blend of sweet and savory to top it off. For my two sides this time I chose the fried brussels sprouts and the greens. The greens are always seasoned perfectly and the brussels sprouts were crispy and full of flavor. They tasted even better dipped in my meatloaf sauce so that was a win-win. My boyfriend had the special which was short ribs. For his two sides, he had greens and green beans. The short rib was perfectly tender and absolutely delicious full of flavor and moist for him. The green beans and the greens were also perfect as well full of flavor, just enough fat and butter. It's a great little date spot or a family dinner. They also have outdoor seating covered with umbrellas. There's a bar inside with a TV if you choose to go watch sports and the food here is always on point full of flavor and makes you want to come back and try more things on the menu. We started out with cocktails. I had a Hendricks dry martini straight up (it was delicious) and my wife had a Don't Call Me Sweetie which is mix of Hendrick's Gin, Lemon, Cucumber, Basil, Simple, Saline 15. It is very citrus heavy, so be advised. She had them cut it with a bit of cranberry to offset the citrus. For main courses, my wife had the grilled salmon and she chose sautéed garlic spinach and wasabi slaw as her sides. I ordered the shrimp and grits and my side was blackened green beans. Let's talk main course first. My wife's salmon was terrific. Flaky and moist and very tasty. My shrimp and grits was unique because it was a real balance between large pieces of shrimp and the grits. Many times you'll order this dish and end up with a pile of grits with some shrimp sprinkled on top. This version is very tasty and a really nice balance of flavors. The Cajun seasonings have it some kick, but it did not overpower. The side dishes are where we had a couple of surprises. First off the sautéed spinach was really delicious, but my wife's wasabi slaw was bland. It's a huge shocker because when you see the word wasabi, you expected to have some Asian kick to it. This did not. It was hard to even identify that it had wasabi in it. That was a disappointment. The surprise was the blackened green beans. They actually were one of the stars of the show. Their flavor and texture was just awesome. We could've ordered a huge bowl of it and eaten all of it. While it didn't need it, there was a dipping aïoli on the side, just in case we wanted to add that to the green bean experience. As I mentioned off the start, Fishbones is a very casual experience. It's very pub-like in that way. We really loved it and the wait staff, which is a team approach as anyone who passes you makes sure you're doing OK, were kind, upbeat and helpful. Even with the bland slaw, we can't lower our rating because overall the experience was terrific. We will definitely come back.

Husband and I popped in for a week night dinner after doing some holiday shopping. It's a small, but very cute place. Can sit at the bar or at one of the high top tables. I enjoy sitting by the fish tank they have toward the back. I love their peel and eat shrimp, so we decided to get a pound as an appetizer. These shrimp are the big guys and I highly recommend asking for the Old Bay seasoning on them. I tried to limit my use of the melted butter (of course yum) which wasnt too hard as their cocktail sauce is pretty darn good. The balance of sweet, spicy, and tangy in their preparation is spot on. For entrees we went with two of their most popular dishes. Hubby ordered the farm-raised catfish. This dish comes with certain sides but you can customize, he got the slaw and blackened green beans. I got the blackened ahh tuna medium rare which comes with your choice of two sides. I went for corn and the blackened green beans. My tuna was perfectly prepared and hit the spot. I received two big half pieces of golden yellow corn. It had nice subtle sweetness. Their blackened green beans are a must try. Perfectly seasoned. The creamy dipping sauce is also delish but tried to limit use. This was a lot of food and very healthy. I left plenty full with no guilt. Everything was superb. The service was also very attentive. No issue getting a table on a weeknight. There is something for everyone on the menu. I've never been able to convince myself to get anything but seafood as their specialty, but they do have options for meat-lovers and even some vegetarian and vegan options available. I bet they are good too. Be sure to look at their Facebook page and website to see their weekly Specials. He's going through a lot with lack of workers. That explained a lot. He is very hospitable if you take the time to talk to him. I got home and sat down to eat. The Cole slaw was very watery- not my cup of tea. I was surprised to see purple juices from the purple cabbage that's in the cole slaw as well. I tasted my whiting, ordered as lemon pepper.
