    Weekend Special

Yummy!!! I ordered the Weekend Special with crablegs, a lobster, shrimp, potatoes and corn on the cob!! And the mild garlic sauce. It was so Good. The corn and potatoes dipped in the sauce was just yummy! It's a bit pricey but so worth the cost.

The food and service were good! It was crowded l, but they got us in and out. They had a DJ and played a lot of hit songs, 80s, 90s, and current music. A lot of singling and dancing was involved. The next time I come back, I'll visit again! Oh, our server was a sweetie as well!

The food is AMAZING. Definitely get what you pay for. Omg. The sauce... yummm. It was so much I couldn't even eat it all. I got the Weekend Special with crawfish and mussels. They were fast and the crawfish were huge.

This is my first time having a seafood boil!! We went at around 6:45pm and there was no wait. We were sat down and our waiter was so friendly! He said if we have any questions we can ask and I did have a few that he answered well. For my boil I had the headless shrimp, lobster tail, and sausage with Cajun and garlic butter sauce mild spice. My girlfriend had blue crab and crawfish with all of the sauces at mild spice. I had never had lobster before I was so excited! Our food was out QUICK! Like seriously, we ordered and my girlfriend went to the bathroom and the food was back before she got back!!!! It came out piping hot too. I was not disappointed at all with the lobster tail, or any of the boil for that matter. My girlfriend and I agree that oddly enough, the potatoes were one of the stars of the dish, i don't know what they do but man they are delicious. It was a nice atmosphere, I was amused by the light projecting the logo onto the floor. Overall, I really like this place! The only complaint is I think they were having a staffing issue? Just seemed like not enough people out on the floor, we ended up getting another waiter (both were super nice) because they were spread thin.

First and foremost, I was extremely skeptical about dining here after it was suggested for the group. However, I was a team player and went along with the suggestion. This place is pretty spacious. There's a dining area and a bar area. We were greeted upon entry, and customer service was pretty good.  Again, I don't come to these places often. The prices were the prices, and it's seafood, so we already know how that goes. When it comes to the bags, you can get any of the daily specials no matter the day. You can add to it or remove it, but you cannot swap. They actually have a large menu. I ordered the Thursday special, which came with two small snow crab clusters and no head  half a pound of shrimp with the juicy seasoning, which is all of the seasonings that they have, which are garlic, butter, cajun, and lemon pepper. My spice level was mild, but it was pretty spicy.  The bag came with two corn on the cobs and potatoes. I added half a pound of pork sausage for an additional $7.99+ tax. I do feel as though the sausage could have accompanied the bag with the corn and potatoes. It did not take long for us to get our food. The snow crab leg clusters were a pretty decent size. The seafood bag was amazing. The sauce and spice level were on point. I enjoyed every moment of the cry. I wish they wouldn't also provide a cracker, however, after a couple of legs. I was on the roll. The only thing is that I wish it was cleaner in there; they had a couple of dead flies on the windowsill, which was disturbing.

The hostess was very polite and seated us right away. Our waitress was for nominal. Both baskets were served hot and fresh. The drink was delicious and STRONG! (SIP IT ) very sweet but powerful. Cootos to the bartender and thank goodness we were sharing. The ambiance was very pleasant and comforting. Plenty of tv to watch the game if it's football night or any other game of your choice. We enjoyed ourselves. Cootos to the chef excellent job .

Ask the Community - Red Crab - Greensboro

How does one place a take out order? I emailed the info. email address on website and asked if they did take out orders. I got the response that "Unfortunately, we offer dine in or to go orders only." I am very confused!

This place have the worst service and people that work there are rude, not the brightest. Save you money go someplace else

    Do they have take out?

They have take out but fair warning I heard a few take out customers complain their order was wrong while I waiting to be seated so I would definitely take a moment to check and be sure you received the right order before you left.

    What are the prices like?

    Expect to pay about $20/person.

The place overall seemed clean and bright but there were a couple tables that looked like needed to be wiped off. Everything on the menu looked pretty good. I decided to give the catfish nuggets a try with a side of Mac and cheese and collard greens. The nuggets were a lot better than I was expecting. The fish was so flaky and the breading was the perfect about of crispiness. The collard greens were cooked well but were a little bland. Wish it also included a protein or something in it. The mac and cheese tasted a lot better than it looked. It was wasn't great but it was kind of what you'd expect of a fast casual spot. I really liked all the lemonade flavors they had. All of them were pretty good and I definitely recommend trying them out if you're not afraid of a little sugar.

I threw the suggestion out to Sally and she thought it would be fun to try something new so she picked me up, we got on Gate City Boulevard and drove west until we found this place in a small strip mall. The outside won't necessarily draw your attention, but once you step inside this simple takeout/ dine in spot, the experience is totally different. As soon as we walked in we were approached by a gentleman who must have been the owner. He was incredibly kind and appreciative of our patronage. He explained all the dishes and a little bit about the company itself. This guy was full of pride about Seafood Destiny and I was impressed. Besides dining inside, they offer takeout and catering services. He was particularly proud of some of his dishes and when he told me that the crab legs was a special tonight for $20, I knew that was the best fit for me. You pay at the counter after you choose your selection and then have a seat and wait for your food to arrive. We were the only ones in the restaurant, although I did see a few people pop in for takeout. I could not help but wonder with it being so empty whether the great reviews would match up to what they claimed. I got my Diet Coke from the fountain machine with unlimited refills which always makes me happy. After chatting for a while with Sally, this huge plate came my way. The crab legs special for $20 was amazing. Not only did it have plenty of crab legs, but it came with a half-dozen beautiful shrimp with excellent seasoning, turkey sausage, corn on the cob and delicious scalloped potatoes. I ordered a side of asparagus. Although it was tasty. I don't know if the asparagus was worth $5. On the other hand, the main dish was a real bargain!! The food was delicious. Sally ordered salmon with pasta and loved her dish as well. I just ate and ate and ate and ate and eventually devoured the entire dish. Boy, that was good. No doggy bag here! We were each served a special dipping sauce from the Seafood Destiny. It was sweet and tasty but I was happy to just devour the fish as is. It was well seasoned and scrumptious While we were eating, a young man came out to chat with us. Something told me he was the son of the owner or he was indeed the manager or both lol. We had a nice chat about the place and it's history and he really appreciated our visit and hoped we would spread the word. I will! We arrived at 6:30 and before we knew it it was 8:00 and the place was beginning to close. I devoured my last crab leg, got a refill on my diet Coke and we headed out. Both Sally and I discussed on the way home what a delicious meal that was, how lovely the owners and staff were and what a shame that there not more people in the restaurant. I am hoping that was a fluke on a Tuesday night because Seafood Destiny definitely deserves customers. The place was simple, but the welcoming staff, the good priced seafood meals, the plentiful portions, and most of all, seeing the incredible pride and love the owners put into this place made it a winning combination for me I'm always a big fan of family owned operations and Seafood Destiny deserves your patronage. Whether it's shellfish or salmon or grouper, I highly recommend you head over to this place. As unassuming as it is on the outside, the inside was a delicious and welcoming experience!. I will be back and I hope to see you there!

We ordered drinks and an appetizer and they came out fairly quickly. The Korean BBQ Spring Rolls are very good! Now for the not so good part. We ordered the fish and chips to split- that was all we ordered after the appetizer and it took forever for our order to be brought to the table. We watched a couple tables around us, get their food before us, and they had been seated after us.. The server had to go back and check on our dish a couple times before it finally came out. I will say the fish and the chips were fabulous, but the corn was terrible and should probably not even be included on the dish. It was WAY overcooked and chewy. The coleslaw left quite a bit to be desired as well. No seasoning, no flavor and was just bland. When it says wasabi coleslaw, I am thinking it is going to have a little bit of a kick to it but nothing. They could definitely save themselves some money by eliminating the corn from this dish, make the coleslaw an option as an up charge and could lower the price on the dish in general or add a third piece of fish instead of the corn and coleslaw. Overall, it's definitely the best fish and chips we've had since moving to the area, but I would order it with no corn or coleslaw next time.

We started out with cocktails. I had a Hendricks dry martini straight up (it was delicious) and my wife had a Don't Call Me Sweetie which is mix of Hendrick's Gin, Lemon, Cucumber, Basil, Simple, Saline 15. It is very citrus heavy, so be advised. She had them cut it with a bit of cranberry to offset the citrus. For main courses, my wife had the grilled salmon and she chose sautéed garlic spinach and wasabi slaw as her sides. I ordered the shrimp and grits and my side was blackened green beans. Let's talk main course first. My wife's salmon was terrific. Flaky and moist and very tasty. My shrimp and grits was unique because it was a real balance between large pieces of shrimp and the grits. Many times you'll order this dish and end up with a pile of grits with some shrimp sprinkled on top. This version is very tasty and a really nice balance of flavors. The Cajun seasonings have it some kick, but it did not overpower. The side dishes are where we had a couple of surprises. First off the sautéed spinach was really delicious, but my wife's wasabi slaw was bland. It's a huge shocker because when you see the word wasabi, you expected to have some Asian kick to it. This did not. It was hard to even identify that it had wasabi in it. That was a disappointment. The surprise was the blackened green beans. They actually were one of the stars of the show. Their flavor and texture was just awesome. We could've ordered a huge bowl of it and eaten all of it. While it didn't need it, there was a dipping aïoli on the side, just in case we wanted to add that to the green bean experience. As I mentioned off the start, Fishbones is a very casual experience. It's very pub-like in that way. We really loved it and the wait staff, which is a team approach as anyone who passes you makes sure you're doing OK, were kind, upbeat and helpful. Even with the bland slaw, we can't lower our rating because overall the experience was terrific. We will definitely come back.

Unfortunately, this visit was a huge disappointment. We've had incredible experiences at another Full Moon location. Unfortunately, this visit was a huge disappointment. We ordered grilled oysters, a pound of shrimp (peeled and deveined), and a half-pound of king crab legs, items we're very familiar with and order often. The grilled oysters didn't seem grilled at all. They looked strange, had very little butter, and were almost completely flavorless. The shrimp was another letdown. It was under-seasoned, wasn't peeled or deveined as ordered, and was gritty. We also never received the corn that was supposed to come with the boil. We could have mentioned it, but by that point we were already so disappointed that we didn't bother. The king crab legs were clearly not fresh. The shells were so old and pliable that they bent instead of cracking properly, and the inner membrane stuck to the meat. We didn't eat it. They made another order which was the same. Our waitress said they don't receive orders for the KC often so they may have been old. Ummmmm! The service didn't help the experience. The staff seemed standoffish from the beginning. Our food was dropped off without any explanation or follow-up, and we had to ask for everything we needed instead of anyone checking on us proactively. However our waitress was happy to help us remove the crab from our bill and she was pleasant. We know this isn't representative of every Full Moon Oyster Bar because we've had fantastic meals at another location. That's what makes this experience even more disappointing. We were celebrating a special occasion and left wishing we had chosen somewhere else.

I'm so thankful I thought of it last minute, after leaving the gym!! I called to see if they could accommodate two in an hour & a half. The atmosphere is busy, lots of people chatting, but you're still pretty much able to hold your own conversations. Jake was our delightful British (I think) waiter. He brought us our beverages and described what had to be 5-6 specials for the evening. Everything sounded delightful, but I've been wanting that fried flounder since day one! Jake even brought us a sample bowl of hush puppies with butter. YUMMM!!! The dinner came within 10-17 minutes, nice & hot! Everything was pretty tasty. My flounder was a little bland so I requested some salt & pepper to add more flavor. I got the chili sauce on the side because the fish is the star, not to be covered with Thai chili sauce. Todd was cleaning empty tables near us and stopped by to make sure we enjoyed our meal and would come back. We definitely will!!! Thank you Todd for helping make our girls night dinner delightful!
