I love red crab and I wish I had photos but I could pull up a laundry list of card charges for proof. This is not only my top seafood boil bag place in the city butttt this is also where I go when I'm craving raw oysters like tonight. My hands are always messy here so I'm never able to get photos but I don't think I need evidence of the glutinous activities I divulge in here. Tonight I had a dozen and a half of oysters for my starter with garlic butter and lemon pepper boil sauce on the side & extra extra lemons and let me tell you they did not disappoint. They're usually bigger but it is winter so I won't complain. The bar is always hit or miss hence the missing star and tonight it was a miss for me. I order the gone fishing fish bowl and asked for extra sour it was extremely flat and felt like it was missing something. They definitely didn't add the extra sour either. I gave the drink to my companion as not to waste but it wasn't worth it. For my boil bar I had craw fish and green mussels in Gallic butter and Cajun hot with a side of rice and eggs. It was phenomenal per usual. Very consistent and delicious. The restaurant was great tonight. Friday. On the weekends it can get extremely loud when they are doing live music. Those are my least favorite nights. You have to yell over the music to hear the person right next to you. But tonight the music was at an appropriate volume. We came with family to celebrate a birthday. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. Our waiter took our drink orders and then our food. The food came out and the orders were all correct. My only issues are 1. The handicap parking is away from the door and the non handicap parking is closer to the door. This needs to be changed. 2. They only allow 2 - 3 checks per table. This needs to be posted because it causes confusion. We were a party of 17 and this caused a major delay in the processing of the bill. It caused a further delay in us having to wait on the waiter to process the transactions. We waited 20 minutes longer for him to try to separate the check into 3, than it would have taken to process our individual families. Then we had to wait again for him to process the 3 transactions. Had this been known ahead of time we all could have come with cash. Make sure if you come to this establishment to bring cash!!!! read more

This is my first time having a seafood boil!! We went at around 6:45pm and there was no wait. We were sat down and our waiter was so friendly! He said if we have any questions we can ask and I did have a few that he answered well. For my boil I had the headless shrimp, lobster tail, and sausage with Cajun and garlic butter sauce mild spice. My girlfriend had blue crab and crawfish with all of the sauces at mild spice. I had never had lobster before I was so excited! Our food was out QUICK! Like seriously, we ordered and my girlfriend went to the bathroom and the food was back before she got back!!!! It came out piping hot too. I was not disappointed at all with the lobster tail, or any of the boil for that matter. My girlfriend and I agree that oddly enough, the potatoes were one of the stars of the dish, i don't know what they do but man they are delicious. It was a nice atmosphere, I was amused by the light projecting the logo onto the floor. Overall, I really like this place! The only complaint is I think they were having a staffing issue? First and foremost, I was extremely skeptical about dining here after it was suggested for the group. However, I was a team player and went along with the suggestion. This place is pretty spacious. There's a dining area and a bar area. We were greeted upon entry, and customer service was pretty good.  Again, I don't come to these places often. The prices were the prices, and it's seafood, so we already know how that goes. When it comes to the bags, you can get any of the daily specials no matter the day. You can add to it or remove it, but you cannot swap. They actually have a large menu. I ordered the Thursday special, which came with two small snow crab clusters and no head  half a pound of shrimp with the juicy seasoning, which is all of the seasonings that they have, which are garlic, butter, cajun, and lemon pepper. My spice level was mild, but it was pretty spicy.  The bag came with two corn on the cobs and potatoes. I added half a pound of pork sausage for an additional $7.99+ tax. I do feel as though the sausage could have accompanied the bag with the corn and potatoes. It did not take long for us to get our food. The snow crab leg clusters were a pretty decent size. The seafood bag was amazing. The sauce and spice level were on point. I enjoyed every moment of the cry. I wish they wouldn't also provide a cracker, however, after a couple of legs. I was on the roll. The only thing is that I wish it was cleaner in there; they had a couple of dead flies on the windowsill, which was disturbing. read more

Our server was really helpful, we were in town for the Junior Olympics and being a person who like seafood - seafood boils are my thing. The wait time wasn't bad for the food had to wait for the drinks about 45 mins but food came on time. Must say it was a bit salty and not like the others . We have been to the Outwest several times. Our meals, prime rib and filet, have been outstanding. The prime rib was a nice thick cut and cooked/spiced to perfection. Whoever was answering the phone at 9:30 pm on 1/15/2026 had really bad customer service and was extremely rude which was unwarranted. The person refused to give their name as well as the "manager" on duty once I picked up my order. I usually have great customer service here but I was highly disappointed by the rude employee who "helped" me tonight 0/10. The shrimp with corn and potatoes were delicious z the staff were friendly, and the music was not too loud. However, the bathroom was not remodeled when the restaurant was remodeled last year. It is disappointing that the bathroom was not as clean as it should have been. Plus, the handle on the main female bathroom door is barely intact. I let it slide the last few visits, but I'm not buying it any longer. Fix that door knob! There's no excuse for it, especially when a lay member can install it. 6/27/21: We got our order via DoorDash which I usually can't stand because I hate soggy food. We ordered the fried shrimp basket with onion rings & the chicken strips basket with onion rings. That's it. The food WAS soggy, but I kinda knew to expect that. The food was warm when it was dropped off. My shrimp basket came with 12 shrimp and LOTS of onion rings. Had I eaten this in the restaurant, I'm sure I would've loved it more. They were juicy & I loved the coating on them. The chicken strips were bland and kind of dry, but my son scarfed them down anyway. My main issue was that they didn't send any sauce at all...no cocktail, ketchup, ranch...NOTHING! I went to the Red Crap on Gatecity in Greensboro NC. The food was good. I got the fried shrimp and Cajun fries. I was in a party of 13. Once the waitress came over, she said that we would be able to get only two receipts. Most of us were from separate households. And, some of us prefer to file or scan our receipts. It would have been lovely to know this beforehand. The waitress said she would send the manager over. The manager was not very professional. As she was talking, her tone of voice and nail clacking were rather annoying and condensing. The waitress was nice.
