Very happy with my experience at Seafood Grill. The staff graciously let us switch our tables a couple of times because of bees bothering us outside. They offer a nice variety of Mexican and Italian dishes. I also enjoyed the bruschetta they start every table off with. The food was very tasty especially the burrito which was uniquely pressed like a panini. The food is also very affordable here, which is refreshing. On the house, we got bruschetta, they were ok. As an appetizer we had stuffed avocado with crab, which was good but too salty! I had the paella& it was so good, idk how I finished it because it was a nice portion & it was so good! I couldn't walk! My husband had the seafood trio? He liked it. The drinks were good, strong. Hate to say It but I have been back multiple times and It hasn't been the same. My latest experience was that I ordered chicken tacos and I received raw chicken. I notified the waiter and he had asked if I would like something else instead I said no thank you I gave them back my side of rice and my chicken tacos that I ordered. When the bill came he proceeded to charge me for the side of rice and guacamole that I asked for that I did not eat because I did not feel comfortable eating anything after receiving raw chicken. He ended up taking it off the bill but I feel more should have been done. It's a shame I really loved this place when they open but it's been downhill for the last year read more

My husband and I wanted to try a new place. Definitely would not recommend going here. The food was not good at all. My husband had the tongue tacos and we were surprised it was only 2 tacos and a super small salad on the side. I got the paella and it was the worst I've ever had. Barely any seafood just a whole bunch of rice. The place is pricey and charges 18% gratuity automatically! The drinks were good but they will give you the worst hangover. Not going back. My only complaint is sitting back there just be prepared to get eaten alive by then knat looking bugs that bite like mosquitoes! Sitting by water has it's pros and cons lol. We wanted to eat at otto's and fortunate for us, they were closed. I definitely will be coming back to this place. The oysters were so fresh and big we ordered a second order. I ordered the linguini pescatore which was amazing. All six of us ordered different entre's and they were all winners. My father ordered the three musketeers and the filet mignon was perfect. My kids are usually horrible eaters. They ordered fried seafood, red snapper and salmon. It was all fresh and cooked perfectly. The waiter service was excellent. The baked clams could have done with a few minutes more under the broiler and some more topping but the sauce was worth asking for a take-out container! My lunch partner totally enjoyed the paella. Strange that when making a reservation, I had requested outdoor seating and was told there "couldn't be any guarantee" of an outside table. Stopped in on a Monday night. Very nice place next to the canals before the main strip. Dining room was nicely decorated, large screen TVs on each end, large windows. We ordered an appetizer, calamari, and a Fraser salad and there was time before the entrees arrived to digest a little. I don't like when the food is served too quickly. They served warm Italian bread after the appetizer before the entree as well. My hubby had the paella and I ordered the walnut crusted sea bass. Both were very good. A group of teenagers on bicycles came in. They waited with me for the woman to come back. When she finally did and handed me a menu, she took their drink orders for a total of $9 while I stood there. She disappeared again and as the teenagers and I were waiting several more minutes, a group of people showed up for dinner and looked around for the hostess. We're all standing there waiting. We were waiting for this place to open and came with 4 people. Inside has been updates a little bit. It's hot a nice atmosphere. The owner introduced herself. Her name is Marilyn. She's very gracious and sweet. We started out with chicken quesadillas. It was a nice size stuffed with chicken and cheese. The seance was spicy and really good. The guacamole was delicious. Their burritos are huge and jam packed with food. I loved the ground beef. The paella had lots of seafood; my husband enjoyed. The chicken francaise was delicious as well. This establishment used to be Tony Cubans, it changed to this place before I tried it. I some reviews and I figured I would give it a try. The street view is nondescript when you first walk it there is a bar on the left and then you enter the dining room on the right. This establishment has outdoor seating in the back which was a wonderful surprise. It was very welcoming and perfect for a summer evening. They had love music and people were dancing and having a wonderful time. The music was not overwhelmingly loud which was nice. I am a vegetarian so what I can eat is somewhat limited. They had a number of dishes that were offered with meat and the waiter said they could make it just vegetable for me which was great to hear. We started with the guacamole with chips, it was standard the guac was nicely flavored. For entrees I ordered a vegetable quesadilla and my husband had the blackened salmon. While we were waiting for our entrees the owner came by to introduce herself and check on the service. I like to see the owners engaging with patrons. My quesadilla was good, and very big I could only eat half and brought the other half home. I believe it was filled with squash broccoli carrots tomatoes and a few other vegs. My husband liked his salmon and it was prepared well. We will definitely be back before the end of the summer to try other items on the menu. read more

After calling 6 other restaurants, it was literally the only place that would accept a reservation to guarantee outdoor seating and allow dogs in the outdoor area. Afterwards, I looked them up on Yelp and was admittedly a *little* frightened we were going to get more of a red lobster experience than a nice on the water dining experience but to my absolute delight we were beyond satisfied with the experience! The indoor dining is nice and is clean, floor to ceiling windows so you stil get water views. The outdoor patio was gorgeous. Bistro lights, water views, center bar, umbrellas / coverings at most tables. Our waitress was very sweet and efficient. Food came out fast, was hot and delicious. We ordered: Apps: *calamari *mozzarella sticks Dinner: *Chicken fajitas *Three musketeers (lobster, filet mignon, tilapia and vegetables (side of fries) *Blackened salmon with roasted potatoes and vegetables Everyone at the table loved their mixed drinks as well (strawberry margaritas and some cinnamon toast drink) Overall a really great experience and I would definitely go there again read more

So... the location and ambience was great and we had a good feeling with the Dj playing and energy high but boy were we wrong. We initially had a reservation for 830 and even called several times to confirm. We arrived at 815 but were told that it was made for 7 after we called and confirmed with them. We, then even had to proceed to wait another 30 minutes before we got sat. When we sat, we had noticed a dirty cup and asked for a new cup, we did not get this extra cup for 20 minutes. We then proceeded to ask for water 3 times to 3 different people. It was mind boggling because I saw AT LEAST 7 front of house employees for at most 10 tables. We placed an order for drinks and food. The drinks came moderately fast but it was only a bottle of beer. We ordered some appetizers and entrees and for 1 hour and 15 minutes we had not seen any of it except for some complimentary bread. We had got so tired of asking our server where the food was and being told that it was coming but eventually we all finally decided to leave. I would never justify leaving but with such a lack of action and promise we had decided to leave after paying for whatever we had consumed. The only reason why I will give this place 2 stars and not one is because the Dj was playing some good music and our server seemed compassionate. Returning from mandatory closing could be a reason for what ever happened but I really do hope they can provide better service in the future. The outside ambiance is beautiful, right on the water with a pretty lit up bar and a couple of people dancing salsa. The paella was awesome but I wasn't a big fan of the ceviche. It was mostly tomatoes . Also, the bar staff needs a little more training because they made my moms "white Russian" straight up taste like milk and we tried to get it revised and still tasted the same. Ate here Saturday evening 8/3. We've been coming to this restaurant's location for quite some time all the way back to when it was owned and run by the same people who own PitStop in Merrick. Glad to see it has reopened with new owners. We had guacamole and a Capri salad. Both were excellent. Our main courses were whole red snapper and paella. Both were a great choice. The paella included half a small lobster and the meat was very sweet. Service was good and we plan to come back at a happy hour and try the tacos. Table seating was great, out side and by the water with calming views and live music (Saturday night).
