This is about to be my go-to summer spot. The outdoor seating is everything! It's very much giving brunch day party vibes. There's the perfect balance of shaded areas, sunny spots, and that waterfront view... you really won't want to leave. And honestly, people didn't. I went on opening night and guests pulled up around 5 PM and stayed well into 10 (me included lol), which naturally caused a delay in seating. The restaurant was completely packed (a great problem to have), which did also create some delays with food coming out of the kitchen. With it being night one, I'm giving grace here and fully expect things to smooth out. Now let's talk food.... My friend loved the wings, another enjoyed their steak, and the burger got great reviews too. I ordered the calamari, which was said to come out with a Caribbean-chili spiked marinara. The marinara was missing the spice part but, the calamari itself was perrrrfectly cooked...a nice crunch on the outside but somehow melted in my mouth. It was unreal. It could certainly use that kick of extra flavor and yet I'd still absolutely order it again. The shrimp tacos were the star of the night which is saying something because I ordered them to go and it was still delicious...how much more If I had them fresh out. It's nothing fancy, just simple flavors executed well. I had the after dark as my drink. The ingredients made it sound like a rum punch, but I'm not sure because it leans on the sweeter side. so if you like a sweeter cocktail, that's definitely your drink. One of my favorite things about this spot is the versatility of the crowd and vibe. You've got families dressed down dining together with their kids, and at the same time, a lively bar scene with people dressed up and ready to mingle. It's the kind of place where I'd feel comfortable bringing my daughter during the day and come back with my girls at night. That bar area definitely had some eye candy...single mix up coming soon lol Shoutout to Jimmy, our server, who made sure we were taken care of despite the opening night hustle and bustle...it truly made a huge difference in my experience. Overall, I'll definitely be back and bringing friends with me. The space is beautiful, the vibe is versatile, and once they find their rhythm, this place is going to be a problem (in the best way).

Di Edge Waterfront Bar & Kitchen is a new restaurant near Nautical Mile serving American classics and good vibes. The restaurant located on the water is beautiful inside and a perfect summer spot for a meet up with friends, date, or whatever. The service was attentive and welcoming. The menu is quite limited but appears there is something for everyone. With the vibe it gives I was expecting more variety, but all good. I ordered a turkey burger w/ fries and a cocktail called After Dark. If you don't go for nothing else - go for that drink and the ambiance/vibes. It's sweet but goodt! I would go back to try a few other items on the menu, but again the setup and music makes it a cool spot worth visiting!

Di Edge has potential but also some areas that can be improved in our opinion. Came on a Friday evening around 5:15 pm for Happy Hour. Hostess was very friendly and answered a few quick questions. We appreciated that they offer some drink specials and a limited discounted food menu for Happy Hour. The happy hour food option deal (1 signature cocktail + one of 5 food options for $25) of the turkey burger, wings, chicken sandwich was a good deal. The choices of a house salad or caesar salad without chicken included not as much. We were one of two tables seated and there was a group of people hanging out by the DJ. It was nice they allow you to sit any where for Happy hour not just at the bar or at least this time since it was not busy. Drinks took a few more minutes to arrive than we would have expected being it was not busy but no problem we enjoyed the nice view of the canal. We also checked out the full menu and while the drink options have some creativity the regular menu is lacking "the edge" that others mentioned they had expected. I do realize the menu is online but not everyone previews menus ahead of going out. Also the online menu does not show prices. Maybe a few more shellfish options for a water front place would be helpful. I will say the vibe of the DJ was perfect for Di Edge. Not too loud for Happy hour at least and good song choices for the location, "crowd" etc. The food and drinks were solid. Mango habenaro wings (requested well done) were excellent. Perfect cook, meatiness, the right amount of delicious sauce. Chicken sandwich was good, fries very good. Would definitely order these options again there just wasn't a ton else on the menu that "excited us" but maybe more options will come in the future. My main issue is the check. (see photo). I don't prefer when restaurants include the tip for under 6-8 people (there was two of us) but that's their choice so not a big deal. However, they include the tip and then at the bottom list suggested tips for 18%, 20%, etc IN ADDITION to the 18% included in your subtotal. This could easily result in someone double tipping if they aren't paying attention. I will say the server told us tip is included and I appreciate that but what if she had been busier and forgotten? I understand this may be how their billing system operates but I can see this being an issue for customers. Service was ok overall, waitress checked on us once but we no one came over to fill out water or remove plates until the very end. Will try again down the line and I do hope they are successful at this location.

Not a very good experience. The food and service were not good. They messed up my order like 3 times. Sorry but just being honest.

For a holiday/waterfront dining experience on the Nautical Mile, I expected pricing to be on the higher side, but I will say the menu itself felt a bit limited for that price point. Still, the restaurant is absolutely a cute spot and definitely one of the nicer looking restaurants in the area with a great atmosphere and lounge vibe. The cocktail menu was honestly one of the highlights of the night. The drinks were well made, flavorful, and fun. You can tell they put thought into their cocktail program and presentation. For appetizers, we ordered the wings, fried shrimp, and crab cake. All three were very good. The wings were flavorful, the shrimp were crispy and fresh, and the crab cake was nicely done as well. For my entrée, I chose the blackened salmon with jasmine rice and vegetables. The salmon itself was cooked nicely and the portion size was solid, though overall the dish was a little on the salty side and felt somewhat simple/minimal for a special holiday prix fixe menu. Service was a little hit or miss. At one point I was brought something completely different from what I ordered. However, it was Mother's Day and the restaurant was clearly very busy, so I can understand the staff possibly being overwhelmed by the holiday crowd. Our server herself was still very sweet and pleasant throughout the evening. Overall, I enjoyed the experience more for the ambiance, drinks, and overall vibe than the actual prix fixe menu. I'd definitely consider going back on a regular night to try their standard dinner menu because I think that would give a better feel for the restaurant outside of the holiday rush.

Great view on a sunny day. In the middle of the restaurant is an outdoor parking area. It doesn't look like many people use it/are allowed to. I personally loved the music- reggae, dancehall, soca, hip-hop & afrobeats but the volume is high so it's not a place for talking. Unfortunately, people don't dance here either, but they do smoke hookah. I don't, but it didnt bother me because we were outside. I did enjoy my steak and potatoes meal. ~$32 and a small portion, no veggies, my friend got her steak with rice and she said the rice was cold. Yikes. This was the most expensive thing on the small menu. We bought a bottle of vodka which came with a bottle girl and sparklers which was fun for the bday vibes. Also, cranberry, pineapple & lemonade mixers. Friends said they liked the burgers and fries. All in all, it seems like a good place to come if you're into the hookah/club scene. If not, stay very far away. Also, celebrity rapper Ghostface Killah was there With a big entourage. Have no idea if this is normal, but no one ran up to him.

Of course Long Island has lots of diners, but they are all unique, and I would say that based on my experience, Imperial is one of the best. I did not want your typical huge diner meal, which is much too much food, so I went with a nice dinner size Mediterranean Salad. The food was excellent - top quality fresh ingredients, put together beautifully and delicious. I was equally impressed by the service. When I travel to New York, I will often run into people who are not particularly friendly or helpful, including many who work at restaurants. This was not the case at all at Imperial. They were kind, and eager to give me a great experience. For a diner, it was not too noisy, and everything was very clean. Prices were very fair too. The only thing lacking .. and I saw this a lot in New York, was non-alcoholic beer. I cannot drink alcohol, and this is something I really enjoy with my meals. Imperial does have a variety of "Mocktails" .. so there are options for folks like me ..but it would be nice to see some beer options for the growing number of people who either cannot drink, or prefer to avoid alcohol. This is definitely a good choice if you are looking for a nice diner. Highly recommended.
