Drinks, entrees and excellent service. A definite restaurant to come back to again and again

This is a restaurant with a view of the water. I recently treated a friend of mine to a birthday lunch here. She had the prix fixe for $28.95: shrimp and corn chowder, grilled salmon with lobster sauce, and carrot cake. She ate all her plates clean. I ordered the lunch special: sautéed soft shell crabs, a la carte. They were unbelievably fresh; but believe it or not, the roasted root vegetables were my favorite part of the meal. The vegetables were a family-style side dish that the two of us shared. They came with our order and were seasoned with parsley, rosemary, olive oil and salt. I could not eat enough of them. The Aperol Spritz was the perfect cocktail to go with my meal. It nicely counteracted the richness of the soft shell crabs. My friend had a glass of soda, which was strongly bubbly. There are not enough superlatives to describe the service, either. Ramon M., the waiter, did an excellent job. There is a parking lot with valet service, so be sure to bring some cash for tipping.

Made a reservation here thinking it was on the water , so when we first entered we were a little disappointed. Old school vibe , cute interior . White table cloth and perfectly dressed waiters . Our waitress Bernice was a doll, she was so helpful with helping me choose a meal , since I'm so indecisive haha Excellent service ! The halibut topped with lobster is out of this world , I can't wait to go back and get it again ! Everything we had was amazing , sadly we skipped on dessert because we were so full but next time !

More of a formal dining experience. White table cloth. Servers in formal attire. I came with someone else. They ordered chicken Marsala and I ordered a tuna salad. Both were delicious. The chicken came with mashed potatoes and broccoli. You're served fresh, hot bread beforehand. I ordered Zinfandel wine, which was delicious. Overall, the food was great. A little pricey but tasty. The crowd here tends to be older like 40+ and it's more family oriented. If you're looking to party, this is not the place.

Stopped in from out of town and was lucky enough to arrive on the lobster special night. A whole two pound lobster, salad and bread basket for $50. I'd never had a whole lobster but I was in for a treat. They make it easier for newbies by serving it open and anything beyond that can be solved by a quick google. There were locals that sat at the bar (usually a sign a place is good) and friendly staff. Small quaint place you probably need a reservation for but I got lucky tonight!

We had an old gift certificate, they honored it and were extremely kind to do so. The waiter Ramon was top notch and a great help with the gift certificate. During restaurant week they had a deal we took advantage of, an appetizer, dinner and dessert for $37 each. We ordered the fried oysters, baked clams, prime rib and stuffed flounder. Everything was great and extremely flavorful. For dessert I got carrot cake and my wife got chocolate lava cake. We don't get out as much as we used to, so we really had a nice time. Great food and staff!

We used to frequent this restaurant and then life got in the way and we finally made it back tonight. The food and service were as good as we recalled. While the menu is not large every single item is mouth watering appealing. Listen carefully to the specials. They are always excellent. Start with baked clams or calamari with sweet chili sauce. By the way the Caesar salad is excellent. My difficult choice tonight was between the Sautéed Soft Shell Crabs and blackened Swordfish. Since Soft Shell Crabs are seasonal I thought that was the way to go. No mistake here. They were absolutely outstanding. Add a side of Burnt Broccoli and sauteed spinach and you are having a great meal. Salmon, Swordfish and Halibut (with lobster on top) are always standouts at this restaurant. Most servers and the bartender have been here for many years and always have a "welcome back" smile. Consistently great. Full bar. Valet parking. The valet has also been there for many years. Obviously employees are treated well and that passes along to the customers.

Another wonderful visit to our fav dining spot in Freeport. Group of 6, with rezzy, settled in for a wonderful dinner at Nautilus Cafe. We were seated immediately and chose a bottle of Chianti to start the festivities. We started with an order of Baked Clams and Calamari...both great but Calamari order was small. They made up for it with the entrees: Jumbo Shrimp Oreganata was delish and prepared perfecto, Strip Steak disappeared quickly so I have to believe it also was great... Pepita Crusted Bronzini Looked great and tasted better. Two orders of Crusted Rare Tuna was terrific...Yum! My special Sword Fish was simply prepared and was awesome! Our sides were Burnt Brocolli, French Fries and Creamed Spinach... This place is awesome in tough times and is highly recommended...And they have valet parking!!! Perfect.....

First time here and happy to be here in person dining inside like old times. The establishment was rather small although it did have a bar area and about 8 to 10 tables inside. I don't know what the capacity seating is outside but when we were there no one was outside because it was late and cooler. The wait staff was very knowledgeable and attentive. I ordered the chowder and a fish special of the day. I can't remember the name, but it was delicious. My friend ordered the Chilean Sea Bass and said it was scrumptious. I had a side of asparagus which was served with a side dipping sauce, butter and a cream mixture. It was delightful and plentiful so I took some home and ate it the next day. We ordered margaritas which were nothing to write home about, but it's not a Mexican restaurant, so I wasn't expecting to be wowed. For dessert, I ordered an apple pie a la mode, which is my favorite and it did not disappoint! I definitely recommend going here for good food and ambiance. The service was outstanding and I will absolutely return!

Our waitress made us feel completely comfortable we were laughing, having side conversations, and genuinely enjoying ourselves all night. By the end of the evening, she even said, "Goodnight, love you!" and quickly laughed saying she didn't mean to say it. That pretty much summed up the vibe of the night friendly, relaxed, and memorable. The food was excellent from start to finish. I had the Caesar salad appetizer, which was very good, and my sister had the calamari, which she said was excellent. For our entrées, we both ordered the chicken parmesan with alavaca sauce, and it was absolutely delicious. To finish the night, we shared the crème brûlée for dessert, and it was the perfect treat. The portion is definitely big enough for two people, so I wouldn't recommend ordering one per person. The location is beautiful and right by the water true to the restaurant's name. The only small thing to note is the parking. There are two parking lots, and the first one is definitely the better option. The second lot leads closer to the waterfront entrance and can feel a little tight and snug when parking. Overall, we had an amazing time and would absolutely go back. Great food, great atmosphere, and even better service.

The service was great the waiters were very helpful with any questions we had and answered all questions when asked. They suggested some dishes and I asked about some I was interested in through pictures I saw on Yelp! Finally I went with the prefix menu which includes soup or salad, drink plus main dish for lunch. I went with the stuffed pork chop which has prosciutto and a side of sautéed veggies. The pork chop was super soft and succulent and the prosciutto was cooked to perfection not salty at all as well as the veggies which were well seasoned. We also ordered the filet fish of Dourada which I have never had before it was so tasty and flaky very nice fish light but filling. It was stuffed with spinach topped with delicious caramelized onions and a side of diced potatoes. The caramelized onions stole the show on this particular dish for real! Shoutout to the chef they did their thing! Last but not least I had dessert which was the highlight of the meal! Poached pear with vanilla ice cream wow simply amazing. Again first time having this type of dessert the pear was sweet but not overbearing and the raspberry sauce was not sour nor sweet but just right yummy! I give this place a 10/10. The service was on point their knowledge of their food and menu was spot on, the views were great, and the food was amazing. What more could you ask for in a dining experience? Not much if you ask me! Run don't walk to this place I highly recommend and will be back again for sure. Enjoy and tell them Elon sent you!

For a holiday/waterfront dining experience on the Nautical Mile, I expected pricing to be on the higher side, but I will say the menu itself felt a bit limited for that price point. Still, the restaurant is absolutely a cute spot and definitely one of the nicer looking restaurants in the area with a great atmosphere and lounge vibe. The cocktail menu was honestly one of the highlights of the night. The drinks were well made, flavorful, and fun. You can tell they put thought into their cocktail program and presentation. For appetizers, we ordered the wings, fried shrimp, and crab cake. All three were very good. The wings were flavorful, the shrimp were crispy and fresh, and the crab cake was nicely done as well. For my entrée, I chose the blackened salmon with jasmine rice and vegetables. The salmon itself was cooked nicely and the portion size was solid, though overall the dish was a little on the salty side and felt somewhat simple/minimal for a special holiday prix fixe menu. Service was a little hit or miss. At one point I was brought something completely different from what I ordered. However, it was Mother's Day and the restaurant was clearly very busy, so I can understand the staff possibly being overwhelmed by the holiday crowd. Our server herself was still very sweet and pleasant throughout the evening. Overall, I enjoyed the experience more for the ambiance, drinks, and overall vibe than the actual prix fixe menu. I'd definitely consider going back on a regular night to try their standard dinner menu because I think that would give a better feel for the restaurant outside of the holiday rush.
