Dined in on a Friday night after teeball with the family. Place was decently busy for a Friday night (especially on Good Friday). We were seated at a table and took a while to be met by a server. Restaurant had a very traditional Italian restaurant vibe, which was executed well. Took a while for someone to come take our drink order, and we were given bread. Seemed like there was only 1 or 2 servers covering the whole place, so that could have been why it took a bit. Dinner orders were taken, and honestly came out very quickly. I had gotten a brick oven pizza, that was actually very tasty. We opted for some dessert as well, and ended up getting the three ice cream options they had. No picture because our kids devoured them. La Strada apparently means The Street, which I cannot figure out because this food is better than any street food pizza i have ever had. The wood fired oven gives a nice char to the crust and creates nice "bubble trouble" as Portnoy affectionately calls them. If there was a little more sauce and more generous helping of sausage, this pizza would be even better. As it was, we still really enjoyed it. The salad was good too. Lots of dressing but not soggy. Dressing was interestingly slightly sweet but still pleasant. Overall a very enjoyable meal! Next time, will try to eat in. read more

Wife and I needed a post holiday night out. Never been to La Strada but heard good things. We shared the Cold Antipasto which could have fed four. It was so good, Italian meats, cheeses, peppers, sundried tomatoes. She got a steak which was amazing. I got chicken dish, can't remember the name off top of my head but it was also amazing. A perfect spot for a date night or family dinner! Old time hits like Sinatra and Bing Crosby play in the background while eating delicious coal-fired pizza and having a nice glass of vino. My boyfriend and I went last night to celebrate his birthday. The ambiance is so nicely decorated for the Fall and is cozy and welcoming. Erika was our server and she was very good. This establishment has the potential to be excellent, unfortunately they will fill their seats without the ability to serve their patrons. Grossly understaffed but that doesn't stop them from making sure every seat is filled. The food is good not great but the kitchen surely can pump out food faster than the wait staff can handle it. We love Lastrada restaurant. The food is delicious. One problem. The drink prices!!! We ordered Chardonnay one glass that was $16. I find that outrageous. I don't know how we could go again because we like to have a drink or a glass of wine something like that with our dinner but a chance of the price too much again the food is delicious. I haven't ate at the restaurant, I've only done pizza take-out, so that is what I'm basing this review on. Ordering was easy, just call and pick it up 35 minutes later. There's a huge parking lot behind the building, so parking isn't an issue. It's apparent that this is a higher-quality pizza, from ingredients to execution. It's almost on the artisanal side and it eats a little heavy, but I find it to be pretty good. I'd say it's above average Long Island pizza and if someone were to say it's their favorite pizza I'd respect it. The pizza's come well done, no need to specify that when ordering. There's good char, good crisp, and the dough maintains a slight bite. The ingredients are quality. There's really not much more to say about it. I'd give it a strong 7.9-8.1 out of 10. Pictures below are the regular, white, and meatball/ricotta pies. The meatball ricotta was my favorite, with my least favorite being their white. That doesn't mean the white was bad though! On entering La Strada, we found a bustling and apparently very popular Italian restaurant with an animated and fairly noisy loyal following of many local families and groups of friends. After a brief wait we were seated and discovered that the noisy bustling was also coming from the motion of a professional and well-oiled machine, where both kitchen and dining staff work together in a coordinated effort at delivering consistently excellent food to its clientele. All of the food prepared and served was truly superb and the service was both adept and attentive to our entire table of three couples. We'll happily be back. I went with my family for dinner. They sat seven of us at a round table that could accommodate five or six people the most. I spoke to the owner who was argumentative and made no effort to help even though there was an empty table next to us the whole time. Made a reservation. They took us early which was great. The menu has SO many choices! I got the chicken francese that came with vegetables then came with a side of pasta. I chose rigatoni a la vodka. Delish! The bread on the table was good. They could have done better refilling the water on the table and the glass that my soda was in was too small. Filled with ice and not a lot of soda so I would need a refill. The brick oven margarita pizza was amazing! I would order it again. Great shareable appetizer too!! I really wanted to be able to give this restaurant a high rating but the food for the most part was just ok and the service wasn't great. First strike, my granddaughter accidentally spilled her water which by the way my husband cleaned up... so the server took away her plate and napkin but never brought over replacements. Second strike, my husband's veal parm was in his words horrible because it was overcooked and very tough. The chicken Gorgonzola that my daughter and I had was very good as were the desserts and appetizers which is why I gave 3 stars. My son ordered steak which he said was ok although he did not like the jalapeños that were on it (and he likes spice) and his GF had gnocchi which was ok too. My partner and i shared a Caesar salad, pizza and a chicken dish with eggplant (cant remember the name). They actually have the best caesar salad ever. Its so simple but so good. Pizza was delicious as always and the portion of the entree was generous. We each took home a dessert. He had cheesecake and i had a rainbow cookie cake. Both were good but the cheesecake was better.
