French Fries look good
Carmen A.

Ok. Customer service is Fabulous. Elon took my order graciously and expeditiously. I ordered wonton soup so deliscious that I ate it and forgot to take the picture! Sooooo. I walked in and found that I had left my card somewhere and just ordered an appetizer and soup. Wonton soup and French Fries were really good. Made just right. So I took out my phone and ordered through Yelp/Grubhub a takeout order of Vegetable Lo Mein and Spare Ribs w/ Fried Rice. Meanwhile, I dug into my French Fries and Wonton Soup. I must say the French Fries and Wonton Soup pleasantly exceeded my expectations. I inhaled them. I did take pictures of my Spare Rib Lunch. That was good also. I will return to get another order of that the Ribs were meaty and tasty. The Veggie Lo Mein was a separate order, although I did sample it and it was very good. All in all...I enjoyed their food. Compliments to the chef

Food is good however no delivery. The staff is courteous. I wish they would consider joining Grubhub again.

The quality of the seafood for the price point was great! The restaurant is pretty small but they have a nice flow to service and seemed to manage it well. We didn't have a long wait when we arrived and the food came out quick but the small waiting area was packed by the time we were leaving so I would suggest trying it earlier rather than later. Now let's get into the food. We started with the Banging Salmon Bites and they were very delicious. Seasoned to perfection. I'm not the biggest fan of bang bang sauce and I was expecting the bites to come tossed in sauce but it was drizzled on top which I actually appreciated so I could control the amount of sauce on my bite. Next time I will ask for it on the side but I did really like it. The salmon was juicy and flavorful. For my entree I did the build your own combo with a pound of snow crab legs and 1/2 pound of headless shrimp. The combo comes with 1 corn and two potatoes and I added additional corn which was two more pieces. I had the yard mix sauce which is a combination of all of the sauces together and it was delicious. Not overly salty but actually flavorful. I did medium spice level I think next time I'll try the hot. The medium was not spicy enough for me. The seafood comes out on a hot sizzling plate which is a nice touch and actually helps keep the seafood warm longer. The drinks were also a really good price and pretty strong. Overall I really enjoyed the food will def be back to try some more menu options and maybe happy hour. Only deducted one star because our server was lacking a bit but not terrible. He just seemed to need some more training but he may have just been new.

I ordered the crab redgoon as an appetizer, they were cooked with the perfect amount of crisp! I chose General Tso's chicken as my entree. It was also great, all ingredients tasted fresh! We also tried the grilled salmon salad, it was delish! As well as the 1lb of Snow Crab legs. I loved the presentation of all the food. The crab legs came on this mobile grill that kept your food hot!!! Definitely get two thumbs up for that extra detail! Looking forward to returning!

We all got to go containers. Service- exceptional. We were there at 2 pm, so not a rush time. Our waitress was friendly, just the right amount of attentiveness. Bar seating and regular tables are available as well. Waitress was very attentive from the beginning. Made some good recommendations and knew what she was talking about. Started off with the Cajun muscles. Not as spicy as I thought they were going to be with the Cajun seasoning but still good. If you are looking for any complimentary bread, you won't get that. You have to pay for a side of bread. Crazy but true. Bread comes with the muscles for no extra charge. For my entree I ordered the fried shrimp. Comes with a side of fries and coleslaw. Little disappointed in the fried shrimp. Absolutely no seasoning in the breading of the over the shrimp. It was like they just put the shrimp in plain batter and into the fryer. Unless I get really bad service and bad food, I wont give a place a second try. Even though they didn't deliver on my expectations, I will give a try again with different dishes.

Honestly, it holds its own against Hot and Juicy Crawfish, which has always been my top seafood spot. Everything about this experience was a 10 out of 10, especially the service. Our bartender Kenny also happened to be our server, and he did a phenomenal job. Even while bartending, he still made sure we were taken care of. On top of that, three or four other servers checked in on us throughout the night to make sure we had everything we needed. I really appreciated the teamwork and how focused everyone was on making sure we had a great experience. We started with the Passionfruit Sunrise, which Kenny recommended, and it was so good we ended up ordering three. My boyfriend had the Voodoo Lemonade and really enjoyed that too. For appetizers, we got the breadsticks, mozzarella sticks, and oysters. The oysters were a definite highlight . It was flavorful, steamed just right, and covered in all the sauces. If you're an oyster fan, you won't be disappointed. The chicken sandwich was also really good. The lobster bisque was just OK. I ordered a crab boil and added noodles, sausage, and eggs with the Hook & Reel seasoning blend. Everything was incredibly flavorful and cooked perfectly. I honestly can't wait to come back, but I'd only return to this location. They hit every mark: food, drinks, and service. Highly recommend.

I lived in Boston previously and Thames's lobster roll is BETTER than any I had there. It's my default order, but explore their specials when they catch my eye. I can also recommend thier scallops and fish. Their crab cakes are great as well; however, I reccomend getting other items here and crab cakes elsewhere if you're making multiple food stops in Bmore as there are equally good crab cakes at other places (Pappas, Faidleys, Nick's, Coco's etc.) but not equally good other dishes. I'd been to Baltimore for Christmas with her but wanted to see what her summers were like growing up. Her father's best friend since 1st grade, her godfather, offered to treat us to Thames St Oyster House and we could not pass up the offer. We'd been before, she'd been several times. It was her dad and godfather's favorite place to celebrate big occasions. We loved it. As we sat down at our table her godfather exclaimed "Well I'm not the only one paying for this meal, I've been waiting to use this." It was a $100 gift card from my fiancé's late father, in his handwriting. We were floored. We all got choked up and cried a little. It felt like her father was giving us his blessing from beyond the grave. The oysters were phenomenal. The crab cake was amazing. The local beer was perfect on a hot day. Then it came time to pay. We were horrified when the waitress came back with the gift card and told us it was expired. Expired? There is no expiration date printed on it which means it is legally valid indefinitely. She explained that they changed POS systems since the card had been purchased (again, by my fiancé's late father before he was taken by cancer) and that the new system did not recognize it. "Sorry, there's nothing we can do." No offer to grab a manager to see if a portion of the meal could be comped. Just $100 spent by a dearly departed that Thames St Oyster House does not have to answer for. A very tender moment ruined by poor customer service. They've lost 3 repeat customers.

This bar does not give any presentation or flair to their non alcoholic beverages. Pom and Circumstance was zesty and sweet . The Half Moon drink was nothing more than grapefruit juice with a cherry . I was expecting more presentation since it's literally a tonic. I would like to mention that the bar was slammed with guests and the tables were not getting their drinks on time. So, maybe it was a slippery Sunday night for the bar and my zero proof drinks lacked in pizazz. The watermelon salad was a wild card choice as Glenwoods does not have much fresh fruit on the menu. I wish it was not so chunky ... chunks of watermelon and tomato covered in a balsamic sauce and feta cheese. This salad pairs nicely with the arugula. The sides were hot and came out expeditiously. The burger was undercooked and the server offered to re-Fire a new burger. 5 out 10 night .
