La La Land was a gorgeous home and we would definitely stay at this unit again. Unfortunately, our most recent stay included several service and maintenance issues that impacted the experience. While the staff was courteous, response times were challenging when problems arose. The most significant issue occurred on our final night when multiple fire alarms sounded in our unit for an extended period of time while we were traveling with an infant and toddler. Because maintenance was not immediately available on-site, it took quite some time to resolve the situation. I truly believe our experience would have been very different had maintenance personnel been available on the property to respond more quickly to urgent issues. For a resort of this size and caliber, having faster on-site maintenance support would greatly improve the guest experience and help prevent minor issues from becoming major disruptions. Cinnamon Shore has so much potential to provide an exceptional vacation experience, and I hope management continues investing in the operational side of the resort to match the beauty of the property itself.

Cinnamon Shore seems to think they can do whatever they want and treat people like second-class citizens. To make matters worse, the house we stayed in had cockroaches, which was already unacceptable considering the cost of staying here. Larry and Juan from courtesy patrol then approached and harassed my family over an investigation that none of us were involved in. During the interaction, they were taking photos of me and my family, which made us extremely uncomfortable. When I confronted them about it, Larry responded with, "You're not that sweet, sweetheart," before they became even more disrespectful and unprofessional, eventually calling me and my sister "f***ing ret*rds." What makes this even more disturbing is that I have the entire interaction recorded. I have special needs family members, so hearing that kind of language was beyond offensive and unacceptable. No guest, resident, or homeowner should ever be treated this way, especially by staff or security personnel who are supposed to make people feel safe. After being a loyal guest and homeowner family since 2009, I am honestly shocked and disgusted by the level of harassment, disrespect, and overall experience my family had.

It's also a private portion of the island, so public access isn't allowed. We came in September so it was super chill. Maintenance was very attentive and anytime we had an issue they came quickly. The small kid pool was dirty, within minutes they were cleaning it. There was an ant pile outside our patio, they took care of it within minutes again. Our toilet flooded and again they were there within minutes. Every time with a smile on their face and happy to help. When my mother in law went to the front to ask for another towel they questioned her heavily, to which my mother in law was offended. Room 115 needs shutters on the window, as the room never got dark because the lights from the outside shined through. The pillows were flat. The pool was nice. Overall, yes, the place is dated. They were slim on amenities; we didn't even had facial tissue which was annoying. The toilet paper was crumbly and the trash cans didn't have lids. Various electric plugs were popping off the wall and some switches didn't work. The tools to make a meal were limited also. Depending on the goals you have for the stay, this could do it.
