Quaint breakfast spot in Pass-a-Grille beach. Great service with a smile. Delicious food serving breakfast and lunch. We tried the blueberry pancakes, a breakfast omelet and the patty melt with onion rings. Definitely will be back!

My family and I absolutely love the Seahorse! My dad passed away of few years ago and this was one of his favorite restaurants. We go here for breakfast pretty much everyday that we are in St. Pete's then go right to Pass A Grille for the perfect beach day. The pancakes here are unreal!

Seahorse Restaurant, Pass-a-Grille, FL

The perfect old school breakfast/lunch restaurant in Florida. Food is great, a simple and classic mimosa. I love this place.

Popeyes omelette

Needed a diner style breakfast so I found this little breakfast nook. This restaurant is only open for breakfast and lunch. Set across the street from the water. A cute little place and gotta love the name. I chose this place because they had shrimp and grits ant that their most popular dish. Do we ordered the shrimp and grits, a popeyes omelet and over easy eggs and corn beef hash and home fries.the shrimp and grits were good as the Popeyes omelet. The over easy eggs was over cooked and the corn beef hash was cooked crisp squished thin like a 5 inch pancake and did it mentioned it was thin? It was as thin as 2 tortilla wraps stacked together.

Avocado toast

Nice breakfast spot. We had their Avocado toast and it was good and had a hint of heat. The waitress was very attentive and our coffee never got cold.

Found this place for breakfast while we were in St Pete. This place will take you way back as soon as you walked in. The decor is very nostalgic of the old Florida. I had the cheesy Cajun shrimp grits. It was so yummy! My husband had the French toast, but I wasn't impressed. They used a thin white bread which is normally not suitable for French toast.I wish I had a photo of it, but will be back again when we're in town and try something different. Service was great. No complaint.

Breakfast BLT

Cute, old Florida style breakfast and lunch restaurant. Lunch begins at 11am, but there are savory items such as BLT and grilled shrimp on the breakfast menu. The house potatoes have quite a bit of onion (just a heads up for anyone ordering who isn't a fan of onions). Side of bacon is 3 pieces. Everything tasted great. Love the decor. Service was excellent! Outdoor seating available, but the old Florida ambiance is found inside.

Found this gem on Google maps and was drawn in by the history --this place has been around since 1938 serving bfast and Cuban toast so had to stop by. Immediately noticed the fun, holiday spirit inside where the Santa-licans flew above with hats and various X-mas decor throughout. 5/5 service - waitress was super friendly and attentive, she checked in multiple times and gave menu recommendations. Our table had a wobbly bench and she offered to move us, but we had already gotten the food so it was fine. 4/5 food - starting from best : shrimp n grits, wow, didn't know grits could be creamy and savory at the same time. The little bacon bits added a zing of flavor to a bite that didn't need the shrimp, which was a zesty lemon grill flavor. Cuban sandwich was solid, bread was crunchy and stuffed with plenty of ham & salami. Cod basket was just ok, think they could have made the fish less oily. The cole slaw was a bit too slimy and sweet for me but others liked it. Dill tartar sauce was bomb and plenty left to dip the fries into. Parking spots, though few outside, are free. Otherwise street parking is about $4 for an hour. Definitely would recommend checking this seaside spot out if you're visiting.

Spicy Shrimp Omelette

During recent visit to Tampa/St. Pete found our way over to St.Pete Beach. Nice Area with a very good breakfast spot called the Seahorse Restaurant. It's near the water with a throw back Florida vibe from the 60's & early 70's. Tables and overall decor is a visit back to old Florida! Server was very friendly & helpful with food selections. I decided on the Spicy Shrimp Omelette w/side of tomatoes since no hash browns. Also, had a Bloody Mary to start the day which was tasty! Overall with the nostalgia, food & service I would give this 4.5 stars! Thanks for the ride back in time and look forward to another visit down the road!

If you're looking for fresh seafood with beautiful waterfront views, Buoys Waterfront Bar & Grill…read moreis absolutely worth a visit! My family and I had such a great experience, and I'd easily give it a 9/10 for the food, service, and ambiance. Even though it was a rainy day and only indoor seating was available, it didn't take away from the experience at all. The restaurant has windows throughout, so no matter where you're seated, you still get gorgeous views of the water. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. You can tell they genuinely care about making sure guests have a great experience. Another thing I appreciated was that the food is made fresh to order, and the seafood tasted exceptionally fresh. We started with the Kung Pao Calamari, and wow...I honestly could've eaten the entire plate myself! It was packed with flavor, perfectly cooked, and easily one of the best appetizers I've had in a while. For my entrée, I ordered the Maine Lobster Roll, and it was outstanding--fresh, buttery, and loaded with lobster. I paired it with the plantain mashed potatoes, which completely surprised me. I wasn't sure what to expect, but they were absolutely delicious and something I'd order again without hesitation. My refreshing Peach Margarita was the perfect complement to the meal. Around the table, the Fish & Chips and the Grouper BLT were both big hits. The only small critique is that the hush puppies were a little overdone. Aside from that, everything was flavorful and thoroughly enjoyed. Overall, Buoys delivered an excellent dining experience with fresh food, warm hospitality, and beautiful waterfront views. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in St. Pete!

Overrated! Ended up…read morehere while visiting the area based on reviews. Perhaps we tried the wrong things, but we were hungry (which usually increases the appreciation for the food), and our choices ranged from not good to good. The dip appetizer- Not good. It was the crab dip with seasoned cheez-it shaped crackers. The crab did not have good flavor and the crackers were over salted. Wasn't a good balance for my taste buds. Didn't eat most of it. The oysters appetizer- Good. They were fresh which is ALWAYS appreciated. I didnt like that the shells weren't rinsed, which led to alot of shell in my slurps and the actual oyster sizes ranged from normal to small. One was almost tiny. My main meal- Good. I had the special...a Blackened Hogfish stuffed with crab and scallops. The fish on it's own was ok, but the bites with the stuffing as the whole were good. The rice and beans along with it were cooked perfectly. My friend had the Blackened Grouper and enjoyed it thoroughly. Desserts- Very Good- 50/50. The Coconut Cheesecake was absolutely DELICIOUS, definitely homemade. The Chocolate Cheesecake was just ok, but killed the sweet treat itch. Ambiance- Tranquil. If you're looking for beautiful scenery while eating pretty good food out on the patio area, this is it. The main dining area upstairs was a typical old seafood diner type vibe. The bathrooms are also located upstairs. Service was informative and attentive. It wasn't the best seafood I've had, but I'd definitely come back for the view. Pricing was fair. Check them out!

Driving here, I didn't know what to expect or realize the layout or scope of this place, Island Grand at TradeWinds. It's a four star resort! There was a guard at a formal gate and a sign with significant parking costs. I just told the guard I was eating lunch with a friend at Pete's and he kindly let me in. I should have asked for directions because it turns out this place is a 40 acre resort with multiple parking areas and restaurants. All good! I walked in the main entrance and the gentleman at a desk on the right kindly gave me accurate and friendly directions. I was nicely greeted at the entrance to Pete's, the kind ladies acknowledged my reservation and directed me to where my friend was already sitting. We chatted and the waitress Rosalie introduced herself and took care of us. She was very gracious and helpful and answered our questions about the place. We learned she'd worked in the past at the legendary Hub in Tampa, as well as a few other places! Respect! Thank you for your excellent service Rosalie! You gave us time and space to chat and eat but we're also there at the right moments to take care of us. My chopped salad with salmon added was a nice size portion, very fresh, and the salmon was cooked perfectly, not overcooked as it often is. We enjoyed our meal, took our time, relaxed, chatted, got our checks and found our way back to our cars. It turns out there is parking much closer to the restaurant. Pete's is right on the huge St Pete beach with large windows. But, it's perfectly enclosed so the AC was very welcome on a 93F summer day. Life is good with a delicious lunch at a resort during off-season!

Rosalie told us she earned her bartending chops at The Hub dive bar, which means not only can she mix ANY drink, she can handle any customer, too. I figured I needed some potassium on this blisteringly hot day so she made a Banana Daiquiri ($15). It Hit the spot! All-Star Elite Dave W chose this restaurant for our monthly get together and it did not disappoint. We had 11am reservations at the bar (I'm a bar fly type guy). When I arrived a little before 11:00 both Rosalie & the manager told me they change from the breakfast menu to the lunch menu EXACTLY at 11:00 and if we wanted breakfast we'd have to put in our orders right away. We assured them that the lunch menu was fine, But it was nice of them to inquire and was typical of the intimate service provided. I ordered the portobello melt ($15) and Dave got a Salmon Salad. Both dishes were tasty. The air conditioning was cold, and the views of the beach were hot. Good views of the Chippies on the beach (If you like that sort of thing). Great meal with great conversation = Priceless!

I enjoyed sitting outside, right by the beach, at a very sunny picnic table with an umbrella for partial shade. Bring your sunscreen as I did and all is well! It was fun to take in the whole slightly chaotic but totally safe family-friendly scene on a holiday morning! Energizing! Parking is a challenge but hey, I like to walk and explore so I had fun with it. Just be aware, some searching for a public or nearby parking spot may be required. Carpooling or ride sharing is recommended if possible. I'm on a strict no-fried-food, no chemicals, no preservatives, no gluten, no sugar, no dairy diet so choices for breakfast were limited as expected. All good. I enjoyed my properly cooked eggs and the lady who took my order was kind and helpful. I should have ordered the fruit bowl as well but I didn't see it on the menu until now. No problem! Next time! My guests also said their paradise omelets were properly cooked and delicious! Our food also was prepared in a very reasonable amount of time considering the crowd which was impressive! Please do not expect eggs Benedict, table cloths and fancy plates. This is a fun place right on the beach with plastic silverware and styrofoam containers. @Peter and Vandana joined for the meal and we laughed, relaxed, ate, chatted, took in the scene, enjoyed the morning and then... Vandana brought out the huge conch shell. I was first to attempt tooting the massive horn but it just wasn't happening. Peter was a bit better than I. Vandana, on the other hand, warned ships well over the horizon that we were here and ready for fun! Kids jumped and clapped their hands. Adults stared in stunned silence. Everyone was deafened. My Apple Watch warned me of dangerous audio conditions that might cause permanent hearing damage if the sound kept up! It was an awesome and skilled display of awesomeness! This was no simple toot. It was a blast! Thank you Vandana! Memorable to say the least! Plus, I can still hear just fine and dandy. Life is a blast with a fun and very memorable meal on the beach! Thanks Paradise Grille!

They had a fresh catch of grouper that day, so we decided to try the grouper nuggets. They're market price, but absolutely worth it. Even our friend preferred them over his fried fish. The batter was light, crispy, and delicious. Our kids ordered the bacon cheese fries and loved them. Just a heads-up: they use a nacho cheese sauce rather than shredded cheese, which some people may prefer to know ahead of time. Our friend from Massachusetts ordered the lobster sub (also market price) and said it was worth every penny. My husband and I split the grouper nuggets and the Philly cheesesteak. The bread is brought in from up north, and our server's recommendation did not disappoint. The sandwich was rich, flavorful, and one of the highlights of the meal. We also tried the onion rings. They use a beer batter, which wasn't our favorite, but that's more of a personal preference than a criticism. Overall, we'd definitely return if we're in the area again. The only downside was parking--$29.99 for two hours is pretty brutal. Thankfully, the food and atmosphere helped make up for it.
