PLEASE read this review and others for transparent prices and honest reviews before getting blind sighted and swindled. MULTIPLE reviews support the SAME situation of upcharge of $575. Husband spoke to the scheduling representative and asked for a technician to come out for a diagnostic, they sent out a contractor and they identified an issue in the diagnostic and when we said thank you for your opinion we will look at repairs elsewhere because the price to replace a receptacle (wall outlet, non-GFCI) was quoted at $575.00 and that was something on a single income we were not comfortable paying, and he would not accept that as resolution for agreeing to just pay for a diagnostic assessment (roughly ten minutes to walk and talk of contractor time spent 'assessing'). Tim, said no, out the door this is $575 for services to include changing the receptacle. I said the only services rendered was the diagnostic we asked for, and asked for the price of a diagnostic and for 20+ minutes he refused to answer my question about how much a diagnostic assessment was. He kept saying I was taking advantage of him when no other services were performed. He became very disrespectful and said that he "hopes I get what's coming to me and hopes that I have horrible issues with my home", and all that. I agreed to the $150 diagnostic and to be done with him. We were referenced this company from a different business had had we read other community reviews we WOULD NOT have gone with this dishonorable and disrespectful business. read more

What was supposed to be a no cost estimate turned into a $675 bill that my wife felt obligated to pay. We did not approve the electrical work that Tim Seals did nor were any costs discussed with us. We thought he was just looking around our house to give us an estimate for the work that needed to be done. He went ahead opened up some outlets and then blindsided my wife by handing her a ridiculous bill once he said he fixed the problem. He was supposed to give us a estimate not start any work! He seems like a complete scam artist who does this often to women!!! The problem ended up being a bad circuit breaker, which he charged us $275 to fix. $275 to put in three wires into a old used circuit breaker he had laying around in his truck! We had reached out to multiple electricians to see who would give us the best rate but instead we got stuck with a huge bill that we would have never approved if an estimate was actually provided to us. Seals Electric did an amazing job on my EVSE install. I gave them a call and Mr. Seals was able to come out and install a new circuit for my charger the same day I called. When there were a few complications due to the construction of the home, he explains the situation and what options I had. At the end, I was more than satisfied by his workmanship and plan to use him for some other projects I have. read more

Owner of Seals Electric, Tim Seals, is a terrible electrician and would not recommend him. Our appointment was scheduled for 9-11 am. He didn't show until 2:30 pm. He completed electrical work including installing a panel that cost $3700 and didn't even label the breakers and wanted to charge an additional $150 for labelling. He left the wiring exposed and did not complete the work in a professional manner. Customers beware! read more

Tim Seals was unprofessional from the start, giving us rude one word answers whenever we tried to confirm that he was coming per our Sears Warranty. He kept claiming he never heard from Sears, when Sears continuously told us they had provided him the authorization, and we're since sure they did; he probably overlooked it. When he finally showed up (2 hours later than he promised, and never contacted us to tell us he was running late, and after claiming he had the wrong address even though we had clearly texted him the address the day before) he quickly scared us by telling us our electrical panel was faulty and we were at risk of fire. He first said we were facing a $3300 job to replace the entire panel. Then said he could "help us out by instead replacing 4 single breakers with double breakers, for only $725 plus parts". We were scared of the fire hazard, so we said go ahead. He said the replacement breakers would be $10-20 each. First he said he'd get 4 or 5, then claimed he couldn't get them at our local Home Depot (which we since learned was not true). Then I realized we had 2 double breakers already which simply had to get moved, so we only needed 2 more new double breakers. He claimed he wouldn't charge us for more parts than we needed. Next morning he claimed they were $55 each at a supply shop. We thought we were in good hands so reluctantly told him to go ahead. (We since learned they were available at Home Depot for approx $10 each). He arrived and was done in 10 minutes, and swore that he had to replace 3 breakers for $55 each + tax, even though we're sure we really only needed 2 new double breakers. We asked for a little extra help to relabel our panel, figuring that's the least he could do for charging us $725 for 10 minutes of labor, but he got belligerent and said he'd charge extra for that, and that "we'd already gotten what we paid for". So the final bill was $725 plus $167 for breakers. The receipt he gave us for the breakers said "box" for "$167" so we're pretty sure he charged us for an entire box of breakers and kept the rest. Stay away from Seals Electric, Tim is a smooth talker who took advantage of us and will probably do the same to others. We would not recommend him to anyone. read more

The owner Timothy Seals is very cocky, arrogant, and lazy. He is also a one man show and will do the minimal, but with a high price tag. My advice is to seek other options! Get three quotes before scheduling work with Seals. He will apart to be cheaper in the beginning to get your money then track on other fees. read more

Tim has gone above and beyond what he was initially hired to do! BG&E shut off our power when our breaker box began to spark and they told us it needed replacing. Enter Tim. Tim was out at our house the very next day with everything he needed to replace our box, and he stayed with us every step of the way while we were navigating the very overly complicated system that is BG&E. He even stayed on speaker phone with me and BG&E while we were trying to work out the logistics of getting our power switched back on. He has checked in with me, my roommate, and our landlord, making sure he has done everything he could possibly do to help make this very frustrating process easy on us. He is someone we will call again should anything else arise in the future, both at this house and anywhere else we may be living in the future. Thank you for all your help, Tim! read more

I was extremely impressed the electrician was able to come to my house without an appointment set up. He was very friendly and professional. The electrical problem in my house was not easily detected... But he persevered and discovered it, and repaired it with a reasonable price. I originally hired Mr. Seals for an Nema 14-50 charger install for my electric car however upon review, he noticed the subpanel I had was filled up. There was no room for the 50Amp breaker. He was able to upgrade my old subpanel to now include a new panel with more space and a main breaker switch to shut off the power. He was also able to install the nema 14-50 receptacle in my garage thus allowing me to charge my vehicle. I recommend Mr. Seals and will be contacting him for future work. read more
