We were sitting in those little beach chairs, approx. 2 inches off the sand. They had already taken a walk down the beach and when getting out of their chairs I noticed they had to roll over onto their knees and hold onto the chair in order to stand up. That's the way I used to have to get out of a low sitting chair but these women are at least 10 years younger than I am. A little later when we were getting ready to go home, I heard one of my friends say, "Damn, girl! You just stood right up!!" and I realized she was talking to me. I have been working with Carl on my strength and personal fitness for more than five years and have progressively experienced the ease at which I do many, many everyday activities; like walking up steps with bags of groceries, picking up items off the ground, getting serving bowls off a high shelf while standing on a step-stool, rearranging outside planter pots in the patio, moving 40 pound bags of cat sand, and - standing up from a low seated position without even noticing!!!
