She took an x-rays and could not see the infection, so I went to another Dentist and told me I had an infection. Do NOT trust her with implants. She should be a car saleswoman. read more

I visited this dental office hoping for a supportive and understanding environment, as I had explained my autism-related needs in advance. Unfortunately, I did not feel the office was autism-friendly, the environment and communication style were overwhelming, and my needs were not accommodated as I had expected. I was also surprised by the charge estimates, which I believe were higher than what I had been led to expect. The payment and deposit policy was not clearly explained to me beforehand, and I left feeling frustrated and misled. Additionally, I found aspects of Dr Ky's communication to be unprofessional and dismissive, which added to my discomfort during the visit. Overall, my experience left me feeling disappointed, taken advantage of, and I will never return. Also, look at my history of 5 star reviews. I am not one who likes to complain. I love to find the best in situations, but Dr. Ky really misses the mark. read more

My worst dental experience ever. Dr Ky recommended I have an implant placed in my upper front to support a bridge. After letting the implant heal for 7 months, Dr Ky informed me that my body had resorbed bone and she was unable to place a crown on the tooth and that the implant would have to come out and be redone. At that point I said I wanted to get a second opinion. The dental office that gave me a second opinion confirmed that the implant would have to be taken out as the implant had been placed so far off the mark that only a portion of the implant had been placed in bone. And that there was no sign of bone resorption. At that point Dr Ky informed me that she would refund what she had charged me, which she has done. However, It has cost me over four thousand dollars to remove the implant and do another bone graft. Not only will this now cost me considerably more, I had to go thru a painful extraction of the implant and has delayed my getting another bridge for a year. read more

Sean T Ky is an excellent dentist with full service and very pleasant staff, who are always courteous and professional to take care of your every need. My original dentist retired, and Dr. Ky Took over The practice. Dr. Ky also has an excellent dental hygienist, Christina, Who really helped me with my receding gums and cleaning that prevented me from having to have surgery. Dr. Ky did an excellent job with my dental veneers Which greatly improved my dental appearance. I would highly recommend Dr Ky to anyone looking for a great looking for a great dentist! read more

The reason I write this review to help others out there, if you are looking for a new dentist. Sean T Ky DDS is a dishonest person, crook and scam. She will never answer or explain to you what treatment you going to get on your visit. and when you leave her office, she makes you pay up- front with a surprise bill, she list all the items on the bill that you did not see she had serve you on that date. I went in for a tooth full out, and she had her worker scan all over my mouth with a dirty dental equipment, I got my throat infection, cough, and tested positive covid-19, I end up in the hospital for 10 days. Her worker Ericka took my dental insurance, and Ericka told me that she will send in the claim for me to get my refund, 3 weeks later, I call my insurance, they said that Dr Sean T. Ky never did send in the claim, that means Dr Sean T. Ky got her money, she doesn't care if you get your dental insurance pay you back. Last year, I went in for a cleaning and all of a sudden I was being taken to a different room for full mouth X-rays. I wasn't asked. Just told. It's all about the money making. If you do not want to receive a surprise bill, that you want to avoid, then, do not pick Sean T. Ky for your dental care. Although, I did paid my bill for the cost of surprise bill almost $2,000, just only for the x-ray. read more

Former patient of Dr Ky. Was with her for about a year and a half. The office was great, the staff was friendly enough. Not a bad dentist at all. The reason I left the practice was because of the billing! On multiple occasions I was quoted a reasonable estimate for routine procedures only to find on follow up visits that I owned a balance of nearly double the estimated cost. I have above average dental insurance too. How can the initial estimate be so far off the mark?! It just seemed really fishy to me. To be clear, I'm not talking about obscure or intensive work at all. Again, no qualms about the quality of care -- the dentist and her staff were nice enough -- but I've never had a dentist be THAT far off when it came to billing. read more

I picked this dentist as it is walking distance from the office, but I can say they do a quality cleaning and are very supportive and understanding of customers' needs. Dr. Ky took over the practice of my former dentist when he retired. Dr. Grund had been my dentist for over 30 years so I was a bit apprehensive about a new dentist. Immediately I was comfortable with Dr. Ky. She has a calming manner, explains everything she is doing...and WHY...her staff is efficient and friendly. I had a particularly difficult extraction that took a couple of hours more than any of us had anticipated. She was very comforting and calm throughout that process, and called me over the weekend to check on me. If you are looking for a dentist with a great deal of knowledge, gentle hands and is working towards a modern, updated office in the next year...she is definitely worth seeing. read more

If I can give them 0 stars I would! At first everything was great, but once I received my bill I was being charged for a deep cleaning when I originally went in for a cleaning. Apparently the dentist decided to do a deep cleaning without my consent. When I attempted to get it resolve I was told that the doctor decided I needed the deep cleaning and my bill was going to stand at $387. When I decided to pay off my amount I was charged $433. When I called back according to them my insurance backed out of paying a portion and my amount went up. What a surprise that my insurance backed out when they have never done that to me in the past. Not only that this claim was from 5 months ago and it had already been resolved with my insurance. PLEASE BEWARE AND IF YOU DO GO GET A QUOTE BEFORE GETTING THE WORK DONE!!!! read more

I was really nervous .Dr. Ky is kind and gentle and explains everything! I didn't have any pain during the procedures And my swelling and pain is almost nonexistent the day after! I had a crown made from a different dentist that would always come off after several attempts to reattach it. Dr. Ky created a new one (that looks even more natural than my last) and used different techniques than any of my previous dentists to make sure it stayed on. It's been over two years and not only has this crown stayed in place, it's given me no issues with food debris or the subsequent problems that come with it. Unfortunately, she is not in my network now and I moved away, but if I ever needed another crown, I would gladly travel to her and pay out of pocket for these results. I was skeptical about the transfer from my own retired dentist of nearly 30 years to "the new people . . ." WELL, they are ALL awesome ! I have been enjoying the quality care and service from Dr. Ky and her office staff. Ongoing care for a crown, some bite work and straightening have been very pleasant and the results are extremely pleasing. As an aside, I like that my dentist is also my orthodontist. Most dentists are under the fee for service healthcare model where they are paid according to the number of procedures performed. The Affordable Care Act has attempted to remove these perverse incentives for the providers, however, there are too few regulations concerning dentist practices. I agree with the other reviewer who pointed out that Dr. Ky's dental clinic operates like a money making business. I am a former patient of Dr. Ky's and while the cleaning is pretty standard and staff is friendly, I was constantly told to purchase a $500 mouth guard that was not covered by my insurance. I tried to discuss with Dr. Ky about any alternatives because I was still in my early 20s and could not afford such a high out of pocket expense. All she told me was to save up for that mouthpiece. I'm now with a new dentist and have a much more positive experience with her. read more

Dr Ky's office is run efficiently but everyone there is very pleasant.

My young daughter started with Dr Ky. We were looking for someone who could take on her many problems and also keep her calm. Dr Ky is masterful. After my daughter's great experience my husband decided to try and came out so happy. He had been to 3 different dentists, each telling him something else, everything dire. Dr Ky took on his issues and now he is back on dental track. The whole family goes to Dr Ky. She handles my young son and his drama. She is efficient and effective, a true professional. And she is a really nice, kind person. We all feel so at ease going to her, we know she can handle any issues and also is non-judgmental. Her staff is equally great.
