Called ahead and waiting around an hour and a half for table. They are very busy at this place so long waits and slower service. Not sure if this is always the case but we did have to ask for bread while waiting for our food. We got the fish tacos, the fries that come with these were delicious. They were airy but still crunchy. It's like when Lays came out with the big air potato chip. The taco itself was pretty flavor lacking, we asked for extra sauce and tabasco which came in the mini bottles like the ones you get with oysters. The Lobster Ravioli was quite heavy wasn't a huge fan, it is very very creamy. The Fra Diavolo had amazing portion, it has a combo of all different seafood so you get a bit of everything. This dish was shared but the leftovers were still enough for another 2 meals for me. Overall a good place for the vibes and location. The view was not the prettiest as there is a lot right there. They have a parking lot and even though it's busy it doesn't feel over crowded. Service was okay but did have the get their attention multiple times.

A very enjoyable dinner with my son. Surprised how crowded it was but after eating there understood it. Huge portions and the food to justify it. I started with the clams. They were great, but make sure to ask the price, market price for an appetizer was a little surprising. I really enjoyed the halibut, it was fresh and the sauce added a lot. An excellent meal and would love to go back.

Manager said this is Pan seared when asked if this is normally how they are cooked. They were overcooked and rubbery. The rest of the menu was amazing.

Atmosphere is great, its right by the water. We loved our waitress, she was really lovely. Food portions are huge!!! And most importantly they have pina colada!! We enjoyed our food and will def come back

Came to Seaport Grille for a late lunch. This restaurant's portions are large and filling! Both meals were delicious! We had the Lobster Club and the Fisherman's Platter. Both meals were fresh and tasty. The fries were our favorite! They were so good! The service was phenomenal and on point. Our waitress was on top of refills and ensuring our meal was good. The ambiance of the place is cool! It over looks the harbor area and it was a beautiful day with a nice breeze. Would recommend if you are in the area. Prices are a bit high but you get a lot for what you pay!

The location alone is unbeatable--right on the water with a lively, fun atmosphere and beautiful views of the harbor. Whether you sit inside or out on the deck, the vibe is always welcoming and relaxed. The seafood is as fresh as it gets - exactly what you'd hope for in Gloucester. Portions are also quite generous, so be sure to come hungry. The staff deserves high praise. There was a bit of a mishap with our appetizer not arriving before our entrees. So the manager was kind enough to comp our appetizer and deliver it to us anyways. Blackened Mahi Mahi A very generous portion of perfectly seasoned fish, served with jasmine rice and guacamole. Baked Halibut Again... a very generous portion & well seasoned halibut served with a creamy white sauce & asparagus Seaport Grille is the kind of place you can come to with family, friends, or a date and know you'll have a great meal and a great time.

This is a popular place so definitely reserve ahead as there may be a wait without reservations. It was just me so I got lucky to get a seat at the bar. The bartender was very on point with service and kept refilling my gingerale every time he noticed I was low. He let me know if there were when my food was coming up soon and attentive by asking if everything was good or needed anything. It was my first time in Gloucester and met some great people at the bar. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious. I had the lump crab cakes to start and a fisherman's platter. They give big portions. If you get a margarita it's usually served in a large glass it was the talk of the bar. The other couples got the bang bang shrimp and they said it was good. I saw another couple with the apple crisp and the other with the key lime pie let me tell you it looks like a cake. Our mouths dropped like whoa I want that lol. Maybe on my next trip back I would indulge seriously lol. They had a combination of high tops and bench seating. It was a great atmosphere.

The day got a little rainy, and we had some time before our dinner reservation. We saw Drift and their Harbor views and their TVs playing the third place game of the World Cup. The service was really friendly, and my mom and I enjoyed a glass of wine and a beer, the view, and the game. (They have food, but we were just having some drinks before our dinner reservation.) It was a nice place to relax for a bit after touristing around Gloucester all day!

Disappointing Experience…read more We were really looking forward to ending the night at Drift after my daughter's elopement. We had a group of about 20 people who wanted to come celebrate together.(August 2) I checked the website and calendar ahead of time, which showed that Drift was open until 11:00 PM and advertised a piano sing-along that evening. Since you don't take reservations, I emailed and sent a Facebook message letting you know we were planning to come with a large group around 8:00 PM, but unfortunately never received a response. I also called about a week ahead just to give a heads-up, and was told our group would be written down. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we found that Drift had closed early and the evening we had planned for wasn't happening. I completely understand that businesses sometimes have to change their hours or plans, but when your website and calendar say you're open until 11 and you've specifically been contacted about a group of 20 coming in, it would have been nice to have been notified of the early closing. This was a special night for our family, and we were disappointed that something we had planned and tried to communicate about ahead of time didn't work out. I hope the website/calendar and communication with larger groups can be improved so others don't have the same experience.

A Spectacular Evening of Music at The Cut in Gloucester!…read more The Cut in Gloucester is an exceptional venue that beautifully combines live entertainment, great food, and a welcoming atmosphere, making it one of the North Shore's most enjoyable destinations. My husband and I recently attended a truly unforgettable event there as guests of our daughter and son-in-law, and we left thoroughly impressed by both the venue and the outstanding performance we were fortunate enough to experience. On August 19, we attended the Gloucester Student Band's tour kickoff concert, and it exceeded every expectation. One of the highlights for us was watching our granddaughter perform on clarinet alongside an impressive ensemble of talented young musicians from local schools in Grades 5 through 12. The band's rich sound came from a remarkable combination of flutes, trumpets, alto and tenor saxophones, clarinets, trombones, baritone saxophones, French horn, and percussion, creating a professional-quality performance that filled the venue with energy and excitement. The students brilliantly performed 15 selections, including crowd-pleasing favorites such as Ghostbusters, Mamma Mia, Bohemian Rhapsody, Copacabana, and YMCA. Every piece showcased the dedication, skill, and enthusiasm of these young performers. A special round of applause goes to the band's talented and passionate director, Jamie Green Klopotoski, whose love of music and genuine connection with her students was evident throughout the evening. Her leadership inspired an outstanding performance and created an atmosphere of joy that was contagious. The Cut provided the perfect setting for this dazzling concert. The lighting, sound quality, seating, and overall ambiance enhanced every moment of the performance. We especially enjoyed seeing the outdoor marquee on one of Gloucester's main streets proudly announcing the Gloucester Student Band and the evening's follow-up concert featuring the Reset Button Brass Band, which included Director Jamie Green Klopotoski on saxophone. Adding to the experience was the scenic drive through Gloucester, with its beautiful coastal views and quintessential New England architecture. The venue itself also offers delicious food and even a fun basketball-toss arcade game, making it a wonderful place to spend an evening with family and friends. We highly recommend The Cut to anyone looking for outstanding live entertainment, a comfortable and vibrant venue, and an opportunity to support local talent. This magical evening was filled with music, community spirit, and unforgettable memories that our family will be talking about for years to come. Bravo to The Cut and to the incredible Gloucester Student Band!
