The food is incredible. My husband and I went for my birthday and everything was 10/10. The service was attentive, the steak was flavorful and cut like butter. The sides were such an incredible compliment to our meal. This is our go-to steak house that's NOT in NYC.

Had a great dinner here! Loved the veggie chips to start. The porterhouse steak was cooked to perfection and the red eye tuna dish is a MUST TRY! Overall great meal and I will be back soon!

Met a friend here for lunch. The dining room was not busy, but the ambience was very pretty and inviting. Our food was AMAZING!! - Grilled artichoke appetizer special - French onion soup - Chicken Milanese - *Sea scallops over risotto - Chocolate Lava Cake - Mixed Berries *The only reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars is when my friend got her scallops and cut into them, they were under cooked. She gave them back to the waiter. We waited and upon getting them back, they were her old scallops. On the few occasions I've had to send food back, and considering scallops don't take long to cook, I was surprised they didn't make her a new plate; I wasn't thrilled about that. I asked her how the risotto was and she said it was bland, boring, and not flavorful. Otherwise, the rest of our food was delicious!!! I will definitely be returning!

Oooof! Not sure if I walked into the right place, but I left wondering what all the fuss was about here. Maybe back in the day it was something special, but times change. -Had a tequila drink and couldn't even taste the booze. -Fried Calamari appetizer was fake AF! -Meatball appetizer had too much seasoning. -Tomahawk steak special wasn't even cooked the way I asked and I wasn't pleased with the cut. Too expensive for the quality. Something isn't right here. FYI: Plenty of parking with its large lot in the back. They have an upstairs party room and rooftop.

I have been here before and I like it as much as I did the first time. We were a very large party. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. They have a pretty extensive wine list. We had two bottles of the Terra Doro Zinfandel, Prosecco and Martinis. For the eats, I had the Tuna Panko which was very good. Others had the Tuscan Seafood Stew, Veal Chop, Prime Rib. No complaints. Everything was tasty. We had Tiramisu and the Chocolate Mousse for dessert, along with coffee and tea. I do the like the ambience and overall vibe here. It can be sexy for a date and also great with friends. I definitely would come back.

As you can see from my past reviews this is one of my local favorites, which I would visit for their price fix 3 course lunch specials every Sunday. After more than a year since we moved out of this area I returned here with my family of four for Sunday lunch. We were the second booth to be seated. As we sat more tables were seated and became busier than when we last visited a year ago during lunch. I guess their lunch business is picking up here post COVID. The three of us ordered their price fix 3-course lunch, which is now $29.95. In the past a glass of wine was included, which is no longer included. I started with and enjoyed my two peach martinis. I also enjoyed my baked clams, which were smaller than I last had a year ago. I also enjoyed my 6 ounce medium rare filet mignon with three sauces, mushrooms and vegetables. I opted for their steak au poivre peppercorn sauce. My filet was properly cooked. We mentioned knowing Ben and Carlos, who were off today. Since our waiter noted that we were past regulars he comped us with two desserts to share including a great cheesecake and tiramisu. We ended our lunches with coffee. Tea was also included. We all agreed we will continue to return here for lunch or dinner the next time we visit the area.

Came in on a Sunday evening with 8 people to celebrate my parents' anniversary around 6pm. A couple tables were already seated, but we had a reservation and had no problems being seated right away. We started off with Crispy Fried Calamari, Sear House Salad, and Crab Cakes for the table. I loved the crispiness of the calamari. Not sure if it was by luck or they just routinely do it, but kudos to them for not serving the tentacles with the calamari (not a huge fan of them). The Sear House Salad had the perfect balance of salad to dressing and the crab cakes were perfect. I ordered the Mushroom Risotto for my main entrée. It was delicious and although the sauce looks heavy in the picture, it did not taste heavy. The dish was large enough that it could be shared between 2 people or taken home as leftovers. I only took off 1 star because the tables felt a little too close together for the restrictions that are still in place. Aside from that, we had a great dinner together and I would recommend Sear House for your next special occasion!

There is a beautiful raw bar area, lots of seating, and overall just a really good atmosphere for a group lunch or even drinks after work. The staff was on point the entire time. We were a pretty big group and everything still came out smoothly and nobody ever felt forgotten which I appreciated. We started with oysters and they were fresh and really good. Definitely one of the better things we ordered. The fried calamari was okay but not something I would specifically come back for. The Caesar salad was actually really good and I liked that it had anchovies in it because a lot of places skip that now. I ordered the lobster roll and thought it was the perfect lunch portion. Enough food without feeling too heavy after. Other people at the table ordered burgers, steaks, and pizzas and everyone seemed happy with their meals. The pizzas especially went fast. Overall really good experience. Good food, great service, nice atmosphere, and a menu with enough variety that everyone found something they like.

TVs on. Area was crowded with very loud bargoers. People bumping our chairs, and we honestly could not hear ourselves think. Service was slow. The food was decent. I enjoyed my linguini fruit de mar which had a fresh tomato sauce and lots of different types of seafood. Kids enjoyed the pasta too. My wife had the fig and prosciutto pizza which had that nice sweet fig taste. The apple beignet was delicious but I would not call it a beignet - more like a... pocket? Portions were sizable. New York city prices. $11 for a side of french fries. $36 for my pasta. $75 for a paella for two.

We had a Hugo Spritz and Sidecar to drink and both good, in fact, my wife said the Hugo was like what see had in Sicily except they used lemon and not lime ( they brought lime out). We ordered, the stuffed artichoke, Pollo Portofino, Vitello Barese and tiramisu for dessert. The artichoke was the best we ever had, like old times. The Portofino was made with smoked mozzerella, as it should be and in the recent past was not. I did not try the veal, my wife remarked it was a bit chewy. The tiramisu was good. Our server was both pleasant and attentive. Food was promptly served. At the meals conclusion, they brought out some amaretto with a coffee bean. A thoroughly enjoyable meal. Definitely will be dining there again.

I loved the fried calamari, burrata and prosciutto, and the pear salad. I was most intrigued with the mussel flatbread appetizer. It was topped with a light buttery sauce and garlic. Very good! The meatballs were also a standout for me. In addition to an amazing start to my meal, I loved the cocktail options. From various spritz choices to Negronis, you can tell the cocktail menu was carefully crafted. Verana is known for the best chicken parmigiana. Not only did this dish deliver, but the portion size was unreal. Some of my dining party finished it. However, I have amazing leftovers for today. You have an option to get a side of homemade pasta. I went with the spaghetti. All pasta dishes are made from scratch. Other honorable mentions include the pasta normica and bolognese. Moving on to the sweet dessert options! The cappuccino's had a nice and bold coffee flavor. The pistachio gelato and apple tart were music to my ears! So fresh and really hits any sweet tooth. The tiramisu had a nice pairing of coffee flavor and cinnamon. My first dining experience at Verana will definitely not be my last. Right from the start there were issues. The waitress brought us a cocktail menu so we ordered one each only to have her return and say they were out of cocktails we could have beer or wine. Then another woman presumably a manager said we could get cocktails just not the ones on the menu she explained they were out of certain liquors due to a large weekend event (we were there on Wednesday) she attempted to make her own concoctions they were no to our liking. We did not let her know that because she obviously was trying to do her best. Service was very slow again the manager apologized saying they were short staffed. The food was not bad unfortunately they got my wife's order wrong and at one point they brought our food to the wrong table. The manager was very apologetic and you could tell she wanted to make a good impression for the establishment. When we were ready to pay they did not know how to process the gift card saying the person who could do it was not there. They asked that we leave the gift card and would process the payment and call me so I could return to get the gift card with the remaing balance. I obliged and left all my contact info but they never called back. After a few weeks we finally trekked back over only to be told they had no clue what we were talking about. The lighting is dim, the ambiance is intimate, and it looks romantic. I had made reservations so we were seated immediately. It's funny to note that the place settings were placed next to each other instead of across from each other at a four person table. We usually prefer to face each other, but when it's Valentine's day why not be cute? We ordered a few drinks during our dinner, the Sugar Plum Fairy, Memere 75, Avion en papier. My favorite was definitely the Avion en papier which had a slightly sweet, slightly bitter, citrusy taste. They had a pre fixe menu for Valentine's Day which unfortunately did not have the steak tartare i was interested in trying. But for $88, you get 3 courses: an appetizer, entree, and dessert. For our appetizers, we got the TARTARE DE THON (tuna tartare) and COCKTAIL DE CREVETTES GEANTES (shirmp cocktail). Between the two, i preferred the tuna tartare. The shrimp cocktail was good, but the only thing really special about it was the massive size of the shrimp and the freshly grated horseradish in the cocktail sauce. For our entrees, we got the CASSOULET DE CANARD and FILET MIGNON. The extremely tender duck leg confit was served with pancetta, white beans, toulouse sausage, and foie gras breadcrumb. It was rich, savory, fatty, and filling. All great words to describe food. The duck leg confit reminded me a little bit of a smoked turkey leg with the red coloring and shreddable texture. The filet mignon was served with pomme purée, wild mushrooms, and a bordelaise sauce. The filet was cooked medium rare as requested, but a bit under salted. The pomme purée aka mashed potatoes tasted like it was 50% butter so it was obviously delicious. Dessert was good, but my least favorite part of the meal. We got the TAHITIAN VANILLA CRÈME BRÛLÉE and the VALRHONA CHOCOLAT POT AU CRÈME. Both were very sweet. The brûlée crust did not shatter well, but it otherwise had a nice creamy texture. The chocolate pot was covered in flaky feuilletine which gave a nice contrast to the creamy chocolate, but my wife found the brandied cherries overpowering. The cherries made me think of German chocolate cake. Service was excellent. Staff was quick to refill water and checked on us constantly. Pace of the meal was relaxed and I'd even say they were slow to bring us the check since we had been dining for over 2 hours.
