So I am reluctantly giving this restaurant three stars. I say reluctantly because they tried hard to be attentive, but fell short and the food, while priced like a high end steakhouse also fell short and this is why. First the positives. Lovely atmosphere. The staff was polite and kind. The manager stopped by to chat and check in. The folks with me who ate the strip steak enjoyed it. It was tasty and cooked perfectly as they requested. That's good considering it IS a steakhouse. The negatives. It is not always the case that everyone in the party likes steak or likes every steak. So a good steakhouse will do the other options exceptionally well too. Particularly the meat. Here, they did not. I like ribeye. That's my favorite. They only offer a 24 oz ribeye, however, and since none of my peeps wanted ribeye (curses on them) I was up a creek. I don't like strip or filet. Didn't want pork. But I do LOVE a wedge salad, and few places have one. Steakhouses generally do. So I was quite happy to have one. Until I had it. They did not do it well. At all. First, the bacon... while it clearly began as a few lovely generous lardons, ended up four over cooked, hard as rocks bacon chunks. The chicken was dry and terribly overcooked. Hard on the edges. I would expect a steakhouse to get the grilled chicken breast correct. And the bacon is inexcusable. When the salad costs $30, you have to nail it. Could I have sent it back? I'm sure I could have. But looking at the neighbors' table, theirs looked the same so I figured what's the point. And I didn't want to be a Karen about a salad in a steakhouse. And I wasn't holding up my table's meal for a redo on a salad. At the end of the day, if you don't get something this simple correct, it is a fail. I'm sorry to say that. Truly. But it requires addressing. There are too many other options for good steak that do these non-steak elements right too. read more

We were visiting from out of town and decided to stop by 103 Prime Steak without a reservation and they still took great care of us. From the moment we walked in, the hospitality was top-notch. The food was absolutely phenomenal, perfectly prepared and full of flavor. A special shout out to our server, Fabio, who truly went above and beyond. My father and I enjoyed my meal here very much. I had a steak cooked to perfection. It was delicious. Tender and juicy. My dad had the pasta special and he raved about it. It did look wonderful. The pasta was clearly fresh not dried. The tomato sauce looked very nice. The bread was fresh and crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Just how you want Italian bread. It is up there in price, but aren't all steakhouses now? The point is - you will get your money's worth here. read more

So I initially gave this restaurant 2 stars because they did accommodate us due to our reservations mix up, but after a subpar meal, a horrible experience with our credit disappearing and zero customer service on Mother's Day weekend as it really did dampen my Mother's Day experience, I have removed the 2 stars and made it 1star. As a former business owner I know mistakes can happen and it's up to the manager to make the experience of the diner to leave as happy as you can possibly make them. The response of management is in their response sums up our experience in a nutshell. It was my mistake not to have left when we realized our reservation error. Extremely disappointing. Prices seemed fair at first but food was very subpar for what you pay. Took 30 minutes to get our 2 appetizers, took another 45 minutes to get 2 salads. Steaks were very dry, not even a little bit of juice came out when cutting into it. I asked for my filet mignon to be cooked medium rare, it came seared and that's about it, it was completely raw (blue rare). They just took the multiple pieces of cut up filet mignon and cooked it longer. Sautéed vegetables tasted like they were sautéed in water, extremely plain and boring. Baked potatoes, somehow, were not good. We asked for loaded baked potatoes with butter and bacon on the side. We were told it comes with butter, cheese, sour cream, bacon, and chives. What we got was a potato with cheese and bacon on the side. No sour cream, no chives, no butter on the side. We had to ask for everything. All in all, they offered us a free dessert which we declined, and there was no other effort to make up for what was clearly a very disappointing experience. The manager was involved in "correcting" some of the hiccups and he did not come to speak with us once in order to address the multiple mistakes that were made. Kid approved pasta! Not a big dessert guy but they were phenomenal! Grand slam ice cream was amazing and the chocolate layer cake would recommend! Ambiance is a bit loud as there no segregation between the bar and dining room however not too loud that you can't have a convo. Service amazing, Fabio is an incredible manager. OMG So I've been with my Ramsey NJ North American based company for fifteen years. I guess sticking around has some perks after all those years... We have never been invited as a team to such a swanky place. But we are leading the country and the rest of the world in hitting our numbers. Although our senior VP didn't say it, I figured this was a celebratory event for a job well done. And that because of global supply Chain issues, the pandemic, zoom etc we haven't been able to gather as a group at HQ for many years. We all felt under dressed as the valet only parking let out other patrons dressed as if going to the symphony. Swanky inside like someone's house in the woods. Because we were a party of 20 they put us in the front room by ourselves. Like a thanksgiving family dining room. The apps were great, meatballs, calamari fritti, but pork belly converted me! I hate pork belly! Gummy, gelatinous grossness! This was more like a cross between county ham and a pork chop. Damn!!! I thought I ordered the rib eye steak, like most others... and was concerned when everyone else was politely looking at me waiting for mine to be placed in front of me as they had already received theirs. By the way the waitress served us all night by her lonesome. She was amazing! So it was a bit awkward with everyone waiting for my plate so they could eat.... Then thud! She plunked down a brontosaurus sized porterhouse steak on a platter not a plate. oh Shitza! That was the most expensive dish on the menu and what a putz am for ordering it! Before I could protest the big boss said "well done that looks amazing." So I guess I should not say anything and just eat it. Well it's hard to share when 90° if the table all got streaks! But the big boss had pasta, so I promptly sent my platter to the end of the table to have her take some. The big ass bone was already neatly severed from the meat which was cut in little half ounce medallions. She took a couple. She thanked me and the table kinda went silent as now everyone had their meal and could dig in. A couple of minutes later... "Oh my gawd!" I look up and she's in rapture with an empty fork poised in front of her face, gently chewing with utter delight. A couple of steak eaters suddenly got FOMO. And reached their forks toward my platter. I didn't protest at all. Feeling less guilty and a bit redeemed and certainly not greedy because that thing must've been 3 lbs! I'm not a huge steak lover, but this was by far the best steak I've had in 25 years! Ok maybe 50... but hell, it's the new standard by far! The accompanying Mac n cheese, sautéed mushrooms asparagus were also so damn good!!! Then they brought an dizzying array of dessert combos that also were freaking amazing! While dessert was served and the big boss decided that was a good time to exit. So I promptly handed her my doggie bag of porterhouse leftovers, probably about half lb, worth thanked her for an amazing week and dinner. She said "whhhhhhhaaaaaat ? You are giving this to me?" Of course I say... I'm in a hotel you can use this better than me. That got me a hug even tho she had just received a flu and Covid booster shot and both arms were sore as heck! Whew... dodged a bullet there! I don't want to be known as...that guy who ordered the most expensive steak! Sharing is caring! Oh.... I was pleasantly surprised by this little gem of a restaurant. It's tucked away in Park Ridge, NJ. I highly recommend it for the food, service and ambience. Me and my husband met with a friend there for dinner. We started off with the stuffed mushrooms and meatballs for appetizers. For dinner, my husband had the steak burger with fries, I had the spaghetti cacio e uova and my friend had the chicken francese. And finally for dessert, we had the chocolate cake and tartufo. Well, as I indicated in my review from five years ago I was not going to hurry back to 103 Prime, and I didn't. However, our return visit last night was a huge step up from before. We were shown to a nice table and the festivities commenced. Drinks and appetizers were ordered, and I'm giving a big shout-out to the fried cauliflower appetizer. It was fantastic and very tasty, and even though it was shared by two of us it was more than enough. The caesar salad also got high marks from our friends. One issue we had with our last visit was portion size. This was not a problem now, as my dish was a beautiful and large chunk of panko-crusted tuna. Grilled shrimp was happily consumed, along with chicken Milanese and the Berkshire pork chop. Throughout the meal our server would come by and refill water glasses and take care of any requests. For dessert I would definitely recommend the zeppoli, although the selection of gelato flavors also scored high marks. It was a terrific meal, and I won't be waiting another five years before my next visit. read more

Welcomed so warm and they sat us at a perfect table in the bar room. Started with cauliflower app that was scrumptious came with a great sauce. Shared a plate of basil pesto gnocchi omggggg soft light pillows of heaven. Buddy order dozen oysters and he said they were super fresh. I ordered a New York strip that was a huge piece of cooked perfectly meat. So crusty outside and super pink inside. Buddy ordered a cowboy that could choke a horse. The girls ordered cheeseburgers that they said where the best ever had. They had a chunk of bacon on top that was like a piece of steak. After all the delectable food we made room for desserts. All were great but what stole the show were there zeppoles they were so soft like heavenly angels Came with a chocolate dipping sauce. Have to say this was one best steak houses I've been to in a while. Yes. Real your piggy bank but it's worth it for sure Valet parking always a good touch. This is a must go. Came here for the first time with my boyfriend the other night and was really impressed! I have been trying to safely venture out during covid and was happy to try a new spot. The food was really fresh and tasted great. They have quite a few outdoor seating options and you can call to make a reservation. All the seats are under a large tent so no need to worry in case it happens to rain. As far as the food goes we started with the oysters and the tuna tartar. The oysters were super fresh, 6 come to an order. The tuna tartar was also really tasty and come with a spicy mayo sauce and some bread crisps. For dinner we opted for the scallops and the tuna. The tuna was a little well done on the outside so I was worried it may be overcooked, but was pink on the inside and super flavorful. The scallops were pan seared a topped with the great summer corn succotash. The scallops were seared perfectly and paired really well with the sauce. Our server was hit or miss. The bus boy and the food runners paid a little more attention to us than our server but overall didn't really both me just something to note. You can also bring your own wine bottle for a $25 corkage fee. Gotta love NJ! Would definitely recommend for some good eats for an upscale date night or nice family dinner. read more

We pass this place all the time and we always say we need to try it. Friends overheard us and highly recommended it. I remembered to make a reservation and surprised my wife for a nice night out for 2! We were really impressed with the whole experience. Really nice atmosphere and super attentive staff. I had looked at the menu the day prior and knew we would have some tough decisions to make as the have a great steakhouse style menu but, also a lot of other things mainly in the Italian category, our waiter Marc as well as the manager, Fabio were very helpful and were on top of their game. We thought we had our order down pat until they came out with a whole bunch of nightly specials, Wound up going with the Burratta App which was very good. Also had the bacon which is a typical steak house staple and it hit the spot and it was cooked with a nice char. I ordered the NY strip which was a great cut of meat and cooked to perfection. And although it wasn't really our target, we had one of the best chicken francese we have ever had- the sauce was downright amazing! Forgot to mention that my wife mixed it up with a few seasonal cocktails that she found very thoughtful and well done. We would up over ordering food and packing up a lot to take home so, we wound up skipping dessert but, that looked great as well. Was so disappointed in our dinner here last night. Service was abysmal, food delivered incorrectly, empty drinking glasses and trying to get someone's attention was almost impossible. Food was very delayed and once it finally came some of our meals were burnt or swimming in too much gravy or very bland. No one came to see if we were happy with our meals or offered cheese or pepper etc. Ordered coffee and a dessert. Our coffee was completely finished and the server forgot our dessert. Internet menu on their website is not what the restaurant menu is. Pricing is substantially higher in the restaurant than what they post online and menu is very limited. They need to decide if they are either an Italian restaurant or a steak restaurant. They don't do either very well. Won't be going back. read more

2 1/2 Stars...Our meals could have been better. Lovely interior, multiple small dining areas, very pretty and cozy. Nice bar area. Staff and server were very friendly. Nice wine menu. Reasonable pour on the glass of wine. Dinner took over 3 hours and the restaurant wasn't busy on a Tuesday night. Appetizer..Fried cauliflower was good, Aioli sauce just tasted like mayo. Dinner...Filet Mignon was very tender and good quality, but..the garlic confit and butter coating on the steak gave it an odd taste and not in a good way. I think they used some other spice as well. Wish they hadn't used it. Porterhouse Steak was ordered medium but served rare. Since they slice the steak before serving it, we didn't feel sending it back was an option. No good way to re-cook a sliced steak successfully. Disappointing since I hate rare meat. I ate the edges of the steak. The steak had a fair amount of connective tissue so it was a bit chewy in spots. Took home the leftovers and made an expensive soup. They used the same coating as mentioned above. Sides: mashed potatoes were dry and tasteless, rapini was a bit undercooked and very bitter (we all love rapini). Dessert: Zeppoli (served hot) was delicous with an amazing chocolate sauce, but..a bit gummy on the inside but still very tasty. read more

They offered us a tomahawk steak for $170 but we split a ribeye instead. It was almost as tender as a filet mignon but tastier of course. Wine by the glass was quite good but expensive. Wasn't pleased with the dessert. Spent two hundred before tip. Will return but only for a special occasion. read more

It still taste as good as it was before. I used to get scallops and chicken parm all the time. Their pasta is really top notch. They have the best gnocchi I've ever tried in my life. It has perfect mix of gorgonzola and gnocchi is soft and cooked perfectly. Eggplant parm was also nothing like I've had at other Italian locations. Each eggplant slice is cooked perfectly and layered with cheese and tomato sauce. The spaghetti that comes with the parm is al dente. Short rib was my least favorite as it was a bit overcooked and not as soft as I had expected but the portion was humongous. And the sauce was fantastic.
