Great food - we came in for a late lunch today and definitely ordered with our eyes!! Hubby and I shared the wings and then the rib eye steak sandwich with au jus...we were able to split the wings and get half Thai Chili wings and half buffalo...both were great. Honestly couldn't decide which we liked better. Then we shared the steak sandwich - they split it into 2 plates; both with fries and Cole slaw. We always appreciate when a restaurant does that without our asking - it's a nice touch. Stopped in for lunch and had a really solid experience. The food was the highlight. The Guinness Short Rib Chili was rich, hearty, and full of flavor. We also tried the Goffle Road Farm's Chicken Bruschetta, which was fresh and well balanced. The fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, onions, arugula, pesto mayo, and balsamic reduction all worked perfectly together. The Chicken Sandwich was another win. The buttermilk fried chicken breast was crispy and juicy, and the roasted peppers, poblano ranch, lettuce, and onions added great flavor without overpowering it. Service at the bar with Sean is always exceptional. He takes care of the bar and the tables in the room as well, no easy task. The food is always exceptional. It's not just your ordinary Irish Pub food, the chef brings it to a different level. My kids had the French onion soup, the base/broth was spot on. The Mac and cheese was delicious, although we prefer our pasta a bit more cooked, it was al dente and next time we will ask. Our sandwiches were delicious as were the short rib entree. The only big disappointment was the fish and chips. The one thing we always look to have and my son was not happy with the fish. It was so soggy and when you order fish and chips you expect it to me crunchy and fresh and it was not. Maybe a bad day for the chef, but not good at all. Other wise all was good. We will be back. After a delicious lunch today my daughter and I were almost out the door when our server came running after us. He held out a $100 bill my daughter had dropped from her purse onto the seat. He could easily had kept it and we would not have known for awhile. This is a good man. My daughter is presently out of work and that cash would have been missed. There are good people in this world. Biddy O'Malley's never disappoints! The French onion soup is OUTSTANDING--I swear I think about that soup daily. So rich, flavorful, and that cheese on top was perfectly melted and bubbly. Honestly, everything about it was amazing. We also had the artichoke dip--hot, cheesy, and full of flavor. For dinner, I had the Mahi Mahi with forbidden rice and it was delicious. We also tried another fish dish with risotto (can't remember the name) but it was just as great. Service was super attentive, and I've been here before just for the bar area, but the food keeps bringing me back. Definitely a go-to spot! read more

After about five years, I stopped in for dinner again and found it to be an improved experience. The restaurant has a dark, moody decor, but on a Sunday evening, sitting by the indoor fireplace made for a cozy atmosphere. It was busy but still comfortable. We had sandwiches--both were tasty. Great place to have a hearty meal and drink. Brought our 4.5 year old son and he loved it too. Some of the best chili I've ever had, and burger and steaks are cooked perfect. Cozy atmosphere without being stuffy. Biddy has my heart. Food really was better than expected. not your average pub. I tried the fried brussels sprouts (YES, even if you dont like brussel sprouts), chicken wings (yes) and fried mozzarella (10000% yes). Been to this establishment for lunch about a dozen times for work discussions. Having a hard time deciding on 4 or 5 stars. Food (4.5) Service (4.6) Ambiance (4.5) I always enjoy anything I order. Not on any diet but for some reason I often order and love the Beet and Goat Cheese salad and often get it with Salmon on top. Nuts, seeds, and other goodies prepared just right. The salmon is huge so I sometimes take some home. Burgers and chicken cutlet sandwiches are also great. Their house fries are superb btw, a weakness. Their servers are exceptional, experienced and understand the right amount of attention during a business lunch. The ambiance is pub-like yet their dining room is very well set up with perfect booths for business discussions. Ok, just decided, you get a 5 from this tough grader!! The fish and chips were so soft and crunchy at the same time, they did a good job cooking it. I haven't seen Scottish eggs on the menu in a while so I was happy to see they had them and boy they did not disappoint. The traditional lamb shepherd's pie was also delicious, it was a cozy meal. The only call out would be the chicken pot pie as the crust was over cooked and a bit tough to bite into. However, the flavors were delicious and we enjoyed the meal overall. This is an update after the restaurant operations manager reached out to me following my unfortunate take-out experience back in May. He heard me out and also gave me their side of the story which I won't go into as it's rather personal, but promised to make it right. I refused any monetary compensation, so he offered to comp our next meal, which I accepted. Sean the ops manager went above & beyond to take my comped order over phone about 2 wks after the incident, and personally delivered it to our office, which was a nice gesture. Obviously a 5/5 for Service. And here's how the food fared: 1. French Dip Sandwich (5/5, Entree) - This is what replaced the problematic steak sandwich, and it showed. Meat wasn't tough & tendon-y anymore, was cooked perfectly, and the bread was warm & flaky. An easy-like for me and a co-worker who each enjoyed it 2. Biddy's House Salad (3/5, App) - A salad is a salad, but the bacon bits were a bit too thick and tough for my liking, and they slightly overdid the goat cheese crumbles as it was overall too salty and we had to take some out 3. Chicken Sandwich (4/5, Entree) - My wife ordered this, and while it was flavorful, it was a bit on the dry side, unlike how I remember it from before at the englewood location. Maybe a bit more sauce/veggie topping inside? 4. Biddy O'Malley Burger (3/5, Entree) - Usually a crowd favorite, my colleague who had it wasn't too impressed. It looked quite a bit greasier than I remember it when it was put elegantly on the plate in Englewood location. 5. Chocolate & Vanilla cakes (4/5, Dessert) - This was on the house. They were tasty though not amazingly so. Appreciated having dessert after. So what's the verdict? It was overall a pleasant and good office lunch and we certainly all appreciated Biddy and esp. Sean's efforts to make it right. Perhaps the comparison to their Englewood location isn't fair because the vibe is totally different (this one is a bit more divey whereas the englewood location was more refined & modern) and it consistently shows through the foods. I will give them a visit when I'm in the area although I am generally not a fan of dark & divey places... but it's always popping during lunch so I must! We were excited to find Biddy O'Malley's only few minutes drive from us, it's a very beautiful (from outside) restaurant, good for a cozy intimate dine-in experience. We spontaneously decided to go there for dinner on President's day. We got seated right away without any delays. Through out our dine-in we had wonderful attentive service. They have a decent amount of variety in their menu. I had a difficult tome picking an item to try, out of so many. I eventually went with the Snapper as I really wanted to try the sauce and mango salsa. The fish was cooked well, but I felt the rice, salsa and sauce didn't enhance the dish too much. Would have been nice to have little bit extra punch in the sauce to make the dish more appealing. I also tried the crab cake, was decent, and Brussels sprouts, really well made, enhanced with the aioli sauce. Felt that aioli could have made my snapper taste better :p They were very kind to bring us our dessert cake at the end with a small candle to celebrate the birthday of our family member. Overall we had a wonderful dinner. We were really glad to find Biddy so close to our home. Will be stopping by more times to try other items from the menu. read more

Wonderful local restaurant in Norwood! Excellent service from beginning to end. Small/mid size dining area with tables and booths. It has a bar at the end. Came for my dad's bday. We had onion soup, fried Brussels sprouts, crab cake(got to eat it with salad at the bottom, too salty for me), fish&chip, chicken Milanese(a little dry) , and halibut. Tiramisu for dessert. Absolutely love the lighting here. It's dark and cozy with the fireplace roaring. The booths are great. The service is attentive and efficient. We had the schnitzel and short ribs both the special and the one on the regular menu. Everything was very good. Mash potatoes were a little underwhelming.
