I'm giving this a place star because the staff and customer service was great. The location great. The food was not good. I received a call after ordering that the menu had been adjusted and the item I requested was no longer available. The atmosphere was good once I arrived. The host was super nice. The place was clean. The food just needs work. My order was missing ingredients and the carrots were not cooked and everything just was downhill. The food is in plastic containers and just slapped in the box. I been to better diners. Also spoke to the manager and he agreed to the fix the order on the next time around. The food was ok but crazy overpriced for the quality. They also were out of 75% of what our large group tried to order. They only had two beers and one wine available at the time. I have heard others go there since and it wasn't so poor. The waitress was nice. read more

We came in for dinner Saturday night and the place was super busy because of Valentine's Day. The hostess was friendly and apologized for the wait and then suggested the bar. The bar was full but there was an extra table that seated six. We joined another couple and had a lovely time. The food was delicious!! We had the Mahi Mahi tacos which were savory and perfectly prepared. I loved the subtle bite of the sauce. We also had the steak salad with Gorgonzola dressing and it was amazing. Drinks were great and the service was fast even the the restaurant was busy. To be noted...this restaurant is under new management and Brandon, part owner/chef has created a dynamic menu and his talents come out in every dish. Found out today they offered brunch so we decided to give it a try. I'm not sure if its new because the brunch drink menu was on a piece of paper so might be! Tupelo Honey in Raleigh has a great selection of non alcoholic brunch drinks which is nice but the only options were a few different bloody mary's and mimosas. My husband ordered the french toast and while it was definitely good there wasn't really anything special about it would have loved to see better bread, stuffed french toast, etc to really elevate it. I ordered the biscuits and gravy and the biscuits were amazing very fluffy and moist. The gravy flavor and texture was the best I have ever had but there was barely any sausage in it which was a little dissapointing. Not terrible, but not great. Went here for brunch for the first time this past Sunday. The menu was much abbreviated from what I had seen online. No burger, no hash brown casserole (which is one of the reasons I selected this restaurant). We ordered a Moscow mule and a "Man-Mosa." Wasn't really sure what that would be, but the waitress said they didn't have any brunch drink menus printed, so we just went with it. The mule was decent but the man-mosa was room temp champagne, maybe a shot of vodka, and maybe orange soda. Not great. We ordered biscuits and gravy, a side salad of bacon, and the Belgian waffle platter. The biscuits were quite obviously from a can (you know, like the pilsbury flaky ones) with gravy that had sliced breakfast sausage in it. Some of the bacon was burnt and some of it was underdone. "Belgian" waffle was round, but not sure that make it Belgian. The waffle was floppy and cold. Eggs come with the waffle platter but I asked for a swap of another side: breakfast potatoes. The waitress said they were out of breakfast potatoes (how?). I requested the mac and cheese instead. She said there would be an up charge (which was fine). I got literally one scoop of mac and cheese for a $2 up charge in place of scrambled eggs. The mac was actually great, just think a larger serving would have been more fair. Since this is a steakhouse and not a brunch spot, maybe it is to be expected that it wouldn't be great. Might try again but for dinner next time. read more

My husband ordered the brisket and it was not edible. He tried and could not chew it. When we told the waitress she was very apologetic and said she would let the manager know. We never saw a manager and when the bill was brought over there was a 6.50 credit. He did NOT eat the brisket and they only gave us a 20 percent discount and no one even bothered to come and speak to us. We said nothing and paid the bill but this is not good customer service and we will not be back. PS the waitress told us no one likes the brisket if you had asked I would have told you when you come here order a steak???????? Also I sent my steak back 3 times because it was not cooked and finally gave up. read more

I'm giving this place 2 stars based on the service at the front alone.. I have come to this restaurant twice to eat.. both times I have been told there is a 30 min wait.. not a problem at all.. put my name on the waitlist both times.. was told they would text me when our table was ready.. after waiting 1 hour the first time and 1 hour and 40 minutes tonight with no text and a nasty attitude when I went to ask about our table...I was told both times "you must have given us the wrong number" ...I can't judge the food because we haven't made it that far..but after tonight I doubt I will try again! read more

Just ate brunch here. ordered omelet and I have to say that it was the first time I had a blackened omelet. Dry as a bone but really large. Side order of dry toast was $3.00 for one piece of toast. Would not recommend this place due to cost and quality of food. read more

Came here for brunch on Sunday and service was okay but the food was not good at all. Before we got sat we got told it was going to be a 20 min wait before we could order food but we ended up not getting our food for another hour. We paid 16$ for an omelet that was undercooked inside and tasted like sink water. I could've made a better one at home. The home fries tasted like they were from a frozen bag also. The food was great, steaks cooked exactly how was ordered. All apps were great, ahi tuna, artichoke, and buffalo dip. The sauce that comes with the ahi tuna is amazing. The service was also good. The only reason one star is off is because the mashed potatoes tasted like red lobsters, not bad just not great. The lights also flickered and I dislike that. The knives were very sharp but the forks did not match the other silverware. Also there was a light missing in the mens restroom. We sat down at the bar this evening (Saturday night); me, my wife, and my 21 yr old daughter. It was 6:30pm and the dining room had a few open tables but the bar was open except for 2 people (bar easily seats 10). We sat down at the bar and were addressed in a timely fashion for drinks and handed menus (2 bartenders, both women with long dark hair). Drinks were served in the anticipated time and they were good! From this point we sat with our menus at a 10-12 seat bar... only 2 other seats filled... for 30 minutes without another word or eye contact from either of the 2 "bartenders." During that 30 minutes what can only be described as a regular came in and sat at the end of the bar, right next to us, literally one seat over. He was doted upon by both bar tenders and a manager (perhaps.. not sure of her exact role), but all the while it literally felt like we were non existent by the "bartenders" that clearly demonstrated a zero percent appreciation for customer service. They spoke about how slow it had been that evening and this was reflected in their tip earnings. Meanwhile there were 3 of us listening to this banter at the bar ready to place a full dinner order. When one of the 2 "bartenders" finally did address us after close to 40 minutes after serving our drinks she asked, "how are we doing over here?" We stated that we were ready to place our dinner order. She said ok and walked away to grab a notepad. We were still ALL IN with Seared Chophouse. Right up until the hapless bartender told us she could take our order (after 40+ minutes) but said it might take "a while" before the order gets put in. I abruptly asked for the check. We then went to Ninos, and we experienced the same 10 out of 10 service and quality we always receive there. Decision well made; money well spent. Take a look at my history. I'm not particularly active on YELP; but I almost NEVER give a negative review. I try to ignore the lows and highlight the highs. The food needs work. If their gonna be charging the prices they are for the food they need to at least make it worth it because I definitely felt like it was a waste. I got the creole Alfredo it was so disgusting, I could not eat it. The server and manager was very nice I told the server I just could not eat it the manager came to talk to me and asked what would I like in place of it and had it out quickly. Good ambiance for a steakhouse. Nice and friendly waitstaff. The steaks were tasty although all of the ones my family ordered were pinker than anticipated. We did not send them back because they still tasted very good. Would have enjoyed a baked potato option for a side, but the potato options available were good. Brocolini could have been more tender. The salads were very good and of generous size. The salmon was very good. BBQ chicken and rice also good. A good place to celebrate a special occasion. read more
