Jake was professional and courteous. He arrived and spent time explaining things to me. He evaluated the situation and found out exactly what was wrong. Poor scheduling. Sears rescheduled two days in a row. Had to cancel service with them as I had other appointments. Could not get hold of a representative as I could not find a way too. Also, Sears could not narrow down the appointment time to less than an eight hour window. read more

This is not at all for the service technicians, all three in Boise were lovely and I know this isn't their fault. Everything is this company is now AI, I tried so hard to reach an actual person to complain and talk about my scheduling issues but never could. We started with an issue with our dishwasher in December. They came out and fixed it quickly in January, but when we ran it there was another problem and we had to reach out again. After that we kept getting scheduled and rescheduled for over a month, the proof is attached in text messages. So frustrating. We would rearrange our schedule to be home on a certain day and they wouldn't text they weren't coming until late in the afternoon. The fact that this company has gotten rid of any customer service or managers is ridiculous! I can't imagine how the poor techs must feel having to be the only humans to face the wrath of us pissed off consumers. I hate it here literally go anywhere else. read more

I, like many of the other customers whose reviews I have read, found this service to be sub-par. Understand, we have used this repair service for years with few complaints. However, they are now owned by a company called Transformco, and although I cannot say they are the cause of the terrible customer service, it sure has changed. You cannot ever talk to a human, regardless the numbers you find on line, they claim to be sending updates to my email or texts to my cell phone. I have used the same cell and email for over 20 years. The only way I found out they kept changing my appointment was to call their automated system. BOO! read more

This company was used for my home warranty. They replaced my dryer drum with the wrong part, essentially destroying my dryer. The new appliance company confirmed this, now I have to have my dryer replaced. I had a matching set, until now. Beware!! Find a different company. The technician failed to fix the issue on the first visit (although he did try) and then on the second visit said he needed to pull the dishwasher out of the counter, which is fine, but then asked me to sign a waiver so that if he scratched the floor he wouldn't be responsible (a truly unreasonable request). I declined and he told me I would need to contact a different repair company, packed up his tools, and left. It was one of the most unprofessional things I have ever experienced. Perhaps the company should provide the technicians training on how to not scratch the floors, or they could also trust their technicians to do a professional job and not scratch the floors, either way, SEARS should take responsibility for their quality of service instead of asking their customers to be liable for errors. read more

SEARS HOME WARRANTY is the biggest failure as far as customer service and keeping their promises I have had!!! This service after calling a Sears repairman that he guaranteed me that it would pay for itself in a year, I'll have paid for multiple months at $69.95 every month and they have failed to fix my dishwasher which they say it was an existing a problem before I had the warranty. WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN? So they refuse to fix that! I've been waiting 4 for them to come and repair my dryer! I've had to wash my clothes and schlep over to a laundromat to dry them. For 4 different months I've had multiple calls at least two a week into the Sears warranty customer service. AND they have not yet to have my dryer fixed!!Always they say they will have the part at my house within five to seven business days. The part never shows up! They scheduled a repairman to come out and put the part in in two weeks after the parts supposed to show up and they never follow up. I have yet in 4 months to have my dryer fixed. I told them I wanted my money returned for the last 4 months since they have not honored my warranty and had it fixed! Nothing ever comes up! I've had one manager on duty call me back in 4 mos.after my multiple calls and complaining of two to three times a week! And nothing comes of it. THEN you have to pay $100 deductible to the service man that comes out to cover his time and cost,I guess? But it has never been fixed so now after about 6 months with Sears Home Warranty I finally cancelled the credit card so they could no longer continually steal money from my account without following through on their promises to fix anything. If you ask me, DO NOT anyone enter into the Sears Home WARRANTY to fix your appliances, washer, dryer, heating, air conditioning or anything with Sears there's a reason they're going out of business... I wish I would of read these reviews before I signed up with this scam. Put in a complaint about our refrigerator water not working. Guy came out... ordered a part. Another month another guy replaces it. Still doesn't work. March a 3rd guy comes out, orders a control board. He comes out again to fix it and it's the wrong piece. "Sears will be in touch in 48 hours" guess what... no call. So I call and they tell me I need to contact the manufacturer to get the part. WTF? Covid... cannot get anyone at Samsung parts on the phone or to call me back, tried three separate times. I call sears back to cancel this bs and ask them what they would do if they were me. ( this is now June) All of a sudden this is a "manufacturer defect" (of course this isn't covered by Sears) you think they could of told me that back in April? Nope, kept charging me 50 bucks a month. I would of canceled on the spot if I would have been told this information. Also just because they don't have the part how the heck is this a "manufacturer defect" it worked fine for 10 years. -scam. 80% of the "customer service" people you talk to can't speak comprehensible English. So here I am 6 months later still no refrigerator water and out probably about 500 bucks horrible service and customer service. All they care about is getting that money. What a joke!!!! First I called to confirm that my fridge was still under warranty. hung up on when transferred. Thanks for that. Called back. Got transferred correctly this time. On hold for what felt like 5 min. Spoke to a nice girl that spoke really good English and she confirmed that my fridge is covered. Yay for that! This should be easy. Transferred to Kim..(not so good English) She was having a hard time understanding me AND having computer problems. It was a frustrating conversation that ended up with me getting transferred back to the "warranty department" I spoke with Maria (also hard to understand) Finally got the appointment scheduled for Thurs. After confirming the price on everything. Thats right still going to be out a few hundred bucks even under warranty, she tells me Thurs is full and will Fri work, Fine, just get someone out here to fix my fridge and get me off this phone call. What a joke. I love YELP because in this case its a group of people that all hate this company and we just want to tell our stories. Sears wont change. Sears doesnt care. Worst repair ever! Paid 350 dollars for labor on a compressor that was under warranty and supposedly replaced and it still doesn't work! My frig and freezer are room temperature. He never checked to see if the refrigerator worked when he was done! I had to set up another appointment for next week so they can fix what they never fixed last week. I also had to throw out all my food from the refrigerator and freezer because of their incompetence. read more

The service repair agent (after failing to show or notifying on a prior day) showed up on Friday. The repair agent noted the code on the oven, told me that the control board had failed, looked up the part on his phone, and stated that the board is no longer available. He then asked for the $99.00 and left. The code had been told to the Sears scheduler on the phone after calling when the agent failed to show or notify the prior day. So two things 1) lack of courtesy to notify that the agent would show the prior day, and 2) sending a repair agent instead of simply telling me that the board is not available. It seems Sears appliance repair is interested in furthering their business interest only and not really interested in resolving customer affairs. read more

TERRIBLE repairman who came to our home on 8/24/18. He should be fired. Our refrigerator/freezer was not working and he couldn't find anything wrong with it. I told him I'd looked online with the symptoms and thought it needed a new coil. He said it was probably because it was dirty. What?!? Imagine his surprise when he pulled out our fridge to see it spotless AND vacuumed! So he said it would return to normal function within 24 hours. Of course it did NOT. This was on a Friday. I woke up early on Saturday to determine that it was still not working. Called immediately and they can't come out until Monday - three more days without my refrigerator. It took the man less than 5 minutes to determine that it needed replacement parts. Unfortunately, it will take another ten days for them to arrive and for an installer appointment. This is unfortunate, and we are still waiting. However, the first man needs to go. Do you hear me, Sears? read more

Including the appointments that were cancelled or just didn't show up in the agreed upon window, Sears has had me by the short hairs for 7 visits that have still not fixed my Kenmore elite refrigerator. Each time, I have to take off work only to be told they don't have the part, part will be mailed to me. 2-3 weeks pass, they show up and "repair "the fridge. Each time I have to call them back to let them know it is still not working. I have the extended warranty that covers everything, but they can't repair it. I have been down since May 25th. Still do not have a working fridge. Every time I call, they reschedule for two-three weeks out. What a joke. I have been a customer of Sears for 35 years. Tools, appliances, and lawn equipment. I will NEVER shop with them again. The warranty is worth the paper it's written on. With all of the food, time, and frustration it would have been cheaper to get a reputable repair company out. I looked at reviews on Google, looks like I am not the only one that has these same problems. You would think they would try to address these issues. But, I guess there are enough of us suckers out there buying their crappy appliances and worthless extended warranties to keep them in business. Can't help but wonder if this is part of the problem as to why they are struggling to stay in business.
