i've had the worse experience with sears carpet cleaning @ 718-921-6900; 914-533-1285! i originally had a confirmed appointment for 11/19/2021, a morning appointment, sears called to cancel saying that they were short a tech for that day. they said they would come the next day by 5p. they didn't come...on monday, november 29th i spoke with a man named dave and rescheduled for today, december 2nd. last night a man called to say that they would be here between 8a-11a....i called 914-533-1285 at 10:45a to get a eta, i was told they didn't know where their person was...i called to 718-921-6900 to speak with dave...i was told that dave is out, possibly with the flu and no one knew when davewould be back. unless you have a month or two to get your carpets cleaned don't call these numbers! very poor service, very unprofessional! read more

18 months ago, I had a brand new carpet installed at my rental property in Matawan in preparation for my new tenants. Fast forward to the present day ... The tenants from hell finally moved out. The place is disgusting. Everything is grimy and gross, the walls are full of holes, and until this afternoon, the carpet was filthy, stained, and reeked of dog urine. Needless to say, those slobs won't be getting much (if any) security money returned to them. Last week, I called Sears Carpet and Upholstery Care and made an appointment for today to have the carpet cleaned and deodorized. Phil and Jerry left about an hour ago. Those two are miracle workers! What a difference. First, they treated the carpet with something that removes pet odors, then they steamed the filth away. Now the carpet looks and smells like I never had bad tenants! If you live in Central New Jersey and need your carpets cleaned, call Sears Carpet and Upholstery Care and request Phil and Jerry. They're simply nice guys that are professional, friendly, and most importantly, they do a good job. Unlike certain other carpet cleaning businesses, (I'm talking to you, Stanley Steamer) these guys don't pester you to buy add-on services that you don't need. The job is done at a reasonable price and it takes less than an hour if you have a small 600 sq ft apartment like mine. I don't know where this company's "home base" is, but I'm assuming it's in Monmouth or Middlesex County. If anyone can provide more information about location, hours, and/or website, be my guest. Now to find someone to spackle and sand the walls and do a bit of touch up painting! (Suggestions welcome.) Of course they'll need to put a thick tarp over my freshly cleaned carpets! read more

I have used Sears to clean my carpets at least 3-4 times in the past. The technicians are always nice and professional. They do a great job and really take their time to get out any stains I may have in my carpets. I do not have any pets so I do not get the extra pet sanitizer but I did get the scotch guard treatment. I am always satisfied with Sears when they clean my carpets and would give them 5 stars except, due to the fact that I reside in Manhattan, I am not a candidate for the sales they send me via email. In addition, they charge a $49 fee to travel to Manhattan. read more

You get what you pay for - just took advantage of the 3 room (I only had 2 rooms done tho) plus a hallway and stairway special for $129 (with trip charge $139). We had a lot of pet stains and was told that they may not come up without the extra $30 pet stain treatment because the stains were old so I agreed to the extra expense. The team was in and out so fast that I was concerned the carpets weren't cleaned deeply enough or if the extra moisture was pulled out enough. When I expressed my concerns they assured me that the treatment does go deep enough to clean the carpets but not so deep that it would soak the backing as otherwise it could cause mold to grow. I was also told that there were some stains that they could not get out. I inspected the carpets allowing for some drying time first after the team left. For the most part they looked very good. But then I noticed the spots that were left behind (which were not pet stains) and very gently and very briefly wiped the stains completely off with a baby wipe only. I also noticed the rug in that room was not as wet (and almost dry in some areas) as the rug in the hall that had all the pet stains on it,which made me wonder how much time was spent in that room. I then took the baby wipe and used it on a pet stain in a room that was not cleaned and the stain was completely removed with minimal effort. Bottom line is I feel like I got a lot of area treated for the $149 charge (even without the 3rd room done) . It looks very clean on the surface but I don't feel like the carpet is deep cleaned (or cleaned at all in some areas?). I also would not recommend the extra cost for the pet stain removal either. My neighbor used Stanley Steamer and was charged $200 for 2 rooms. They were there for a long period of time and she said the carpets were almost dry within an hour which suggests they both deep cleaned her carpets and took the extra time to pull up the excess moisture. She was very happy with the results. I would only use Sears again if they were offering a special and I needed a quick freshening up for the holidays, but would try Stanley Steamer if I want my carpets deep cleaned. read more
