The service man arrived at 12:10 and my son was not home.Brett was kind enough to do a nearby job and returned to my house to service my AC unit when my son was home. Tony was early which was great and very friendly. however, he spent less than 15 minutes looking at the DW and declared the "electronic panel shot and it will cost $700 to order that part IF you. am find it... may as well buy a new DW" I paid my nearly $200 service call fee and off he went. my son visited the next day to try and help me buy a new DW and he looked at the DW and tried to start it. IT WORJED FINE!! I believe I am entitled to a refund for that service call!!! read more

The service tech was very efficient and fixed the issue well. I am extremely unhappy with scheduling the service call. Communication was non-existent and I would have no idea if the tech was coming or not without contacting Sears. I had to order parts myself from Sears Direct and then had multiple calls to ensue that I had the parts for the repair. Parts ordering is a nightmare. Parts were readily available on Sears Parts Direct but the Parts Dept. could not locate them. if I did not order the parts myself I would still be waiting on the repair. it took 5 weeks from the initial call to get the dishwasher fixed. read more

Terrible service! I do not recommend using this company. I called them to repair a leak in my washing machine and they found a hole in the gasket which would have cost $600 to repair. I declined the repair and was going to tape the hole with silicon tape. After they left I put up a laundry and my washing machine wouldn't work with error code F 28. I asked them to come back and see what went wrong and they refused! Worst customer service experience I ever had. read more

Your service department is unprofessional and unqualified. You have to go thru 10 people before you get the right department and everyone tells you something different. I had a refrigerator that was under warranty and as of 6 months it still isn't fixed. I had to file a complaint with the Attorney General's Office. Sears makes appointments and then does not let the service company know about them. We wait home all day and no one comes.We have been having an issue with our refrigerator since last October that was just resolved in February. The service company TN Boko is horrible! They lied to us and the technician was rude and we could not communicate with him. Now they are using Blum Management. Their technician is great!!! He is knowledgeable, thorough and friendly. Technician was less than helpful. Showed him a picture of control panel reading of the dryer problem and said it was a venting issue and he couldn't help me based upon where I lived. He checked the outside vent and said it wasn't opening enough, and I asked if he could wait two minutes for me to take off the vent cover to see if he could then check the dryer and he said "no", you need to have a venting person come and help, that he could do nothing in this situation. I asked if he could pull out the dryer to see if the hose as kinked behind the dryer and he said no, you need to call a venting person. Was a waste of my time, and Sears' time to even send this technician. read more

I called for service on my refrigerator and got an appt within 2 days. Mike the technician was great. He explained everything, did a great job. I can't remember when I last had a refrigerator serviced so I wasn't sure what the cost would be. It was worth getting it fixed when you look at the cost of a new one. Kenmore is a great product. Terrible customer service. Canceled late in the day with us twice, costing us two lost days of work waiting for them. The guy who finally showed was clueless. Instead of the advertised $89 diagnostic fee, they charged $150. They didn't have the part with them and wanted $361 to come back with it. I ordered it from Amazon for $15 and fixed it myself in an hour. It took them three weeks to not fix my dryer. I will never used Sears again. read more

Sears appliance repair service and A&E are the WORST organization I have ever dealt with. Scheduled an appointment in early January for a February 16 appointment for a dishwasher repair. Half way through the 8am-5pm window they cancelled the appointment stating the technician called in sick. We rescheduled for March 5 with a 8am-12m scheduled time of arrival. At 3:35 pm the technician called my home and stated he would arrive between 4pm-5pm. He never showed up, nor called. I immediately called Sears customer service and was passed around to several people until I spoke to "Forest" at 800-469-4663 and said the technician "called in sick", I informed him that the tech. CALLED me at 3:35pm, that day. He then told me he was over booked. I asked why I wasn't the first one on the list since they cancelled on me the previous month. He said he would TRY to get a tech there the next day, March 6. The web page said he would arrive at 10:15 am and I didn't see him until 1:15pm. He was a very nice person but could not help me for less than $700.00. read more

service person was racial. as soon as he walk-in he dislike me. at one point he said "I do not have time for your dumb question". my kids came out and told me throw away this man from our home. I still keep cool and even gave water and Gatorade just in case he do not dehydrated. I can write a book about his worst behaviour. he pulled out our filter and told me why you guys keeping this filthy filter and I am not going to put it back. I requested to put back and I will buy it and get someone to replace it. he refuse and currently my air condition is without filter. I asked about freon and he rudely told me that freon is at condenser. You do not even know that? How kind you have air condition. Feel very embracing. I do not know he did service at UNIT level. I don't know if Sears Appliance Repair could have fixed my dishwasher which is not draining, because they didn't show up. Four days ago, I made an appointment online for between 1 and 5 pm. Multiple appointment reminders were sent by text. This morning, a text came confirming the appointment between 5 & 7pm. I called and was reassured that the appointment was still scheluded for between 1 and 5. At 3 pm, they called to say we had to re-schedule and the first appointment is not until a week from today, but next week is not possible for us. We requested an appointment the following week, but they can't schedule out that far. read more

We called today to follow up on the status of fridge that no one contacted us in 7 days. Recording to the technician fridge need water supply tubing We started the first call @ 9:30 am and we stayed in the phone until 11:30 AM They have no communication with each other,,,,they put you on hold to look up your account and than someone else picks up the phone and ask you the same questions that you already told three people before "" what is your name , what is your account number, what can I do for you"". We asked for manager to call us after talking to 7 people. The technician left me the phone number when he came on his first visit so I called him to see what he has to say. Technician and the Customer service have not the same information. What they telling us the part that is broken technician is saying this is not correct... who ever put the notes made the mistake. Technician is trying to help and he is asking to have three way call so he can explain to the representative but they don't want to help us. They keep transferring us from department to department. Here we are again ""what is your name what is the issue "". Every one is reading the notes and all they saying The part is not covered !!! On the contract it says "If we can't prepare we will replace the item. The labor that is broken coast $ 75. 00 our monthly payment are over $65.00 per month. We definitely will end the contract with them but I want to share the experience for other people to read and know our frustration and not to sign with the company. I requested a repair on my refrigerator. Mind you I have been paying for an annual service plan for 13 years. They had to request parts, only 2 came in. I tried to call to get updates and had to hold for a representative. The wait time was over an hour. Their customer service STINKS!!! and the little witch that finally took my call told me they couldn't repair my item so to go out and buy a new refrigerator. Of course that was a lie. I had to call again and wait almost 2 hours on hold to get a status of my refund check, and was told we don't send out checks. We will have someone come out. Funny, how they made that happen when I never received the third part. They fixed it. The repair man was very good at his job. Too bad the company has a whole Sucks!!!!! read more

DO NOT BUY FROM SEARS. DO NOT PURCHASE THEIR 5-YEAR PROTECTION AGREEMENT. IT IS A SCAM!! I purchased a 5-year Sears Protection agreement on an LG Dishwasher I bought from them in 2018. The dishwasher stopped working in a little over a year. I started having trouble with it in January 2020, couldn't get it repaired right away due to the Pandemic. Since September 2020 I have had more than 5 technician visits, more than 4 repairs. When I called Protection Agreement Benefits to claim a replacement under No Lemon Warranty, I was told I don't qualify for it yet. Service appointments I had made, disappeared from their system. Last time the technician who came did not make any repairs (June 25th) and returned the parts that the previous technician had ordered and told me I qualify for a replacement. Today (July 19th), when I called Protection Agreement Benefits again, I was given the same story - I don't qualify for one yet. I need "one more" qualifying technician visit. I can't even get a supervisor on the phone! The agent I spoke to would not transfer me to a supervisor - told me he was a case manager and that's as far as I could go. Told me I'd have to call corporate to file a grievance. I was on hold for 1 hour and 15 minutes just to hear this! When I purchased the dishwasher and the 5-year protection plan, I was told they would replace it if they couldn't fix it in three visits. Now I am being given new qualifying criteria! The 5-year Sears Protection Agreement is turning out to be a farce! They have so many conditions for you to qualify for a replacement and always find a loophole to not honor their commitment. I would give them zero stars if I could. DO NOT BUY FROM SEARS. DO NOT PURCHASE THEIR 5-YEAR PROTECTION AGREEMENT. IT IS A SCAM!! I am thinking of posting a review at BBB as well. read more

I've used Sear's for two repair calls. The first was for my trash compactor and they diagnosed the problem quickly and ordered the necessary parts. They came back when the parts arrived and fixed the compactor. No problems. The second time I used them was when my dishwasher stopped working and started leaking. The repairman came as scheduled and looked over the dishwasher thoroughly. He told me the motor was leaking and would have to be replaced at a cost of over $600. That would buy me a new dishwasher so I declined the repair. The only thing wrong was the diagnostic fee of $125 which I thought was a bit high. Other than that, everything went well. Most expensive repair ever. Service guy #1 came out and diagnosed my frig for a fan ( for the noise problem ) and a flimsey sheet metal tray ( for an occasional leak inside the frig ) he ordered the parts, one part arrived at my house and they said the other would arrive with service guy #2. Service guy #2 shows up knowing nothing about the part. Had to wait another 2 weeks for the next appt. Service guy #3 comes, installs the fan which looks like it would cost about $39 at an appliance store but it cost $240. The sheet metal piece wasn't even needed, the service guy was able to clean out a clogged drain tube. There May have been an hour spent between all 3 service guys and the labor was $400 ( that's right $400 ). With tax my bill came to $750. The service guy took off $40 for the part he didn't use so I ended up paying $710 for basically a $39 motor and an hour labor. I feel ripped off and totally taken advantage of. I will NEVER use Sears Appliance Repair again. NEVER Charles P. read more
