They came out once and charged me for the analysis. Then the service man said he couldn't give an analysis because he couldn't pull the washer out. And we needed to make a new appointment with two guys. I did that, and one guy came out. He was very grouchy. He said he couldn't repair anything without the serial number, which is on the inside of the door, which is stuck. He said two guys couldn't pull it out, that we'd have to tear open the wall of my closet to push it out. Then he left without saying goodbye. No work was done. Just this grouchy, negative guy. I called a different company, they came out, did an analysis, ordered a part, and fixed the washer. No problem. I called Sears to get my money back because they didn't even do an analysis, let alone the work. And they said they'd get back to me. So far, i haven't heard from them. Called for service because our dishwasher was leaking water during wash cycle. The tech came, looked at the washer (he didn't try to turn it on to test for the problem) and then fiddled with his iphone. I think that he was searching for parts and costs. He then provided a $929.69 estimate to repair the dishwasher. We naturally declined the repair. Since he didn't run the dishwasher to look for the problem I tried cleaning out the line to the disposer to see if it would help. Lo and behold, my leaky washer was fixed. I'm glad I refused the repair service and buying a new dishwasher. I also scheduled a preventive maintenance check for my range since there was a special going on. All the tech did was turn on the burners and the oven and said that everthing was fine. I could have done that and save myself the $50 charge. SEARS REPAIRS SUCKS!!!!!! read more

seven visits and still my refrigerator not working. Requested a refund and Tech Holi said we would receive $1260 that we paid on first visit in Sep '24. I received no e-mail confirmation of this, and that is what I am requesting at this time. Can not recommend Sears Home Services. Do not buy the sears home warranty they have very poor service and they are not good about taking care of their customers. They treat their repair techs very badly and overwork them. I have a warranty and will be cancelling it and moving to another vendor who is responsible. Some Issues are: Dropped calls, poor repair coordination, lack of live help, outsourcing to unreliable sources. they are quick to take your deductible and slow to do any repairs. They have a huge disconnect between what needs to be done and doing it. I have wasted hours with rude and ignorant representatives and every repair person I have had come complains about the company and tells me how bad they are. Beware of Sears Home Warranty. read more

Wow the customer service is just terrible. They are not organized and once they get your money they put you on hold change the dates that the repair will be finished. I don't get it I would think they would like to finish the job so they can get to other customers. But doesn't seem to be the case. Plus it was the same price to fix our washer as it was to purchase a new one. But here I'm the Big Island it's hard to get it installed. So went with fixing the washer. The third tech was able to do the repair and explained what was involved to get the job done. The were numerous rescheduling of appointments because tech not available. Worst PHONE SYSTEM ever... AND worst SERVICE ever experienced in Hawaii!!! (Yes! 3 exclamation marks) Spent money with them to get a wall oven and a gas GE countertop stove cleaned, RENOVATED and repaired. Could not do it in one trip so scheduled two different days. Then They sold me an extra clean and tune of our washer and dryer. Now three weeks later and wasting several days waiting for them to show up we are still waiting.... in short... SEARS SHOULD BE PAYING US FOR THE BIG TIME WASTE, WORK TIME LOST AND FRUSTRATION FACTOR. My complain is that Sears is using overseas people to answer their phone The calling centers probably same money for Sears, but most of the people I have talked to have a heavy accent and are sometime not understandable. i also resent sending jobs overseas instead of hiring people in our country. read more

I have a Samsung wall oven that I called in early April... the guy came out, took 3 minutes to determine, I needed a $580,00 repair. He ordered the part, part came in around 4/5/23. Sears made an appointment to install the part for 4/10/23... the repair guy never showed up... I called, they said he got tied up, he'll call me back... 1, 2 days past! No word. I called again, got the runaround for the next 3 days. I told them to cancel and refund my money! They said, they'll have to get the part first. I asked, if I could get a RMA for the part so I can drop it off at UPS, they said... they will be in contact. I waited another two days... nothing. 4/20/23, I called again, finally after 15 minutes, someone answered and said, they haven't picked up the part yet? I said now and I just sold my house and I really just need a refund at this point... today is 4/25/23, the package is still here, no one called and no one picked up the part. I must say, I am extremely surprised that the company can stay in business with this kind of poor service! I will never call, recommend their services to anyone! This has been an example of the worst service that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy! my advice, do not use their services!!! you will be very very disappointed! my freezer gasket was replaced. upon putting all my freezer items back I noticed there is a gap where the gasket meets the freezer side. I tried to contact Sears about this and couldn't get through after trying several (4) different phone numbers . I will try again tomorrow. read more

Service came today and told us that the outlet to the microwave is faulty we hired a electrician and he checked out everything and proved to us by plugging other fixtures into the same outlet that is was fine and plugged the microwave into another 20 outlet and it didn't work which proves the microwave is no good . Don't ever sign up for sears' $600 yearly warranty service. first they didn't show up last spring after I took day from work and they tried to charge me for that but I filed complaint with credit card; then in early June I cancelled my contract and was on phone forever with the biggest pushiest a...h... who finally said he cancelled it BUT they still charged me over $600 last week. So I had to file another credit card complaint to get the charge reversed. Not a trustworthy company. read more

I'm writing again about technician Eric Peters, and again I want to say that he went above and beyond anything I expected. Eric completed my stove repair last month on July28. He was just as polite as he has been in the past 3 times he came to assess or work on my stove. He was also just as competent--fantastic in fact! The stove was repaired (replacement of oven door hinges) efficiently and with confidence. When he arrived he asked me if I had the parts, and I realized I had forgotten to get them from my brother's house next door. He accompanied (on a path through about 2 acres of ohia forest) me to that house, where I had to search for a while to find the "extra" key. If that isn't "above and beyond" assistance, I don't know what is. When we got into the house I found a likely looking box and asked Eric if these were the correct parts. He knew instantly. Back we went to my house where Eric repaired the doors and for the first time in nearly 5 months I had an oven that worked!! Eric is modest when I thank him profusely, always saying "that's my job" or words to that effect. As an aside, I want to add that I had misplaced my phone during his visit and he was the one who found it. Sears Appliance Repair is lucky to have such a competent and knowledgeable technician. I didn't mention this is my previous review, but on his very first visit (to assess a different problem with the stove, which he also solved quickly and easily), Eric encouraged me to add other appliances to my Warranty (which he suggested I get in the first place), and he showed me where to find all the model and serial numbers. The guy is a GEM, as far as I am concerned. In addition to his knowledge and ability, he is unfailingly polite and considerate. read more

First and foremost, I have issues with all and every IVR answering and transferring software. I spend minutes, often times including call backs, and still not get connected to a live person. Sears is now included. I had a confirmed service call scheduled. I waited for 4 hours for the tech, when I got a text and email stating no one was home. What? The tech sent a pic of the lot he was at. I had no idea where that was. I double checked my address and cell contact number, all was correct. I reschedule another service call and that went fine. The current tech knew nor could retrieve who or why yesterday's appointment was not kept or by who. Sears went down hill. read more

Also when quoted me to fix my dryer it was going to be as much to purchase a new one, which I kind of expected but when I paid sears to have it properly diagnosed and it was a wrong diagnosis, they wouldn't even refund me as well. So I had no other choice but to call someone else and I'm so happy I called Michael's Repair and he fixed it with just replacing a fuse and I paid a fraction of the cost. I paid $523 to have Sears repair my Kenmore washing machine on August 24 and it broke again ( drum problem) by November 11th. Now they say I have to pay another $79 AND for additional repairs even though the repair lasted less than 3 months because I didn't buy their "protection plan" even though on line they say they guarantee repairs for 90 days at least. Washer went out on New Years Eve, and through the internet I got hooked up with A&E. Used to be Sears, according to the only good thing about this place, who's name I will not use. Took him 5 minutes to diagnose the problem, came back with a $550.00 repair estimate. I bought the machine new from Home Depot in 2018 for $450. It's dead already. Anyway, they wanted $258 for a part we can buy for $150, so I know Sears is getting them for $50? $75, maybe? Plus tax, of course, and another $259 for five minutes labor! He said the company makes him add in an $80 diagnostic fee, which the web site says is waived if you accept the repair. That little piece of subterfuge is what made me decline their services. I had a problem with my washer not spinning well without having to rebalance the load. I called Sears repair which I ended up speaking to someone overseas. Slightly strange that. But I got a next day appointment. The service tech which showed up ( Richard ) was Awesome. He was very knowledgeable and ended up being able to fix it right then and there. If I could leave negative stars I would. There is nothing good to say about this company except that the ladies who work in the Hilo office are very kind and pleasant. But if you actually want your appliances repaired, don't call them. Call Rod's repair. They are slow, too, but at least they show up on the day they're supposed to show up, with the parts they need, and once they get there they fix the problem.
