John did a good job installing the last fix. Unfortunately the problem started back in Feb and this was the 4th visit. The first gentleman scratched the heck out of our flooring and was generally disagreeable. The first fix did not solve the issue and so we had to wait for schedules to align for a new diagnostic. If John was the person throughout I suspect we would not be left with damaged flooring and I suspect we would have had the problem resolved much earlier. read more

First they give you a 7 hour window as to when they will arrive to your home. 8-3 you have to take all day off from work. After I rescheduled for that issue to a day I knew I could take off all day, they texted me telling me my appointment was canceled and to pick another date. Next available was 1 week out. I will need to take another day off from work. They send you messages with AI and when you ask it for a number to call, it is not allowed to give you one. I asked the AI to escalate and have a manager call me and it assured me it had and I would hear from someone, but I never did. Just a terrible way to conduct business. 1/9 Update I scheduled the to come today. My wife took the day off from work and guess what? NO SHOW again for the second time in a row. This company is a joke! I don't understand how they stay in business? They texted me around 2:00 that they were on their way. Not pleased with Sears Home Service right now. Have been waiting since JUNE 19, today is AUGUST 7 for refridgerator to be repaired. Still not repaired due to part not even being shipped. I am literally lost for words for the treatment and experience I received from sears home services. Our warranty company uses them apparently for repairs which hopefully they'll be dumping Sears. Over a month and a half ago a so-called technician diagnosed the problem and orders the part. The part has now been sitting at our house for over a month and we literally have had four no-shows with Sears home services.!!!! You heard that correctly not one not two not three but four no-shows!!! But the biggest kicker is we believe this is due to discriminatory actions and prejudices!!! ACLU Will be getting involved with this case!!! I wouldn't let Sears home services step foot even in my enemies houses. Don't use this horrible company no wonder they're going out of business!!! The service man was on time and learned what was needed to fix our refrigerator. Then he told us we had a 5 year warranty on the refrigerator, couldn't fix it through our 1st American appliance insurance, and left. We looked it up right away and found he was not correct. Our refrigerator is no longer under warranty, so now we have to go through the process of one again, getting it repaired through 1st American. Big pain and wasted time. The technician did a great job of replacing the bad part and ensured that the dishwasher was running properly - after a month of Sears messing up the parts order, losing the part, automatically rescheduling the appointment twice with two no-shows/no communication, and no way to contact a real person to get things right. I finally had to call the home warranty company and let them know that they were in breach of contract because their subcontractor (Sears) wasn't performing. It's been two weeks since the repair and the Sears system is still calling me 3 or 4 times a day to remind me of a no-show appointment. I will never use Sears in the future. read more
