Beautiful location, nice walk to the beach. They offer a shuttle to and from the beach if needed. Room cleaning can improve, as I noticed our feet were "black" after walking on the tile floor in the room for awhile. I took a tissue and wiped the floor and it was filthy. Last time I was there, we had a similar problem where there was hair left in the corner of the bathroom. I haven't been there in awhile but unfortunately, the food at the restaurant at the resort (Sanderlings) is not as good before. read more

We first found Seascape when we attended a wedding and always wanted to come back for a stay. We finally got the chance to spend most of a week at the resort for a summer get-away. The place is so very relaxing we hated to leave. We stayed at unit 57 which is a spacious 2 bedroom 2 bath unit, remodeled with new furniture and a nice kitchen with a full-sized refrigerator (Great to keep the nearby Marianne's ice cream cold for the whole stay!). There were six of us there and everyone had plenty of space. The unit was very clean with 2 full bathrooms and a jetted tub in the master. We really enjoyed the views of the ocean from the great balcony, seeing dolphins, whales, and other wildlife on the bluff. The unit is near one of the paths to the beach but you can call for a golf cart when you want to go down and enjoy the sand and waves. The pool and hot tub near the unit were also very relaxing and uncrowded. All of the staff was very friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay and plan on making this an annual summer family destination. read more

Love this place! Stayed here for my birthday and it was very relaxing and I loved waking up to the sound of crashing waves. I had an ocean view 2 story villa suite. ( deal found on living social) the decor wasn't super modern or recently renovated but it was still cute and beachy. The villa had a full kitchen and living room downstairs with a ocean view patio and fireplace and upstairs was the bedroom/bathroom and another ocean view patio. I could've easily lived in the room for a month. The grounds are beautiful and large and so is the beach below. You can ask for golf cart shuttles but I enjoyed walking the pretty trail down to the beach. I've visited a few times since just for the day to enjoy eating at the restaurant on the bluff outside and to enjoy the beach after. I would absolutely stay here again. read more

Third year coming here. We pay for the best villa type they have but our rooms get worse every year. Location makes it but that's about it.

My husband and I frequent here and every single experience we've had, up until this weekend, has been a very pleasurable experience. This time, however, was not relaxing or pleasurable as we were surrounded by noise by both other guests and workers outside of our room for our entire stay. Constant banging and children running and slamming above us and next to us. Now, if I had paid subpar rates, I'd expect a subpar experience. However, we paid close to $1200 for two nights. I informed the desk at checkout and their response was, "I'm sorry, that's usually not the case here." It's sad to think that you'd take that much money from a guest, have them tell you that their stay wasn't enjoyable and then apologize as if that somehow changes the fact that they completely wasted their money. We come here 2-3 times a year and have always LOVED it. Now I'll question even coming back. It's too much money to have to wonder if you'll hear constant noise your whole stay and worse, that no one will care if you do. read more

My girlfriend and I stayed here for our anniversary this past weekend and had an amazing time. We stayed in a spa suite that included a spacious room, mini kitchen, nice bathroom, and a deck that overlooked the ocean. The staff were super welcoming and really made our anniversary special by giving us a complimentary bottle of champagne, chocolates, very early and late check in/out, and even a creme brulee at dinner time! There are actually a number of things I actually like about seascape - the front desk staff is great, the rooms are solid if unspectacular, the beach nearby is beautiful, and restaurant is decent. The nearby golf course is also great (though not technically part of the resort). Here's the thing, though. When my family and I go to seascape we are there to relax, which means that there are mornings when we want to sleep in. The last two times we have stayed there, the cleaning crew would begin working on the nearby rooms at 7:30-8am (this is on Saturdays and Sunday's) and would essentially SCREAM at/to each other the ENTIRE TIME they worked. To make matters worse, many carry walkie-talkies, and instead of fixing them at a reasonable volume (or putting in a headset like many other hotels), they are turned up to maximum volume. So every time someone would try to reach the crew on the walkie-talkie you would hear them amplified like 10 times over. So here's my advice to the management at Seascape. Sit down with your cleaning crew and remind them that the guests quiet and comfort comes first (and last). Respectfully request that while the cleaning crew cleans they KEEP THE NOISE TO A MINIMUM! Because people may want to sleep in while on vacation. read more

We just started staying at this resort a few years ago. It is a pleasure to come back year to year with children and family friends. This resort wants to make sure you are having a great stay. The staff and management truly appreciate its guests. The valet/bellmen are forever looking out for your kids as they move around safely on the property and back and forth to the beach. We cannot say enough good things about this place, its accommodations and local partnerships. We love that we can cook in our rooms, grill on our patios, order in or eat out on the property or nearby. They make it easy for you to come on site and never get back in your car. Definitely pay the money for the s'mores cook out on the beach it is totally worth it. This is a great place to get away with lots of your friends and family. Really pleasant resort. The rooms are basically two floor apartments. The living room is very spacious and set up very nicely. There were plenty of couches/chairs, tv, and fireplace. There was even a porch if I remember correctly. Our room had two bedrooms upstairs, and both were very spacious. Overall, very nice resort with nice views, easy beach access (they give you rides until really late), and lots of room outdoors for activities. read more

Very pretty, very nice, very relaxing, great views and great service. Weekends seem to be a pretty poppin' time around here. Staff reported that it is much quieter during the weekdays, so be sure to note that. The lobby was beautiful with a large u-shaped sofa around a fireplace and open ceiling...I wish I had a book. The pool and hot tub were nice and inviting, but forgot a bathing suit. They even have paved lit paths to the beach. And for a fee, they will start you a bonfire complete with s'mores. Absolutely great location and the beach was really nice. The rooms were great and the service at the hotel was wonderful. We did the s'mores package and bonfire on the beach. This was well worth the money. Also they have a cart service which takes you from your room to the beach which is down a fairly steep hill. There's also a small hiking trail with wonderful views from the cliffs. We did eat at the restaurant once and found it to be expensive but very good. They also had free Wi-Fi throughout the resort which was nice. read more

My wife and I got a couple nights from her parents for a wedding gift and oh my god, AWESOME! We had some pretty high expectations, but geez... we had our minds blown away. We went straight there after the wedding, exhausted we checked in and were greeted by some super smiley front desk and bellmen. They were all congratulating us and yeah it was nice, nothing too over the top, but wonderful. Then we decided to head down to the lounge to get a late night snack around 10:30pm. This place was really nice too... They had a live duet singing and taking requests with a great ambiance. Then... we met by far one of the nicest waitresses ever. This girl, I believe Anna, was overwhelmingly nice and excited to serve us on our special night. Talk about go above and beyond she said something about how it was such an honor that she was able to serve us on our night. From there... DELICIOUS food! We had these great Parmesan fries fried in truffle oil and Caesar wrap. AWESOME! Then she went above and beyond in every way, and we'll keep that quiet so if it was bending the rules, we don't get her in trouble. :-) But yeah... Beautiful views, wonderful staff (Go Anna! Thank you if you read this!), and amazing food. Try the smoked salmon benedict too! If you're thinking about this place for anything at all... just do it, and you should be overly impressed. :-) Thank you Seascape for raising the bar! - Also, there are two packages or "options" you should take advantage of... 1. We love Seascape! The resort truly feels like an oceanfront home away from home. We always stay in a 1- or 2-bedroom villa with deluxe ocean view. Love it! The views are incredible. I used to go here alot of times throughout each year. Im sad now that i dont. We have this family friend whom we have been friends for since 1st grade and they owned a room in this resort. They would alwasy invite us over and we would stay in the extra bedroom. I remember our family would alwasy bring the food and we would have bbqs or a special vietnamese dinner. We would always go to the pool whether it was the one in the higher section or the one near the lobby. The higher section pool has a mini pond that one time we played in for fun. We were like 10-12. The higher section pool is really nice bcause there is this mini golf area and a fire pit. I remember chilln there and just talking with my friend and his older cousins. The area also has a nice view of the beach which is gorgeous at sundown. There is also a grass area where we played football and soccer at one time. Gosh there are so many memories here. Near the lobby there is a restaurant and we ate there one time because they had a special breakfast. The pool is nice but the upper one is better. The hottub near the lobby is cool though since its surrounded by rocks. The lobby is nice and outside theres a big area to relax. I remember coming back from the beach and sitting there on the couch playing spoons and watching a movie. The resort just gives you that warmth feeling. I highly recomend this place. My Aunt got married here. She got married at the same spot as in the picture. It was such a beautiful day and i was the ring bearer. We ate at the restaurant on the second floot which was really nice and the food was great. The view anywhere fromthis place is simply gorgeous. Sometimes we would walk past the tracks and into the nearby shops to get some snacks. This place is just too chill to be worryign about anything. Now the beach. Beautiful beach whether its in the morning or at night. I walked around here at liek 5 in the morning before and it was jst relaxing. Cold, but relaxing. During the day we would come to the beach to eat or play sports or swim. Im hella fast on the sand when we play football. Boogyboarding is also great here and the water is fine. The sun is high and mighty so a tan is garunteed is wanted. At night we have fires and do the classic smores nightime snack. We came on July 4th one time and brought fireworks. It was simply the best time of summer. There was smoke evrywhere and flashlightsin everyones hands. Anything at this resort is perfect. There is also a cliff at the beach where we climb to get catstail to start the fires. THE GOLF CARTS ARE BOMB! Calling from your room to get a ride is the best thing ever! Sometimes they are late but its all good. Calling from the beach sucks though cuz it takes forever and theres alot of people waiting. I need to come here again soon but sadly we dont talk to our family friends anymore.... read more

The only place I will stay in Aptos! Beautiful rooms and gorgeous views are half of the package! If you would like to go down to the beach, you could walk... or call the main lodge, who will send over a golf cart (or more if needed) to escort you down! The food in the lodge is amazing as well! The staff recently has been a little bit worse after some restructuring, but the workers are young! Give them a chance and you will be pleased! The nearby park is absolutely FANTASTIC for kids and dogs! (and Pokemon Go!). read more

We had our wedding in May 2019 at Seascape Beach Resort and everything was perfect! The wedding team helped us with everything we needed. Brittany made sure that every detailed we envisioned would be there on our special day. She also recommended us great vendors that were really easy to work with which made our day even better. The assistance Brittany and Shayne provided the day off was really amazing. We didn't have to worry or think about anything, we just had a lot of fun and an amazing day. My girlfriend had told me that this was one of her favorite places. So I wanted to make our first Valentine's Day special and a success by appeasing her and taking her to her favorite resort. When I looked at the website it definitely looked like a nice, tranquil beach resort, and since my girlfriend is super high maintenance I was expecting something good. We arrived early evening and right off I was impressed with the lobby area. The guest representatives were very friendly, answered all my questions and made us feel welcomed. When I made the reservations I added a romance package that included roses on the bed and floor, champagne and chocolate strawberries upon arriving to the room. One thing that makes Seascape stand out from other resorts is the amazing packages called "resort options" that they have available for guest; set up picnic on the beach, bonfire campout on the beach , massages, plenty of romance packages, and even a lobster feast in your room!! All at a price of course, but I feel like the prices are rational. When we arrived in the room everything that I had requested was set up lovely and my gf was very surprised. However when I started to settle in and look around at the room I became so incredibly disappointed. Everything was in huge need of an update! It looked old, worn out and from another decade. If I am going to pay the kind of prices seascape charges I wanted things a bit higher end. More of a disappointment was when I went to the bathroom, TINY! (Apparently you have to pay more for the spa tub). Not to mention when I did take a shower the temperature was not hot enough. As far as the bed, it was not very comfortable, it was hard. This was the hugest disappointment as I wanted to spend my weekend in a relaxing and pleasant environment. We visited the Sanderlings restaurant that evening and throughout our stay, including room service. Our first night the restaurant was pretty full but there is a bar area which had small jazz band playing (not sure if this is a regular thing), I almost WANTED to wait, it was lovely to sit sip some wine and listen. When we finally got to eat, the food was absolutely delicious! Even room service was tasty, although there was usually a long wait for the food to arrive to the room, and they seemed to run out of options sometimes, for 2 nights they ran out of the caramelized banana split ***tear, I was crushed it sounded divine and I had never heard of a caramelized banana split. Other than the very very "vintage" decorated beach room and uncomfortable bed accommodations, we had a lovely time because of the amenities, beach setting, the friendly staff and the yummy food! I like this place a lot, very relaxing and pretty but the check in experience was not so great. The front desk person was snooty and not at all interested or welcoming. I have stayed here several times and she seemed to be only interested in letting me know that I have to pay for the room in advance. Also at the restaurant I inquired politely about an outdoor table. Once again, very snooty service. The hostess said she had no idea how long it would take to get a table. I just felt like I was treated very shabbily for the amount of money I shelled out. The room was huge but smelled of lingering cigarette smoke and had peeling paint. Friendly Service makes all the difference. read more

I was here for a 3 day meeting. The rooms were good - I shared a 2 bedroom suite with kitchen. Nice views from the room as well as most of the resort. Great sunsets. A short few minute walk to the beach which is very clean & is not overloaded with people. The service during our meeting was good, but they could do better with vegetarian food. I have lives in the San Francisco area for 13 years, & did not know about this area - it is very nice to explore this part of the California coast & the small communities around here. Seascape is a nice place to stay or have a wedding. Too bad I could not experience their facilities. read more

The Wedding Professionals I had my wedding here and it was the wedding of my dreams. The staff here are very professional and attentive. They give you a list of vendors to choose from, a timeline, coordinate the rehearsal, everything is done. The food was great, and when we got to our room we had a little surprise from the staff waiting for us. It's not cheap, but if you want a well done wedding without worrying about the fuss, and hassle about doing everything yourself this is the place to go. Hidden treasure! Affordable luxury! We could not get an ocean view room, but got a "partial view" and WOW! Room 308, a studio, was cozy and the view is magnificent - from the room and the balcony! Let me start out saying I'm hugh into customer service! We were seated and bless the bus boy for stopping by and asking if we wanted some water. My friend as the buster for a bloody mary and stated he would let our server know. Instead of Damon, our server, stopping by to ask if anyone else wanted a drink. Fifteen minutes later shows up and states that the order is in for the drink, we stated that we wanted drinks also. Another fifteen minutes we finally got our drinks, let me remind you we now have been here at least a half hour just to get a cocktail. We ordered our food and it was good but nothing special for the price. After our meal it took another 15 minutes to get the bill. There was no excuse for this service since they were not busy. Wasn't impressed at all! read more
