I resisted my hesitation (after seeing other reviews) and reserved 3 units at the end of July for my family at a considerable cost. This property should get a 5 * review, but is sorely lacking in customer service. You are on your own after checking in. I unfortunately left my Kindle in our unit. To make a long story short, I called and left messages, spoke to the front desk, a manager and reported it on leftmystuff.com as directed, twice. I never received a phone call back from anyone! After 9 days and being left on hold for 15 minutes, again, they told me housekeeping said they didn't find it. How convenient. This is my favorite place to stay when I am in the area. The view is spectacular. The resort is right on the beach so you wake up to the sound of crashing waves and a beautiful sunrise. There is a nice pathway that leads you down to their private beach. Our room had a dinette and a fireplace. We didnt do any cooking this time but enjoyed having the fire place on during the colder evening. This resort does host a lot of weddings and wedding parties so weekend reservations can be tough to get. I do recommend scheduling as far in advance as you can so you can guarantee yourself a room! read more

I don't often spend $800 on a hotel room, but when I do, there are a few basic things I think I should get. First off, the good: The hotel grounds are beautiful and the hotel is located next to the Pacific Ocean. Next, I got a reasonable (not great) room with an ocean view and a balcony. To do this, I had to pay for a "suite". This "suite" was in the middle of the hotel's price range. I put quotes on the word suite as it is more like a mini long-term hotel room with a kitchen. Other good things: the room appears to have been recently updated (the hotel appears to have been originally constructed in the 80's - just my guess). The staff at the hotel was overall very friendly (one exception was a staffer who pushed her way through the middle of a family talking on the sidewalk - she obviously did not want to bother to walk around them. Now on to the *other* things: First off, the big problem: no air conditioning? What you say? How could that be for an $800 room?? Well, the hotel does give you a fan to blow on you. Yes. that is it. They might also say that you can easily open your windows and let the gentle cool ocean air waft through your unit. Well, my $800 unit bedroom backs up to the building walkways, street and parking lot. So, you get a lot of noise from people and cars, and some very bright building lights. I am sure not having AC is mentioned somewhere on the hotel website (not in the room descriptions or anywhere obvious I might add). Speaking of bright lights, the lights on the supplied room fan were bright enough to light up the entire bedroom! Next, I was on the second floor over an underground parking garage, so I also was treated to the sounds of car engines echoing underneath. Worse was that I observed the homeless go through the garbage bins in the garage, so guests like myself are treated at night to the sounds of clanking bottles and dumpster lids crashing down with a nice flat metallic bang. Needless to say, I had a sleepless night (thankfully, I was only there the one night). Next item: the bathroom lights are activated by motion detectors, so when (not if) you have to go to the bathroom at night, first you get blasted by the very bright bathroom light turning on, then you are blasted again by the separate toilet room light that turns on next. You can turn off the light by a switch (but now you have been blinded), but there is no switch to disable the motion detectors. Smaller issues: The room comes with a DVD player hooked up to the TV. Blu Ray? No, DVD. The fireplace, while it had a pilot flame burning, did not work (I didn't really need it, but wanted to try it out- you know, $800 room and all). Next thing, the room safe was locked closed. It took several hours to get it opened by security, and by then, we were out to dinner, so it didn't matter. Next to last thing, the alarm clock time was wrong. I am pretty good at figuring out how to set the time on random inaccurate hotel alarm clocks, but not this thing. So I unplugged it rather than having to look at the blatantly wrong time. Lastly, receiving the half dozen emails and texts periodically from the hotel relentlessly asking "how are we doing?". I asked them to stop sending these annoying communications (I kept having to check my email and texts upon receiving notifications, so I still could not relax). So they send me 4 more following sending acknowledgment text that they would stop - so 5 total. They just can't help themselves. That is it. I'm done. No more Seascape! read more

Beautiful scenery at Seascape! I came for Memorial Day weekend with a group of friends and stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. The staff provided us with early check-in and a late checkout. I thought that was a nice convenience of them. The rooms were very clean. The kitchen was stocked with dishes, silverware, and cookware. The balconies each had a table and chairs and had an incredible view overlooking the ocean. I appreciate that this resort is in a location where a convenience store and a liquor store are right across the street within walking distance. There were a few weddings being conducted the weekend we were there. But it didn't interfere with getting food from the restaurant or getting down to the beach. The beach was also very clean and the golf carts that will take you up and down the hill is super convenient! Overall, this place is pretty expensive. But if you can afford to stay here, I would recommend doing so! read more

It's my husband's birthday. Yay! Happy 54th! We had been to Santa Cruz, Capitola and Monterey many times over the years but had never visited Aptos. I posted something on Instagram about Santa Cruz months ago and "visit Santa Cruz" started following me. I followed them back. Then I saw a post they did about a free trip 2 night stay at a beach resort. So I "liked" and entered my email and phone number. It was real! And I won! And I never win anything!!!! Anyway I won a package deal: 2 night stay in a 2 bd 2 bath villa, gift certificate to the on site restaurant Sanderlings, a fire pit stocked with s'mores kit, and firewood, and a wine tasting at a local winery "Borgetta" Ok let me get back to the resort. The staff here is awesome. We checked in late and had to change our reservation for the fire pit. No problem. Half of our party was late (our kids) so we had to change it. They came right after work and had not yet eaten so... pizza can be delivered right on the beach! Waters and chairs already there and the fire is pre-lit. They pick you up in a golf cart at your room and deliver you back. The fire pit steward Chad was on it. He kept bringing more wood, checking on us. At one point my son wanted to go back to the room for something. No problem, he's on the radio for the next golf cart shuttle. Omg I love this place! The fire pits are on the beach and you can hear the waves breaking. They are set far enough apart that you can see the glow from other fires but you can't hear conversations so it feels very private. The 2 bedroom 2 bath villa is so spacious with a beautiful view of the beach. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need. There is an outdoor patio with a spot perfect for coffee in the morning. Toward dusk we had a few deer visit us! It's our beach home for 3 days and 2 nights. Love love love it here! read more

Beautiful beach and most staff are excellent. I've come many times over the past 15 years. This time, I was told there were no fire pits available for the duration of my stay, adding, "the fire pits aren't for public use". I'm paying $4300 for a two room villa for four nights. I am not leaving a beach resort to drive to a public beach. We went down to the beach with our own wood and there were 7 unused pits. We helped ourselves to one that was abandoned early. The refrigerator in the room leaks and obviously has by the rust spot under leak. The screen door to the slider is broken. There are metal bed frame ends sticking out ten inches and I hit my shins twice before covering them with pillows. There is only one robe for four people. No bag for leaky ice bucket. One TV remote has dead batteries. I still love this place and will come back. But the front desk could easily communicate with the person manning the fire pits and allow registered guests to use the pits sitting empty. I think they want to sell their campfire and s'more packages for $125 and don't want us bringing our own wood. I would have given five stars if the gal at the front desk arranged for a fire pit to be made available, rather than suggesting I drive to Manresa public beach. Who leaves a beach resort to do that? I would have expected much more from a "resort" The entire place itself is slightly outdated. We called for a new alarm clock TWICE and never even ended up getting one. The AC did not work and the room was very stuffy our entire stay. We also booked a couples massage, and when one woman showed up we told her we ordered a couples massage, and had to wait an entire hour for another person to show up. Only good things I have to say are, the beach was beautiful and clean, it was nice to get away, and Heath was AWESOME, but he is only one person and can't make up for the rest. We got engaged on the beach and he was the most helpful staff we encountered during our stay. For the price, would stay at a different resort next time. read more

I had my wedding here last weekend and had THE BEST EXPERIENCE. I called Seascape 7 weeks before the wedding to see if they had an opening on July 22nd and it just so happened they did... With such a last minute thing I figured everything would probably be a bit chaotic..... but let me tell you it was the easiest, most organized, and hands down THE GREATEST experience I could have imagined. 1. The wedding coordinator, Jean Francisco, not only so kind, easy to talk to, friendly, easy going but she helped me SO MUCH!!! She was always so incredibly prompt with emails, phone calls, and my zoom meetings I requested haha Jean is incredibly organized, efficient, and made my day so special - When I arrived, my hotel room had a mini cake, my favorite whiskey, and a hand made card waiting for me on the table. On the day of my wedding I was greeted with champagne and fruit while I got ready :) She also acted as the day of coordinator for me - helped with all the set up - organized the rehearsal portion and made sure everything went smoothly during the event... and let me tell you I had not 1 single hiccup. Jean is truly a lil magician with weddings and I couldnt be more thankful for her! 2. Seascape is incredible with their wedding packages for guests. First off the bride and groom get a free night. Guests are not required to have a 2 night minimum stay (something I encountered at many other hotels due to the time of season) I worked with Eric there who also gave the guests a great rate to stay :) Eric - was also so great to work with - he had all my guests just call him personally to book a room for them and make sure all of us were taken care of ! 3. The FOOD!!!! OH MY GOD!!! THE FOOD! They just got a new chef! Im a huge fan of asain/spanish style food and turns out this is what he specializes in. I had told Jean that im a big foodie and really wanted different wedding food. My wedding was small (44 people) so she asked the chef (Beni) if we could do a custom menu - to which he said yes :) Him, Jean and I had a zoom call and went through my favorite foods and came up with the apps and 3 different dishes to choose from - I ended up trying them all cuz I was so excited about them. They were incredible and everyone kept talking about how good the food was and they couldnt believe it was "wedding food". For apps chef Beni did mini bahn Mi sandwhiches and pot stickers and egg rolls and and dinner was steak, shrimp and pork dishes - ill post the pic of it cuz they were custom made by him. Chef beni grew up in the Bronx of New York and has a super cool swag about him - he owns an amazing restaurant in Vegas along with several other business ventures. Anyways he was really fun to chat with and get to know! :) 4. The director of sales - Aurora. What an amazing woman!!! They are so lucky to have her. Everytime I see her she is always smiling and laughing and having the best time! She made my day so special in so many ways - I cant even begin to say thank you enough to her :) Her and Jean helped work on pricing and budget and im sure many other things im unaware of for my wedding. All I have to say is THANK YOU!!!!! 5. I had my ceremony on the beach... you can walk down to it and the pathway down is gorgeous! They also had carts that took everyone down as well! They set up chairs and arches and made sure the DJ knew where to set up as well. The reception was on "the bluff" the grass area on the cliff that over looks the ocean! i met a friend for drinks at the bar. tj took good care of us! he recommended a local gin for me to try and made sure we were never lacking for food or drink. i ordered the southwest salad with salmon. that piece of fish was large and the price was more than reasonable. since my friend is a regular, it felt like a lot of people would come by to check on us. i cannot recall the manager's name but at one point he came by to see how things were which was a nice gesture. lots of personalized attention and good quality food and drink made for a great stopover on a saturday afternoon. if you're in the neighborhood and want solid food, you can sit outside on the deck or inside at the bar, but you'll be pleased either way. read more

Very beautiful place to stay but very horrible service had the crawlspace attic door left open to one of the rooms didn't notice till the end of the night, took them over half an hour to come and lock it. Had issues with my front door, not opening at 6:30am I called the front desk to request service told me they sent somebody to my room to open the door.Had to call back only to find out their employee hadn't even started his shift. I was waiting outside for nobody to come and open the door, had to go back-and-forth to get different keys cards just to still be locked out. luckily my wife was inside sleeping only took her about 15 minutes to wake up after repeated calls but got in eventually. then the maintenance people come and fix the door around 10:30 am without any heads up and let themselves in while we are upstairs that should have never happened. Really questioned my safety here. Left moldy paper towels under the kitchen sink also. But the icing on the cake is that they don't have designated parking spaces for the rooms. For a resort that encourages a "getaway"... this resort expects you to take care of your own housekeeping!!! Nobody told us we need to request housekeeping during our check in process... and based on the price we paid for a two night getaway... we were amazed at the lack of service. Right now, the only thing going for Seascape is it's beach front location. ... NOTE TO MANAGEMENT:- In most resorts in the US who charge these rates, meticulous housekeeping on a daily basis is a standard practice, and expectation of customers. I haven't been to Seascape in 15 years. We previously enjoyed visiting here but the resort needed updating. I saw that the resort had undergone the much needed renovations and decided to book a visit. First of all, our room looked absolutely nothing like the ones their website. No updates at all, stained carpet that was peeling back (I stepped on a carpet staple 3x), sliding doors that stuck and the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in. Secondly, I hoped to drink my morning coffee on the balcony and enjoy the ocean view but construction started at 9am and went on for hours (our last it started at 8:30!). We complained to the front office and we're told they would look into it and move us to a quieter room. They never got back to us! On top of all that we were on the 3rd floor and the elevator wasn't working. On our 3rd day it was storming so I was soaked by the time I walked the 3 stories to my room (only the 1st set of stairs were covered). Upon checkout we relayed all of our complaints, the women we spoke to was very nice and apologized but that was it. No discount or compensation for our terrible stay. Unfortunately, I will never be returning to Seascape. This really was unacceptable, especially for the price. read more

We stayed at room 625 an upstairs unit with two masters one of the beds was on sleep a bowl had a giant hump in the middle of it and you couldn't sleep on either side. We complain to the owners. They didn't do anything about it they also had a ceiling fan in one of the rooms and it didn't work so that room was really hot. We complained about it to the owners. They didn't offer us any money back or anything they just didn't know about is what they said, so I would never recommend that place or ever go there again!! Beware!! read more

Wow. My 1000th review! Unlike OJ in a white Bronco, this has no A/C. I would return for the right price, and if it was during an Ice Age. Private patio, kitchenette, and separate bedroom were nice. Huge restaurant and bar within stumbling distance is a big plus. Desk staff and servers all super friendly and accommodating. Pool and hot tub! Fire pits inside and out. Free wi-fi (worked well for phone, notsomuch my Macbook). And, the access to the beach via a path through a grassy gulch is nice, even though the hike up can suck. They should have Uber golf carts. The fire pit package in retrospect would have been a nice touch- look into it if you have a group. $99 for 2 is steep (as steep as the climb back), but $109 for 5 reserved seats to view the sunset, with water, firewood, a ride up and down the hill, and s'mores kit is good. But, no AC? Sorry, can't go over 3 stars. Even though each room has a fan, can't say I am. read more

I stayed at Seascape with my family this past weekend, arriving on Sunday and leaving Tuesday. We reserved the Deluxe Ocean View 2 bedroom Villa. The day before we were to check in, I called to ask if it was possible that we could request an early check-in. I was told No, you have to call back on the day of your arrival. I did just that, but was on hold for over 30 minutes, and gave up. We were traveling from nearby, so we thought we could just arrive early, make our presence known and spend some time on the beach while our room was prepared. So, we did. I arrived at the front desk and checked in at approximately 11:00am on Sunday. I was told that it would be a couple hours before my room was ready and I would receive a call when it is. Great! 5 hours later. No call. My family is my wife, 2 kids (6 & 7 years old), and my 71 year old mother. We grabbed some sandwiches at the store across the street and were spending time at the beach. I thought it was very strange that I hadn't received a call yet. We stayed on the beach as long as we could keep the kids there without any more food. Then, we trudged back up the hill. My wife waited in the VERY long, social-distanced line at about 345pm. When she got the front of the line, we were told that the room will be ready in 10-15 minutes. Ok, fine. It had taken way too long to get a room ready, but there was a light at the end of the tunnel. We stood outside the registration are in the parking lot while we waited for the phone call. I never got a call. 30 minutes later. No call. We got back in the VERY long, socially distanced line and waited for our turn again. Maybe they just forgot. They didn't. We made our way to the front by about 4:30pm (30 minutes past the agreed-upon check-in time). "Your room will be ready in one hour." ONE HOUR! I have two starving kids that would need dinner very soon and we can not check in to our room that is costing us $800+ a night. Unacceptable! Instead of yell at the desk clerk in front of a line of people who are clearly experiencing the same frustration as we were, we decided to start the hunt for dinner instead. We trudged back across the street to the market. The nearby Mexican restaurant didn't open for another 15-20 minutes, and the market didn't have many pre-made things left. We were planning on using the hotel BBQ to make something tasty, but that plan has flown out the window because we can't get in to our room. So, our last option is Pizza. Fine. We order, we wait. Still no call. So, picture this, a family of 5, excited for a relaxing getaway at a luxurious resort, paying top dollar to get the best room and view... eating pizza in a parking lot because there are no seats available (6 ft away from others) 90 minutes past the check-in time. Then it happened. We got the call. At 5:30pm. Our room was ready. Come and get the keys. I asked "do I have to wait in line again?". No she said, "there will be someone in a separate line to help you with the keys." We packed up the rest of the pizza to bring it back to the room. Ok, I got to the lobby again. No separate line, no separate clerk. I was told to wait in line again. Instead of yell, I got in line. The line was still out the door. Unbelievable. As I made my way halfway through the line, the "separate line" clerk showed up. She made no announcement about getting keys from here, just stood there until someone from outside walked in to get keys from her. I ended up 4th in the new separate line. So, we got the keys. Room 600. Certainly NOT the view I was hoping for. We mostly faced the island and other buildings. NOT the deluxe view we were hoping for. We finished our now-cold pizza. Tried to relax. It was stuffy, we needed to open the windows. However, the blinds on some of the windows were broken. No dice. "Hey kids, let's go find a place for your stuff." I showed the little loft off the side of the kitchen and powder room. They liked that the bed folded out, and there was a door. I showed them the hidden doors and how to close them. THEY ARE BROKEN AND FELL OFF! We didn't allow them to sleep in there. Let's go to the balcony to relax and sit! We opened the screen and it fell off! What is happening?!? Let's try the patio downstairs. THE. SCREEN. FELL. OFF. After laughing at the ridiculous nature of the circumstances and the comedy of errors that our $800+/night vacation is becoming... I wanted to take a shower to get the beach remnants off of me. I set some close to change in to near the sink and turned on the shower. The shower head immediately shot water out of the top. The water sprayed the wall, the toilet, and the clothes I had set out to wear. Unbelievable. Took me a few minutes fiddling with the shower head to make the excess spray stay inside the shower. Patio of the restaurant? All booked for my entire stay. South Pool right outside my room? All booked. Nothing refunded. read more

Sadly our last visit here was so incredibly disappointing. We had our wedding reception and night here 25 years ago, as well as many anniversary trips since then. The beachfront suite was in such disrepair that I could not even fathom that we were paying $650+ a night. I nearly spilled hot coffee all over myself when I made the mistake of sitting on the ottoman. The cleaner left a nasty rag on the floor, and in the midst of a pandemic that really didn't give me much confidence. The manager offered $30/off per night which I found insulting. Be certain if you go to ask which unit you will be staying as most are individually owned and clearly not all are maintained. Lots of good memories but never going back. read more

We stayed at Seascape in celebration of our 15th wedding anniversary. Rooms are similar in layout & quality to a low-end business suites hotel; think "Best Western Executive Suites" or "Fairfield Inn & Suites". Reasonably spacious, but cheap, cold, and drab. Positives: * Location. Situated on a bluff overlooking a broad expanse of white sand beach. Dolphins frolicking in the surf! Negatives: (While reading these, consider that this propery costs roughly $500/night for their smallest room.) * K-mart level unframed art, on bare white walls. * Blue-white light bulbs give a cold, impersonal feel * Getting music from the TV requires an additional fee(!!) * No air conditioning! (Although there is a thermostat on the wall and normal wall vents, front desk confirms the mechanism is actually just a fan.) Don't believe them when they tell you AC is not needed here. It is. * No daily room service. Make your own bed, do your own dishes, take out your own trash, etc. * You need a reservation to sit by the pool - even when it's deserted. * 'Sanderling's' Restaurant: Food was pretty good, but service was just embarassingly nonexistent. Given the amazing location, this could really be a special place. Regrettably, it is not. read more

We've visited this location many times . I was In love with this space . I'm not sure what happened but the staff changed, prices went up , an overwhelming uninviting feeling throughout .. especially with new restaurant management and staff . I loved this place so much and everything has changed . For a 1000 dollars a night I expect more than a MOTEL room that doesn't even have air conditioning . The views awesome but it's doesn't warrant the price . To boot , this time there was a portion of the 3 story building that was failing, with a cutch holding up a failing corner and exposed infrastructure . Just read this: Don't stay I had emailed my complaint about my experience and the only thing Bella the manager came up with was "come back I'll give you a discount" I had called prior to making reservations to ask if there was a good rate because i wanted to gift my parents for their anniversary, and the lady on the phone, I believe her name was Tasha interrupted me rudely and said "the only thing i can do is a AAA rate." she proceeds to sound like she literally hates her life and is like in a rush to get me off the phone and I didnt want to spoil the vacation so I just responded politely and went on with reservations. let me tell you what youre paying for, the room is less 700 SQft. its the "remodeled" room, it came with a mini fridge which was never ever the case in our previous stays.. our previous stays had housekeeping cleaning the rooms (which not ONCE did they come and our room was FILTHY). I walked in and found the floor dirty and filled with sand, the couch looked like it belonged on the streets it was so dirty! everything about my stay was horrible and i couldnt say a word because i wanted to make it seem as if we were enjoying our stay because of my parents. worst part about this entire stay is my dad left because there wasnt a handicap shower. when i asked they said jt was all sold out. the bed was also tiny. and he used to come every year and bring us for over 30 years!!!! I will never ever ever come back and i suggest you dont book either. i paid over $1000 for a crappy stay! i should have stayed in an Airbnb!!! shame on seascape for remodeling the units to make them smaller and putting filthy furniture and charging an arm and leg for nothing! read more

Just celebrated my birthday here this weekend. We got a two bedroom villa and it was amazing! The villa was really clean with a full kitchen, 2.5 baths and 2 balconies. The rooms are very "beachy" and really comfortable and spacious. We had a full ocean view which made it even better! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, really doing all they could to make it memorable. The concierge was also really thoughtful and had birthday decor and a bottle of wine for our room. We only visited one of the pools and the service was great out there as well. The place in general is pricey but I found it to be worth it. Cons: housekeeping threw out our boxes and bags that we needed to transport all of our stuff back home. They also moved our "toiletries" which made it hard to find. We were told prior to the trip that we could reserve the bonfire when we got there but we're told once we were there we needed to reserve two weeks in advance! Lastly, we had really bad service in the Sanderlings restaurant (not the resorts issue) and don't think we will eat there ever again. No kid pool vs. adult pool. Both pools are for all. Pros: The whole fire thing was a bummer but the guy who picked us up on the golf cart and the concierge had some good recommendations besides that. Rooms are immaculate. Guest services and front desk were outstanding. Bonfire options. Beach is great. Pools are super clean. Great views. Thoughtful touches for my birthday. Very polite cleaning crew. read more

This review is for room 616 only! It's a beautiful recently renovated 2 bedroom, 2 story villa, full kitchen, full size refrigerator, equipped with a blender, coffee maker, pots, pans, anything you could possibly need. A patio downstairs with grill, balcony upstairs, both with an ocean view. Parking is very convenient, you can park right out front and walk right up to the door. The washer and dryer is very nice to have too. There's a half bath downstairs and two full baths upstairs. We had an absolutely wonderful time and were very comfortable. The concierge was very helpful, bringing dishsoap, dishwasher detergent, anything we needed. Best of all, THE PRICE IS RIGHT. I've stayed at Seascape many times. The privacy and access to the beach is incredible, but I haven't always loved the rooms. Some have had sketchy pots and pans, scratchy old sheets, and really just feel like it's a very overpriced motel 6 on the beach. If you do come, I highly recommend asking for room 616, because if you don't it's a gamble and you may get a gross room. Thanks Seascape for a wonderful getaway! read more

Ok we are paying over $600 a night. When we checked in they gave us a room for five nights and letting manager know it's a birthday celebration. They then informed us it's only for two nights they made a mistake. And had us look at three other rooms that were down grade. In addition, we came home Sunday to a ants infestation in the kitchen and called front desk and waited for maintenance. They had me go at 10:00 pm to look at three other condos that was downgraded, The next day manager was suppose to calm us to see if we can be moved to the exact same grade of a room. Came back and know one called or came to condo. Called front desk and they Apollo and said they will check with the manager tomorrow and apologized for not calling us or getting back to us. In addition to that we had family over to BBQ and started cooking and the BBQ kept on tripping the gfi. We called front desk and waited 1/2 hour for maintenance. By then my husband went next door and exchange bbqs. Still know manager has talked with us to try and remedy anything. read more

The pictures are beyond the actual visual views. This is definitely not a spa resort. We came here for a anniversary resort getaway and there are so many kids here. Not against kids but the way the place is portrayed as a romantic resort. It looks like an apartment hotel complex Very clean and staff is very nice. Just not what we were looking for . read more

This place is fantastic. It is run by Hilton so you get Hilton points it has a on-site bar which is a plus and a large Koi pond. My only negative is the price per room should be about $50-$70 less for the amenities they offer. read more

This is the first beach getaway planned this year, since Covid-19 happened. I can't begin to describe how much needed this vacation is or the help and hospitality from the reservations coordinator named Tasha. What an absolute angel! The hidden beach resort that everyone should know about! My wife and I just celebrated a birthday weekend here. We had no idea what to expect since it was our first time in Aptos and at this resort. The place is massive and there are a lot of things to do. For example, you can request a private ensuite massage or rent bikes to take up and down the coastline. They have live music at night at the bar area which is a treat. *** Major Highlight **** Their aquarium is out of this world! It's a real live Finding Nemo aquarium that you can just look at for hours. Is it just us or do all of these fishes have distinct playful personalities. The staff took care of us with an early check-in and a late check-out. They provided a nice treat for us in our room since it was my wife's birthday. The sunsets were amazing. The whale(s) were out in full effect happily playing with the paddler out in the sea. The sounds of the ocean were magnified. The smell of clean air was refreshing. I recommend this to anyone who has not been. It's a short drive away from anywhere in the Bay Area! read more

So this place is nice we paid around $586 a night. We had a two bedroom suite the layout was great plenty of room, nice view from the back. The negatives, very high flow old toilets, very low shower head, microwave was broken, stains on the carpet and couches, very old out dated decor. We ordered room service and it took an hour for undercooked omelette that had no cheese. Besides those items the stay was enjoyable, for the price this resort should update and make sure the rooms are clean. read more

Not great if you want some sleep. Gardening crew starts at 7am- the guy on the leaf blower has been running it for an hour straight but not blowing anything. The front desk staff couldn't have been less interested in the issue. read more
