The pros are mostly related to its very good location & everything seemed to be in working order. The beds were firm, the tv & wi-fi worked, you get a full size fridge & the shower was strong & hot. Our room at $180 for a summer weekend night housed us 4 comfortably. The not so good that aren't deal breakers was that general odor of the room and furnishings that comes with rustic lodges that are over 50 years old(?). And more concerning are the paper thin walls where you can clearly hear most noises emanating from adjacent rooms. Of course, this would only be a problem during busy season or if you have noisy neighbors. Be prepared and maybe bring ear plugs.

The walls are very, very thin and floors above are creaky- you can hear conversations and footsteps from the surrounding rooms. You're provided earplugs at the bedside- definitely needed if you're a light sleeper. Tip- parking at the front is limited and ideal for smaller vehicles. There is a gravel lot on the side of the resort with ample space for larger vehicles and proximity to a first floor patios. Enjoy the view and waves crashing on the patio!

It was like the suburbs at the beach, twenty cookie cutter townhouses. It was nicely appointed though. Our 3 bedroom 3 bath slept 11 they said ( I think 8 is more realistic) with hot tub for $169 pr night with buy two get one free. Some cleaning fees and a hot tub fee. Wi fi. Mostly good. Lake view and short walk to the beach. Nicely decorated. The place shared an outdoor fire pit with the one next door. It didn't really specify that it was shared on the website. Our neighbors monopolized the fire pit the first two nights we were there so we were pitless. We also didn't use the hot tub those nights, it was just frankly too exposed to the neighbors....not that we were up to anything, our ten year old eveven expressed that it was too close to " those noisy drinking people." We used it the last night and it was nice enough. The ten year old enjoyed it as the sky was clear and the stars and moon were beautiful. My primary and ongoing bitter complaint with Beach Break (los t yelp stars) is their laundry policy. They want all their linens washed and this time all folded and out of the dryer at check out which is an early 11am. This means the last night and morning you are doing laundry and getting up at the crack of dawn to get the linens done. Usually the appliances are the stackable kind that dont take an enormous load. We paid a cleaning fee. Other places kindly ask you to start a load, or have you bring your own and charge a little less, or have later checkout (12 would be good)or have bigger appliances. Any of those eould be better than cranky me becoming the towel nazi and making people shower the night before so I can wash towels. We only used three beds I cant imagine if we had used four. I do not like getting up at 8 am my last day at the beach. Grrr. And over the years I have given this feedback as have others and we have been ignored. Same policies in place for years now. So, you have been duly warned. Its a mixed bag.

It is a great location right on the beach. The office staff is super friendly. The place has ample space, is clean, and has plenty of areas to enjoy the views. Plus... the wild bunnies are an added bonus. You can have bonfires on the beach, and walk for miles along the beach. This place is very convenient because it has the best coffee house+bakery right down the street. It has a kitchen and a barbecue pit to cook meals, a full size fridge, and a couch and dining table/chairs. For what you get, and where you are, their rates are very reasonable. I hesitate to post this because I still want to be able to stay there... but it is a really sweet spot along the coast and others should enjoy it as well.

We stayed in unit #3 for valentines weekend , upon entry we were pleasantly surprised to see it…read morelooked nicer in person then in the photos. unit smelled musty so I opened the window to air it out then it was fine. the ocean front view was great had a large flat screen tv in the living room above the fireplace and comfortable couch, loved watching the bunnies in the yard and the people walking dogs down on the beach, fire place was nice for warming up. kitchen had just enough for cooking a meal for two, there were limited dishes 4 exactly and 4 utensils ,there is no dishwasher in the unit and bathtub was very small . bed was soft but comfortable, no tv in the bedroom, carpet in living room needs a deep cleaning. unit felt a little overpriced at 340 a night for the condition of this unit, but it is the best price I could find for a ocean front view in cannon beach for valentines. something that was not explained in advance is the parking spots outside are marked and you are expected to park in the assigned spot ours was a bit away from our unit, also the stairs leading up to the unit are narrow and steep was fine for us but probably not great for older people. Only the unit next to ours had access to the stairs leading to the yard which really bothered me the entire time not having access to the yard in the back, but it was a fairly nice cozy place to spend valentines weekend and it was quiet.

WHAT A TREAT! I'm not even sure where to begin. There were so many activities (kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming, goat feeding, board games, giant outdoor chess, lawn games, giant tricycles, and horseback riding) that I personally never got through my list of things I wanted to do. The barn itself has many rooms with comfortable beds. There are more than enough bathrooms to accommodate all guests. The barn is three stories. The first floor boasts an industrial kitchen and a very large dining room and two bathrooms. The second level has another full kitchen and living area as well as bedrooms and bathroom. This level also has a large open area with a small stage a d dance floor. I can totally see a youth group enjoying this space. My family used it to play D&D. The upper level has more sleeping areas and another bathroom. The owners were very helpful as well as unobtrusive. We have already booked our reunion here for 2020.
