When you walk in....look at all the artwork around the place and behind the bar. The artwork is amazing. Candyce had the chicken tenders with the smashed potatoes. 6 tenders in the order and they weren't small. I had the chicken Ceasars wrap with the onion rings. The chicken wrap was really good. Not just your run of mill wrap. The dip for the onion rings was excellent. Definitely had a kick to it. This place is really good. Great menu and full bar to choose from. Sunday Brunch Buffet Review... What a fantastic find for a relaxed start to Sunday Funday! Call some friends for a meetup or a convenient pitstop on the way to the beach or a Downtown/Ocean Center/Main Street event. All eggs and omelettes cooked fresh to order (understandable slight wait), along with a buffet selection of bacon, sausage, french toast, biscuits, sausage gravy, a toaster with a selection of breads/muffins, jams and fresh fruit of the day. Great value for $15! Coffee is included with optional brunch drink specials from the full bar. Food items on the buffet were overall tasty, and it was well attended, clean and kept coming out fresh. Beautiful dining room and bar with opened garage doors and a few outside tables. Service was spectacular and above and beyond considering the crowd. Good for those that prefer a liquid breakfast in a budget w/unlimited Mimosa's and Bloody Mary's. The atmosphere and outdoor seating look nice. The buffet I saw looked nothing like the advertisement (attached) and we decided to go elsewhere after lifting a few lids of a few of the available (very limited) options. The omelette station looked sparse and I just wasn't in the mood for a liquid breakfast otherwise I may have provided a better rating. I wish I had taken photos of the actual buffet but didn't want to draw any attention. This place has phenomenal decor w/ sea creatures mixed w/ some art deco flair & fluorescent lighting. Service was fast/attentive. I ordered a Mermaid Margarita from their drink special taste good but I taste well water (possibly coming from the ice) I ordered the steak tips. You get a small bowl of smashed potato's & a choice of hush puppies. The steak was layered with gravy a lot so I had to take some of it off. Steak was tasty but a bit chewy and I am figuring it's the type of cut they got. I will definitely give this place another visit. read more

We enjoyed our evening at Beaches! Music that night was provided by Saxman Fuqua. Who was excellent and has outstanding voice. We were quickly seated and our drink order was equally fast. All the credit goes to Victoria who was always moving, checking to see if each table and bar patron was getting their meals on time, their glasses were never empty, and if they were enjoying the music. We ordered a grouper sandwich with Beach's made from scratch mac-n-cheese, soup and salad, club sandwich, and a Caesar salad with blackened shrimp. All our dinners were very good and the blackened shrimp was described as "phenomenal". While Beach's is not the largest venue in town, they do not crowd the seating and we were very comfortable in the center of the room while watching the Saxman. There were people also enjoying the music while sitting in Beach's outside seating. This is our third trip and each time there has been a different style of music. And we enjoyed the performances each time. It's a great place to take friends for a casual dining experience where you can be certain no one will be disappointed. read more

Wow!!! Amazing!!! We had the wings fried and grilled with the beach sauce!! Absolutely delicious! Best wings! Then we had their burgers! and they were beyond delicious. Fairly new restaurant (about 6 mo) on ISB, over the bridge, near the beach. We came here on a Tuesday for some food and music. Yelpers said the food was good, so what did we have to loose. We arrived to a small parking lot in front. Someone came over right away and directed us across the street. Parking at the church. Not too bad. When we came in, the place was hopping. Not a seat in the place available. We saw some friends and they invited us to sit with them. The band was setting up. A local band from the hood. The restaurant has about 4 waiters/ waitresses taking orders at the tables. Ours came over and took our drink order. With the amount of people there, we got our drinks fairly quickly. We decided to place a food order in before the kitchen got swamped. The waiter was awesome. He kept us informed and kept the drinks coming. We got our food, Quesadilla and fish of the day, Grouper. He recommended the grouper grilled. I got a side of blackening. My wife's chicken quesadilla was really good and my grouper was also very nice and flavorful. The band was already playing and the place was jumping. Good food, friends and music. What else could you possibly need and want. The wait staff was awesome. Keeping everyone drinking and eating, they hustled all night long. This is a cute little hole in the wall place with a liquor store next to it, on the corner. This was a nice find for us and you should come try it. Food is great. I think reasonably priced. Really nice decor, Marine type. Yea, they did an awesome job taking care of such a big crowd. At the end, I spoke to a big guy that came out of the kitchen. I said kudos to you and your kitchen staff. Great job. He was so proud of what they had done. On Thursday evenings, 5:30 to 8 PM Daniel "The Sax Man" performs with his smooth Jazz and popular songs with a sweet voice that is entertaining by itself! Very disrespectful staff closed the door on our face without an apology a few hours before closing time. Place looked dead there was couple customers at the bar and no music. We walked on very to Ocean deck instead and had great night there. Wouldn't recommend to waste your time coming here. Last night was actually the third time I've been to Beaches but it has been over a year because we have been out of the area. We were immediately greeted by Jim who offered us a choice of high top tables. We picked one and then moved because the breeze from the open door was chilly and he didn't bat an eye. Turns out he was our server as well. This cute restaurant is tucked in between a car wash and a liquor store, it has outside seating and a large open garage door so it feels inside and outside at the same time. The decor reflects the ocean hence the name. My husband and another person in our party ordered the blackened grouper street tacos, they not only came with two sides they were also regular size tacos. I tasted the grouper which was plentiful and knew I would have to order them on our next visit. I had crab cakes, the sauce on top was a little sweet for me but overall I enjoyed them. The broccoli salad and the macaroni and cheese are house made and delicious. The other person in our party ordered the fried bologna sandwich and the thoroughly enjoyed it as well. Jim was spot on with his service, explaining the menu and just plain friendly. He really made the whole experience enjoyable. We will definitely be back. read more

New restaurant with under the sea theme. Nice decor, decent selection of apps, seafood, sandwiches. Full bar. Large stage with live entertainment at night. There was a bit of a wait for drinks, but it was a busy night. My entrée came out about 10 minutes after the 3 others at our table were served, so timing needs some work. Food was tasty, disappointing that they have no Happy Hour as we arrived about 5:30. Drinks a bit pricey. Another odd thing, the kitchen doors are behind either side of the stage, so as the band played servers were going in and out, and even sometimes walking on the stage with trays of food in front of the performers....quite distracting. We did enjoy our meal, and as this place is newly opened the kinks will be worked out. read more

Found hair in chips and salsa, nothing was done about it. Food was left on table the entire time. Received drinks about 15-20 minutes after ordering while sitting next to the bar. Waitor was more concern about friends then taking order from customer. Forgot to order food. Everyone was running all around and didnt know wat what happening. Tom, my new friend suggested we go to his favorite restaurant beaches very eclectic vibe, decorations, very cool first, we had cheese enchiladas yummy served with pico de gallo, sour cream and guacamole, followed by fried cod batter fried delicious, smashed potatoes and lightly broiled asparagus. We went for trivia and ended up having a great meal! Jim was our server and he was so nice. For food, we had the fish dip, chicken strips and fried fish tacos. I highly recommend the broccoli salad- I would have eaten just that and been super happy. The portions are super large and we had shared entrees. read more

And....they have live entertainment---though not on a Sunday's which when we were there. The house actually has speakers, lights, a cool raised stage. The food was good. My husband had the grilled mahi-mahi sandwich. He loves French fries but usually can't get them out because he's got a shrimp allergy. Arrived on Monday nite with 6 other guys to a great sax and song performer named Daniel. He was terrific and the rest of the evening was the same. Jim, our server was very professional and helpful with our first visit. Drinks were reasonable and they offered several specialty cocktails. The food was the big winner from the chicken strips app to the steak tips entree to the fish and Cuban sandwiches. Portions were hot and large. We were a party of four. Our server was a guy named Danny. He was, by far, the worst server I have ever encountered in a restaurant. NO personality. He took a while to get drink orders to the table and we ended up having to go to the bar ourselves to get drinks. This place obviously does not believe in cocktail napkins or coasters. We got neither and our tabletop was soaked through our entire meal. This guy should not be interacting with customers. We will definitely not return to this establishment. We went to Beaches about 2 months ago for lunch and it was fine -- average beer selection and food was ok. Waiter hyped the chili only to discover they were out so can't comment on that -- but fish sandwich is huge and can easily be shared by 2 people. I'm giving it two stars (would really like to give it one) because we went back on a Sunday to watch football. Weird vibe from the get go -- the bartender kept complaining to his staff that he had to clean the bar, which was kind of gross when you are trying to eat at bar, and the servers were not friendly. We originally sat at a table but when the bar cleared, we decided to move there. Apparently, this annoyed the server who rolled her eyes at the other server after we moved. We had only just ordered a beer so it's not like we were hurting their bottom line by moving. Typical Daytona. And, after that, nobody was friendly. I read this was supposed to be a welcoming place in the same vein as establishments on Flagler Ave in NSB. It isn't. It's another subpar bar on ISB. No clue why they have a liquor store. It always looks empty. Simply put: nothing great here -- beverage wise or food wise. The decor is beautiful but even that kind of detail seems wasted on this place -- wouldn't go back or recommend. read more
