We were seated immediately. The food here is great, however the service falls a bit short. For an appetizer we got fried green tomatoes, the sauce they serve with them doesn't pair well but the tomato itself with the thin coat of breading and the drizzle they put on top is pretty good. I probably wouldn't order these again solely because the breading has a sweet taste. I'm from the south and it's a pass for me. For my entree I got the fish and chips. They were served with fries and chips. They did accommodate me by allowing me to sub slaw or the potato chips. The fish was flaky and thinly coated. It's served with a charred lemon that accentuates the flavor of the fish. I would eat them over and over again from here. It's the second time I've had them. This was the first time I tried the slaw and I am hooked! It has an Asian vibe. It's lightly dressed and simply delicious. It paired well with the fish. I don't drink but their seasonal cocktail menus are always so enticing! The service was sub par both times we've been. The servers felt awkward at the table and weren't able to answer questions about the menu. I asked what their favorite was or what they'd recommend and they said they don't eat there usually. The young lady who took our order wasn't the person who greeted us and got us drink but initially she was a little ray of sunshine. Then the person I was with pointed out she couldn't keep her hands out of her very long hair and was finger combing it on the expo line with her hands! I'll be back bc the food is yummy! Seaside Oyster Bar is several hundred miles from the nearest Seaside location, but it could easily be picked up and moved to any beach town and fit right in. It's a point of humor that they used the Acronym SOB in their logo and marketing, but after eating there I can say that, "That SOB is a darn good seafood restaurant!" The ambiance puts it nicer than your run of the mill Fish Shack, and just below fine dining. A normal bar and grille atmosphere that's classy, not junky. We started with the Ahi Tuna Nachos that were incredibly tasty. My wife had the Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl with more fish than we'd ever seen in a similar entree. It was very good and she couldn't even finish it all, the portions were so generous. I had my perennial favorite, Fish and Grits. I've eaten variations of this at dozens of restaurants from New Orleans to Wrightsville Beach to Miami. I had the Blackened Shrimp with SOB sauce. This was wonderful, and easily beats a majority of the offerings from higher priced locations. The SOB menu gives you choices of 3 different fish and 4 sauces, so I could eat 12 iterations of the same menu item. I plan to try them all. A cute curiosity was the privately labeled hot sauce that is bottled in an eye dropper. It's not terribly hot, and it's very imaginative. First time dining at Seaside Oyster Bar (SOB) and we will definitely go back. Such a positive dining experience. We were welcomed when we entered and seated immediately. Matthew was our waiter and he was friendly and attentive and came to check on us multiple times during the meal. The menu has a lot of variety. I had a cup of Lobster Bisque that was delicious. It had amazing flavor and was thick and creamy. I ordered the Asian glazed salmon over vegetables and it was wonderful. My husband had the fish and chips and it was such a large portion he couldn't finish it. We went during Social Hour and my Chardonnay was only $6.00 and it was a healthy pour. I grew up on the gulf Coast and lived 7 years in Hawaii so I have high standards for seafood and generally low expectations for seafood in the Atlanta area but this restaurant had me feeling like I was literally eating at a restaurant on 30a. We got the tuna tartare that was as good as any I've had on Kauai as well as fried green tomatoes that held their own with the best in the south. The shrimp po boy was also quite good although would have liked a remoulade on it instead of tartar sauce. My husband got the fried platter and thought it was delicious too. We've tried the one in Suwanee, so we were excited to see one a little closer to home. Location on here isn't accurate, which made it harder to find. Directions take you to the Publix. The restaurant is further down and not attached to the shopping center. Mixed drinks are really good and have fun names. We were disappointed that the oysters here are not like the Suwanee location. The other one lets you choose where your oysters are from. It's a good variety. This location only has one type. They're still pretty good, but the ones from Canada (at the other location) are even better. Food was decent. Crab legs are extremely expensive for 1 lb. Service was pretty good. Honestly, I'd drive a little further to get the better quality in Suwanee. read more

I have been to the location in Suwanee twice and really liked it, so I was really excited to see one in Bethlehem being built. It seems like the location is a bit smaller than their Suwanee location. My mom and I came here on a Sunday afternoon. It was pretty quiet and not a lot of people here which surprised me. Upon sitting down at the first booth near the entrance I noticed my seat wasn't clean and had some crumbs and there was food underneath the table that should have been cleaned up. One thing that stood out to me was the Rockefeller oysters. They were cooked to perfection and that was on e fish I really wanted when coming here. My mom ordered the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer and I ordered the Rockefeller oysters. My mom enjoyed the tomatoes and I really enjoyed the oysters. We both had the catfish plate and I ordered the fish fingers for my son. The portion sizes for all of our plates were great. My mom's fries seemed ok but to me they seemed a bit overcooked. She didn't even finish all of her fries for that reason. The coleslaw she had didn't taste great at all. It was very very bland. I ordered different sides and had the grilled corn and seasonal vegetables. My seasonal vegetables were great, but the grilled corn could have used some seasoning. Clean new place, friendly staff, they sit you down right away. We came in on a Sunday at lunch. A lot of fried options on shrimp and everything else, limited options on real cooked food! Not so much a restaurant, more of a fried finger fast food type place. I would give this place a 2.5 stars but yelp will only allow full stars. I had The Best Grilled Salmon I've ever had, with grilled veggies, rice, and a side salad. And for dessert incredible creme brûlée! A perfect meal in every way! Outside eating is also an option. I came in on 6/28 for my first time to try the place with a group of 3 and we definitely had one of the worst experiences there we ordered the seafood tower and the manager was nice enough to remove part of the tower due to the group not enjoying oysters we didn't even receive our drinks until after the seafood tower came out and the tower was not as enjoyable as we expected and we didn't receive the crisps and needed tooling for the tower until a quarter of the way threw eating and about 30 minutes later after our meal the whole group got sick and we did not have an enjoyable time I have never had seafood that made me this sick and just would not recommend it read more

Our first time here and the whole experience was amazing!! We went during Happy Hour for the $1 oysters and they were so good! Then I had the mini shrimp and grits and my husband had the fish and chips and both were outstanding!! Our waiter Mateo was so nice and was on top of everything!!! The place is very nice and very clean and the managers came by several times just to check on us. We drove almost an hour to get there and will gladly do so again soon.
