These guys came through in the clutch for us. They picked up the car, researched local shops for a new alternator, went and picked up the part from Tillamook which is out of town, and fixed the alternator within 24 hours so that we weren't stranded for the rest of our trip. But my wife remained calm and sweet and came up with legitimate ideas and solutions while I totally freaked out on a number of customer service reps on the phone. Progressive insurance failed us in the worst way and the worst time. But Gary's Classic Towing, out of Astoria, are the best and the brightest of the North coast. They got us on the road and then guided us through side roads, so we could navigate to the tire shop... cuz we only had 5 wheels... on a vehicle that usually features 6 wheels. A shiny new flatbed truck, painted with an American flag motif...perhaps there was an eagle too...with its lights flashing... escorted us all the way there at 15 MPH. I called for emergency roadside assistance at 5:52pm. I had a blowout flat and needed to get to…read moretire shop by 7pm. Woman took my info and said that she was going to request an ASAP assist. At 6:42pm, I called for an ETA. Another woman told me that they just needed to release the driver and he'd be there soon. Again, I waited. At 19:38, I called again. No ETA this time. I cancelled the request and called Subaru Roadside Assist (which I should have done in the first place). Not only did Subaru call me back within minutes, the tow truck guy calls me back to make sure I am safe, have water and gives me updates. They are towing me to the nearest Subaru dealer 75 miles away for FREE. YOU SUCK AAA! BTW MY AAA assist number was 11464 so you know this is a legitimate complaint. I won't be renewing.

Mechanic advised Les Schwab that the front end was fine and ok to put the tires on. Still refused but agreed to align. Did so and found that wheel to be the only one not needing adjustment. Still refused to sell us tires. Was told not to bother taking it to Costco (which we should have done in the first case) as they wouldn't touch a car with a damaged tire. Wrong. Costco pleasantly ordered Michelin all season tires for less than the Les Schwab tires and will replace in about 3 days. Very helpful unlike Les Schwab who told us to bring the car back for realignment after we damage it again. Demeaning. Highly recommend considering Costco for your tire needs.

Very predatory company. My roadside assistance insurance contacted them to tow my car to the…read morenearest service provider. They convinced me this was 100% a covered service. First off, they took forever to get to my location when the ETA was originally 30-60 minutes. Then when the service provider declined my vehicle, without letting me know, RPM automotive towed my vehicle to their tow lot. Told me I would have to pay $1500+ plus to get it out. The representative I spoke to blamed it on my insurance and yelled at me telling me he can't help me and to call back when I figure out what I want to do. They basically held my car hostage. Told me they close at 4:00PM so I would be charged an overnight fee unless I paid to get it out. Eventually insurance company somehow got them to drop the charge to $211. I called the morning after to retrieve my vehicle and then they told me $275. Told me I would have to pay cash which is strange. And that I couldn't get my car until 11:00AM, even though they open at 9:00AM. The lot was in a sketchy area and hard to find. On some of the calls I could hear people yelling and cursing in the background. I would not trust doing business with this company.
