Yes you can believe the hype!! I am not on social media but videos of this spot have been shared with me a number of times! I came for the first time the weekend of Mother's Day. I was told that since it was a holiday weekend they were not taking walk in's. As such, I ordered pancakes to go. I sat in my car and ate it!! The Pancake was perfect. Crispy around the edges and soft on the inside. What I really appreciated is that they were not that sweet. I really wanted to try the platter but it is only available as a dine in option. Today I wanted to have the pancakes from this spot again. I called around 10am and was able to secure a reservation for 12 pm! I was so excited. A few things to note- this place is small. The seating is very limited on the inside and then they have a few family style bench areas outside. It is my understanding that the inside is reserved for reservations and then the outside is where you get seated as a walk in guest. This is just based on my observation and I did not confirm this to be true. Service was top tier. We were greeted quickly and our server approached our table within a few minutes of being seated. Our server answered all of our questions. I ordered the platter and substituted the meat options for friend chicken. My friend also ordered the platter and substituted the meat for extra avocado . I had a matcha latte and my friend had a mocha - both with oat milk and hot drinks. The food came out in decent time and was clearly fresh. To me you can taste the quality of the ingredients . I also appreciate that the seasoning is light and not over done. The grits were creamy and gritty at the same time - some of the best grits I have eaten. Everything on my plate was amazing! I only tasted the biscuit because I did feel like the plate is carb heavy and I did not need all the carbs. My only suggestion would pertain to the matcha. I appreciate the fact that it is not pre sweetened, however it was chunky, meaning it was not whisked long enough. Based on my experience with the matcha I would not order that again. Wow! We lucked out driving right up, parking in front and grabbing an outside table right away! Love that the outside tables are community seating. You also order from the QR Code on the table! The service is super friendly, they went out of their way to make sure we had a fan on us. They have a self service water station. Everyone was super nice. Theresa even came to our table and shared a chat. (Loves her stories and am happy for her and Nick's success!) so let's talk food we ordered the chicken cordon Bleu biscuits which was flakey and so delicious. We split the side pancake which had a crunch! We asked Theresa how they made it and it's a three step cooking process that makes it so crispy and fluffy! Definitely made famous by word of mouth because you may miss it if you don't know where it is. Just look for the outdoor tables because the signage won't get you there. Also parking is a bit of a challenge. Believe me, It's worth the bit of challenge. We both ordered coffee drinks. The Chef's Cold Brew is life changing. They use a French press process for making their drinks. Chocolate cold brew with almond cream and coconut sugar. I will never forget this drink and I am not much of a flavored coffee person. I had the Breakfast Tasting which I highly recommended for first timers. There are some must haves as far as I am concerned. You must try the pancakes, and you must try a biscuit. Due to going viral on social media, this local gem is blowing up with crowds on the weekends. We got here on a Sunday around 12:30pm. With no reservation. There is limited street parking around so you might have to search a little. It didn't take us long to find a free parking spot across the street. We were told we had to wait for 1.25 hours but we were put on the waitlist and actually got seated in about 15-20 minutes. We ordered the chorizo biscuit, Maduro pancakes, scrambled eggs, duck ham and black coffee. All of it was fantastic and DELICIOUS! The portions and prices are quite generous. Every bite is so flavorful that you will try your best to clean your plate. The maduro pancakes were a perfect combo of being crispy on the edges and outside yet super fluffy and moist on the inside. All the plantains and toppings that come with it complement the pancake texture and flavor so well. You MUST treat yourself and someone you love to breakfast here. I was really excited to try this place for the first time and made a reservation for 11:15, but the experience was disappointing from the start. As soon as we arrived, we were told we had to be finished by 12:15, which immediately made the visit feel rushed. Unfortunately, the service didn't match that expectation. It took quite a while for our server to take our order, and about 40+ minutes for the food to arrive. To be fair, our server seemed to be the only one actually working--she was taking orders, cleaning tables, making coffee, and even unpacking deliveries right in the dining area. It felt chaotic, with supplies like milk and other items being brought in and placed near guests while we were trying to eat. As for the food, I ordered the sampler and found the portions surprisingly small and underwhelming--one strip of bacon, a small piece of sausage (which had a strange taste), small portions of eggs and grits, one large biscuit, and a piece of French toast that looked a bit lackluster. Everything came with condiments on the side, but overall it just didn't live up to expectations. Again, I really wanted to love this place, but between the rushed timing, slow and strained service, and underwhelming food, it just missed the mark for me. We had a brunch reservation for a party of 4 at 10:30 am on Sunday, 10/17/26. We were seated right away! Tip: Definitely make a reservation. The wait was 2 hours without a reservation. Vanessa was our waitress and she was so, so sweet and absolutely wonderful. They were so busy, but the staff was so great throughout it all. An ode to the Breakfast Tasting ($19), which each of us got. It came with your choice of pancake, waffle, or french toast, so we got to try them all. We got 2 of the pancakes and that was the move because the pancakes were the best out of the 3. Note that the pancakes aren't your typical fluffy and sweet pancakes. They were crispy and definitely not as sweet, but add the syrup and homemade jam and they were *~*chef's kiss*~*. The Breakfast Tasting was literally everything I've ever wanted in a brunch at a restaurant. I always want to sample a bit of everything, but I usually have to be strategic about ordering with a group of people, where everyone gets something different and then we get to taste each other's. We didn't have to do that at Season! Literally everything on the tasting plate was incredible--eggs (we all added cheese), bacon, sausage (a patty, not a link, which I liked!), biscuit, grits (we all added cheese), colcannon fritter, avocado, fruit, yogurt with granola. So much food, we all had leftovers. I also got the Iced Chai Latte ($6) and it was soo good. The spiced caramel cold foam?! OMG, amazing. I've been hearing a lot of rave about this place, so I figured it was finally time for me to go in. I arrived at about 7:40 AM. There was only one other customer at the restaurant. I approached the counter and after a couple minutes, they got me seated. As I'm looking at the menu, she comes over. It tells me I have to move to another table on the other side of the restaurant. So we gathered the items and moved to another table. I'll look over the menu and settled on the steak and egg biscuit. Everybody goes crazy about the biscuits so I felt mandatory to get one and I did not want to do the build drone because I wanted to taste something specifically on the menu so I could really taste what they were working with. Since at the time there was no other customers order and it seemed like it took a rather long time for the order to come up. But that's fine when it came up it was hot and fresh. When you cut into it, it was smoking hot, so it was certainly cooked to order. I take a couple bites of the steak and egg biscuit which also has gravy on it and immediately was caught off guard by how bland it was. I don't know if they forgot to taste the gravy. I don't know if they forgot to season the flour, certainly didn't season the egg. So I sit there and realize the servers outside so I approached the counter and asked for some salt so I can at least halfway season the food and hopefully wake it up. I pick up the steak biscuit after seasoning it take about two bites and go to put it down and take a sip of my drink and my hands are completely covered in grease. I don't know how they make these biscuits but it's almost like they make like a butter swim biscuit or when it comes out the oven, they dip it in a bucket of butter or something because it's just completely soaked with oil. It really doesn't even taste super buttery, but your hands get covered in it. I had already drove an hour and 20 minutes of course I finished the food pay and then leave. But I have to be honest. I can't imagine the experience I got today is the experience that everybody else is raving about. Under seasoned food that's extremely greasy?! I don't think today was their best day. The space is pretty small inside, so I see why the are completely booked all the time I think they have maybe 16-18 seats inside, and then a few picnic tables outside. So darn good that I didn't take a picture! Whew! I stopped by here on a Friday afternoon (around 12pm) and could see they had quite a few tables. That's a good sign. I struggled a bit to find parking and ended up parking on the side of a building that I think is abandoned? Anyway, when I walked in, I was allowed to choose between outside or inside seating. The caveat being that they're doing construction on the back door and I might hear drilling/pounding etc. I chose to roll the dice and sat inside. The waitress was incredibly kind and explained the menu to me and answered all of my questions. I ended up ordering a la carte, one pancake, scrambled eggs, and a piece of grilled chicken. I didn't have coffee because I wanted a latte, and they don't have lattes. That's why on the menu, latte is in quotes. It's French press coffee, which I enjoy, but wanted a latte. The food came out in about 10 minutes and so I was able to enjoy my book in the meantime. The pancake was huge and filled the plate. One was definitely enough. The scrambled eggs and chicken were delightful and cooked perfectly. I enjoyed this meal so much. The ambiance was kind of southern, homestyle/rustic decor with some picnic tables outside. You can see the kitchen when you walk in so you know everything is being cooked fresh. I would give this a 4.5 but Yelp doesn't allow for that so a 4 it is. Okay! So this place is very unassuming from the outside, but the food is top tier! Let's start with the grits. They were so creamy and smooth and tasty. Yum! Then, there is the pancake. This restaurant takes crispy edges on a fluffy pancake to the next level. This is by far one of the best pancakes I have ever had. I can't end without talking about the chilaquiles. DELICIOUS! The handmade tamales were tender and flavorful, paired perfectly with the refried lentils and house-made salsa. The sunny-side-up eggs were cooked just right, with rich yolks that tied everything together. Add in the crema, fresh avocado, and crispy bacon, and every bite was comforting yet elevated. The Breakfast Tasting ($19) is a great option if you want a little bit of everything. We chose a pancake, which was golden and fluffy, and it came with two eggs, bacon, sausage, a buttermilk biscuit, creamy grits, colcannon, avocado, composed fruit, and yogurt with almond granola. The variety was impressive, and nothing felt like an afterthought--even the larder condiments were spot on. A very small space with limited parking. We came in a group of five and were able to get a table outside, though it was wet and we had to request it to be wiped off. Service was slow and not welcoming. There was a lady inside giving orders to people, not sure if it was the owner or manager but she was not very friendly. We asked if there was seat inside or a wait list and she said not until 1pm. That was when I asked if we could have the table outside as there was another group also dining outside. Server didn't come till much later, and also didn't bring many items until requested, such as water. I got the breakfast sampler. My fruits and yogurt didn't come until much much later, and the yogurt was hot. Our syrups also didn't come out until we were half way done eating a waffle. I will say the biscuit was very good! Warm and buttery and fluffy. I would also recommend the chicken and waffles. It was a little spicy which I like and the chicken was juicy and crispy. The matcha latte was a miss, only tasted of milk and sweetener. We were also never checked up on once. I had to go inside to get some items and also pay for the check. Upon leaving we also noticed the table behind us got place mats but we didn't. We did not even get any type of service which was a bummer.
