An ode to the Breakfast Tasting ($19), which each of us got. It came with your choice of pancake, waffle, or french toast, so we got to try them all. We got 2 of the pancakes and that was the move because the pancakes were the best out of the 3. Note that the pancakes aren't your typical fluffy and sweet pancakes. They were crispy and definitely not as sweet, but add the syrup and homemade jam and they were *~*chef's kiss*~*. The Breakfast Tasting was literally everything I've ever wanted in a brunch at a restaurant. I always want to sample a bit of everything, but I usually have to be strategic about ordering with a group of people, where everyone gets something different and then we get to taste each other's. We didn't have to do that at Season! Literally everything on the tasting plate was incredible--eggs (we all added cheese), bacon, sausage (a patty, not a link, which I liked!), biscuit, grits (we all added cheese), colcannon fritter, avocado, fruit, yogurt with granola. Amazing brunch spot!!!!! Went to season for brunch. Parking is very limited. We went around 11am and had to drive around for street parking. There is a small parking lot (gravel and grass area adjacent to the restaurant. Restaurant is tiny and they have a nice outside seating with umbrella's. They were busy. Hours are not long for standard brunch restaurants. There was a wait list. We were seating outside. Food was AMAZING!!!!!! Had the duck and pork belly biscuit! Yum. So sweet and delicious. Due to going viral on social media, this local gem is blowing up with crowds on the weekends. We got here on a Sunday around 12:30pm. With no reservation. There is limited street parking around so you might have to search a little. It didn't take us long to find a free parking spot across the street. We were told we had to wait for 1.25 hours but we were put on the waitlist and actually got seated in about 15-20 minutes. So darn good that I didn't take a picture! Whew! I stopped by here on a Friday afternoon (around 12pm) and could see they had quite a few tables. That's a good sign. I struggled a bit to find parking and ended up parking on the side of a building that I think is abandoned? Anyway, when I walked in, I was allowed to choose between outside or inside seating. The caveat being that they're doing construction on the back door and I might hear drilling/pounding etc. I chose to roll the dice and sat inside. The waitress was incredibly kind and explained the menu to me and answered all of my questions. I ended up ordering a la carte, one pancake, scrambled eggs, and a piece of grilled chicken. I didn't have coffee because I wanted a latte, and they don't have lattes. That's why on the menu, latte is in quotes. It's French press coffee, which I enjoy, but wanted a latte. The food came out in about 10 minutes and so I was able to enjoy my book in the meantime. The pancake was huge and filled the plate. One was definitely enough. The scrambled eggs and chicken were delightful and cooked perfectly. I enjoyed this meal so much. The ambiance was kind of southern, homestyle/rustic decor with some picnic tables outside. The table was directly outside of the location right in front of the door. My reservation was set for 12pm and I arrived at 11:40am. The mocha was definitely on the sweeter side, so if you're not big on sweet drinks, keep that in mind -- but I'm sure they could adjust it if you ask. My husband ordered the chicken and waffles with a side of eggs. Now listen... we love spice, and Vanessa did warn us -- and lesson learned for next time. You might want that spice on the side. Once you step inside you will have full view of the kitchen and the chefs busy cooking and at that moment you would know this is not your typical Brunch spot. Oh my gosh, I cannot say enough good things about Season. First off, the staff is amazingly welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Then the food...just WOW! Whoever would have thought that this tiny, unassuming, neighborhood restaurant would be cranking out such innovative, delicious, consistently on-point, high quality food. I love bacon and this tasted like the thin microwave bacon you receive at a fast food franchise; my eggs were scrambled to a near perfection 9/10; my waffle although tastee, was cold 7/10; the homemade biscuit was a homemade delight coupled with the apricot marmalade 10/10; the sausage patty tasted great and made me desire another, 9/10; the grits were an unique creamy and my guest and I debated if it was just cheddar (h) or cheddar and cottage cheese mix (me), 8.5/10; the fruit and yogurt were basic and I was not a huge fan of, 6/10. Just like any brunch spot, expect to wait a good bit. We got here around 10ish I think and from sitting, eating, check we didn't leave until around 12:30pm. The servers were all pretty busy, so the overall service was not super attentive. Even the host stand was taking a bit bc it appeared the servers were covering it in between tables. We got sat outside at a table that I had to snap the leg back in place and it was one of the only tables with no umbrella. I got a chai latte, that was not my favorite- it tasted like it had orange juice in it? But it was not labeled as having orange flavor. I also got the steak and eggs biscuit. The country fried steak had great flavor but was a bit tough and I had to ask for extra gravy. The biscuit was pretty yummy, but honestly the best thing was the cheddar grits and the little colcannon(a fried mashed potato cake) which I could've ate 10 of those bad boys. My friend got the avocado toast and seemed to enjoy that. Overall it's a small little space that's nice for brunch with a friend as long as you don't mind the wait! I would recommend take out if you don't want to have such a long dine in experience. I definitely want to go back for the grits and to try a different main dish. As I write this review I am eating my leftover egg biscuit thinking about how incredible everything I tasted at Season was. The pancake was crispy and unique. The waffle was a perfect combination of fluffy and crispy. The BISCUIT is still good the second time. My fiance had the whole duck biscuit and he said "that shit was fire. And it was the right amount of food." To top it off they had cute seasonal coffee and incredible service. Shoutout to the nicest guy in the kitchen: chef Robert!!!!
