Used to frequent Seasons 52 for lunch or an after work drink. Great location at UTC and easy to walk to while shopping. It has a nice upscale business vibe without feeling too stuffy. The drinks are delicious and always consistent, food is good, and the service has always been top notch. A solid go to in UTC!

Reservations here are easy to make ahead of time on OpenTable. Food was delicious. Highly recommend the caramelized scallops. Flatbreads were crispy & had great flavors. Loved the mini dessert options (only $4 each)! Fantastic evening with our server, London. She was great and make the experience even better.

Outside restaurant is attractive with palm trees and easy to identify name on the top. Wednesday night walked in solo around 6:45pm, greeted right away and directly lead to the table. The staff who led the way seemed to have a really bad day, cold tone and no facial expression when asked politely to switch to a mini booth instead a four ppl table. And he was able to accommodate . Then there comes Hannah, she is very sweet, friendly and easy to talk to. Her smiles and just right check-ins, totally work 5 stars service. Unfortunately the dishes were not impressive as the service, big failure is the Tuscan white bean soup, too salty to swallow, the ahi tuna tartar is good but seasoning was a little plain. And the sea bass tastes fresh, but the flavor is boring -- tasted like something easily comes out from home. When Hannah noticed that I didn't drink much of the soup, she asked me about it. And she even went to her manager to take that off my bill without asking or complaining. .... Great mental values I got from her during this meal. Overall Hannah's service is FiVe , and food taste 3 stars . So overall total 4 stars . The restaurant is big , fits for small and big parties.

We made reservations and were seated promptly. Our waitress was so helpful since it was our first time. We had their flatbread and a starter which was plenty! Their Hawaiian Pineapple Cosmo was really good! The restaurant was upscale yet casually comfortable. We would come back again! Such a great place!

One awesome restaurant with really nice dishes. First visit at lunch although we'd heard about it. Pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food, specially the salads. Great attentive service and in super atmosphere. We'll certainly visit again.

Made a last-minute Valentine's Day reservation at Seasons 52 in UTC and was pleasantly surprised at how smooth everything was -- easy parking and seated right away with no issues. For such a busy night, that alone was impressive. All of the hosts and servers were very pleasant and welcoming. Service felt organized and efficient, and all of our food came out quickly without feeling rushed. We started with the crab cake, which was very flavorful and paired really well with the beet salad. For mains, the sea bass was cooked perfectly -- tender and flaky, it practically fell apart with a fork. The lamb was slightly overcooked for my preference, but it still had great flavor. The décor feels a little dated, but the atmosphere is warm and comfortable, which made for a nice Valentine's dinner setting. Overall, a really solid experience, especially for a last-minute holiday reservation. Would definitely come back.

Date Night Done Right at Season 52! My husband and I enjoyed a fabulous date night at Season 52, and it exceeded our expectations! A special shout-out to Victoria, our waitress, who served up outstanding customer service from start to finish. She kept our drinks flowing, checked on us often, and made our evening feel extra special with her warm smile and attention to detail. We started with the Shrimp & Crab Stuffed Mushrooms and a bowl of Lobster Bisque--both were flavorful, fresh, and absolutely delicious! For my entrée, I ordered the 8 oz. wood-grilled Filet Mignon with a lobster tail, potatoes, asparagus, and warm butter for dipping. Everything was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. My husband enjoyed the caramelized glazed scallops with a filet mignon, Yukon mashed potatoes, and asparagus. Another winner! The biggest surprise? The value! At around $55 per entrée, we felt the portions, quality, and presentation were exceptional. Steak, lobster, and scallops at that price point made this meal a fantastic value. Bonus: Plenty of parking at UTC, and Season 52 validates your parking ticket! If you're looking for a romantic date night, delicious food, and outstanding service, head over to Season 52 and ask for Victoria. She'll make sure your experience is just as memorable as ours. We left as very happy customers and can't wait to return with our family and friends! Happy Customers, Laura & Mike Songer

Visited here on Christmas Eve with dinner reservations made about 30 minutes before arrival. Seating was prompt and courteous. However, the server was just OK to me. We were a party of three and the other two were not pleased with the server at all. He seemed a bit impatient and wasn't very helpful with recommendations. But I will give him a pass due to the busy season. I ordered the golden beet salad. It was very delicious. I did not want to have a heavy dinner so I just ordered the lump crab starter as my entrée. This was delicious as well and paired well with the golden beet salad. My friends ordered the Philly cheesesteak flatbread, and the vineyard chicken. They were satisfied with the food and enjoyed it, but was disappointed over the service. I would come again. I'm giving four stars as we all enjoyed the food, although, I wished also for better service. My friends would have given a lower ranking.

Came here twice within a week. It was recommended by my cousins who lives in San Diego area. This was located in Westfield La Jolla mall. Great choice to hang out without anyone limiting our stay. The Inside was modern and hip but cold due to the ac blowing hard and it was so dark as well. I would have a hard time seeing the menu. LOL I tried their outdoor patio area even if the weather in the evening was mid 50's. The large heat lamps were not even turn on but it was pleasant as no wind was coming in. I also ate in the dining room but it's just too dark for me. We have ordered a bottle of 'Chateau Ste Michele Merlot' with my cousins. We ordered 'Pesto Chicken & Mozzarella flatbread' to start. One of my cousins ordered their 'Caramelized Scallops' and the other had the 'Charcoaled Sea Bass'; both were very good!! I had the Filet Mignon and Lobster' ...so good! Also, I have their Cesar salad and tried their Kona Grilled Crusted Lamb Loin. Soft and flavorful. The broccolini and mashed potatoes was good together with the lamb loin. My husband's tried their Wood Grilled Pork Chop. The pork was trended and flavored but I didn't like the red cabbage either it. All dishes were generously less on calories of what I would expect. I was surprised for the quantity. prices are decent for the quality of their dishes. Service was excellent and fastas well as friendly and helpful on selections. I would definitely come back here again. Atmosphere was great for chillin' and just hangout in the outdoor seating, and talking to friends or family. I would definitely recommend this place! Food is always amazing here ambience is very nice and quiet and relaxing. However, if you come after 8 PM it seems like the people behind the bar only concerned about cleaning up the bar. Unfortunately, clearing my plate is not on their priority list. However, this restaurant is known for every meal under 595 cal and the very best to accommodate your dietary needs. Unfortunately, service after the rush is not their forte .

A beautiful bar in the Westfield UTC mall. The bartenders are always attentive. There is usually a wait during peak hours, but may be easier to find a spot at the bar. Parking can get busy at the mall too. Great happy hour flatbread and drinks! Their risotto and mac and cheese starters are delicious too!

Seasons 52 at UTC is one of our go-to happy hour spots whenever we are at the mall! They have a great deal with a flatbread and either wine or a cocktail everything always tastes super fresh and flavorful. We also love the hummus appetizer and the meatballs. I love that their dishes are all under 500 calories, and my favorite is the pepperoni flatbread with sun-dried tomatoes and basil. The Sparkling Cosmo is citrusy and bright, and the sangria is another winner! We love sitting on the patio for an alfresco happy hour with friends -- great vibes every time!

    Sesame-Grilled Salmon Salad

Seasons 52 is a health-conscious chain restaurant with select menu ingredients that rotate with the 4 seasons, 52 weeks out of the year. Their meals are designed with the goal of being under 595 calories per dish, and they offer a very strong wine selection. THE FOOD & WINE * Filet & Flight Special ($52): We opted for the 8 oz filet mignon upgrade, which was tender and well-prepared, served alongside creamy mashed potatoes, mushrooms, and asparagus. This paired smoothly with a flight of Joe Wagner red wines (Pinot Noir, Red Blend, and Cabernet Sauvignon) and finished with one of their signature mini indulgence desserts. * Sesame Grilled Salmon Salad: The salmon was juicy with a balanced glaze that was not too sweet, allowing the fresh taste of the fish to stand out. The fresh greens, crunchy jicama, and grilled pineapple were excellent, textural complements to the fish. * Caymus Wine Flight: We also ordered the Caymus flight, which featured a crisp Sauvignon Blanc, a Pinot Noir, and their signature Cabernet Sauvignon. THE SERVICE & AMBIANCE Our server, Sarah, was friendly and attentive. She was professional and provided solid food and dessert recommendations. This Seasons 52 location offers a large bar and an indoor dining area accented by rich woods. The outdoor area is bright and great for people-watching, equipped with several heat lamps and a mini-fireplace for cooler weather. OVERALL A staple, health-conscious restaurant that delivers a consistent experience across the country. It is a reliable place for good wine and food for outings with family and friends.

Ask the Community - Seasons 52

Do you still Validate Valet Parking?

Yes! I just got validated there last week.

Do they still have happy hour here ? Reservations needed?

    Yes

What are good vegetarian options (which does not include meat, mushrooms and Brussels sprouts)?

Do they have fries as a side?

    Nope

Do they still have the crispy asparagus and prosciutto flat bread?

That is no longer available 😬

Are dogs allowed on the patio?

As mentioned, only service animals... including the patio. It's a completely ridiculous policy for such a pet friendly mall. And there is an entrance to the patio without having to go through the restaurant, so there is no excuse except snootiness.

First visit, craving an omelette after most breakfast places had closed, found Nature Forward on…read moreYelp and decided to give it a try. Reviews here assert they have been open for a while, banner out front said "grand opening" so I'm unsure if there was a management/ownership change or that has been up for a while. Place was incredibly clean and staff were very friendly, I would definitely come back again. Some observations and constructive feedback: the menu (both physical on table and QR code for digital) has a lot of ambiguity that staff couldn't easily answer. For instance: "daily mimosa specials" (you had me at mimosa) but I asked my waitress who asked someone else what kind of mimosas (a lot of back-and-forth to see if we had regular OJ for that). I can't tell you how much I paid but it was delicious. I asked what fruit came in the "fruit bowl", the answer I got was helpful (banana, blueberry, strawberry, there was surprise melon) but here on yelp it claims to be a parfait, after I ordered the waitress told me it had yogurt and granola (sure why not), what arrived was fruit with granola on top (I would have skipped the granola). A fruit cup or a side of fruit would be a welcome addition to whatever is supposed to be in that, but it was tasty and I ate it. The grilled banana bread (sigh): something I've baked a million times and enjoy many different ways, had a lot of streusel mixed-in and on top - it was good but the streusel diminished it, too much of of a good think maybe. The honey butter on side was a little thick to spread but good, the strawberry jam was great but never something I'd spread on banana bread. I would have put it on my sourdough toast that came with the omelette, but that came without the toast. Let's discuss the omelette which tasted great, back to my menu confusion, it says "BYO omelette with 3 fillings" and lists no fillings, so I had to ask, and was told "just about anything you could imagine". A list would have been helpful. I went with cheedar, bacon, and peppers - my go-to is a greek (spinach, tomato, feta) I don't know if they had spinach or tomato but no feta so I didn't ask. The omelette comes with potatoes or slaw, I didn't want potatoes so I chose slaw, after ordering they were out of that so I chose spring mix, then was told that was not an option. A side of fruit (for less than the $12 I think I paid for that) would have hit the spot but I told them I had already ordered plenty and the omelette was fine solo, expecting it to come with the sourdough toast. Again: the food and service were good, I will definitely be back, but I think the menu could be clearer or the kitchen could either limit people's choices (eg we have these 4 kinds of omelets) or post ingredients/options on the wall (chalkboard like the one out front?) if they change frequently.

We came here only because of the reviews, which in hindsight, I should have read more carefully. The front has a large Grand Opening sign, which I thought was odd with all the reviews. We were seated inside which was surprisingly hotter than outside. She said she would be back with water. The water took 10 mins, and when she dropped it we asked if we could order with her. She said, "Sure, I'll be right back" before disappearing for another 10 minutes. I had planned to order the chicken & waffles that were on the website, but the menu when we arrived was completely different. Since I don't eat eggs, I went with a side of potatoes, the sourdough bread plate with strawberry jam and bacon. My girl got a breakfast burrito no meat. 30 minutes later, they brought out my bacon and then 5 minutes after her burrito with my potatoes. No biggie, the waitress realized the misunderstanding and asked if I wanted my side of potatoes and I am so glad I said no just based on time. We both agreed those were the saddest potatoes we have ever had, just oily, stale, and unseasoned. Then she took a bite of the burrito; the tortilla was undercooked, and there was tons of bacon. Next, my "sourdough" was delivered, which was just two pieces of white bread. My girl laughed and said, "You are paying $12 for bread." We asked for the bill because we were late for volunteering, and it wasn't edible. The server could tell we were frustrated, and I explained I ordered sourdough and the burrito was supposed to be no bacon. The waitress repeated that's what she put in the computer and we could talk to the owner who was also the chef's wife. The lady comes out, I explain the situation, she looks at the menu, and it's clear she doesn't know what sourdough is and English is not her first language. It then becomes clear that they don't know what's listed on the menu. The most shocking was that she then took the fork and began picking the burrito to find the bacon, like we were not being honest. They took both items off the bill. We still paid for the coffee, bacon, and the bread that was on the menu for $12 only rang up as $5, and the jam was "on the house" since apparently it's extra. I have never spent +$20 and still been hungry like that; what a disappointment. Our water was never refilled. The entire hour we were at the restaurant, despite me asking multiple times. Do yourself a favor and don't go.

However it wasn't until 2020 that I fully embraced my passion in wine - while I have wine tasted in a few places around the world, Paso Robles in particular stressed the importance of education in the wine tasting experience. Many of the tasting room staff and sommeliers have at least a wine certification (usually WSET or CMS) and proudly boast it. So I figured if I'm going to spend quite a bit of time and money on wine, I might as well be an educated consumer in the process. Since I don't work in the industry (I'm actually in healthcare) and I don't want to work in the restaurant biz as a sommelier the Court of Master Sommeliers cert route was a no-go. Plus the CMS route emphasizes self-study and I prefer classroom learning. For a hobbyist who may in the future want to dabble in the industry on the side, the Wine & Spirit Education Trust was the way to go. Being based in SD Wine Smarties with Lindsay was the most practical choice. She offers three levels of the WSET plus the diploma - first level being just a 1-day class followed by the test followed by the 2 and 3 being 4 and 8 1x/weekly classes, respectively, with an in-person as well as an online option. She offers her classes in San Diego as well as Temecula. Having dabbled in wine and tasted wine in parts of CA/Mexico/parts of Europe for at least 5 years my knowledge alone was enough to skip L1 plus for the cost of the class (~$300) I would rather spend on wine club allocations. So I decided to start at L2. If you are not sponsored by your employer the cost is around ~$700 for L2 and ~$1300 for L3 and if you are taking the online portion you'll also have to purchase your wines separately. While you could also skip L2 and go straight to L3 in theory many people have advised to at least take L2 to get used to the WSET testing style and to also get used to the "systematic approach to tasting", which is essential if you want to pass the L3 tasting portion of the exam (L2 is only a 50-question multiple choice exam). Plus Lindsay does have a discount for L3 students who have taken her previously for L2. Lindsay was an awesome instructor who has such passion for wine and has a lot of experience gaining that knowledge from all over the world. She does have a propensity to go slightly off topic to talk about her travels but as a fellow traveler myself I actually enjoyed those anecdotes. But in the end I highly recommend to study off the WSET course material - after all it is the WSET that tests you at the end of the day. Even while handling a full time job and other activities I studied on an average a few hours a week. There was a miscommunication at the end regarding my exam date that I had specifically mentioned a month before in an email starting the class. While the original date wasn't honored she did work with me to schedule an alternate date to take the exam. Turns out that I did pretty well - got a 94% on the L2, which qualifies as a "Pass with Distinction". The best part about taking Lindsay's WSET classes? Getting introduced to wines that I have never heard of or tasted before. I thought I knew a little more about wine than the average consumer but this was before I had ever known about a carménère or tasted a meursault. Because of this class I consider those wines some of my most favorite wines along with the usual Paso or Valle suspects. For this specifically I am super grateful. Looking forward to taking the L3 with Lindsay in 2022 and will update this review as such to detail the L3 experience.

No matter where you are on your journey to learn about wine, Lindsay always makes you feel great about your level of understanding. Lindsay is so encouraging, and her classes are so enjoyable, that you almost don't realize that you've also learned a ton! She has the highest level of certification available (Master of Wine), and within that certification, received the Bollinger Medal, which is awarded to one person each year for excellence in tasting and outstanding achievement! Lindsay is incredibly gifted at understanding wine, and sharing that knowledge. I'm so glad she is in San Diego.
