    Fantastic SUGAR-FREE turtle cake!!
    Em H.

Though we weren't addressed when entering the bakery, a nice man told me to let him know if I needed help. I ordered the sugar-free turtle cake and am so glad that I did. It is always difficult for me to find low carb foods and I was thrilled that this bakery had a sugar-free option. What's even better is that it tasted phenomenal! If I lived in the area, I would be visiting this bakery on the regular! My friend took advantage of low prices on bagged candy (you get to choose from a lot of different candies, including a couple of sugar-free candies as well!) and was very excited with his finds. If you're in the neighborhood of the Virginia Beach Farmer's Market, check out Season's Bakery!

Located in the farmers market on the corner of Dam Neck & Princess Anne. We were greeted immediately by the cashier as we walked in. We ordered 3 of the double chunk chocolate chip cookies, an apple turnover, and a churro donut. All of them very sweet and rich in flavor.

Seasons Best Bakery has an indoor location at the Virginia Beach Farmers Market with regular, year-round hours. They offer a variety of sweet and savory options as well as take home meals. -- The Setup -- The bakery has a nice glass display with clearly marked prices for its baked goods, along with shelves of candy and freezers with take-n-bake options. There is no room to eat inside, but the farmers market has picnic benches outside. --- TLC -- Everyone was pretty friendly and helpful. One young woman with long hair was especially helpful multiple times. She really stood out with her customer service and positive demeanor! -- The Food Purchased -- I've stopped by three times and tried everything the day I purchased it. $3 per take-n-bake cinnamon bun with cream cheese icing on the side (we got 3 for $9): They were perfect, not too sweet, with an excellent amount of cinnamon filling. Would return for these! (5/5*) $3.50 pumpkin bar: Tastes like pumpkin pie but without the usual crust, a bit too sweet but great pumpkin flavor and a hint of cinnamon/pumpkin spice. (3.5/5*) $4 tomato tart: Like a deep dish pizza without sauce; the flaky crust is the best part! Not sure how to eat it to avoid the tomatoes completely coming out unless you use a knife. Get it warmed! (4/5*) $4/small peach cobbler: A disappointing, gelatinous, sweet mush with overly sweetened peaches. Way too much moisture/sugary syrup. The entire dish has a dumpling, custard-like texture. While the bottom of a cobbler is usually like that, there's usually more sponginess in the middle and crispness on the top. (2/5*) $4/small raisin rum bread pudding: The flavor was good; texture could have been better. The chunks of bread are only distinguishable on top; the rest of the pudding is all one, slightly spongy, custard texture. The rum flavor and raisins were good. (3/5*) Under $2 for 4 "lemon truffles" which are similar to Starbucks cake pops. The center is lemon cake; nicely dense and moist but sweet lemon flavor that lacked any tart/citrus flavor. Outer layer of icing/white chocolate(?) is very sweet. (3/5*) Under $1.75 for 4 peanut butter balls. These are essentially round Reece's cups with better quality chocolate. I think they're good but don't stand out. My spouse thought the peanut butter was powdery and not creamy enough. (3/5*) -- By the Pound -- The "truffles" and peanut butter balls are priced by weight; you don't have to order by the pound, but you have to purchase 4 at the minimum. -- Cash & Credit -- They accept credit cards with a $4 minimum purchase. -- Takeaway -- I highly recommend the take-n-bake cinnamon rolls!! I like supporting local businesses and may stop by again if going to the farmers market or I'm craving cinnamon rolls. I was expecting a bit more of some of the other goods we tried and some were just too sweet for my tastes, so I will probably stick to the cinnamon rolls.

    Marshmallow kabobs

After taking a morning walk to West Neck Creek Natural Area and eating some really good Strawberry Ice Cream from Gilly's, I decided to head next door this this bakery located at the Farmers Market. Friends of mine raved about it for a while so I said 'Why not?!' Not only do their whip up dessert treats (which also include regular snacks you see in grocery store aisles and gas stations), they also cook tarts and regular food. For my sweet tooth, I ordered 2 Marshmallow kabobs covered in white chocolate. I am a complete sucker for white chocolate so I couldn't resist. When I ate them as part of my lunch, I was impressed. Again, white chocolate......which complemented the marshmallows. And a nice touch to add sprinkles and edible decorations. This definitely will be a repeat the next time I'm in the area.

    Cinnamon Bun!

I love the smell of fresh baked goods when you walk in a bakery, and when you walk in it definitely hits you! There's plenty of choices and they all looked so yummy! I went particularly for the cinnamon bun today and boy it is huge! All the middle were gone leaving the edges (which I personally don't like) so I had one to go. I also tried their sweet potato biscuits. The bun was good, plenty of brown sugar and the cream cheese frosting was very good. The sweet potato biscuit was not. It was Dry and tasted old. I also saw flies landing on the loaf of bread that was sitting on the counter and that for me is like a total turn off when it comes to wanting to try more stuff. I know where to go now for some good cinnamon bun and hopefully I will get the middle next time!

We stopped by this bakery for a treat and we were so happy that we did! We came for the cookies, bread pudding, & truffles! I literally think the chocolate chip cookie was the best I've ever had in my life! And it was a jumbo size! We purchased the red velvet & carrot cake truffles, YUM! They were decadent & literally perfect! Of course our child loved hers! My husband loved the bread pudding too. They sell all sorts of goodies from candy to baked dog treats & more. Next time we plan on trying one of their pot pies and bread items. We loved the smell of fresh bread being made. Prices were reasonable, the woman who helped us was friendly. This is not a bakery you dine in, but there are patio tables and chairs outside for customers. We will definitely be back.

I have been in here a couple of times just to roam around and peek at what they had available. The smell captures you from outside. Truly fresh baked items! This last visit we ordered a few items. Our absolute favorite was the sweet potato monkey bread. I cannot rave enough about this particular item. It was heavenly. Even my husband couldn't stop complimenting the taste and texture. We agreed it was the best thing ever. Our daughters really enjoyed their chocolate covered cherries and the crazy good brownie we all shared. Definitely going to make this a frequent outing as a family to enjoy some of Virginia Beach's finest baked goods.

We stopped by here when visiting Farmer's Market while looking for a pumpkin. You can smell the apple pies baking while walking passed the bakery! This is what lead us to go inside. Omg smelled so delish when you walk in. It was a tough decision on what I wanted to try because they had so much to choose from and their apple pie not only smelled amazing...it looked amazing! They also had jumbo cinnamon rolls and pumpkin cheesecake bars that looked pretty yummy too. I could go on and on because they really had a huge variety of yummy baked goods. We chose their gigantic chocolate chip cookie, velvet truffles and their country apple mini cheesecake. They were pretty busy but we were greeted right away and they were organized in getting our order ready quickly. I also noticed they have lots of different soups which I'd like to try sometime. Everything was delish. Hope we come back soon to try more of their goodies! So yummy in my tummy. Glad we stopped by this amazing bakery.

It's about time that I upgrade my review ofs this place. It's always a joy to visit Season's Bakery because they always have something new to offer. Something that catches your eye and satisfies your hearts desire. There something with Season's Bakery that make then stand out compared to others and that's the quality and solid comfort sweets. I guarantee, that you won't be disappointed because they sweets here are so damn good. Also, this is the kind of place that leaves a mark in your heart whenever you're in Farmer's Market, the first thing comes in your mind is their name. In my recent visit, I ordered the MINI TURTLE CHEESECAKE. It was insanely delicious. The choco oreo crust is to die for and the cheesecake is smooth, creamy, and rich. God, I almost had a food orgasm. Every bite melted in my mouth. This is one of the best store in Farmer's Market that must not be missed.

    James M.

Totally agree with everyone else: The Southern Tomato Tart is out-of-this-world good and totally new, at least to me. The play between buttery crust, aromatic herbs and spices, and stewed tomatoes is one of the best flavor combinations imaginable. I could eat these daily and never tire of them. It was so good I had to go back the same day and try another of their offerings. I went with the sweet potato monkey muffin with pecans. Also outrageously good. I'll post pictures of both in an update.

I already knew this was my destination as I had been following them since they opened in VB. Upon our arrival we found the Cafe about a 1/4th of the way full so I had hopes for breakfast in a quiet setting. Even though there was a steady flow of traffic, we were able to dine in a relaxed setting without feeling rushed. I mention this because with it being a holiday weekend full of Jeepers, I fully expected them to be packed. The wait to order was too long as it left me staring at the pastry window so long I almost ordered one of everything however; I refrained from doing so but still bought 4 pastries, French toast & seasoned potatoes. Yes yes, alot of food for 1 person but I still had 2 days left in my visit and well, I have a thing for pastries. The pastries were: mango & passion fruit eclair, a pineapple muffin, lemon raspberry cake & profiteroles. I loved everything with the exception of the eclair. It wasn't anything against the eclair, it's just the mango/passionfruit mixture was just too passionate for my tastes. The muffin reminded me of my own homemade upside pineapple cake without all the brown sugar. It was light and buttery. The Lemon raspberry slice was delightful & not the least bit tart or too sweet. A mixture of both flavors without either one overpowering the other. The cake was super moist, perfect. The profiteroles were my favorite. They reminded me of that feeling I had the 1st time I tasted them while living in Italy. The choux perfectly baked and so delightfully light. The French toast was good enough without the side of syrup. The star for me of the breakfast items were the potatoes. I LOVED them. They were served HOT, seasoned just right with their insides softer that a baby bottom. I coulda just ordered 2 servings of those & bypassed the toast. All in all, well worth the wait. The folks were friendly, the Cafe clean and the seating plentiful and comfortable. I would recommend this place for both pastries & French toast & spuds.

Everything looked lovely, it was hard to decide on what to get. She had also just made some fresh pastries. I decided on some ube pendesal, and as I'm a sucker for tiramisu I also asked for that. She offered the fresh pendesal as well, which I couldn't say no to, so I got that as well. She was overall very nice. I saw the empanadas in the corner, and I know I'm already gonna have to come back to try more. She told me how to keep the pendesal fresh, and I thanked her and went to my car to try the breads. The fresh pandesal was amazing. Fluffy, light, warm, soft, a little sweet, just so good. The ube one was a little heavier, and had a halaya and cream cheese filling, which I just loved. I tried one at the farmers market by an Italian lady, and I think this one is better. It has good ratios of everything. It's not drowning in coffee, the cream is nice and sweet, and it isn't too mushy. This will now be my go-to spot for tiramisu for sure. I can't wait to come back and try more!

I was meeting a friend, she was late, not reachable by text or phone, which is highly unusual for her. After a half hour wait I was convinced my friend was having a health issue. I thanked Erin, explained the situation to her, and left to drive to my friend's house. Needless to say, five minutes later (still in the parking lot), I got a message through Messenger that my friend was safe inside the restaurant. Erin volunteered her personal phone to help us out and was very kind through the whole debacle. Almost needed a daytime glass of wine to recover! (no go - driving) The restaurant is very cozy and welcoming. But I get distracted on my way to the table by the amazing pastry display! And they're not just pretty, they back it up with good taste.

We have ordered delivery via a third-party app a few times now. Everything is very well packaged…read moreand labeled. The food has been great every time we have ordered. The chicken parm is awesome, as are the mozzarella sticks, cannoli, and calamari. Sorry not pictures we devoured it. Portions are large! I'm going to have to make a stop for a meal. Highly recommend!
