Grocery store lodged in middle of a shopping complex World Shops or Shops on Yonge. Prices are average and you'll rarely see any major bargain deals. Most of their specials seem like regular price to me. Produce section looks fresh and lots of Asian produce and options, reminds me of a T&T with less packaged good options. They do have regular customers from being next to a condo and do have everything you need for an Asian grocery haul. A good spot to pick up a couple of items if you happen to be in area, but I wouldn't say it's a draw to come here. Occasionally they have ready to eat items on sale which I tried a while ago. I don't know if I would recommend it given they are sitting out on a table at room temp, your mileage may vary. We have recently started picking up casual items at Seasons Foodmart and were just getting to like this store as it's minutes away from our house. However, yesterday (March 8, 2026), my husband had to return a pomelo as it had fungus growth on one end. My husband did not see this rot as the pomelo was in a fancy pink bag. The girl at the return counter was rude to him when my husband asked why they did not check their produce and she even refused to call the manager on duty. Yes, a few of the check-out cashiers don't respond or interact with their customers, we have noticed that for many years. Perhaps store owners should train their cashiers how to engage, greet and acknowledge their customers. read more

Walking into Seasons supermarket in P1 of World on Yonge is like walking into a global bazaar, with its aisles filled with Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Filipino, Middle Eastern, etc. goods. I especially love their variety of fire chicken noodles (불닭)! And their hot food section... When they first opened, it was a bit of a letdown -- bland flavors and soggy fried stuff. But now? They've done a 180. Their Longjiang pork knuckle rice, a recent addition at just $9.99 (soup and pickles included), is something I now crave. There's a place near Finch station that does the same dish, but Seasons' version beats it IMHO. Seasons' cleanliness can be hit or miss. The meat and fish section often has this off-putting smell, and the veggies range from super fresh to "maybe I'll pass." It seems like they could do with better rotation. And finding an English-speaking employee can be a bit hard sometimes. The ample free parking underground is a lifesaver, especially on those rainy or snowy Toronto days. And another thing I really appreciate is how they're open on most stat holidays, like this Christmas. Seasons is a bit of a mixed bag, with incredible variety and great food options, balanced with some areas that definitely need a bit of attention. But for me, it's a regular grocery stop. read more

It is what it is. A medium size Asian-centric grocery store conveniently located off of busy Yonge with a large underground parking lot. While reviewers complain about the cashiers and other staff, we had no problems. Simply pay and go. This market may have higher prices than larger stores, but we found some sale items to be well-priced, especially on snack items and end-of-the-day bakery. Nearby residents benefit from having a market they can access without the hassles of bad weather or busy traffic. Lastly, the prices are much lower than convenience store and selection is comparable to a medium size grocery store. read more

They have a good selection from various countries, but mostly Korean, Chinese and Filipino. They have fresh fruit, vegetables, meat and fish. It really isn't up to T&T's game face standard in organization, cleanliness and product availability but it does its work in the 'missing ingredients' department and a 5 minute drive to quick Filipino recipes my household ever so often craves for, bloody appetites of cavemen when the weather gets chilly, papa bear wants some hot sinigang (sour base soup with pork and veggies) and baby bear wants some baked Korean BBQ, SEASONS got my back! They sell fruits in season and carry out weekly sales on odd items like this previous summer, Terra Delyssa olive oil 1000ml went for $5.99 so mama bear stocked up plenty in time for hibernation when trips to Costco turn in to Boxing Day everyday frenzy and nobody has time for energy breaking mood busters like that. Seasons had me winning in the good fats department for the entire year. Like most of the Chinese supermarkets, plenty of leafy vegetable alternatives available . Chilis, bitter melon, squash, okra, eggplants and long beans.. perfect for that pinakbet or Kare Kare when you crave for more than peanut butter on bread. The only thing I would recommend is having more cashiers available during peak hours to avoid a zoo on the weekend. Although it is strongly advised to come during weekdays so you're in and out. They have a hot food section in the back for quick combo orders like the usual, including sweet and sour pork, fried beans, fried eggplant and a small dim sum choosing. Fried whole tilapias, shrimp tempuras, red bean sesame balls and also a dessert section with cakes and other asian sweets. Parking has to be validated but I believe it is free for 3 hours which is enough time to get your feast worked up before the fam bam come over for some karaoke and party trays of Filipino staples. read more

Seasons Food Mart is located in the basement of Shops on Yonge. Ample parking in the underground parking lot which has direct access to the supermarket. Great when it is raining or snowing outside. Seasons Food Mart carries a good selection of Asian groceries, not as good as T&T. I don't mind coming here to pick up odds and ends but probably won't be doing all my shopping here. read more

It's an Asian grocery store that carries Chinese, Japanese, Middle Eastern and Korean products. It's located in the underground level of the Shops of Yonge mall in Markham. There is direct access from the parking lot so that is a bonus. It's a clean, well labelled store but I found the aisles to be narrow. There is a hot food station and a bakery section at the back, produce in the front of the store. There is also table and chairs to sit and eat food purchased from the hot station. There is also a small section for household goods and beauty products but it looks all mashed up and jumbled together. The customer service is terrible for me - I noticed the cashier talked to the customer in front of me (I believe in Chinese) but pretty much ignored me and just talked to the cashier next to her throughout the whole transaction - never said one word to me. There are many more grocery stores that would be better if you need to find particular Asian grocery items - T&T, even Loblaws carries some items! This was definitely a pass for me read more

This place is terrible compared to other Chinese supermarkets. - the selection is extremely limited compared to others - the staff are rude and almost all of them don't speak or understand English - the cashier is extremely slow, usually only two are open - the cooked food is blend and lack flavour - the aisle are messy and with boxes all over the floor - the prices seemed to be more expensive Avoid this place. We used to shop here all the time because it is very close to our home and they used to be friendly. Now they don't even bag your grocery, my wife has to bagged them her self (it is no better than self checking at walmart). Most of the items they sell are not even fresh mostly rotten. Cashiers are not doing their jobs anymore and they are more interested in using their cell phones.(which I don't think workers are allowed to anyhow.) we do our groceries now either at No Frills or T&T. If I can only give them zero stars I would. Would rather drive far than shop there. read more

The store is located on the underground level. You won't really notice that there's a big supermarket when you drive by. But if you live the area, you should look for it. Here's why. Clean - all the goods and veggies are nicely displayed on the racks. Meat and seafood area is clean and not smelly. Variety - 60% Chinese grocery, 25% Korean grocery and 15% other grocery. Food court - small food court and bakery if you want pick a quick lunch or dinner. Price - overall, it's definitely cheaper than TnT and Gallaria. Maybe slightly more than the small Asian market. Nice ethnic supermarket. The selection of products is great if you're looking for ethnic products. I can't say that the your daily needs will be met to your liking. But than again I am looking at the selection necessary from the point of view of an american consumer focusing their tastes on the average european/english/american diet. Time to update .. We still shop at this store every so often. But according to my recent observation, this place is not so good compared to other Chinese markets in Toronto. During my last few trips meat was still good but fruit and vegetable were a bit pricey. They used to carry maamoul and Turkish delight, which I always got here as I found them really tasty.. but now they disappear from the shelves. Maybe I was the only customer who would buy them at a Chinese supermarket? I suppose they did not have a high profit margin so they stopped selling them.. Disappointed. They have a bakery section but the few bakery items I bought here were pretty bad. I would rather splurge a bit more at a local bakery.. They started charging for plastic bags, which is absolutely fine but they put up a notice saying that it is due to government policy. Yet amongst all the other Chinese stores we have been to, except for T&T, nobody does that. Nice try.. Okay owners, let me put it this way, if you charge for bags, I assume you want your store to be on a par with T&T, or other local chains like Loblaws. If that is the case I would expect better customer service. I've witnessed a lady from another race ask an employee a question politely but get snubbed- the employee did not even look at her. It just sucked to see that. By no means am I a human rights activist but I always want to see different races get along well and work for a better understanding between them. I know it is not an ideal job to work in a grocery store but It is just plain rude to ignore your customer, especially when they are friendly to you! They were opened and we were curious so we went in for some late night shopping. Prices are prob. on par with T&T but definitely not as fresh. I noticed the zucchinis were all wrinkled looking, some snow peas seemed questionable, certain fruit look like they needed to be replaced etc. or perhaps it's cuz I was there end of the day. I was receiving flyers for this brand new Asian supermarket for a few weeks in June. I thought, it was interesting but I decided not to check it out because I already go to the Korean supermarket Gallaria for Asian type food. Plus, Gallaria is open 24 hours. Getting a flyer last week, I thought, who cares, let me check it out! It is so close to Yonge and Steeles, just a little North of Gallaria. When you turn right on Meadowview Avenue from Yonge, you turn directly left into a condo parking complex. It kind of reminds me of the parking garage that Metro has close to Yonge and Finch. We parked the car and proceeded inside. Truth be told, it's a tight little knit Asian supermarket. It is very neat and tidy. The aisles are small but it still has a lot of different Asian type foods and a small arrangement of cooked foods too. We were looking for extra lean ground beef but could not find it in a package. We asked the butcher person and he told us he would ground up a hunk of extra lean sirloin for us. I saw he picked up the meat and put it into a meat grinder on the side. Saw our meat come out nice, clean and fresh. He gave it to us and was friendly. He asked for our ethnicity and tried speaking to my wife in her dialect. Fun! I continued to walk around and I saw a lot of foods that were not found in Gallaria. More specifically, they had Filipino grocery. I cashed out, paid by credit card and left. I checked the hours on the flyer and they are open until 11 PM each night which is very convenient for our grocery hours. I will most definitely return here for my Asian type purchases. read more

Horrible customer service. Cashier was very unfriendly. She had a sour face the entire time. She kept giving us dirty looks while we were self bagging the items. If she did not want us to help bag the items, she should have said so. My elderly father grabbed another bag to put the box of mangos that we had purchased, at which point, the cashier proceeded to sternly say that if we took that bag, she would charge us. The few cents less per item is not worth going. Lots of other Asian grocery stores like Galleria and T&T that we do not have to put up with grumpy cashiers. read more

This Asian-oriented grocery has leased the main space in the new shopping centre at World on Yonge. They have been leaving flyers in the advertising packets we get on a weekly basis and they opened on June 6. The format is a cross between a T&T and a Sunny Foods. There is an in-store cafe and bakery, meat and fish counters, grocery aisles and a produce department. The selection seemed quite good and they had some nice specials. I am giving them only two stars for several reasons: First, while the people in the produce department were friendly and helpful, I cannot say the same for the grouchy SOB behind the meat counter. I wanted a kilo of something and he gave me almost four pounds. Since his English was either limited or non-existent, the folks in back of me translated my request into Chinese and he took some out of the package but I still had three pounds. They then explained to me his scale was in pounds only, unusual in Canada where most supermarkets show weights in both systems. I tried to tell him a kilo was a bit over 2 lbs and I think he finally got the idea but acted very annoyed. It is understandable that some of your staff may be recent immigrants, but please make sure someone is available to translate. Second, they had a very good deal on "fresh" tuna at the fish counter and I bought quite a large piece. But when we got it home, it turned out not to be fresh at all and even after I marinated it it was not very good. We wound up throwing most of it away. If one is going to sell something at a discount because one has to get rid of it, it should be labelled as not being quite up to par. It was not available for me to smell it. These people have a nice new store but they need to get their act together. I'll probably come here for produce and some packaged goods, but not for meat or fish any longer. You are expected to line up to obtain a ticket which you must then walk back to your car and place on dash. Note the plentiful signage telling you that if you don't have a ticket with your license number on it, you will receive a fine. Not a good customer experience. Some kind of terrible nonsense that is. Great grocery store for those seeking more 'ethnic' type products. The produce is priced very reasonably. Haven't tried it myself but they do have a hot food counter which DOES look tempting. My timing has always been bad in that I usually end up there after lunch so never had a chance to purchase anything. Lines are normally long on weekends - most staff don't seem to speak English, which makes for challenges if trying to locate something, ask questions. The super market prices are higher than others. But it's alright because the location of the store & the rent will be caused more on Yonge Street. I've been shopping there since it opened. Then I stopped going there due to customer service. Recently I need something fast. For time saving, I do not want to go to other store. So I went to Seasons Food Mart on Yonge again. When I'm walking toward to the counter for check-out, the cashier saw me approaching but placed a "closed" sign on the counter & walked away. It's early in the morning; no other counter was opened & she's only cashier at the counter. I have no choice but wait for her to come back. Couple minutes later, the cashier came back with a thermo cup of tea. While paying, I said to the cashier "Visa". She activated the terminal then sliced the machine over to me side way. The counter is protected by a plastic shield & I was wearing mask. She could just place the terminal at the counter instead treating the paying customer like nobody. I bought some fish from the store, it was rotten and full of black bruise. The guy hide it and put it in the bag and I realized when I got home. When I took it back for return they did not take it back or return the money. I paid $25 for those pieces of salmon. These guys even they cannot speak English and they act like dictator. Very poor customer service. I won't buy anything from there and I won't recommend to anyone. read more

Awful customer service...mislabelled products with the same product marked at 2 different prices. When I pointed it out to the cashier, she simply removed the lower price and tore it up!! Then one of the workers who was loading the shelves pointed to the higher price and started shouting at me "dis price...dis price...so many " indicating a pile of bottles at the end of shelf. Having lived and worked in AsiaPac for 20 years I'm used to seeing this sort of behaviour in PRC...HKG... Clearly the move to Canada has not changed his tone or attitude to customers! I've only lived in the area for a year. Being Korean myself, I'm so glad that there are so many Korean restaurants and supermarkets around me, but sometimes I just crave hot pot at home and you need a good Chinese supermarket for that! This place is like a hybrid between a Chinese supermarket & a Loblaws. It's pretty new so everything is brightly lit, organized, and neat. The cooked food counter has an extensive selection of cooked chinese food mixed in with some western food. For the prepacked meals they also had the standard sandwiches, salads, plus they have sushi too. They even have a Filippino snack food aisle, which looked delicious but also incredibly fattening. LOL. They have a butcher counter & even a mini food court within the supermarket if you want to eat your freshly bought food. I didn't see any organic, gluten free or vegan sections though so don't go to this supermarket if you're looking only for those kinds of foods. You're better off going to Ambrosia which is just down the road from this place. Prices seemed reasonable & within the normal range of a Loblaws. Sometimes I go there for shopping and each time I promise myself never, never go back there! But it is the nearest shop and sometimes I don't have another choice. At the first months after opening everything seemed ok but as soon as they attracted some customers, everything changed. Unfortunately, nobody bothers to talk or, at least, try learning a few words to communicate with customers in English; always when I ask something cashiers look at me and answer something in Chinese or even don't look at me and never answer, implying that didn't hear or very busy or don't care... Unfortunately, some cashiers are really rude and impolite, conflict and shout at each other and sometimes shout at customers! It seems that shopping from Seasons food mart is cost effective, however if you look at products more closely it's clear that compared to other shops like No Frills, they offer lower quality products with the same price. The atmosphere here is great with a unique concept of the store that is viewable from the entire mall inside, really cool. The seafood/fish department was really clean and did not have any smell which is a bonus so they must be keeping their fishes fresh! Huge variety of produce and they're much fresher compared to TNT's produce which I cannot even put my hands into. My husband and I ate their dimsum at 12:40pm on Monday. Not only the food was stale, dry and tasteless, it came with hair stuck on the steamed dumpling. I was very unhappy about that. That night, both of had diarrhea and were sick until the next day. I do not recommend eating there....their food handling is a lot to be desired. read more

On a good note is they have a lot of variety of fruits and vegetables at fair prices. The fish market is well "fishy". I have bought my share of fish there over the years. The only thing I am not a fan of is if I am looking for something in the produce department it is difficult to get someone to understand what you are asking for. The place is very similar to T & T but it is a lot less crowded. Prices are also cheaper than T & T for many products. There are many parking spots underground which is great comparing to the situation in T & T where every drivers are fighting for the parking spot. The location of the shop inside the mall is great too. Once u drive into the underground parking u will immediately find the place. The staff at this store treat all customers like they are coming in and trying to steal their product. Today was an interesting day... have not been to the store in a long time and was in the area and thought why not go in and do some shopping.... wrong decision... was treated like a thief.... Was looking at the "immature plums"... and being a western born Chinese had never see this fruit before and though let's get some... my elderly mom picked up two and went looking for a plastic bag to put in... well... the Asian guy packing fruit at one of the tables came over and kept following us and saying "excuse me" in a voice that was like asking are you buying ... as though I was going to steal those tow plums.... I ignored him a few times but he kept coming up to me an kept saying "excuse me".... after about 5..6 times, I turned around and asked him what he wanted... he then said nothing... I asked him repeatedly... why did he keep following me and asking me "excuse me"... he would not look at me and mumbled... did not know if you were going to buy or not... then he said started talking to me in Mandarin.... do not know what he was accusing me of... so at this stage I was fed up of the implied accusations of us wanting to steal their product. We put the fruit down in front of him and I said I was going to ask for a manager... he said go a head. When asking for a manager... the staff in the front did not speak English and eventually had to get a guy who spoke Cantonese where we had to give him the details again... He then went to ask the guy what had happened... again speaking in Mandarin... when he was done speaking with the guy... he explained it was a mistake and that the guy only wanted to let us know that the weight would not be sufficient to weight.... well how did he know how much I was going to buy... before he started to chase us and saying "excuse me" in a tone that implied we were up to no good... Didnt have problem with the variety and quality of the food at Seasons, and Never expected a good customer service in a supermarket, but I had a really really bad experience with one of the cashiers at this supermarket to share. I live in the neighbourhood, I normally spend $80-$110 there on weekly basis, always thought it was a OK place to go. However, when i was there last Friday June10, the cashier I had was very rude, she left all the plastic bags on the counter, so we were putting the grocery away on our own, after I paid, i was going to double one of the bags which has ripped already without leaving the place( never mind how bad the quality was on the bags), this cashier rudely stopped me, and TOOK THE BAG AWAY FROM MY HAND! I was shocked by her reaction ! my mom nicely told her that we needed an extra bag , because one bag was ripped, and also we needed to separate some of the items. the cashier didnt say anything, turned her head away and left the one bag on the counter, took the rest of the bags away. terrible, right??I thought this was end of it. But NO.....!! after we left the counter, the cashier said ( either to another cashier or to herself) , " these people are too cheap to pay for bags! " well, firstly, they didnt charge for bags to begin with , secondly, she never asked me to pay for the last bag. thirdly, if the bag's quality was so bad and ripped, what would you expect me to do? So we went to the customer service desk, of course no apology, of course no settlement. I understand people sometimes have a bad day, but again, this is not an appropriate way to treat a customer. I bought boneless beef from Seasons, and they packaged the product with the bones at the bottom, so the package weighs more and you end up paying more money. Where are their ethical standards? They are clearly ripping people off. Do not shop here at all! Go to Ocean's or any of the other asian grocery stores.
