I never have nothing bad to say every time I come here. I love the orange chicken the best and the spring rolls are always crispy. The cashiers are really nice and will help you with the menu because it can be a little challenging when you come for the first time. I appreciate the generous portion sizes especially with the hibachi shrimp. It was more shrimp than you typically get in a restaurant. I am mortified at how myself and my husband was treated at the drive thru on Sunday night 12/14/2025 @ 6:03est.We noticed cars ahead of us went to the first window to order. So quite naturally we did the same. But the cashier opened the window and said why didn't you order at the back window. My husband replied the other cars didn't so we assumed we needed to order at the window. She then stated how long has y'all been in pooler and not know to order at the first window. I leaned over my husband and stated how is that relevant? She then asked a few more times you love her and not knowing to order at the first window? When we stop responding, she then let us place an order and pay, then she said pull towards the back and wait they will bring it out. at this time we was already in line over 20 min. My husband was polite and said ok thank you. we pulled towards the back and waited another 15min. My husband pulled around front and our food was ready just sitting. We have been eating from this location over 7 years and never encountered this type of treatment. I called and left a message for the manager and yesterday and still no response back. I really hope that cashier receives extra customer service skills because she was rude and out of line with her questioning. read more

This season of Japan is nasty overall in general just nasty. Their rice is always hard. Their chicken balls or steak bowls or even shrimp bowl is always burnt. You can taste the burnt. You can taste the crisp in the rice. It's just over all nasty and I've been there Three times hoping each time it get better and it get worse each time I would not recommend this restaurant maybe order something different on the menu but definitely don't get a shrimp bowl or chicken bowl or steak bowl because they are nasty mostly because the meat be partially burnt and the rice be to hard read more

I got the shrimp hibachi entree. The food was mediocre - good portion size, tasted only like salt. I normally don't like the "yum yum sauce" but had to use it in order to cover up some of the saltiness. The name is a misnomer as they basically only have hibachi. Surprisingly good, while driving we stopped for food but couldn't the traditional fast food on the side of the road so this seemed like a good option. I had the poke bowl and hubby had the steak bowl. Poke was ok needed more fish and not cut so small since it's not food for toddler but the steak bowl was delicious and the star of the show. read more

Pretty decent for take out hibachi. I ordered the shrimp and chicken hibachi, and the shrimp tempura sushi topped with smelt roe. The flavors were nice, shrimp hibachi was slightly overdone but overall it was a tasty takeout plate. The shrimp tempura in the sushi didn't taste fresh as it didn't have that crunch you would expect when biting into a tempura sushi roll. read more

This is a new SOJ, and they are off to a terrible start with their drive through. I thought I'd be able to get something on the go, but with only two cars in front of me, I waited at least 20mins, before I pulled out of drive through and went to a competitor. You can't be a new restaurant and have poor service right out the gate. read more

Very awesome food. I'm always satisfied with the Super Bowl when I come here. The restaurant is always spotless and just wanna say kudos to y'all for keeping those glass doors sparkling clean. This is one of my favorite Japanese restaurants to go to! I've been going here for years, however, after leaving the savannah area I hadn't had it in about 5 years. AMAZING is all I have to say. The portions are great, the taste is good, and I've always been satisfied. I must also say that their sauces are amazing! This location is inside of a strip mall so there's not much ambiance here and the food is cooked to order so there's no show, however, you'll still love the food here just as much as the locations with a show included. I was vacillating between a 3 or 4 star review of this Asian place. Savannah is severely lacking in solid Asian food (ignoring the cheap Chinese takeout places), and I was craving something even remotely Japanese, and I'll have to say, this place really hit the spot. The place is clean and well maintained. The staff are usually pretty friendly. I've been twice to this location now, and almost would've given it three stars because my food took almost 25 minutes to come out despite the place being almost empty. I had to ask twice because I think they forgot my order. The second time it was immediate, so I'll let it slide. The...suykiyaki bowl is very delicious actually and reasonably price for what you get. They season and marinate the rice, so even if you run out of meat, the rice is tasty. While sauces aren't my thing, there are unlimited sauces. Food is always fresh and piping out, and is very tasty. Overall, a solid place. The Pooler location at least is delicious and clean, worth coming to if you have a hankering for quick Japanese food. read more

Great food! I usually get the super bowl which is a combination of steak, shrimp, and teriyaki chicken with brown rice. It's got a delicious flavor and they give you this great sauce. Honestly, it's probably the best in pooler. There is always a line in the drive thru because it's consistent and just that good. I've had their sushi and it wasn't as spectacular as their bowls although not bad either. Prices are very good too, super affordable. It's also very organized, if the line is too long they have someone taking orders so your food comes out quicker. Very recommended! read more

The food was ok. I got sushi and a teriyaki bowl. Just typical fast food stuff. The customer service on the other hand... The cashier, Laci, was one of the most disrespectful people I've ever dealt with. She acted like she absolutely hated her job and dealing with people. I'd never been so I had a few questions about the menu, she was so put out she actually rolled her eyes. She scoffed at me when I asked if I could have the roll with some changes and said "I mean I don't know I'll have to ask" and all but stomped off before saying "I mean it is what it is." When I asked what came with the teriyaki bowl she paused and looked at me like I was an idiot and said "rice." When I came up to ask about the food because we had been waiting a while, she wouldn't even acknowledge me or look up from her phone. We will definitely not be back. Not worth it. read more

Stopped in for lunch with a friend. As I waited in the lobby it was quiet and peaceful even though there were five or six parties having lunch. The remainder of the lobby was clean and well kept. I ordered the Pepper Chicken Entree with fried rice and zucchini. The entree came on a black paper plate. We dined in so we had to obtain all of the utensils and dipping sauces by ourselves. While trying to get the utensils I had to place the tray on top of straws while getting my dipping sauces. I sat down to eat and everything on the plate looked picture perfect. It wasn't until I took my first bite that I realized that the food was room temperature. Not the least bit warm, mind you that this was around 2:00 pm. The lunch rush was gone. I continue eating because I was pressed for time but I was very disappointed because I generally a fan of Season of Japan. Overall this restaurant deserves a C+. The lobby and tables were clean, the atmosphere was calm and quiet, this location has a drive thru, and the white shrimp sauce is delicious. I wish I could say this place was good and I was surprised at the quality of food, considering the ratings this place had. Ordering: Stepping up to the cash register to order, never had the chance to look over the menu, the clerk was impatient and slightly rude... Seating: plenty of space/seating to bring large groups and there's a large TV set up in the side room if you want to watch sports Self serve condiments and drinks Menu: there's a large selection of sushi, cooked or raw rolls, soups, ramen etc...I ordered the spicy miso ramen and a spicy tuna roll (sushi). The miso soup was not very spicy and the meat in my soup looks and smelled old. Top that off with my sushi roll, and I eat a LOT of sushi, that tasted so fishy (and spicy tuna that's fresh doesn't smell OR taste fishy) I literally threw it out after eating one and a half pieces! Such a waste of money and definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. Unfortunately, I will not be a return customer. Two bad menu items in one purchase is a huge red flag for me and I refuse to waste good money on mediocre food. read more

Kathryn is a real treasure, she must have woke up on the grumpy side of the bed this morning. Luckily her manager Karli saved the day by taking over. This place is a Japanese McDonalds except the person at the register has her elbows on the counter and is hunched over. I was greeted with a "what do you want" which was, uh, okay I guess. The food was good portions for the price and tasted OK. There were plenty of sauces to choose from. Spicy, sweet and the works. The fat isn't trimmed off of the meat which makes it pretty chewy. I wouldn't trust the sushi, even though they have a large selection. It just seems too sketchy on the service to try. Wouldn't recommend until they improve the attitude and stop using throw away fatty meat portions. read more

My daughter and I stopped in here for lunch before a movie. It is casual fast-food, so I wasn't expecting much. I was delighted that the food was so tasty and priced right for my pocketbook! I was THRILLED to see poke on their board! I got the tuna poke bowl, and my daughter got a California roll and an order of edamame (she's 9, so she doesn't eat a ton.) The tuna poke was nicely seasoned and refreshing atop the slightly sticky rice. It was served with julienned cucumber, seaweed flakes, sesame seeds, and sliced avocado. I felt it was an excellent price for the amount served. The California roll was fresh and full, and the edamame was nicely steamed and hot when it was served. Their shrimp sauce (available from the sauce dispensers near the drinks) is the typical "yum yum" sauce...mayo-based deliciousness! We also tasted their teriyaki with the rice and it was sweet and salty...typical teriyaki. I know that this is not fancy food, but it IS tasty, and we both enjoyed our lunch here. This is a great place if you're looking to have tasty food at a very reasonable price. I found the service to be fast and friendly. read more

The cashier first didn't know what they were and they also didn't have them available. I ordered the beef steak and horrible. It was grilled beef steak with no flavoring or marinade. The rice was just hard. It was an horrible experience. Panda Express would have been better than getting this even though it's Chinese and not Japanese. I love the concept of turning hibachi, noodle bowls, and sushi into a "quick" service. It's a great idea for a restaurant. However, our experience was anything but fast. From the time we ordered to the time we got our food, it was 35 minutes. When several orders with numbers higher than ours were called, I went to the counter to check. The deer-in-the-headlights teenager working the cash register stared at me open mouthed. I said we'd been waiting (at that time) for 25 minutes. She said, "we have a lot of tickets." While the staff was in the weeds and not caring, I'll admit that the food was really good. I got hibachi chicken with onions, zucchini, mushrooms, and asparagus over rice. Seriously... this was enough food for almost three meals. My hubby got the sushi burrito that had both salmon and tuna. It, too, was huge and a bit messy, but he loved it. I would say we'll try the franchise again... just maybe not this location or if we do we'll order ahead or do the drive thru. read more

I reside in Atlanta Georgia, so whenever I'm back home in Savannah, seasons of Japan is always a treat. The food is always good and the service is usually good too. However, my last visit at this location was a disaster. Let me start by saying that I got there at 8:35pm on Sunday, to bring food back to Atlanta. Once I got to the counter, I was told the only thing they had was chicken and rice. I usually order hibachi shrimp and fillet mignon. I did not understand why I could not order hibachi shrimp and filet mignon when they weren't even close yet. I was told the grill was shut down. I asked to speak to a manager, so somehow the grill open back up and I got the fillet mignon however, they would not do the shrimp. Needless to say, I was disappointed. Then come to find out they did not have the three orders of filet mignon that I have paid for. I only could get two so I had to get a refund for my third order. I will say I asked if I could get a upgrade on my chicken bowl for my inconvenience. The manager did consent. Once my food was ready two other women (white women) walked in they were told the same thing (chicken and rice only) initially. That's not what they wanted. They wanted shrimp and so the manager said she would cook the shrimp. That's when I became livid. I don't know if it was because I am a black woman and these were two white women that came in. All I know is that there was no equality in this situation. It's perplexing, the grill would be closed at 8:35, yet open back up to cook shrimp at 8:55. Honestly, the food is really good. I can't take that from them, yet the way I was treated and the way they made me feel in that moment, I will NEVER go back to that location if I decide to go back to seasons of Japan at all. If I choose to go back, Victory Drive will be the only location I go to. They have always treated me with the upmost respect and even honored my request when it came to how I wanted my food prepared. It's so unfortunate that it is the same company and I can't say the same about the staff at this location. read more
