Great customer service. Helpful and honest advice. Friendly folks who were perfectly willing to…read moretalk options or make recommendations. For what I got, very reasonable pricing. A little over a week ago, my cat decided to water test my laptop. Long story short, a glass of water spilled into (!) my laptop. The laptop sat immersed in this pool of water for nearly 20 hours. Everything was complete toast. Although most of my files are in the cloud, especially the most important ones, I decided there might be the occasional file or folder that I might not notice tomorrow or even a year from now. I decided it would be best to retrieve the contents of the drive on the laptop for peace of mind. I left the laptop with them to do an assessment first. That assessment was ~$80. After their assessment, they indicated that the contents of the drive were retrievable and gave me an estimate of $400 to retrieve the contents of the drive (the $80 would apply to that figure). I decided it was worth the cost, if for nothing more than that elusive peace of mind. I also needed a drive to put the contents on (or provide my own). Since I didn't have one, and didn't want to bother with purchasing a 3rd party drive, they charged me $140 for a Toshiba Portable Storage device. So, for about $600 (w/ tax) I got everything off the lost drive. Was it worth it? Without a doubt. Would I go back? Hell yeah.

This is no longer the Progressive Tech you used to know and love. Long gone are the days when your…read morecomputer blew up and after spending several hours trying to fix it yourself, you trudged over to Prog Tech and had a one on one conversation about what the options were for getting you back up. And then you left it there and they fixed it. Now, it's obvious they don't want the local, neighborhood individual with a problem. They make it next to impossible to connect with anyone from just trying to find them on Roosevelt to no one answering the phone when you call them repeatedly just to make an appointment. They couldn't say more clearly, "We don't want you!" Stay away from them, they're not for you.

One was to purchase an cable to test the drive on other computers. In the end it turned out that the drive wasn't functional. Dave then recommended a data recovery company. I didn't know who to take my computer to for a fix other than the Geek Squad at Best Buy, who haven't been very helpful to me in the past. I figured I'd have to just suck it up and go buy a new, more compliant desktop computer that day. However, I checked with Yelp first just to see if there were any shops nearby that might be able to fix my computer. I'm really happy I came across PC Consulting. Dave was able to help me immediately. I brought him my computer, he tried a bunch of things to diagnose, and even though he confirmed that my motherboard had joined the Great Computer in the Sky, he was able to save my hard drive and memory and install it in a really inexpensive, temporary solution. He also gave me some great suggestions for my next computer even sending me a link to a great deal on Dell's website ($200 off!) for a computer ideal for my usage. He's a really nice guy. We chatted for a little bit more about geeky stuff before I took my temporary computer home to see if I could again VPN to my company. Success! Thanks to Dave, I was actually able to finish my work for the day, a feat I really didn't think I'd be able to achieve, let alone in just a few hours from when I discovered my original computer was dead. And I spent a couple Benjamins less than I'd expected.

I have worked with a few IT companies in the past and I can honestly say SWAT Systems is just many levels above what I have experienced thus far. They are very clear on their knowledge and what projects they can handle. They are quick, efficient, and really easy to communicate with. They are always happy to help me find solutions to problems our company might run into. I recommend them to anyone looking for reliable IT services! They also throw really cool events!!!

I work for a small business and our partnership with SWAT Systems has enabled us to position our company as we grow without the need to hire a full time in house IT position. Noel is a rock star, need a quote to add or change something to your systems, he is on it. We implemented SWAT's Backup Disaster Recovery (BDR) Solution for our server and because of Noel, Koll and Jim the transition went well. We even had a miss communication about how we wanted things to be configured and they were able to accommodate the change quickly to ensure that our data and systems are protected. When you need support, don't fret, you can create your ticket on line, or if you like the personal touch you can call and talk to support (I talk to Amanda often), they ask the right questions to get your problems resolved quickly. Try out SWAT, you will be impressed!
