I'm terribly disappointed with this team. We missed our appointment for our toddler because I went into early labor with my second child and was at the hospital delivering a baby. When my husband called them to inform of this emergency, all they came back with was that we will be charged $50 for cancellation. They seriously lack empathy. I paid the cancellation charge but will definitely never come back to them. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever experienced from a business. read more

My daughter has been going here since she was 6 months old. I schedule her an appointment the moment she got her first two teeth and has been going every 6 months since. She is 9 now. We love this place so much! We moved and our drive is 45 minutes but I would never change her dentist. They have the best staff! They're so amazing. We were on vacay two weeks ago and our daughter chipped her adult front tooth. They help me keep calm and stayed on the phone reassuring me everything is okay while I was crying. They also didn't get off the phone with me and stated I could keep calling if that will ease my mind. They got us in as soon as we landed and repaired it. Prior to that she had her annual appointment two weeks before. Every single staff member we have ever came across here has been simply amazing and nothing but positive vibes and smiley faces. read more

She is incredibly knowledgeable and empowers our girls to speak up and participate in their dental health. I have to say i love Dr. Merchant. She is so wonderful. Today my daughter who is 7 had to have a filling and a crown put in. No small task for a kiddo who was very nervous about it all. The Dr. and assistant were such a great team. They made my daughter feel comfort, relaxed and made the experience very positive. I appreciate Dr. Merchant took the time to explain to my daughter what would be happening before it happened. She was very gentle and afterward my daughter even said. " wow that went better than i expect." Today after a few hours after her appointment Dr. Merchant called to check up on my daughter and offer some advice to keep her pain free for the rest of the day. I have been going here for a few years. This was my second appointment there since COVID 19. I am also super impressed with their standards for safety but at the same time keeping a welcoming caring atmosphere. SO GREAT!!! My daughter has been going there since she was 1 yr old. She's now 4 and, for the first time, is having dentist-phobia. Her dental hygienist, Michele, was SO amazing! She was so patient and calm as my daughter tightly clasped her hands over her mouth refusing to open and protesting no matter what we tried. Well, she was clearly no match for Michele, who has probably seen it all before and calmly continued trying different strategies and tactics until finally success! When the visit started I thought, "Well, this isn't going to happen. We'll just have to try again in another month or so." We saw Dr. Sabeti & had Mary Anne as the dental hygienist. They were both wonderful! Our son is 20 months old and so squirmy. They were super patient and really could tell they enjoyed working with children. The place is SOOO kid friendly. From the banana scented yellow gloves to the bright turquoise chairs, this place will surely make going to the dentist a little more fun! It's modern, clean, & had a bright kids theme. I was always afraid of the dentist when I was younger. If I had gone here, do not think I'd have the same fears! He was very uncooperative but the tech and dentist both were so patient and gentle with him. They talked to us in very practice terms for his age. This was the second place I rang to try and get a fast appt for my 2 year old daughter to check a wobbly tooth. Unlike the first place I spoke to, they were warm, friendly, accommodating and were able to get her an appt that day! (Although she was sleeping for that appt) however, I just went this morning. Such a fantastic experience. We have delta insurance and they accept that. No out of pocket expense. Really appreciate the staff and the experience. We have just moved to the US from Australia and find most things lacking. This is not. Wonderful place. Highly recommend! This place is great for kids, especially kids that are scared to go to the dentist. They have movies on a screen on the ceiling they can watch, friendly staff, rewards at the vending machine at the end that kids like. They've also been able to fit us in quick when there's been an emergency, they are accommodating with scheduling, and they always have ample parking. read more

Awful, just awful if you need to reach them with a dental emergency. My daughter fell off her bike and was seen in the ER for 7 stitches on her chin. The next day she refused to eat because of tooth pain (the ER doc hadn't noticed anything). I called Seattle Kids Dentistry on a Friday morning before 10am and left a voicemail explaining the situation and asking to be seen that day since the weekend was coming on and my daughter wasn't eating. Three hours later someone called me and said "oh the office is closed today, she can't be seen today". This is the second time they have been closed on a random Friday and there is no notification on the website or anywhere that the office is completely closed. Will absolutely be switching to a different dental practice. read more

This is a truly amazing children's dentist office, especially with Dr. Linsenmayer! She, along with her awesome staff, took really good care of my 2-year-old daughter when she came for her very first dental checkup. My daughter was not the most compliant patient and started being fussy the minute we got there. However, her staff was great at doing whatever they could to calm her down and get her acclimated to the office. The lady at the front desk was very nice and tried to engage my daughter right away. The nurses and support staff were great at distracting her and getting her to relax, going above and beyond what I normally expect from a doctor's office. The icing on the cake was Dr. Linsenmayer - she was great with my daughter and definitely is the best dentist I have ever met! Not only is she personable and truly cares about her patients, she obviously is highly-trained and knows everything there is to know about kids' teeth. She does a good job of informing parents of what to expect at this and future checkups and patiently answers any questions you might have. I couldn't have asked for a better dentist for my daughter (or myself if I can sneak an appointment somehow!). My daughter was pretty stoked to leave with a goodie bag filled with a toothbrush, toothpaste and rubber ducky (her fave toy at the moment). And by the way, this is the coolest looking office I have seen in a long time! The decor is bright and inviting and yet super modern, and they have TVs on the ceiling so kids can be distracted (if necessary) during their cleaning. Brilliant idea! Our toddler's first and only dentist so far has been pretty much perfect. Easy parking and a beautiful office with plenty of light and a lot of toys/books to keep kids occupied. Genuinely caring staff who sees you exactly when you're scheduled to be there. Unlike other doctors we've had, Dr. Merchant and the techs give you good advice without sounding preachy or judging your current habits. Recently my kids had their cleaning in the new office (gorgeous!) and pretty much the staff are a frazzled momma's dream, doing everything they possibly could (WAY above and beyond what any reasonable person could expect) to keep my 3 year old happy and occupied while I talked with Dr. Merchant about my oldest kid's teeth. I also really appreciate how respectful they all are even when you have differing opinions on dental treatments (in this case, fluoride). I went in dreading that conversation, but Dr. Merchant was very respectful and simply shared her views with me, did not push the matter, and said "it's totally fine with me if you want to just delay this decision until later and revisit it again." I wish I could have had the dental experience my daughter had this morning. I absolutely LOVE Dr. Merchant and all of the staff here. Not only did they care for my 2 1/2 year old daughter in a friendly, compassionate and disarming way but they also educated me about dental care in ways no other dentist has taken the time to do. When we arrived, we were greeted by Ashley with a friendly smile and a great welcome. As we waited for our appointment, we read the "Dora goes to the Dentist" book in the wonderful play area. Then, Mary Anne came and talked to us a little bit in this same area. Great blending of areas to help transition to the treatment room. Mary Anne was very skillful in her ability to help my daughter feel comfortable during the teeth cleaning process. Although she did turn on "Finding Nemo" to play in the ceiling-installed TV, my daughter didn't even need the distraction. Dr. Merchant followed-up the cleaning with an exam that was equally as skilled and playful. She used the "explorer" tool to make quiet little notes as she sang "Twinkle Twinkle." BRILLIANT! She also listened to my questions and helped me understand why it's important to care for baby teeth and gums. She is a great listener and answers questions thoroughly. My daughter walked away with a new Dora toothbrush, a balloon, a sticker, a happy face pin, and two special gifts from the "gumball" machine in the waiting room (special tokens are given to get the fun toys inside!). From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, we were cared for and invited to laugh and smile. Then, when we got home, there was already a friendly and informative email in my inbox. Such great service! This was my daughter's first visit to the dentist and, since we just moved to the area, I used Yelp to identify a good pediatric dental clinic. Even though I'm not a kid, I called Dr. Merchant because I chipped a tooth nearby during practice, and really needed someone to fix it. Not only did she come in at 10:15 PM, but she managed to get my tooth straitened out quickly and gave me a great follow up on how to get it fixed permanently. Dr. Merchant and her staff are awesome. When we moved to Seattle and were hoping to find a pediatric dentist as good as the one we had back home. She exceeded our expectations. Her staff is very friendly and welcoming. Dr. Merchant is one of the best communicators of all the doctors I know. She takes time to explain exactly what they will be doing, asks if you have any questions and doesn't rush you in the conversation. After the appointment, she'll send an e-mail and review what was done that day and the next appointment. I wish more doctors would realize how important communication is with their patients and especially with younger patient's parents. She is great with my kid, too. My hopes were high after reading all the glowing reviews about Seattle Kids Dentistry. The building was bright and easy to access. We were running about 12 minutes late due to traffic, and they were understanding and did not make us wait longer than 5 minutes in the lobby before meeting our hygenist. From the intake, to the hygenist, to the xray tech, office manager, and dentist... professionals with the interest of building relationships and a lifetime of good dental health. Removing my 5-star review. My 7 year-old has been terrified of the dentist since he was 2. His first appointment here was fine, but at the second one...I don't even like to think about it. Another person reviewing this business mentions that their child was restrained. My son's most recent experience was similar. Pinning down a kid while s/he is screaming and sobbing? Never again. My kid was so terrorized after the appointment that he was throwing up in the car. I'm only mentioning this so that a) other parents are aware and b) hopefully SKD changes its practices, esp. when dealing with nervous children. Not recommended for kids who are afraid of the dentist. read more

Seattle Kids Dentistry is the best. The staff are all friendly, kind and patient. My boys have both knocked their front teeth out at 2 and 3 years old. As a mom, the experience was traumatic, but both Dr. Merchant and Dr. Sabeti made us feel comfortable and confident that they were getting the best care.
